Friends: Narcissa, she helped saved her from a curse and protected her from those who wanted to kill her. Verdauga was at first her friend because he helped her out several times. When she was lost, when she was guarding Narcissa, he was there to help. She saved his life when a pack of helixes started trying to hunt him down by warning him in advance and covering his scent and tracks. Upon meeting again they became much more than mere friends, soon pups were born. Conva and Takara are the couple's daughters. Joska's a friend because of Narcissa too, he helped her in a plot to distract a large crowd, led Narcissa right to them. She thinks he's very brave for a pup and got to tell him that his efforts weren't in vain, that Narcissa was saved.
Enemies: Jaden will likely hate her forever for stealing his pup, even if it was with the pup's permission and had good intentions.
Coloring: For those who for whatever reason can't see the image. The top half of her body is a lovely shade of blue that reminds me of a blue macaw parrot or a male peacock. She has sea green socks on her legs, underside of her neck, belly, and tail tip. On her hind leg is a white marking that looks like a hook, crescent moon and a small dot. Personality: 5 traits and 2 Quirks -------------Traits----------------------------- 1.) Competitive - This helix would love races, contests, fights, or any other competition. Especially if it's a good challenge, an obstacle to get over, or a problem for him to solve. Ever the little conqueror he loves winning. As long as it wasn't too easy. In the north food is scarce, helixes often compete for food, territory, and any other resources so it became a part of his nature. 2.) Independent - He doesn't have any parents, adults, or pack to guide him. No one will hunt for him or care for him. He has to survive on his own instead of being dependent on help that won't come. He feels a certain amount of pride for living alone as young as he is in such a harsh place. Therefore he makes his own decisions and won't take orders from anyone. He was too young to learn about different ranks in a pack so he won't understand the concept of one helix being more important than others, nor that a higher rank can order a lesser rank to do something for it. He will be rebellious against authority. 3.) A risk-taker - To him being cautious is stupid, especially when you have the chance to be rewarded. Who cares about a little danger if you could gain something for taking that chance? Life is full of danger, your going to meet up with it someday and when that happens you should face your fears with courage. If it looks cool, do it! Show off, have fun! Stop worrying about getting hurt. If it happens, it happens. He's an opportunist, if he sees a chance to get something he'll go for it! 4.) Hard-working - Being alone he has to do everything by himself. He has to hunt, has to clean his own fur, has to find shelter and make it through snow without sinking. He's never had the chance to slack off in his life. There is no room for laziness, to be lazy and no nothing meant death. Because of this he is restless and cannot sit still for very long. 5.) Flamboyant - He loves attention, craves it! He is more than willing to get it by being showy and colorful in speech and behavior to get it. Living alone he doesn't get to interact with many other helixes. Most of the ones he does encounter either steal his food or his shelter while others take pity on him, feed him then try to boss him around! Some try to act superior, talking about being a higher rank, whatever that meant. He remembers his bond with his parents, how nice it felt to be cared for. He has problems making friends or trusting others. Deep inside though, he wants to bond with someone and fill his heart with that warm feeling you get when you know you have friends and family. ---------------------------Quirks----------------------------------------- 1.) Glutton - Since food is scare in the north, especially for a pup who can't hunt big game, when he catches food he won't waste. He'll gladly eat the whole thing, bones and fur included. He'll eat to the point of excess, until his belly is so full it can't fit anymore in it. If there's more than he can eat he'll guard the food aggressively until he has scraped it clean. He doesn't believe in sharing or rationing food, that only led to trouble with other helixes wanting his food for themselves. 