Daphnes was certainly on to something. He sniffed out another doll, not far from the previous one. Though it did lead them to a dead end, it wasn't that far from the path they had taken. Collecting the third Cacturne doll, Temperance placed it with it's twins. "I wonder just what prizes they offer for these little dolls?" She inquired standing back up. Din floated over, resting her nubs on Temperance's shoulder. 'I hope it's worthwhile, did you see the prizes for the other games, the ones that didn't give out tickets? Talk about cheap.' Temperance's brow furrowed. "Din that isn't nice to say. Whether it is cheap or not, this is perhaps the best place to form memories with loved ones, which is priceless in my eyes." Din gave Temperance a rather dead-eye glaze, but shrugged it off. 'Yea, guess your right. Though, I wouldn't know I have no family.' Again Temperance's brow furrowed. "That isn't true at all, Din. We may not be related, but all of us are your family now." The sprite arched a brow, pondering this suggestion for a moment. "Now, enough with this talk. We should be getting on, we've got fun to be had. Together." Din's gaze shifted away from Temperance before the sprite flew on ahead. 'I guess your right, again. Let's get outta this maze...' Turning around, the sprite continued to fly backwards. 'Sister.' Temperance smiled, nodding her head. She was happy that her words appeared to have met Din, and not just floated in one ear and out the other.

Azalea was vaguely interested in the idea of pokemon actually motivated to go play games and win prizes. She supposed they could play most of the games and there was certainly incentive to win prizes that were essentially for pokemon anyways. "Or maybe he just likes you. Certainly seems intent on staying under your clothes." At least he wasn't always in Alex's pants—though Azalea had to admit more glowing crotch shenanigans would be absolutely hilarious if it wasn't just the two of them. Maybe they could find another nurse Joy to bamboozle and Azalea would actually catch it all on camera this time. "True, but what if it was?" Azalea turned sharply with her emphasis and giving Alex a terrifying grin, her red eyes glinting in the dim lighting of the haunted house. The idea of some haunted version of a tanabata appealed to her if they actually did it decently, unlike this haunted house. She'd been told this level was supposed to be scarier but so far literally nothing had been happening and she was quickly growing bored. Maybe the staff was trying to lull them into a false sense of security? A clever tactic perhaps—to scare the pants off of someone like Alex anyway. Azalea wouldn't be taken in quite so easily.

Letting her expression fall back to the neutral RBF, Azalea stopped trying to scare Alex in compensation for the lack of "haunted" activity around them. Not that it would work anyways given that Alex couldn't see under the sheet, which Azalea only remembered was covering Alex after the fact. Oh well. She got it out of her system and instead asked about the names of his pokemon so she could figure out which name belonged to which pokemon. Though Alex wasn't able to name a single species Azalea was very much satisfied with the answers and snorted softly. She intentionally gave halfhearted answers like that when she was trying to be a pain but Alex actually didn't know and it was pretty adorable how helpless he was. At least he was still able to answer her question indirectly even with his vague references. "I see. That makes sense." She nodded. "I have a green bulb one too." Azalea smirked a little at herself before going on. "Technically I guess she's a green flower one now cause she evolved." Azalea paused for a moment as she saw a subtle movement in the corner of her eye. Turning to look and squint closer, she noted that there was indeed moving black sand on the floor next to them with stark white bones poking out. The sight might have scared people but Azalea noted that the bones were, in fact, fake given the bright coloration. "Hey Alex, let's go this way, I think I see candy." She suggested, steering him away from the sandygast. It wasn't like she was concerned or anything but if Alex passed out she'd have her hands full and they wouldn't be able to progress until he recovered. There was no way in hell she was carrying his tall a** around after all.

Azalea didn't complain or get angry at Alex even though she could feel him standing about as close as possible while he held her arm. It was mildly annoying but she didn't really care too much she supposed, or at least not enough to put forth the effort to tell him to stop and deal with the inevitable consequences. "Uh yeah I guess. I'm a weird exception just because I generally don't give a s**t and I'll fight back if something is trying to hurt me, but like the strong usually aren't scared of stuff cause they can fight off anything that would hurt them. Y'know? Punch it in the face hard enough and it'll leave you alone. It's the natural order of things." She nodded. Of course, that begged the question of why Alex was scared if pain wasn't a factor. The tricky part was that Azalea knew if she asked him directly what he was scared of the boy would lie out of his a** about not being scared of anything. The problem was that even though it was an obvious lie it didn't get Azalea the information that she wanted. "What would you say scares people more if not getting hurt?" Azalea asked instead with a tactful indirect approach as they passed through a hall of mirrors. Oddly, most of them were empty, though every once in a while their "reflections" would jump soundlessly out at them from within a mirror, horribly warped and grotesque but thankfully something Alex probably wouldn't notice thanks to the lack of sound indicating that things were happening. Good. Azalea sighed internally with mild relief.

