Zelus was excited. It wasn’t often that they left their art shop and went sight seeing. And for it to be during this event, especially, oh boy oh boy! They smiled shyly at some of the nightmares in the crowd. Maybe this time they’d make some friends. Zelus grabbed a bucket that seemed to call to them and headed in. Their first stop nabbed them...a tooth brush? Umm. Well, whatever. At least they can keep their teeth super clean.
Caru slowly approached the festival. It was so loud and colorful. She just wanted to take a moment to savor it all. This was going to be absolutely awesome! She grabbed a blue basket from the pile and headed in. The first thing she received was a little cloth ghost that she could hang in her apartment.
Ming Li cackled mischievously as he grabbed a basket and ran into the crowd. He wondered if he’d be able to pull some pranks while he was in here. Oh, it was going to be a very fun festival for him. First things first though, gathering stuff for himself. His first item was a mysterious bottle of blue liquid.
Nothing could have accurately prepared the small figure for what lay before their soft blue eyes..the aroma of sweets and delicious food had them in a daze. Behind flailed the ever exuberant shade tail Maple, drips of drool already leaking from the mischevious gluttonous tail. Having trailed after their parental figures Oakley already wandered off..eagerly bouncing with a soft fluffy swirl of cotton candy grasped in one hand. The treat was already partially eaten but, they still wanted more treats! More yummy food..sure it wasn’t a breakfast food but, they could make do with plain sweets. Hurrying to catch up with their families figures the young one barely had time to hold out their treat bucket to passerbys; the vanishing sweet treat soon replaced with a soft plushie that sparkled in the light. ” Wait up!” Words mumbled behind the final chomp of their first sugary treat whilst Maple whined at the older shade tails to get their attention.
misa - kaoru Halloween. It had finally arrived. Misa had asked Jocelyn about what the deal was about a couple of days ago. Her caretaker's explaining method was through show and tell - and Halloween was explained for her in pictures from when she was a freshie. Walking just three small steps further ahead of the orange imp, Misa held onto her plushie and her cute pumpkins and black cats basket in her other hand. She was dressed up as her favourite animal, a red fox, and went trick or treating at strangers' doors. It wasn't long before she received a funky looking toothbrush from a grumpy old man. He reminded her to keep her teeth clean. The next door over, a happy freshie at the door was very happy to see her and gave her a plushie instead of sweets.

"Maeko." A fond grin enveloped Rafe's lips as he turned on his heel to look at the other man. His lover. Never before did he expect to have an actual relationship with another. Flings, one night stands, he was used to. Having stones with another person and still being in their life. That was weird. He hadn't ever had a relationship last this long.
Strangely enough, he didn't mind it. Maeko wasn't only attractive, but he was also had a personality that meshed well with him. Business wouldn't be the same without him.
"Enjoying yourself?" he picked up a strange looking green bottle, offering it up to Maeko. Should be safe enough to drink. Regardless, if it wasn't, that would illicit a trip away from the festival. He wouldn't mind. "Thirsty?" INVENTORY
misa - kaoru Jocelyn giggled as she saw Misa get a plushie from a cute freshie at the door. She mouthed 'thank you' to the freshie's parent as she and Misa started to leave. As for herself, she managed to receive a pretty blue bottle of liquid to put inside her bucket.

It'd kinda been a while since she'd really... did much beyond focusing on her music. And travel. And goof off. And... uh. Did anything except kinda be there for her brother and sister and actually focus on classes--right. Here for the festival. Huffing to herself, she patted her cheeks with her paws till color bloomed. Grinning, she snatched up one of the freely offered candy baskets and... nearly stumbled over a uh... rock? A painted rock, she realized, laughing as she saw the Have a Good Day!"Alright, that's super cute. Oh, and so're you," she added with new glee, spotting a bloody snaggle-tooth plushy on the counter of a booth. Shortly it had a new home sitting atop her pretty painted stone in her bucket. She'd have to show Conan, aw!