2.) Sensitive - If you can get past his fearful distrust and actually earn his friendship than you'll find you'll have the power to hurt his feelings. He's sensitive and unsure of himself when it comes to kindness and relationships, be it friendship or anything else. He'll do a lot to keep that bond going once it's formed. He'll always be trying to make you happy. He may be a little shy at first but be patient and he'll come out of his shell. You can ask favors, just don't order him around or he'll get angry and not do it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Likes: Food, competition, races, fights, contests, challenges, obstacles, winning, getting attention, warm places to sleep, the feeling of flying, showing off, proving he was right, making friends. Dislikes: Thieves, packs trying to keep him against his will, bossy helixes thinking their superior, taking orders, losing, going hungry, being cold, being ignored, feeling sad and abandoned, helixes trying to get him to call them 'mommy' or 'daddy' when he knows what his parents look like and knows it's not these strangers. History: His pack was starving to death during a particularly harsh winter season so his parents were forced by the alpha to abandon him, against their will, so the pack wouldn't have another mouth to feed. They thought he'd die quickly on his own but luck has been on his side so far. If he makes it to adulthood he plans to find that alpha and thank him for saving his life. On his own he has been able to find enough food just for him without worrying about feeding others. He doesn't plan on joining any packs, as they seem too bossy and some keep thinking they can order him around. Besides in his opinion packs couldn't be trusted, they didn't care about him, they just want his jaws to help them kill so they can eat. He doesn't know what being in a pack is like, or about ranks in a pack order. 1.) Natural leader - She is a serious, dependable, well-organized, responsible, peace-maker type. A great listener, a supporter of law and order, a negotiator, a fair but firm rule keeper, and an effective team player who is always very serious when she needs to be. She likes to take charge of situations and helixes often follow her advice.
2.) Friendly - She is generally a kind and sweet helix. She doesn't act rude or mean. She knows her manners. A chatty and trusting person as long as you don't threaten any of those she protects. She has a fiercely caring heart and a merciful, forgiving nature. Unless your human, then you better stay away.
3.) Serious - She tends to take things seriously, including jokes sometimes. Not always the best person to joke around with, as she sometimes won't understand that it was just teasing and feel hurt or offended. When she gives an oath, she keeps it. When she says something, she means it. She's very serious in her plans for her future. She wants to find a male to help lead a pack with her. She has a practical outlook on life and as a leader she is expected to stay serious, though sometimes she wishes she could lighten up now and then.
4.) Graceful - This helix is graceful in both speech and action including flying. You don't usually see her trip or crash land in flight. She has practiced the art of the dance all her life and makes it a habit to bring that fluid kind of motion into her everyday life. History: As an adolescent she was presented to a human village as the Alpha's female's first pup. The meeting didn't go so well. The humans thought she was evil and tried to kill her.
She took flight, knocking a torch over by accident. The torch lit a hut on fire, the humans thought she had breathed fire and tried shooting her with arrows. She dodged them out of fear, whooshing by low over the huts. The wind changed direction, blowing the flames to the other huts. Again, the humans blamed her.
Tired of her life being in danger by these two legged monsters she attacked, diving at them in mid flight. They all ran but one. One man engaged her in battle, a sword in his hand. They fought while the pack tried to calm the other fleeing humans. The humans turned on them and they ended up trapped in the village fire, all of her pack died.
Enraged she first killed the knight with the sword then she hunted down and murdered every human that had lived in the village, out of revenge for her pack and family. Only later did she realize what a monster she had been, by being exactly what they all thought she was... thankfully the other human villages don't know what happened so they don't blame helixes for the fire.

His father fell in love with a common stray dog from the human village. They sired a halfbreed pup named Inuyasha. At the pup's birth humans tried protecting the mother dog while plotting to kill the halfbreed pup. Lord Inutashio came to her rescue and died in a battle against the humans. The dog escaped with her vile offspring, a son that would be his half brother. While his mother despaired her husband's lack of loyalty to their bond as mates Sesshoumaru plotted to kill Inuyasha, honorably of course, in battle someday. He was a disgrace to their bloodlines and a painful reminder of his father's infidelity. The mother dog Lady Izayoi was killed by the village, the pup Inuyasha successfully fended for himself, grew up, gained a strange pack of his own. Sesshoumaru gained beta rank instead of Alpha rank, however he still considers the Western territory as mostly his, even without rank to back it up. Uh... yea. That was a pretty big post above. xD In case you forgot, here's a list of the family (some members weren't mentioned in the History but they're still related)! Personality descriptions have been included for Shadow, Nani, Comhnall, Kane, and the three pups from Nani's litter who are not in the Roleplay contest. They have been provided so that you may use them in your entry if you wish.