Reese’s attempt to sneak out had been foiled when the nurse who’d been tending to him caught him and it took a lot of convincing that he was fit enough to leave. And even then, that wasn’t enough to convince her to let him leave; the potential threat that she’d be calling his guardian didn’t make him any happier. So, he had to wait while she fetched some more medication (as he faked his symptoms doubling up) before sending Ginger to further distract. Once he was certain he was clear, he ducked his way out with a little trouble. He still felt off kilter, but he had no desire to stick around in that place any longer.

Reese was done with this place. He’d lost sight of Trey, the little s**t and gotten poisoned because of some stupid potato birds. A fun time all around, but not really. At this point he needed to just find his pokemon and leave. He waited a bit off at one of the stands until Ginger reappeared, giving the Gengar a bit of a look as she greeted him with a giggle. Clearly, she’d had more fun with messing with the nurse than intended.
"So," Reese asked, not bothering to address the giggling, "where are Jaxs and Q? We’re leaving." Ginger gave him a quizzical look which was promptly met with a scowl. "We’ve got better things to do. Find’em so we can leave." The Gengar stared and then nodded, deciding not to test her trainer’s current sour mood. Immediately she started leading the way towards the game area where she’d unleashed the pair. No sooner did the stumble upon the two right as they were smashing down on a massive pumpkin and finally, after many previous failed tries, Quixote had successfully squashed the gourd under his mighty grasp and earned a heaping amount of tickets. Jaxston looked shocked; his attempt to dissuade the Axew had failed when the other wanted one more go at defeating the pumpkin overlords.
The Axew cheered in triumph, waddling over to the Snivy caked in pumpkin guts, but immediately turned his attention away and cheered as Reese and Ginger appeared. Reese gave the dinosaur an impressed look as he knelt to confront him. "Nice job Q." he commented, though made a face as the pokemon approached and tried to climb up, immediately thrusting a hand out and shoving him back lightly with a bit of a disgusted look. "Nuh uh buddy. You are ********’ caked in pumpkin guts. Ew," He didn’t need that on top of the dry mud that was still caking his clothing. No thank you. Quixote didn’t seem phased at the denial of affection, instead happily flailing his arms through the air and giving a cry of delight.
Reese took a glance at Jaxston, who was just storing away the last of the tickets earned into a satchel. "Jaxs," he turned his hand palm up, "give it here." The Snivy looked startled, looking between the hand and bag before walking over and handing it over. The punk peeked inside and cocked an eyebrow in surprise.
"Huh… not bad. You two made all this in what… a few hours? Nice," he had half a mind to ask if they nicked any of these from other fair goers but he knew that Jaxston was a bit green behind the ears for that and Quixote… well that just wasn’t his thing. Rising back to his feet, with pouch in hand, Reese jerked his head at the pair to follow as he made his way towards a nearby stand. "C’mon. We’re leavin’, so let’s see what we can get," Jaxston blinked and glanced at an excited Quixote who followed along without pause.

Continuing along, the group made some distance through the maze, and by the sounds of it they were closing in on the exit. The team was adamant about finding some more plushies even if they had no idea what they could get from obtaining them. Thoughts of what they would all do after getting done with the maze swirled around Temperance's mind, as there was a great many things to do while she was here. In the distance she could smell something like a pastry being baked, followed by the strong scent of cooked Pumpkin mixed with the scent of Apple pie. It was mouth watering to say the least. It'd been forever since she'd last had some tarts, so perhaps after getting out of the maze, she'd follow her nose?

