This year, like any other, the village of Asphodel Gardens is celebrating their annual Haunted Hallow's festival in the Gardens Park! Games are practically littered throughout the grounds, and the sound of children squealing can be heard from quite a distance away. Plenty of juniors and seniors are trying their luck with festival games, while freshlings are being guided by caretakers on an adventure to trick-or-treat throughout the village. Costumes of all sorts adorn the Nightmare and Daydreams celebrating the holiday. Do you care to join the celebrations?
Every day you are allowed to roll for each of your Nightmares to receive treats or tricks! You also can end up with a familiar, if you're lucky. However, you must RP your character receiving their prize, or doing something in the festival when you roll. It's suggested that while you can roll for every Nightmare you have, you only roll for the amount of responses you can handle! You can keep rolls in one post, or in individual posts. Roll a 20-sided die per Nightmare you're including in the ORP! ---Odd numbers give you a trick. (which you can grab from the prize list found below). ---Even numbers give you a treat. (which you can grab from the prize list found below) ---If the number ends in a 3, 6, or 9, you can also take home a plushie along with your original prize. ---If the number ends in a 5, you may also take home a familiar along with your original prize. Rolling a treat not only gets your kid a candy/trinket, but also a point! ---The three people with the most points (the most won treats) will be able to take a Kid home with them (which are pictured above). ---However, only three of your rolls a day can equal your treat tally. If you roll six kids and five win treats, only three of those will be tallied. ---Please keep a list at the bottom of your posts for us to easily manage how many treats you have! Failure to do so will mean you will not be considered for the chance to win one of the three kids! ---Failure to fill in all your treat count posts by the ending date will disqualify you from tallying those points. Do not delete posts. We will disqualify you from the chance to win the kids if you do! While most of the characters will receive prizes through trick-or-treating, you are encouraged to create creative situations if you grow bored of your character receiving a prize through the standard trick-or-treating! Characters may trade prizes! Treats can be traded, but keep in mind the points they give you will vanish and be given to the new person! Keep your logs updated!

The festival had arrived. Prosper loved all the sights and sounds. Especially the candy that came with it. The hybrid was a bit of a glutton when it came to treats.
Something from the corner of his eye caught his attention, making him smirk. A little ghostie? That was too cute. He took one and placed it in his pocket. One of his kids was bound to like it. Speaking of, where were those brats...
Karma...was alone. They didn't know how they escaped from their father's clutches successfully, but they did. The festival was sure to keep him occupied for a while. Karma was ectastic. No rules, no punishments. No nothing.
Nothing.
Karma slowed in their step, their brows pulling inward. They were alone. They didn't know anyone around them. And there were a lot of scary nightmares rummaging about, much bigger than them.
Shivering in fear; Karma pushed up against a rickety table as a chomp accidentally brushed passed them.
And got something wet and sticky splashed on them in return. They made a face, reaching up to touch the mess. Gross.
Rafe wasn't one to usually go to festivals. His idea of a relaxing evening was sitting at home in the company of Maeko. Not outside meandering through the streets for free things. Like candy. He could buy his own treats. Money wasn't an issue for him. He wasn't a charity case.
Obviously, he wasn't a people person. Not when it didn't benefit himself. And this? Wasn't very benefiting. He was starting to regret going out.
A sharp thing struck the bottom of his shoe, making him wince. Blue eyes trailed down to see...a rock? Ugh. 'U suk'. "Childish." He sneered, placing it in his pocket. Whomever made it needed to stay in school. INVENTORY
Ah yes, the festival. Emmerate hadn't been in...well...in a while. The ship that he had been on didn't stop for haunted hallows. There were too many things out at sea and every day was an adventure filled with all sorts of treats out there. There was no need to celebrate on land.
Yet, he had missed it, each year. It was one of the events that he had been looking forward to in normal life.
Letting out a pleased sigh, he eyed the booths individually. So many great, normal things. One of the plushies caught his eye, making him pause. A little skeleton plush. How cute. Maybe Vega would like it... He took the stuffed animal in his hand, staring at it.
Liv didn't enjoy the crowds. Didn't enjoy all the children shrieking. She liked peace and quiet. And in the academy, that was rare to get. Someone had to volunteer and help clean up the mess that all the nightmares and daydreams left behind though.