• Ark (played by Kurimuson Luna): Father of Shadow and his siblings.
• Haru (played by LunaRei_SilverBlood): Azula's mate. (He's also related to a whole other family (which is huge, by the way) but I won't go into that.)
• Azula (played by Ryuukishin): Mother of Shadow and his siblings.
• Shadow (played by Ryuukishin): Aiming for Alpha status. First born in Azula's litter. He grew up with an unknowledgeable female as his mom and a weak-willed friend (Nani) as his best friend, so he pretty much believes males are better than females in terms of strength. xD He doesn't show this much in RP, though. He's very fond towards Nani (he won't show his soft side around others, though) and can be a bit possesive around her, but cruel to her pups. If you didn't read the History, then he basically gives them the cold shoulder. If he brings back food (which is mostly meat, much to Nani's displeasure), he'll only bring enough for Nani. If the pups go near him, he'll push them away. Heck, if he bred with Nani and had a disabled, retarded pup born, he'd think it was better than any of Comhnall's pups. Overall, he can be quite simple-minded. He's the "more brawn, less brain" type, the kind who would charge into a fight without thinking, hence why he and Nani make a good pair, since she happens to be the only one who can hold him back long enough for him to think about his actions before he does them. He also has a bit of an ego problem, since he's been trying to impress Nani since he was a pup. Since she was constantly around him, he got into the habit of making sure he had a good reputation, even when Nani isn't around, which has has yet to grow out of.
• Erebus (played by Lural and LunaRei_SilverBlood): Shadow's younger brother.
• Aurora (played by Kurimuson Luna): Shadow's younget sister.
• Maeve (played by Heavenly Snow): Ark's mate.
• Nikita (played by Kurimuson Luna): Shadow's half-sister.
• Piano (played by Heavenly Snow): Shadow's half-brother.
• Chance (played by Ryuukishin): Shadow's half-brother.
• Nani (played by (~Socal.Outcast~)): A shy, soft hearted helix with a painful past. She became Shadow's friend at a young age, and was always at his side until she made her first friend without Shadow's help: Comhnall. In a faithful night, after eating some aphrodesiatic mushrooms, Nani became pregnant with Comhnall's pups. She loves them with all her heart, even though Shadow despises them. Comhnall is still her dearest friend, and she tries to see him as much as she can.
• Bellino (played by (~Socal.Outcast~)): Nani's cousin.
• Comhnall (played by Ryuukishin): Father of the pups. Since his past was described in the "History" post, I won't add it here. Comhnall is a shy helix with a low self-esteem. He blushes too easily and is often overly submissive, rolling over every time a stranger passes by. He's slowly growing out of this and getting more confident, too, with Kane's help and protection.
• Kane (played by Autumnvicky2): Aiming for Beta status. Kane was abandoned by his pack during a famine in the North. He grew up an orphan with a general hatred of packs. As an adolescent, he left the North and began traveling in an attempt to learn all that he could about the other territories. He met many helixes along the way, and his opinion about packs changed until he finally wanted to become part of one. Kane knows he's a bisexual helix. He's curious, willing to learn, observant, helpful, nice when he wants to be, playful when he can be, wants to be part of a pack, dominating to those lower in rank, bossy when he can get away with it, has a temper, is very social, very open about being bisexual, and protective of those he cares about.
• Titan (played by Ryuukishin): Ark's brother. Shadow's uncle.
• Rue (played by Kurimuson Luna): Titan's mate. Shadow's aunt.
• Victoria (played by Kurimuson Luna): Titan's son, Ark's nephew (Ark thinks of her as his adopted daugther, though). She's like... Shadow's cousin.
