Vince shied away from Olivia's nudging and gushing over his quiet admittance of wanting to love someone the way his parents loved each other. The admittance alone was embarrassing enough, but Olivia's reaction made it worse as his ears grew hot and he felt the urge to hide his face. "P-please keep your voice down...." He mumbled quietly, though when she insisted that he would find that sort of love one day in time, he gave a tired, appreciative smile. "Thank you." He nodded. "Actually, a few years ago, I thought I had." He suggested with a sigh. "She lived in blackthorn for a time, we started dating, and were together for a year, but her family moved away, and she had to go with them, so we decided to break it off." Vince took another sip of his drink. "Or rather, she decided to break it off...." He clarified. Vince was more than willing to try and maintain a long distance relationship, especially since he would soon have the ability to travel long distances, but.... She didn't want to force that on them, insisting that it would be too hard, too painful. He supposed she was right, but there was still some small part of him that wished they could have at least tried.
All of it was just three years of baggage now though, and Vince moved on to talking about his mother instead, as well as explaining their way of taming dragons and the reasoning behind it, using the tyrunt that he'd captured in the distortion world as an example. That way, Olivia could better understand why and how his family generally obtained scars like the ones his mother had. In the end, Olivia seemed to appreciate it, praising his mother as a wonderful sounding woman, and Vince nodded in agreement. Next on the list of her questions was his siblings, which he counted out before explaining that his oldest brother was currently engaged. Olivia seemed to get rather excited about that, which honestly surprised Vince. Weddings were exciting, sure, Vince was happy for his brother and looking forward to the wedding, when they finally picked a date, but Olivia seemed just as happy. Vince blinked from his thoughts as Olivia asked if he would be going back to blackthorn for the wedding. "Oh, er, yes. They haven't officially announced a date yet, but they've been planning it for months, so I wouldn't be surprised if they called me up soon with the day and time." Vince explained with a bit of a chuckle before getting a refill on his drink.
Then it was Olivia's turn, though she only had a brother, fifteen like Hinoka. The wording of her explanation concerned him though. "Only a brother, as in you only have one sibling, or as in...." Vince hesitated to inquire further, not wanting to sour the mood if Olivia's parents weren't alive, so he would let her draw the conclusion herself, if she wanted to. He half expected her to laugh his presumption off though and insist that she did have parents of course, but he feared for a worse reaction.
Apollo laughed before he looked down at himself, the bottom of his body, which meant his pants and shoes, were soaked, and though initially his top half had been saved from the waves so graciously summoned, he could do nothing against the rain. "Eh.." he let the noise be his response as he lifted his shoulders. He really needed to change his clothes, and soon. But, there were more important things to concern himself with and, following Lafayette's eye, he looked over at Cheri and Noah.
"I can see that." Though... it also looked as if Cheri was in a bad mood, flinging coins from off their towers. Or maybe that was her personality? It was hard to tell, and he certainly did know; the few times he'd seen her she'd been poisoned. Apollo turned back to Lafayette as he confirmed his condition and, unable to help himself, he spoke up. "You certainly look it, and you're welcome." Glad to have his reward taken up the bright-haired male rocked back on his heels, giving Lafayette time to consider the options he'd given him.
He grinned when the man agreed, the offer 'rippin' good', as he phrased it. Though pleased that he'd accepted it Apollo didn't fail to notice the shift in his expression when he mentioned finding another way of getting him his reward, if the lottery failed through. Oh, he liked this fellow. "Yeah, that's great." Rounding up Pearl and Eevee, he made to start heading towards the other stand. "I'll see you over there then."

Rowan was incredibly tempted to go after that pokemon. Something that could get into his inner circle needed to be seen. How had he missed it getting so close! He was always so careful. As he thought about going after said pokemon, he lapsed in his concentration and missed all of the platters, but at least Diaspore was able to get the bean bag toss fairly well.

Rowan was getting pretty tired for the day, and without being able to hunt down that pokemon, he was getting pretty bored as well. His patience never really waned, but here in this crowded place, he really felt the pressure. He kept taking deep breaths as Diaspore and Lithie ran off to get more tokens. Ajicka raised an eyebrow, then turned and looked at the zoroark as Avikna explained. "Oh yeah? Was she kidnapped or something?" she asked, looking the pokemon over. She looked back at Avikna. "Does she have a trainer?" She glanced over as she noticed ZK floating around nearby, and had to refrain from rolling her eyes before directing her attention back to Avikna. "Hm? Jay raised a bit of an eyebrow. "Yeah ah don' doubt it. Sounded like she was doin' uh hell've uh lotta damage back there," he remarked. He may have been pretty damn distracted during the whole thing, but surprisingly, he had been listening, sort of. At the very least, he remembered hearing bits and pieces of the battle, and he was pretty sure he recalled hearing her use hurricane a few times. Luckily that didn't seem to have added to the damage much, or, at least, not from what he could tell. He doubted it, though. He was pretty sure Sebastian -- and Gin, from what little he knew of her -- would try their best to avoid doign damage to the grounds and the nearby stands.
Jay smiled some as they decided on their next task. "Alright, sounds good," he agreed. Once everyone was healed up and they were all set, he placed a hand on Scy's shoulder, prepared to follow the scizor. He listened as Sebastian commented and clarified on the egg he had, frowning thoughtfully, but smiling a bit when he admitted getting advice from Jay's sister might help. "Well alright, ah'll send 'er uh message, then," he commented, pulling out his messager. He sent a quick voice message, then paused a bit, tilting his head to the side. "Hey Sebs, does yer machine let yew send voice mails?" he asked curiously.
As they got ready to leave, Jay smiled some at Sebastian's observation. "Sure feels like it..." he agreed. He still felt a bit bad, though. Golett had probably been playing this whole time. Mimey said she'd made sure it was safe, but... still. He smirked a bit at his 'advice'. "Heh, thanks fer thuh warnin'," he remarked, following Scy as the scizor started leading to a prize booth. "Yew got any idear what yer gonna get?" he asked.