"...really?" Her wings ruffled as Corvus stared down at the rock she'd kicked on accident as she'd entered the fairgrounds. Everything looked really neat, and she was actually a good bit excited to get out and... y'know, do some stuff. Have fun, play games. Maybe even socialize. Maybe. Maybe. But she scowled as she picked up the rock with it's lame U Suk and clunked it into her toothy looking candy basket. Ok, really not the best start to things, now was it? Her grumbling perhaps was a bit early, as it was mere moments later that she found herself face to face with a vendor giving out plushies. They were cute, lil' skeletons and all. The vendor, with a painted grin just slightly larger than their own, ushered her to pick out her favorite, which after a slight hesitation, she did, indicating a purple galaxy looking one. The vendor startled her by then plucking up the doll, and plunking it into her basket. Part of the festival, they explained to her furrowed brows and blank stare. Fun and prizes all around... tricks and treats. "Oh... wow... huh," she mumbled, slowly excusing herself as she peered down at her new little companion of sorts. Maybe not a bad start after all.

Festivals were meant to be fun and relaxing, right? Jude plucked up a fun looking candy basket and marveled at the games and lights and booths and... crowds. She ducked her head and puffed up a bit despite her best attempts to keep the prickly response down. It was her favorite time of year though. Wouldn't really be all that fab to just... miss all the fun stuff going on just because she felt like a cactus among daises when it came to large groups. A confirmation of this came, of sorts, as she began to wander around the grounds, taking in the sights and sounds and smells. Trying to figure out what she might want to do, check for familiar faces, that sorta stuff. She paused at a booth, waiting till the way to the counter was cleared a bit before squeaking forward. Odd bottles were on display, and she grabbed one with a swirling, bubbling pink liquid. Huh. What was it? Fascinated, she stuck it in her basket and continued to look for other odd little bits. Or maybe a display explaining what it was.
The lights, the sounds, the decorations... it was a wonderful mix, so far as Kaden was concerned. They grinned as they grabbed a webby-patterned basket, charmed by the classic 'Hallows' feel. It was almost impossible to decide where to go first! Too many booths to pick from, too many people--some on neat costumes--to watch. Kaden wandered aimlessly, hands curled around the handle of the bucket, the plastic thing thunking against their knees. Black and white eyes focused on a booth with an arrangement of painted rocks and selected a cheery little Have a good Day! It'd be great for their desk, no? Cute random decor. A bit further down, another booth had a collection of plushies, and Kaden debated over them for a while before selecting a ghostly looking fellow.

When did he become the one responsible for encouraging another to socialize? There was an immense level of irony as Orion ushered the small Grimm freshling along in front of him into the festival. An act that required him to bend over a good bit to direct her via her shoulders. "Alright, first some... buckets." He stared slightly at the admittingly impressive collection of styles and designs for festival participants to pick from. "Ah... well. Go a head. One for you, and one for me, alright?" It wasn't like he was especially nitpicky on what he got. Indeed, what he got was fine enough--it was actually kinda neat--and he nodded his thanks as he took the bucket from Reina. Onwards they went, passing booths and displays slowly, peering at what was offered. At one point he tried his luck at a game and... wound up with a toothbrush as his prize. Well. Ok? At least Reina seemed to be fairing better, and he smiled faintly as he saw her tension begin to ease while she played.

She couldn't help it. Crowds were just... too noisy. People? People were fun. Lots of people? Less so. Too much going on. Too much to see, to watch. Too much new. Her claws dug in against the tall man's jeans, trying to squirm back from his hands at her shoulders to take up her preferred spot behind his legs. Once at the display for the candy buckets, though, she perked up slightly, ears swiveling a bit. "U-uh..." Pick for him, too? She blinked owlishly up at him from beneath her bright bangs before staring at the different patterns. Finally, she grabbed a neat green and skully one for Orion, and a Black Widow one for herself. "Now what?" The answer was a simple wander around, her paw still holding tight to his pant leg, ears perking and nose twitching. They stopped to play a game--knocking over bottles with balls--and she snickered when Orion did... less than stellar. A toothbrush? Ha! She gave it a shot herself, her tail beginning to wag a little as she threw the three balls for her chance. Not much better, but some! A painted rock--"I am pawsome!" was declared as she waved her clawed paws towards Orion--and a skull-face plush were happily placed into her bucket. Ok, maybe this would be fun!
Gemini had arrived late. Not super late but later than his husband and children. Flustered and smoothing out his costume, he caught his reflection in a fun mirror, frowning. He had put on ears, a tight catsuit, heels, and a tail. He had even charmed the tail and ears to sway and given himself an illusion of whiskers. And finally, he had a friend do his makeup to give him a feline look. Overall, he came out as a very... pale blue cat. His cheeks reddened, looking away. Prosper was bound to laugh at him. Tears welled up in his eyes as he fiddled with a rock that he hadn't realized he picked up. His bucket swung loosely on his arm, not yet filled. Maybe... maybe he should go home and change?

