The fact she got others to join in on the game was awesome, and Cameron's tail flicked and swayed behind her as she watched freshlings and older people alike take their chances with the wheel. Though she knew she needed to take her leave and move on, she tried once more herself and spun the wheel. It was her delight to find the peg landed on an orange slot. A prize! She grinned and selected another bottle, this time with a bubbling green liquid inside. Wonder what they even are, huh...
Her little flitterat had very decidedly remained on her shoulder, surveying the festival as Corvus continued on. With its... four eyes. She'd squinted a bit at that. How uh... common was that? It seemed friendly at least, and she didn't object to the companionship. If anything, it added to the almost whimsical nature of the festival. At one point, her little familiar began to squeak and strain slightly on her shoulder, and Corvus paused, watching it as its nose twitched wildly. Following its gaze, she perked up to see some candyfloss being spun around cones. Not a bad idea, she decided with a slow smile. Shortly, she plucked off pieces of her new piece of candy, keeping most in her bucket while offering one piece to the flitterat while she popped the other piece into her mouth. Good eye, that lil' guy.
She might not want to admit it was her own fault for not paying attention. It was really easier to blame the jerks who snuck up on her. From in front.
Shut up.
There were so many treats in the festival, the fact that she would run into some tricks was an eventuality. She just... hadn't really been ready for it. That's all. The people in the masks must have just come out, she'd decided, because she hadn't heard anyone else scream up ahead of her. She was passing between booths when they were suddenly there, big creepy masks up in her face, making creepy moaning and clicking sounds. Way too much up in her face. She couldn't help but scream, and tried to take a swing at the closest one with her bucket. They took that movement as a chance to drop something into her bucket--candy, she'd later realize, from a huge container full of it they had--before they made cackling sounds and continued onward. To spook and give out candy. Tricks and treats. Yeah, Jude wasn't a huge fan of it all...
More walking, more booths, and Kaden was amused to soon find yet another ghosty looking plushy. They soon added it to their bucket, seemingly completing the trio from what the vendor told them. They loved it, and really overall were having a wonderful time. The little bunch of candies they got from a small game--a trick, apparently, which was odd to them--also joined in the bucket, and they marveled slightly at the growing weight of the bucket...
Another game, this time tossing rings onto bottles again. Another player was up first, another starry-looking sort. Orion watched patiently as they tried their aim--and luck--before he was motioned by the vendor he could begin his own game in a different part of the booth. "Best of luck," he said simply--to the other player, and to Reina as she waited for her turn.
He picked up his three rings and managed to get his first one on the bottle. Promising. Or so he thought. His last two throws were not as effective, and he scowled slightly. At least he did get something though, selecting a little hanging ghost made of festive cloth. It would be cute to hang in a window, right? Shrugging and placing it into his bucket, he returned to the freshling, though noted the other player had gotten a plushy for their success. "Ah, congratulations." Seemed cute, actually.
She wasn't sure what to expect from this game--at least, she had a bunch of fun with them. Just hoped Orion wouldn't get grumpy again... Reina lingered near the player who was ahead of them as Orion went to play his game, watching as the first player got two misses--oops...--but their final ring--! "Yay congrats!" She clapped as he was given his new plushy, grinning ear to ear. The vendor got her set up with her own game and she stood on a stool to bring her up on level with the counter. Biting her tongue, she tossed her first ring... oh a win! And her second ring... it wobbled and swayed, but it dropped down on the bottle. She yipped and bounced where she stood, delighted and thrilled to say the least. Then her final ring...!
"Oooh!! Wow!! Yay!" As she gleed and jumped about, the vendor brought over a large box and opened it. Little flitterats skittered about and Reina had to smother a scree of further happiness. "Really? I get one?" Her tail whipped around behind her, and she took her time trying to select a new friend. At last, she selected a little grey flitterat, cradling it carefully in her paws as it began to squeak and sniff about her. "Thank you! Thank you!"
Tahir was having such a great time, enjoying the treats and tricks he was collecting, taking a moment to pause and fawn over them in his basket.
Goodies:
Honeycrisp was just leisurely admiring the views of the hardwork put into making the event. But he got distracted when a familiar suddenly bounded into his arms!