• Annabelle (played by Ryuukishin): First born female. She lives with Shadow and Nani. Annabelle is an adventurous little pup, often sticking her nose in places it doesn't belong. She tries to be a good older sibling but feels she failed in that duty when she allowed Kane to escape with two of her siblings. Although she does her best to impress her adopted father, he never seems to take notice of her. Unlike her father, who would shy away from such behavior, Annabelle didn't stop trying. However, Shadow's constant lack of care for her activities angers her and, slowly but surely, her admiration of him is shifting to hate.
• Chana (played by Autumnvicky2): Third born female. She lives with Comhnall and Kane. Adventurous, active, and outgoing. Enthusiastic, independent, too brave for her own good, uniquely naive, and surprisingly trusting. Impulsive, acts first, asks questions later. Drama queen, eternally curious, always asks questions, talks a lot, and love challenges. (She's surprisingly similar to Shadow. xD)
• Segugio (played by (~Socal.Outcast~)): Youngest of the litter. He lives with Shadow and Nani. His name means "track hound". He likes to think of himself as his mother's little speed demon and is prone to cuss (a lot). He's good at running from the attacks of Shadow, but he isn't a pansy like his dad. He takes after Nani's father personality-wise, with his doting, protective, and leaderly qualities. He is Nani's little reminder of everything, and has a major bone to pick with Shadow. It all started with the day Ark met Azula. Azula had lost her parents as a young pup and had little to no knowledge of the world. When she saw Victoria, adoptive daughter of Ark, running around, she thought it was the cutest little thing and had asked Ark to help her get her own puppies. Ark had thought she was quite beautiful at the time and agreed to help her. Next thing you know, she gives birth to a small litter of three (she was an adolescent at the time): Shadow, Erebus, and Aurora. After Ark helped her, Azula pretty much lost interest in him, seeing as she had her eyes set on Haru. By the time the pups were born, Ark had found a mate, Maeve (whose cert isn't in the Photobucket xD), and although he tried to be a good father, his mate had some pups of his, too, so he was a busy little dad for a moment. But, anyway, this isn't about them anymore. Moving on....
Shadow, the oldest of Azula's litter, found Nani one day, after he had snuck out. Nani's parents had been killed by a bear recently and she would have died if an unknown helix had not led the bear away. She was pretty shaken up by this event and when Shadow passed by, she was reluctant to leave him. Ark found the two together and he took them back to Azula, who let Nani stay with her and her pups. Ever since, Shadow and Nani have been inseperable, until Kane, a bisexual helix, showed up. Shadow and Nani had gone close to the Northern territory to play around when they met Kane and Nani had left to wander while Shadow and Kane tussled around in the snow. Together, Kane and Shadow saved Nani who got stuck in the Northern snow and, although Shadow and Kane were competitive with each other, they still became friends. Ever since the incident, Shadow had been exploring more often without Nani, trying to become stronger to protect her better. During his time away, Nani got lonely and made a new friend of her own.
Comhnall had had a rough past, as well. His parents had high expectations of him, their first born, and his pink coat was unexpected, even detested by his homophobic father who thought pink was too much of a feminine color for his son. His hate for his son only grew when Comhnall's mother and the rest of his siblings died of an illness. Only when Comhnall was a young adult did he find the courage to run away from his father who, in his attempt to make Comhnall strong, made him fear the world. Comhnall's hope was to never be like his father but he couldn't help but to hate homosexuals. After all, his pink coat made it a common topic for his father.
Comhnall's first friend was Nani and he was her first friend, as well. They were both submissive and got along well with each other. Nani had been the first female he'd ever spoken with who hadn't made fun of his cowardice and so he thought he loved her. He had never been around other kind helixes before, so there was no way for him to know that the love he felt for Nani was a sibling kind of a love, not a I-want-to-live-the-rest-of-my-life-with-you-and-maybe-die-when-you-die kind of love, and he delusioned himself into thinking it was a deep love. He knew of Shadow from talking with Nani but had never seen him, so he didn't know Nani loved Shadow so much. He merely thought it was a simple crush and made as many advances on Nani as he dared when she snuck away from Shadow to visit him. Nani didn't want to hurt Comhnall and tried to let it be known that, although she loved Comhnall, she loved him as a friend, and that Shadow was the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Comhnall apparently couldn't take the hint.