Vega had only been gone for a little bit. He had to use the restroom and check on his makeup, after all. And his outfit. Face and shoulders painted with faint mermaid scales and mystical makeup that had a small glimmer spell on it, contacts that gave his eyes a more deepsea appearance, and costume seeming like a long, frilly dress, the geist was pretty happy with his mermaid costume.
Especially considering his lover's own costume.
Clutching his plushie that he had been given from a stand and hearing the toothbrush hit the inside of the pumpkin bucket, he skipped over to the chimera man that was dressed like a pirate. "Look what I have!" he said cheerfully, holding up the dark galaxy patterned stuffed animal.

Nym was miserable and humiliated. He had been dressed up as a clown. And not even an intimidating one. No, he was dressed up in bright, oversized pants tied at the ankle and waist. Ridiculously blue, oversized shoes. A frilly top. And a polka dot hat with a pink wig. Plucking off the nose, he shoved it into someone's hand as he received a ghost trinket in return. Not even looking at it, he tossed it into his bucket and stomped (as much as he could in his shoes) over to the familiar slaugh, shoulders up to his red ears in embarrassment, chin tucked. "This is awful, I hate this place," he seethed.
"That a*****e better not come within 30 feet of me this entire time," he continued to grouch, eyes shifting around for anyone staring at him.

Lucky Baby was super excited for the event. He had been going every year for soooo many years. Except, this year, he would be attending it with someone else. The sculpting teacher blushed, ducking his head under the large brim witch hat. He couldn't wait to see what Buster was dressed up like. A deity? Oh, he hoped so. Something to show off those magnificent muscles? Something that would make him want to sculpt a replica immediately? Preferably something that didn't cover him up completely.
What he saw, however... had him stuttering to a stop. There was... a giant eggs and sausage. With a familiar shade tail named Pancake attached to it. Next to the large breakfast was a vampire who, after catching his eye, smirked and waved a hand.
Disappointed and clenching his teeth, Baby grabbed a U Suk rock from the table, ready to hurl it at Knox. He wasn't very violent usually....

Knox caught sight of Baby and his smirk grew. His large lover was oblivious to the look of disappointment, which was all very well for the man currently dressed like a vampire. Of course, Knox had orchestrated that Buster should get ready with him and that they could arrive at the festival together. And Baby had actually trusted him to flaunt off the muscular body Buster had. The photographer wanted to scoff. Why show goods to others who would just want to have it? And so, the ridiculous eggs and bacon costume had been a fantastic idea. Not a single bit of Buster was appealing. Just how Knox liked it.
Plucking a toothbrush from the display stand, he smiled widely at Baby as the teacher approached. "Buster's costume ideas are fantastic, right?!" he said with a hoot of laughter. His laughter startled an old man, who knocked over several plushies from the table. Knox picked up one, examining it, before shrugging and casting a shrink charm on it, placing it into his bucket.

The tight pirate outfit was itchy and uncomfortable. Still, it was a costume and he didn't think he looked half bad in it. The event... was a break, to say the least. Not that it would have been Eti's first choice. No, lounging on the beach or soaking it up a bar's ambiance sounded way more appealing. But, Blitz wanted to do couple-y things and this certainly seemed to fit the bill. Being handed a handful of candy that seemed to have been fetched from last year's garbage, he idly threw it in his bucket and looked at Blitz. Oh, great. Lame jokes. He rolled his eyes.
"That's creepy," he pointed out with a quirk of a smile. "Didn't even bother letting your boyfriend have a sip?"

Ambrosia had found a nice little spot to relax. Flopped down into a pile of hay, he sucked on the lollipop that he had pilfered from a stand while none of the adults were looking. He didn't really like walking. Or working. And moving around to get candy or tricks seemed like work to him. So instead, he enjoyed watching others from his prickly spot in the festival, sporting only rabbit ears that his dad had forced on him.

Delja loved loved LOVED the hallowed festival! Really, he loved all festivals. With a huge, large pillowcase now holding his plastic pumpkin, he went to the first stand. "Trick or treat!" he sing-sang, pushing up the large goggles from his eyes. He decided to dress up like a scientist, since Omri loved science. But... he hadn't yet found his betrothed. Which was fine. He could gather as much treats as possible, instead! Or... tricks. Was it really considered a trick? He grinned over the toothbrush he was given. Now he wouldn't need to get a new one!

