Erytheia had won his first round. He thanked Anser for playing with him. He was surprised he had won.

He had a bit more confidence when he readied himself for the next round. This one was a transcendent senshi. He remembered Urania mentioning a senshi of that name and he looked familiar.

“I’m Erytheia. I’m your match for this round. ”

Erytheia held his hand out for Encke.

Tjilaki sat down in front of her next opponent for the arm-wrestling tournament. It was another eternal just like her. She was gorgeous. “Your Beautiful…” “I am sorry. I am Tjilaki nice to meet you.”

Tjilaki quickly scanned the crowd and saw her new friend Puck there.

Tjilaki clasped hands with Ganymede. The other eternal exuded an aura of grace and power. Tjilaki channeled all her training and newfound strength into her match.

But Tjialki’s strength was no match for the eternal before her.

Ganymede effortlessly pinned Tjilaki's arm down, showcasing a strength that seemed almost otherworldly. Tjilaki despite her best efforts, couldn't match the sheer power her opponent possessed.

Tjilaki smiled at Ganymede and congratulated her on the well-deserved victory. "You're incredibly strong and skilled," she said genuinely, admiring the grace with which Ganymede had won. Tjilaki then turned to Puck on the sidelines, a smile still playing on her lips. "Looks like I couldn't make it to the top this time, but I gave it my best shot," she said cheerfully, grateful for the experience and the chance to compete against such formidable opponents.

And now just as Puck had promised to root for her she was going to do the same for Ganymede.

“I will be there in the final round cheering you on.”

Super Sailor Ymir

Fight or flight kicked in. That was the only explanation for why he put any strength into it, Ymir decided. Promethei was kind and welcoming enough, but in Ymir’s experience those things could be deceptive. So he pressed his arm down and won, then immediately regretted what could’ve only been instinct.

Ymir tensed, then gave a curt nod in response to Promethei’s encouragement and hurried off to find Surtur and await the next round.

His next opponent was a chipper looking girl in bright pink and orange. Just as he had with Promethei, Ymir said nothing to her and kept his gaze averted. The sooner they got this over with, the better.

Sailor Chibi Eupheme vs Katerini

Eupheme took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. She knew she was one of the youngest contestants there, but that was okay! She just wanted to have fun. As long as anyone against her was giving it their all, that was all that mattered! She felt a little guilty that some might think they would have to go easy on her because she was little, but she was stronger than she looked!

She just wished Henry had been there to see her. She would have to tell him all about it once she and Ganymede got home.

“Hello,” she chirped in greeting to the pretty Page in blue. “I’m Eupheme. Pronouns she her. You’re um… oh! Uh. Hold on, I know this one. I was just looking at my flash cards before coming here. You’re a Page of Castor, right? Is that right?” she asked with excitement because she was pretty sure she was right. She was pretty good with knowing knights and things like that, but then again, it would be pretty embarrassing if she didn’t know, given who her mom and dad were. Not to mention the rest of her family.

“Do your best and I will too! You don’t hurt me, I promise,” she insisted and held out her hand for the Page to take.

Connie, Squire of Chronos

Connie didn’t know how she managed to win her arm wrestling match, but it happened anyway! Next was a pretty blonde in all light blue.

“Oh, you sparkle so much I love it,” she gasped, and glanced around to see how her friends were doing. Perdita looked as though she didn’t make her match, but that was okay! This was all for fun, anyway!

She sat down and took hold of the Senshi’s hand.

“I’m Connie! It’s nice to meet you. Have you been a Senshi for long? I feel like I need to grow so much more, but I’ve really liked meeting everyone. Oh! We should probably try?”

Oh right, she needed to do the arm wrestling. She waited for the signal and then pushed as hard as she could. But it wasn’t enough and the Senshi won!

“Oh wow, you’re strong,” she gasped with delight. Thank you for playing me!”

Beira, Super Senshi of Loneliness

Noting Meissa’s awkward settling summoned a smile from Beira, who seemed like he was trying to reassure her. She seemed anxious so he couldn’t help but wonder about how important this was to her.

“Thank you, and to you, as well.”

He settled easily in his seat but he didn’t really feel like he was under any great pressure. It wasn’t that he was confident in his abilities, just that a win or a loss wouldn’t define him or diminish how far he’d come.

In the end, Meissa put more into it than he did. He’d put up a good fight but he found himself surprised by the Senshi’s determination and willpower, and even though he lost he still smiled.

“Meissa, was it?” he asked, testing the name. “That was impressive. I knew not to underestimate you but I didn’t know what to expect. Maybe you can give me some tips some time.” He smiled politely as he rose. “Good luck in your next round.”

Promethei, Squire of Mercury

He settled in the stands where there was an open spot to sit. Easy enough of a choice to make. It didn't catch his notice until after a few minutes that his choice of spot had put him within spitting distance of Emain Ablach.

... Should he move? Moving would probably be worse, right?

Maybe he would just pay more attention to the fact that his husband--the legally married one, the only one who still lived with him, the reason why he had moved up from his hometown in the first place--was steamrolling at the moment. That yellow-skinned (literally) alien didn't seem to have anything on him. Was it his rage? Probably. It seemed Imhotep had suddenly gotten fired up after hearing Emain Ablach's name.

That made him wonder if he should move just to make sure there wasn't a reason for Imhotep to look over to them anyway.

Should he say something to Emain Ablach? Or should he just sit there with this awkward several people distance between them? It was awkward enough that Emain Ablach kept looking at him as if it would resolve something.

His gaze shifted back to the matches to see Imhotep's next one. Eagerly, he leaned in, hoping to see his husband move on to the next stage again, and he even cheered to try and help that along. Did it work? He saw Imhotep look toward him, but it might have taken the wind out of his sails instead. He lost, gave the most basic exit, and wandered off.

Well. Should he have moved?

Suppose it didn't matter now.

Was Emain Ablach looking at him again? Staring at him endlessly wasn't going to do anything. Promethei lifted his hand, clicked his tongue, and offered a half-wave.