A sigh left her lips as she scooped up more trash. Trash collecting--hopefully that would put her in a good school. Maybe. Ugh.
Her eye caught sight of a plush bunyip making her pause. If only Reece was there...She took the icy looking bunyip and stuffed them in her bag. Might as well enjoy a bit of the festival while she worked. INVENTORY
Buster's dark brown eyes lit up at the sights and smells of the festival. There was so much going on, so much to do! He could hardly wait. His feet bounced up and down in excitment. Pancake, his tail, however; wasn't too thrilled to be there. Their whiskers twitched and body sagged underneath him. The shade hybrid was practically dragging the poor tail on the ground.
Something caught Pancake's attention though. They lifted their head, whiskers twitching Drink. They were quite thirsty. Buster turned around as the tail inspected bottles at a stand. "Thirsty buddy?" he chuckled as the tail nosed one of the bottles, knocking it over. "I gotcha" One of Buster's large claws grabbed the bottle and uncorked it, handing it over to his tail mouth who greedily took it in. Pancake would have eaten the glass too, if it weren't for the pesky man that he was attached to getting in the way. INVENTORY
Narcissus carefully picked out his own bucket, and accepted the small trinket that they nice demon offered him. Tail wagging, he backed up a bit so he could watch his momma and Destiny pick out their buckets and treats.

Dandy collected a bucket and treat of her own as she watched Destiny debate which bucket was the best. The cute little girl was switching back and forth between which one would look best. She didn't want one too similar to the one Narcissus had, but didn't want one that was completely the opposite. Watching the hybrid, Dandy couldn't help but smile. She had taken Destiny off her father's hands for the night so that they could have a nice time for Hallow's Eve.

Destiny bounced back and forth between the buckets that the demon had sitting out for them to take. The one with the teeth was pretty neat, but then the pumpkin one was super pretty. How could she pick just one of them! Before she could get too aggravated about the decision, the cutest familiar popped it's head out of one of the buckets she'd had her eye on. Squeaking with excitement, she scooped that one up immediately, not even paying attention to the bag of eye marbles that she got with the bucket.
Cyril stared for several moments at the bucket he'd been handed. If he wasn't wearing a mask he would have assumed that they were making a statement about his mutation. But. . .that wasn't the case. Still, it was unsettling to have a bucket covered in eyes and to make matters worse he was handed a bag of eye. . candies? He hoped they were candy. They were a pretty color, but the eye-centric theme was enough to have him hurrying away from the booth. Hopefully he wouldn't continue to get items of this theme.

Kanda bounded forward, eager to get this hallow's eve started. Her father had let her go out with a friend and she just had to pick up her things and she could meet up with them. Scooping up the most spooky of buckets and accepting the adorable plush and potion she was offered she dumped them in the bucket and ran on ahead. There were so many houses to get candy from and so many costumes to see! She couldn't wait.
Asari was so stoked as she made her way into the festival. She had been looking forward to it all year and had made damn sure she was going to be free to attend this time. She wanted to see the decorations, the cool games and treats and, especially, the kids in their costumes. They were so cute and energetic! It all was making her smile as she made her way to a table that had a variety of free treat buckets for anyone who wanted them. ”Oh that is seriously cute…” She picked up a particular one and went right into the crowd. She didn’t bother being incognito in any way; she didn’t really mind if people recognized her. She loved her fans and loved posing for pictures with them, like putting them in fake sleeper holds and giving them noogies instead. A couple of people were handing out these cute little ghost ornament thingies and Asari nabbed one that had one of the best faces ever! *Loot*:
”Juno, come on! It’s already started!”Jolana had her brother’s hand in an iron grip as she dragged him to the entrance of the festival, excited as usual to be out doing something fun and bringing him along. ”You could at least pretend like you’re happy to get out of your cave this week and not walk like you have anvils tied to your ankles….this is *supposed* to be fun!” She saw the candy buckets offered for people and grabbed a coupe of them, shoving the one that had dancing zombie monsters into Juno’s hand. She was just really happy to come to something like this with him for the first time since they were kids….and events like this had some of the best junk food, so she was definitely pigging out. ”OMG, look at that cotton candy! It looks like a blacklight felt poster!” She pulled Juno over to where the treat was being offered and snagged one, immediately biting into it. She didn’t care that it would give her black tongue and lips; it tasted so good! *Loot*:
Juno let out a long, growling sigh of a whine as his sister literally dragged him out of his apartment to go attend the Haunted Hallows festival with her. He hadn’t gone since they were still in Academy, mainly because he was busy but also he HATED the rowdy crowds of people after a certain point. ”We have vastly different opinions on what we consider to be ‘fun’, Jojo. I was in the middle of some reading, you know…” He was interrupted as he got a bucket shoved into his palm, just before he was suddenly yanked along as Jolana made a bee-line for the colorful cotton candy. He would have chided her about going against her usually healthy diet but he knew better; holidays were one of the times where she did not give a damn about health or calories. His arms slumped beside him and he heard a weird rattling coming from the bucket, reaching in to find the source. Amidst something that felt soft and fuzzy, he pulled out a rock that someone had painted ‘U suk’ on and had randomly placed in his bucket as a prank. He rolled his eyes at the rather lame trick….and, out of his peripheral, caught a small pair of red eyes set against a fuzzy face with long, tall ears staring up at him from inside of his bucket. ”….What in the…where did you come from?” *Loot*:
Pinkamina entered the festival wearing a dress suited for the season. She loved Haunted Hallows….well, actually, she loved every holiday and any reason to celebrate…but this was going to be a fun one! She loved seeing how many people dressed up and the creative costumes; it was perfect for getting ideas for future performances and costumes! She grabbed a colorful treat bucket and literally skipped her way into the festivities. A funky rattling in her bucket caught her attention and she looked into her bucket, pulling out a colorfully painted rock with a rather cheerful message. ”Why thank you! I WILL have a good day!” *Loot*:
Iolanthe had dressed herself up to look like a mad scientist of some sort, even leaving her hat behind so she could muss up her hair to match the look. She had on fake large round glasses and a little chemistry beaker and vial belt strapped around her waist. She was assured by her caretaker that she looked perfect and happily grabbed her treat bucket so she could collect what she gathered. As they headed into the festivities, the caretaker handed Io a bottle of rather pretty, fizzy drink of some sort. She was going to put it in the bucket for later but…..she stared at it in wonder of how they managed to make the bubbles do those perfect little swirls inside. *Loot*:
Caspian looked around nervously, hoping that no one would come running after them in a frenzy once the stranger recognized who they were. Sometimes fans were just too crazy. He was doing his best to hide himself, having wandered in with an elaborately decorated robe with a hood that concealed his face from the sides. Of course in his favorite turquoise color. It looked like there were no screaming fans to be found, and Caspian let out a sigh of relief, hoping that they could bring home some candy and a plush or two to add to their collection.
They wandered over to the table that contained the buckets to be used for trick-or-treating and looked through the section. They were a bit disappointed that none of the cauldron buckets were blueish, but the cauldrons were still quite cute, and they picked out the one that had smiley pumpkins and vesperkitties on it.
They wandered over to the table, and noticed that there was a vendor giving out little goodies that weren't just candy. Caspian looked over the items and decided to take a little blue ghost and placed it carefully into his bucket, before wandering again to see what there was to do.
Caspian's Stuff:
Remiry wasn't here to really celebrate the festival. Sure, it was fun, and she would at least get some treats from it since she went to the trouble of picking up a bucket, but she was here on a mission. There was a target that she had been told would be carrying something of great expense here, and it was up to her to try to take it without being seen.
A crowded festival was both a good and a bad place for a pickpocketing job. If she could get the item without being noticed, then nobody would know who had stolen it and she could easily disappear into the crowd.
But if she was caught... well there would be trouble for the geist and most likely a mob demanding justice. Hopefully she would just blend into the crowd though and no one would be suspicious of her. But... the outfit she was wearing, if anyone could recognize it, might make her look a bit suspicious, but she thought it would be hilarious if she could pull off the job looking like a thief with no one realizing that she actually was one.