This festival was exciting. Sure, it didn't hold a light to an anime convention but it still had him on the tip of his toes, eyes bright with excitement. He had chosen his favorite hero from the new manga series he'd been obsessing over to dress up as. "Where should we head first?" he breathed excitedly to his companion, his lover, his best friend. He couldn't seem to focus on any one thing, not a single thing in the world. Except... when he looked at Plague, at Peach, his heart stuttered and the world faded.
Faded enough that he didn't even notice the flitterrat inspecting his bucket, probably looking for food.
SnowLily was excited this year for the Hallow's festival. She remembered last years vaguely and was hoping to play alot of spooky games and eat sweet treats. Walking into the festival she stopped by the gate to get her treat bucket and chose Candy Bucket and ran inside. The first thing she saw was a small dart game, easy enough. She asked to play, got her dart and hit near the bullseye! She was given a Prize that she picked out and put in her bucket. Waving thanks she started to move along when suddenly a plushie caught her eye and she realized she could have One she hugged it before putting in her bucket then moved along.
Dayanara sighed at the gate, her foster Mom Kayndie was giving her rules as usual. Not like she would be alone in the grounds anyway, her foster brother would be with her as would their mom. Looking around she saw the buckets, grabbed Dayeon's hand and pulled him with her. Picking up Her choice she waited for Dayeon to make his so they could go in. While she waited she saw a Plushie on the ground and picked it up. (passing on trick)
Dayeon was rolling his eyes as his Mom lectured both him and his sister, every event she did this the words did not change. His hand was grabbed suddenly and he was dragged off to get a bucket for their treats and prizes. His eyes widened at all the choices, his sister made her choice quick then waited for him. He saw several he liked but one stood out to him. He reached to pick up his bucket then turned to his sister. "Im done sis, let's go in before Mom has a fit" laughing he took her hand and walked in.
He wandered over to a table just inside the gate, Daya let go of his hand guess she didnt want to go over. He played a small game that was easy, pick up a eyeball. Whatever #was under you won a prize. His # was 11. He was told to pick from that shelf. He asked for a Blue Lollipop then went on his way back to his sister but not before saying Thank you to the attendant.
Pippi was fascinated as soon as she got to the gate to go inside. She could see the tops of all the tents, smoke from the food cooking and heard all the different noises. She was bouncing on her feet and her Mom told her it would be just a few more minutes, she had to pick out her prize bucket. Taking her over to where they were she realized she was inside the gate already. Looking around she almost crashed into someone waiting their turn to get a bucket. Stopping and waiting was a must. It was her turn suddenly and she chose a pretty bucket.
Off they went into the grounds, her first sight was a large game that required the player to sink either a eyeball, zombie hand or skeleton foot into the middle of the water. She went up to try and hit the large black square only to have water hit her in the face! No prize!
Crying she ran to her mom who had gotten her a Plush while she played the game.
Tahir's eyes were sparkling with wonder and awe at the grand display that had been elaborately presented. While it could be considered sensory overload, for the petite hybrid all he could do was slither around to fawn over every booth, decoration, and artistic design that caught his eye. Little to say, he was zigzagging this way and that to meet his darting attention span. Oh but a kindly adult at one of the stands seemed to draw his gaze with a chuckle and ushering hand. Slinking over curiously, Tahir was thrilled to discover a large swirl of cotton candy procured for him from the windy bowl that was the centerpiece of their stand.
Softly cooing with glee, gingerly the treat was accepted and inspected with big, shimmering ruby eyes. Seconds later, his mouth opened to reveal sharp canines that chomped merrily on the fluffy sweet, tail tip curling and flicking so very happily, a delicate purr rumbling in his chest.
Goodies:
Honeycrisp was pleasantly meandering around the lively festival, eyes swaying this way and that as he admired the hardwork and effort put into its creation. The scents, the sounds, the sights... so dazzling and entrancing. Oooh but that distinct perfume of apples piqued the small tykes attention, trotting along at a slightly picked up pace to seek out the source. Oddly enough, it lead to a vendor that had large circular suckers that were tinted various arrays of colours. Peering up, sniffing ever so subtly, he realized... it WAS these suckers that produced the oh so familiar aroma!
And lucky for him, he was gifted one of the spiral treats, giving a polite smile and thank you before licking at it blissfully.