Turning a corner, the team found themselves standing at the maze's exit. A large table rested beside the opening in the stalks, a variety of prizes spread across the table. "Congratulations on making it to the end." The attendant smiled, waving her hand to beckon Temperance and her team over. "If you'd like to turn in your Cacturne's now, the price list is right over here, so just let me know when you're ready." The attendant smiled, quickly going to congratulate another person who came out of the maze as well. "Hmm...? What do you think everyone? We have 3 dolls, so anything from here and back we can snag." Din floated over the table, while Daphnes and Azalev merely stared up at Temperance. "Oh, I guess the table is pretty high." She grinned. Picking something up from the 'special' section of the prize table, she showed it off to her companions down below. "This is a Verse Seeker, could be useful." Temperance noted, but placed the device back down. Her eyes then continued to scan that same section until she came upon 18 small holders, all displaying incense sticks. Her eyes froze on these sticks, taking in the soft scent they released. Were these the same as the one she lit before the Gala? If so... Perhaps. 'Let's get one!' Breaking Temperance's train of thought, the sprite floated forward, snatching a yellow one. "Din!" She wasn't keen on the idea of getting another one of those things, but... well, if it worked like the last one, perhaps it would end up being useful? They could always use and endless wave of foes to train against. "Fine, let's get it." She quickly added, sighing lightly. "Oh, Miss, I'd like to exchange these two plush's for this rare candy bundle." Temperance added, having already had the woman's attention thanks to Din. "Certainly. If you take on the maze again, or even a different maze, you could get lucky and find more cacturne to exchange." The attendant added.
Giving the candies to Din, Temperance took the incense stick and placed it in her bag. Her mind wasn't so much on food anymore as it was on training. The very reason for her journey. Though, she was well aware that she was still meant to have fun, so perhaps taking a crack at the games would suffice until something better came to mind.

Alex patted himself with his free hand, but actually wasn't sure where Cup Noodle was right now. Either his ankle or the small of his back. "You think? But then Chica and everybody else would've stayed too." After all, all of his pokemon loved him. "I think Noodle's just shy."
"What, Tanabata supposed to be scary? Um. I kinda liked it the way it was," he said, trying not to make it obvious he would much prefer this festival to be more like that one. Or maybe just more well-lit.

Alex, who had not reacted to Az when she tried to look spooky at him because he couldn't see jack-s**t right now, also didn't react to the completely silent and deformed shadow that skittered along the wall at the end of the hall. He noticeably straightened when Az mentioned having a 'bulb one' too though, which actually coincided with the intended jump-scare, making it look like he was responding despite not being able to see it.
"Wow, so Patches is going to get a flower?" That would be cool. He wondered how it would happen. Would the little guy find a nice one then stick it to his back with some glue?
He suddenly did a little shuffle-hop and yelped a bit, as Cup Noodle slithered down his leg to his ankle, flashing a bright blue. "Haha, you want a flower too Noodle?" he asked once he got over the surprise. He was really tense because of where they were right now. He was happy to shuffle after Az, apparently towards some candy. Candy was good, candy was nice and wouldn't try to scare him.

Alex soaked up every word of what Az was saying about fear and strength. He couldn't help thinking to himself, But you can't punch a ghost to make it leave you alone. It did make him think, harder than he had in a while. What he said, about not really being afraid of getting hurt, he felt like he was telling the truth there. But Az was asking him what was scary if getting hurt wasn't involved, and uh... well, he had no idea. Stuff that was scary was just scary, he'd never really thought of why.
So, what scared people more than getting hurt? "Not having enough money for chicken nuggets?" he offered, deflecting with the joke. But he did add, voice unusually flat, "I don't know. I thought some things were just scary."