When Kane came out of the North, his home territory, to visit Shadow and Nani, his puphood friends, he came across the path of Comhnall who was, well... about to be eaten by lynxes after he accidentally crashed into their cub. Kane had saved his life, thinking Comhnall to be the hottest thing he'd ever seen (he realized he was bisexual by that time) and made a move on him. This is the part where you remember Comhnall's kind of homophobic because of his dad. Comhnall lashed out at Kane not only to stop him but to stop himself, because he realized that Kane made him feel happier than Nani did, just by being close to him. Surprised by this action (Comhnall's a coward, after all xD), Comhnall ran off.
The next day, Comhnall and Nani met on one of their romps together. Nani told him she was going vegetarian (the fact that she saw her family slaughtered by a bear may have had some play in this decision) and Comhnall, eager to please, told her he'd try out some plants with her, and pretty soon, they were on their way to a field of mushrooms. Nani's idea of testing for poison happened to be this: eat something. If you don't drop down dead, it's safe. After "testing" a few heart-shaped mushrooms out, she deemed them delicious and ate practically all of them. Comhnall took a few bites, just to be polite, but found them unappetizing compared to meat and pretty much tried to choke them out when Nani wasn't looking. One side effect of this they hadn't known about was basically this: it made them horny. Nani more so, seeing as she had the most. They mated that night, Nani, under the influence of the mushrooms and Comhnall, to prove to himself that he wasn't gay after the incident with Kane (he got his courage to do it from heart-shaped mushrooms xD). The mushrooms must have been some sort of drug, or something, because they forgot about what had happened the night before when they woke the next day, and Nani had left instantly, worried that Shadow would be angry for her disappearance. None of them knew that Nani was pregnant.
A few days after, Comhnall's memory returned and he was too embarrassed by what he'd done to seek Nani out and avoided her for most of her pregnancy. Nani didn't remember, but she must've realized what happened when her stomach started getting fatter. xD Shadow, having never been around a pregnant female, thought it was just her vegetarian diet which made her heavier and smell strange so he wasn't at all worried until the day Bellino (who's homosexual, too, by the way xD), Nani's cousin, found out and told Shadow, when he had assumed Shadow was the father.
Nani had left earlier that day and had found Comhnall sleeping in the base of a tree. She confronted him about her pregnancy and, after his initial surprise, Comhnall admitted he was uncertain if he wanted pups, since he wasn't sure if he'd be a good father and he had no wish to be like his dad, so Nani agreed to care for them. Comhnall asked Nani to stay with him, too, since she was going to have his pups but she rejected his offer for Shadow. It was only then did Comhnall realize how much she loved Shadow. They parted soon after, guilt weighing down both.
When Nani returned to Shadow, he demanded to know who the father was. After finding out, he went in search of Comhnall and tried to kill him in his rage until Kane came in and forced Shadow back. Shadow still respected Kane for saving Nani's life and agreed to leave, although his hate for Comhnall only grew. He would have loved to kill the pups, but it was Nani's first litter, and she was protective of them. When it was finally became obvious that Nani would protect the pups no matter what, Shadow ceased his attempts to murder them, instead choosing to ignoring them. If they whimpered for food, he'd push them away from him. When he brought back meat, it was only for Nani. Basically, he gave the pups the cold shoulder.
During that time, Comhnall went with Kane, who had saved his life twice by that point, and finally accepted the fact that he was homosexual and loved Kane. A month or so after Comhnall's pups were born, he and Kane went to visit them. They talked to Nani for a few moments before Shadow returned from his hunt and chased Comhnall away. Kane, thinking Comhnall wanted his pups, managed to grab two of the pups and ran after Comhnall (I imagine it was a very uncomfortable time for the pups xD). Shadow made no move to bring them back and Nani thought it would be best for Comhnall to have them since they were, after all, his pups, too, and it wasn't as if Shadow was being the best father in the world.
