A smile was pulled from Cure at Plague’s response, fingers idly stroking his waist. He would disagree but he certainly wouldn’t mind their children to look a bit like him. It would be even better if they looked like both of them; what an ultimate declaration of love and commitment.
A slight blush rose in the taller man’s cheeks as Plague leaned forward to take the piece of cotton candy with his mouth. Oh… he liked that. Putting the candyfloss to the side so that he could continue to feed Plague, he watched carefully as his lover participated in the game. Fascinated, he leaned in closer, wanting to see how it worked. He wanted to try playing too, after he was done.
It surprised Cure, too, when the flitterat came from no where. Quickly, his arm came in front of his boyfriend, ready to push him behind his body and protect, when finally the familiar registered in his mind. Oh. Slowly moving his arm, he watched Plague fuss over the critter, curious himself over the double set of eyes. ”That… wasn’t supposed to happen, was it?” he wondered out loud, glancing over at the other participants who were, in fact, not catching flitterats. While he was doing so, someone sneaked some tasteless candy into his bucket.

Loren had been relaxing on a bench, their arms on the back of the bench, spread out so that no one else could sit on it, while they watched festival-goers meander and wander around. Although they weren't really doing anything, Loren liked this chance to relax without the presence of video games within nearby reach. It was always hard to keep themselves from playing a game when they just wanted to watch the clouds on their balcony or take a nap.
So to get away from them and have a good excuse for it, Loren felt like she had just gone on some large trip to some faraway land and already felt like a new litch! It wouldn't last though, and they only wished that they had a park nearby or something so that they could spend the day outside. Alas, even though they lived in an apartment building, there were no nearby parks. The balcony would just have to do.
They didn't realize that a kid was having a tantrum nearby about a plushie they had gotten, it was the wrong color, and they threw it into Loren's bucket while in the midst of the tantrum, and the kid was whisked away by their parents.
Jay groaned at the lack of tricks to be played upon others. "Why doesn't this festival have anything good?!" They shouted, getting stares from strangers as they stomped off again. Of course, no one knew what Jay was talking about since they were raging in their head, so Jay looked pretty ridiculous.
"What kind of Haunted Hallows festival was this?! It was like no one cared about the "trick" part of it, only the "treat" part! The tricks were literally half the fun! Why else would they have encouraged tricking during this holiday?
This time, it was Jocelyn who got to the next door first. She collected herself and waited for the freshie to catch up. "Ready?" she asked as she hovered her fist in front of a new door.
"O-okay, I am ready," replied the little hybrid. She had her bucket in front of her, ready to receive something good.
"Trick or treat!" they both shouted at the same time, and they were met by an odd couple who wouldn't keep their hands off of each other...
"O....k....thank you guys. We must go now," said Jocelyn to the couple at the door, and pushing Misa to walk faster back onto the sidewalk.
"So what did you get?" she asked the freshie.
"A colourful rock..." was her response.
"Yeah...same here...lame..."

Ugh what was he going to do with his crying husband now? He needed to cheer up already. A wisp flew by and hovered, holding a bag of eyeballs. It was destiny, the wisp wasn't going to ever leave this nightmares side.