Dallas had lead them to Thrills and Chills, which was touted as the area with the most activities and rides. Before they had made it, he had taken the time to greet Rotom and Jingū. He was especially impressed by how well the little pokemon had grown; "You're still a cutey, he had said, "but looks like you're not a little cutey anymore!" And as they got closer, Naomi inquired about the friend Dallas had made. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot about her," he said. He'd have to make sure to check up on her at some point and (maybe) apologize for taking off like he did. Then, he had to think of how he was going to explain who Temperance was without blowing her cover. "Her name's Tamara Stonewall," Dallas started. "She's from that far off country Amarantha or something like that. Total tourist, kinda like you, come to think of it. Thing is, she's super serious most of the time, not like you." He thought about what else he could say before continuing. "Anyway, she met Austin at this Winter Gala thing or whatever, and get this: she thought I was him when she saw me in a pokemon center! Psh, right? Like I look anything like that pansy! But yeah, since that little mix-up, we just sorta started travelling together. She's pretty okay. A little too serious, but she's got her priorities straight, ya know?" By the time he finished talking, they had ended up in front of all sorts of different activities. "So! Looks like we got some choices, Cap'n. What shivers your timbers the most, Nao-kun?"
Meanwhile, Susan had gotten the rest of the team (except for G-Money, who wouldn't come out of his ball unless Dallas told him to), and they were bickering on what to get for food. First of all, I'm quite upset that Dallas returned me! I was only trying to help! Meloetta pouted and crossed her arms. Also, I think we should get something healthy, like salad. Buns agreed with Meloetta on the salad, but Beltigre was not down for it. "I'm a cat, not a rabbit! I need me some meat! And quick, or I might just start getting some outta you!" Meloetta hid behind Buns, who put up her dukes (ears) to fight if need be. "RIPTIDE WANT METAL! RIPTIDE HUNGRY!" The pokemon started to grumble loudly before Susan got their attention. HEY! Stop fighting, pack! Susan find food place! Food for everybody, oh! And Riptide eat the silvery wares! The pokemon stopped bickering, and decided to follow suit.
However, they made a quick detour to try at a few games. Riptide attempted to obliterate a pumpkin at Squash Smash, and missed entirely. "RIPTIDE NEED BETTER COORDINATION!" The crew had gotten a good laugh out of it. But then, Beltigre trotted up with a nice sized bag of tickets in her mouth. "Check it out, idiots! Some kid was fishing this outta pumpkin, and I swiped it from 'em! Not too shabby, right?" Meloetta started to scold the torracat on the values of honesty and how theft was bad, but Belitgre's hiss and glare made it clear she wasn't having any of it. Oh, fine!...let's just go eat. The pokemon wandered into the open-air restaurant to find them something to eat.

Jingū, pleased to receive a compliment, beamed brightly and gave a joyful, "Stee!" before she raced off, the promise of continuing the games calling to her. Rotom, as expected, followed after. "I see you have not lost your touch," Naomi noted, bemused, his eyes following the disappearing figures of his pokemon. "Her?" That key word catching his attention, he turned back to look at Dallas with a look of shock. "You have a girl friend!" He would have never admitted it out loud, at least without a bit of pressure, but it hadn't occurred to him that his friend would be female; he'd just assumed it was another guy. "I have never heard of Amarantha, but its name is gorgeous."
Instinctively Naomi looked to Rotom, hoping he would have an answer, but was reminded of his absence when the male found himself staring at an empty space; he really was used to his presence at this point. Ah well, he would just have to ask him when he returned. "Tamara sounds wonderful," Naomi summarized afterwards. "I cannot wait to meet her!" He had wanted to add in that he could understand Tamara's mix-up between Austin and Dallas, the two did share several physical characteristics, but he'd ultimately decided against it. It'd be something to ruminate on.
Well, maybe after he picked on an activity for them to participate in. "How abouuuut..." Naomi thought carefully, eyes bouncing from one activity to the next--this was an important decision he had to make, and one that couldn't be rushed--before they eventually landed on medium sized corn field, its bright green stalks catching his attention. "That one!" He pointed jubilantly to the corn maze, before rushing ahead to the entrance, arms extending out. "This seems fun, does it not?"

JR absently tossed the communicator up and down as he looked ahead, lost in thought, but still very much aware of his surroundings. He wasn't.... anxious for a response, he was perfectly content being patient, and if it became apparent he wouldn't get a reply soon, he would even be fine returning it to Trey's possession while he waited. That being said, there was still something akin to... anticipation, or curiosity, in the man's response. He couldn't imagine his assumption would be correct, given the odds, but if it were, that would be one fun coincidence. Maybe they could catch up sometime...
Checking his own communicator, his gaze slid to the side, and he paused to look around and take in his surroundings. All things considered, it might not be a bad idea to find Trey's pokemon for him. He really didn't want to deal with the fussy princess that would inevitably result if he actually manage to lose any of his pokemon...

JR shifted his weight and pivoted off one foot to swiftly turn around and begin a long stride in a different direction. He wasn't backtracking, but he was crossing walkways to head back to where he'd last seen the pokemon. That grovyle ought to stand out... assuming it hadn't lost track of the two foxes. Not that he could blame it if it did, given how slippery and fast they were, but still. Looking around, he considered letting Wesley out to help, but honestly.... he'd be more likely to have to defend himself, given he'd locked the pokemon in his pokeball for a while. It might not be a bad idea to get that out of the way, though, and let the pokemon burn off some steam...