Albert carefully looked around to make sure that his loving wife wasn't around for the moment, before taking a candy bucket and looking around to see where he could get some candy. If there was one thing he shouldn't be having, it was candy. But he was old darn it! And he just wanted to act like a young naiad once in a while! And the Haunted Hallow festival was just the place to do it! Whether his wife joined him later or not, it would not matter, for he would have candy!
However, it seemed that there was a plush vendor nearby, and Albert wondered for a moment if his wife would want one. He at least wanted one, so either way, he was going to get a plush. He walked over, and saw that it was a ping pong ball cup game. He sighed. If there was anything he didn't miss about his wild college days...
But this was an opportunity to see if his beercup pong skills were still as good as they were so many years ago, and he put down the money and stepped up, making sure to aim carefully and to check the surface. He would have to try a few times, but on the 3rd, he got it! He decided to pick one of the nicer plushes and put it in his bucket. If his wife didn't like this one, he could always try to get more!
Albert's Items:
It was the first time since being made that Brion was able to attend one of these "festivals" and with it came the chance to win what looked like food he couldn't consume. He sometimes wished that he could at least try to taste the food, but others usually frowned upon chewing on food and then spitting it out, just to taste it. Unless it was wine for some reason.
He didn't get it.
Currently he was wearing what would be considered appropriate fall clothing, having not had an idea for a costume this year, but he hoped that he would be able to come up with an idea for next year's. But he did want to enjoy the festival like the others, and so he picked out a bucket and started to walk around the festival, wondering what there was to do.
He passed by a table that seemed to have little trinkets on it, something that he could get at least, and was told that he was allowed to pick one of them out. He decided on some sort of blue bottle with an unknown liquid in it. After carefully making sure that the cork had completely sealed the liquid, Brion carefully put it in his bucket and looked to see if there was a coffee vendor.
Brion's Items:
For his part, Gale was mostly just trying to show himself off to most of the crowd, though he paid no attention if they actually looked at him. He was just happy to be able to show off his princely outfit that he had designed and it had taken for-ev-er to make! At least it would have if he had done it by hand, but when one could just use magic...
He wasn't at the festival for any other particular reason, but he had decided to grab a trick-or-treat bucket anyway, and had headed straight for the collectables. Even if they weren't the nicest looking plushes, he could always tweak them a bit and perhaps add little costumes. Or use them in his magical experiments. Either one. He was at least able to get one little plush, but whether it would be a lucky one to survive past the next month or be a non-plush as soon as the festival was over, Gale was not sure of yet. Gale's Items:
Loren had come intending to meet up with their gaming group, but it seemed that they had had to cancel on her at the last minute, and so Loren was all alone at the festival. It was fine though. They could always just grab some candy and a few plushies and then head home. But it would probably be the only celebration for Haunted Hallows that Loren had... they would have to stay here longer than usual. At least it gave their wrists a break from gaming.
If there was one thing about being a gamer, it was that if you played too much, no matter how ergonomic your setup was, your arms, wrists, fingers, and others were bound to start protesting at some point, so it was a good idea to take breaks. And besides, Loren needed to walk more.
Loren was dressed up in a simple owl-costume, but it was at least recognizable as an owl. So they went up and grabbed a bucket, and then went to the game vendor to see how to get a plush. It was simple, or at least didn't involve their wrist, which was good, it was just answering some Haunted Hallow trivia. When Loren said all of the correct answers, they were allowed to pick out a plush and they placed it in their bucket.

Jay growled to themselves as they looked around the crowd, trying to find any of their siblings, and stomped when they didn't see any of them since they last time they looked. Which was about 15 seconds ago. "Where are they?" They said to themselves, but it was almost an angry yell. Jay couldn't help it though. They had been planning on getting CANDY AND JUNK. And the siblings had said they were going to meet at the festival. And yet here Jay was, alone and waiting for them.
It just wasn't acceptable!
They were currently wearing a soldier outfit, sans boots hooves were awesome enough, and they were growing tired of waiting. "All right well if they aren't going to be here on time I'll start without them!" They finally yelled to no one in particular, getting a few stares in the process. Jay had already picked out a bucket, and so off they went to see what they could do.