Goodies: {familiar}
Plague was so distracted by his lover that... he didn't pay much attention to what was around him.. Not surprising when a trick was pulled on him by a volunteer jumping out and spooking him.
Goodies:
He supposed festivals were alright. It gave him an excuse to wear some of his cute outfits and costumes that flattered his banging figure. After all, Tulio liked to flaunt himself, even if he preferred more conservative attire. He was a classy man, after all. But perhaps for this occasion, he could show a little more than he usually did.
Wearing a larger false bosom to compliment the low dip of his tightly hugging dress, that was themed after a toga, the chimera paused by a reflective glass pane to primp his curly hair that was pulled up in a beautiful up-do, dawned with golden laurels on the sides. Feeling himself, he kept smirking and glancing at his reflecting at various angles, posing and adjusting a curl here or there... unaware of a child that went screaming by dropping a lollipop into the bucket he had on the ground beside him.
Her son wasn't talking to her. But maybe that was because he didn't realize that she was her mother? Rivalina took a lollipop blindly, contemplating. INVENTORY
Gale was just about to go home, moping about the fact that there wasn't anyone here that he could at the very least meet and talk to, when he spotted... chimera! Wearing a... toga? Not very creative, but at least it was something. A lot better than what a lot of the others here were wearing.
With a snap of his finger, Gale appeared closer to the chimera, though out of the line of sight so they wouldn't scare them by suddenly appearing before them. He could however, now walk in front of them and send a smile/smirk their way. "Well hello. I was just lamenting the fact that I didn't think I would see anyone dressed as nicely as I am here until I spotted you in that amazing toga." Though secretly Gale still though of himself as the better looking one. "I'm Gale. May I know your name?"
Caspian hadn't noticed the two behind them, and when they heard them and turned around and saw them, they jumped a bit in surprise! Of course the two behind them weren't scary but they really hadn't been expecting anyone to be right there!
Caspian took a breath though after they had jumped to calm themselves down a bit. "I'm so sorry! I didn't see you two! I hope I wasn't in the way for too long!" They would feel terrible if they were. They blushed a bit at the congratulations. "Thank you." They said a bit quietly, and moved out of the way so that others could play in their old spot. "Grats on the plushie you got too." Caspian said, giving a nod to the freshling. "Uh, are you guys having fun at the festival so far? Though if you're in a hurry then I'll be on my way and I won't bother you!" They said, their voice squeaking a bit. After all, this was a crowded place, those two were strangers, and they may have had plans to go see the rest of the festival after all.

Remiry had taken a break and had gotten a soda from one of the drink vendors, trying to find something that would keep her paying attention and awake in case she was able to spot her victim. She supposed that they would at least be showing up to speak, but she hadn't seen anything in the festival pamphlet that would give her any hints as to where the target would be since it didn't mention any speeches or special guests within it.
She sighed and took out the pamphlet again, hoping to find something that she had missed before.
If there was one thing about growing old that Albert especially disliked, it was that his metabolism was quite low. Which is why it had been so easy for him to fall asleep on the bench he had been sitting on. Luckily he didn't have anything of value on him to steal, so even if someone did try to pickpocket him or steal from his bucket, he wouldn't be losing much. After all, he could just get the items again.
But if someone looked, they would see an old male naiad sleeping on a bench, and would probably feel a bit sorry for the 'old man' and be glad that they had more energy.
Brion had still been curious about some of the game "booths" that littered the festival, and he had walked up to one, this one being some sort of balloon pop game, and watched as a few others before him played and were handed a "prize" of a plush. Brion didn't understand the need for collecting non-living things, as they couldn't move or interact any way and were just meant to be shown off, but he decided that he would try the game himself, get a plush, and see if he could figure out the reason that so many cared for the soft items.
It had only taken him one try, having watched the other participants and gathering data from them, he was able to estimate how he should throw and how hard, and was easily able to pop the needed balloons.
However, when he tried to ask for one of the plushes, he was instead directed to a few familiars that the host had on the side. Brion didn't realize that these were also a part of the prize list, and because he had done so well, he instead got to pick one of them. While he would have turned them away, he did remember the destructive fennekin he had at his apartment, and decided to choose one of the floppy-eared ones that they had available. He quickly made it so that the fennekin couldn't get away, but it seemed that it already liked him. He supposed that the fennekin would be a suitable friend for his current one.
