Anelisse's familiar, creatively named 'Raccoon' is the ultimate in assistants for the high-maintenance mare. Although a mute, Raccoon has been with Anelisse for so long that the two can understand each other completely. Raccoon's passions for hair and shiny things make she and Anelisse a perfect fit; Raccoon will happily spend hours arranging the mare's hair and keeping her Mistress clean and shiny. Single-minded in her devotion and her likes, Raccoon is never far from Ane's side and will be the first to jump to her defense. Her unfortunate kleptomaniacal tendencies have occasionally gotten her in trouble, but she's just as devious at getting out of trouble as into it. Though two have been together since Anelisse was a foal, and there is no one she trusts more.