What first caught their eye was a vendor giving out plushies for hitting the target. Jay practically raced over and slammed money onto the counter, frightening the vendor a little, but they did give Jay the baseball to hit the target with. And with all of their might, Jay swung the ball!... and not only hit the target, but broke it too. The vendor looked to shocked to say anything, and Jay proudly pointed to one of the plushes and the vendor meekly gave it to them.
She 'hmphed' in triumph, adding the plush to the strap around their chest and securing it, before wandering away to see what other sorts of things they could do.
Sitri hung on to her dad's hand as they walked around the festival, sure she could have joined in with some of her other classmates as they went trick or treating at other houses but she liked being with her dad. He was often doing things for uncle Vanna and busy or at his job. While Sitri could visit if she missed him, she really wasn't supposed to bother him at the club. However now she had a whole festival though to spend time with him. Picking up a rather cool htrick or treat bucket to carry her prizes in she won.
"Hey dad can we go over there?" She asked. When he nodded she ran up to the game and tossed a few bean bags into different sections of the board. Having gotten a high enough score she snagged a cool looking nezubat plushie. "This one looks like seir" she laughed.
Festivals weren't his thing but Sitri had really wanted to go and she had wanted to go with her family. It was his day off from both jobs today and well Apollyon needed to spend more time with them. So here he was trying his luck at a bean bag toss. Sitri actually did pretty good but she was always pretty good at throwing things.
" it does look a lot like seir. You should show them when we get home." Apollyon added watching Sitri beam and nod her head. Parenthood was still a bit of a challenge but he had been the one that had insisted on the bet and had gone through with the imbuing. He would be a decent dad he hoped. Of course then it was his turn, he could have easily won a ton of points but he was just playing for Sitri mostly so it wasn't the best score, still the paper doll was kind of cute too.
Vanhi looked around and frowned, it seemed as if she had some how lost her family in the chaos of the festival, which was quite a feet. Her daddy was hella tall and rather distinctive. However wasn't the rule if you lost some one to pick a spot and wait. There seemed to be a bench nearby and Vanhi figured that was as good a spot as any. Running over to the booth with the free oaks she got the one she wanted for later and ran back to sit there on the bench.
Of course moments later some couple was passing by and commented on her cute outfit (her mom had dressed her up as a haunted forest witch) and dropped a plushie in her pail. Ah... that was new.
Blitz was cool. Calm. Not at all excited for all the goodies that hallows brought with it. The spring in his step wasn't because he was excited. No, that was just being hurried, having somewhere to be. His eyes most certainly did not light up at all the goodies.
Okay, maybe that was a lie. But others didn't have to know that! Especially, Etienne. His eyes went towards the naiad in question, giving them a cocky smirk. Well...as confident as he could make it with butterflies still flying in his stomach.
Nervously, he picked up a potion from a nearby booth and chugged the whole bottle in one go. "It's like I'm drinking your essence." Eti's blood. He smirked, looking at the blue bottle. Right. Not creepy at all. INVENTORY
Their dad was here somewhere. So were his siblings. But, like usual, Akane had wandered off on his own when he spotted something that he liked. It was surprisingly easy, given his mother's lack of attention towards them and his dad's odd way of seeing to her needs. She really was...a goddess.
His eyes moved across the set of goodies out for display in one of the booths before pointing towards it. What a powerful little ghostie. "I want to be a vampire." he murmured, taking the little piece of cloth in his hands. Maybe someday. INVENTORY
(Format lovingly stolen -with permission- from Pinch) The hustling bustling crowds were a tad intimidating, however the slender figure managed to politely make his way through the many nightmares & daydreams that had come out. At least this happened outside where the air circulated effortlessly. While all the laughter appealed to Maeko he had originally come to surprise Rafe..after their precious stones had arrived he felt a small strain. Their relationship was so new..so fragile..he imagined it as a newborn bird. It had taken a lot to find a proper sitter and even then it had taken said sitter’s mild coaxing to get the anxious new parent out of the house. Now if only he could find his lover; surely he’d not left already? Trying to think positively his gaze flickered to the many small trinkets and treats..an adorable pink ghost bringing a bright smile to the once worried face of Maeko. “Oh how cute!! I have to find Rafe and show him. Maybe one of the children would enjoy this as a toy?” After tucking the toy away he saw a moving head of hair he knew quite well. ”Rafe!!”