From within one of Apollo's pokeballs a certain ghost bided his time, stewing and occasionally twitching, sparks flying with the erratic movement. Though he wasn't at all content with being held hostage he had learned from his last attempt that he couldn't simply run amuck, not without dire consequences at least. No, he'd need a plan, and a purpose for actually leaving. But, most of all, he needed-- the ghost's eyes widened as something went off in his head, an alarm bell of sorts, and he looked around his surroundings wildly. There! He was here! Close too! Electricity gathering excitedly he forced himself to calm down, bringing his excitement down to a stray spark or two.
Once he'd gathered himself the next, obvious, step was to find him, which involved getting out of this contraption, inconspicuously. It was easy enough to do, he found, and without a sound he forced himself into the daylight. The Rotom looked and blinked irritably in the light but, quickly moved away from his current location, hiding himself away behind a stand. When it was clear that his escape hadn't been noticed he flew off, zig-zagging and phasing through those he didn't have the time, or concern, to actually dodge. He was... left? No, right! Now straight! Following his senses the Rotom didn't stop until he spotted his target, instantly recognizing the yellow body and glasses, even if Meebus was in another form; haha, he'd found one of those things then? It wasn't surprising, what couldn't he do?

Proud as can be, the Florges returned with her prizes to present to Klefki. A ghost of a smile flickered across Klefki's mouth, though it was gone before Prim was able to confirm or deny its existence, and he turned back to once more return to Huey.

Olivia shot Vince a cheeky grin as he seemed to become even more embarrassed by her rather boisterous expression. She was still grinning, and then begin to giggle, when he beseeched her to quiet down and, with some effort, she managed to do as much, though in her eyes vibrant amusement still sparked. Luckily she managed to recompose herself right around the same time Vince admitted to a time when he'd thought he had found that sort of love, though the confession certainly helped her to regain her composure faster. "Ah, well... people come and go," she remarked sagely, taking the last swallow of her own drink. "I'm sure someone even better will come around, if not soon. After all, any girl would be lucky to have a guy like you." Even if it had been years ago, it seemed the topic of his ex was a sore subject for him. Which was understandable, it wasn't often that people enjoyed bringing up that particular subject.
Careful not to linger, Vince moved ahead to finish talking about his mother, describing his mother while, at the same time, mentioning just how his family went about taming dragons, which was certainly more dangerous than how most trainers went about capturing their pokemon. It only made sense that members of his family, like his mother, had scars, and Olivia couldn't help but to wonder if Vince had any as well; though that was a question for a later time. When he moved on to talk about his siblings, Vince included that his oldest brother was to be married soon, which instantly caught the pinkette's attention. Weddings were... always just so nice, it was the union of two different people; she couldn't help but to become happy to hear that someone, even a stranger, was taking that next step in life. Curious, Olivia asked if Vince would be taking the time to return home for the day of the wedding, then grinned at his answer. "Good." She paused for a moment, another question coming to mind. "Will you be taking part of the wedding, or will you just be a guest?" Though she was still curious about the wedding itself, secretly, the longer she thought about it, the more she couldn't help but grin of the idea of Vince in a suit, or some form of formal wear; she imagined he'd look good in it.
Still, somewhat, day dreaming of what a properly dressed Vince would look like, Olivia turned her head to the side, and then blinked at the male's question, the way he trailed off gave the soft insinuation that she might've meant that... "Oh, no." She shook her head, laughing as she did so. "Sorry, that was a bit vague. I meant that, as far as siblings went, I only have a brother. My parents are alive and well," she answered, chuckling once more. Though as amused as she was, she appreciated the sensitive way Vince had approached that certain subject, if she had meant it the other way, it was obvious that he would've asked the question with no intent of harm. "They're great people. I think you'd like them," she went on and then, with a glance towards her empty bottle, gestured towards the bartender for another Red Tail. Olivia gave a nod of thanks as the man handed her the, open, bottle and took an appreciative swallow of the liquid.

Huey turned his attention back to Berrie when she revealed that she was a ninja, though just like Riley she seemed more than happy to trade her title in to become a pirate. "What's it like being a ninja, Berrie?" Here he was, surrounded by a real-life pirate and ninja, just like in the books; those certainly were much more interesting than being a breeder. He'd admit, he was a little excited at the idea of being part of a pirate crew, but just for today! He didn't think his parents would want him to become a full-time pirate, and Andrew wouldn't be too pleased either. "I've never been on a boat before," he mused quietly, more to himself than to anyone else. "Do you have a boat, Miss Scarlet?" He looked up at her along with Riley, one hand moving up to pull at the scarf around her neck.
"Maybe he and Vanyel can be friends?" he chimed, perking up at the idea of one of his pokemon gaining a friend. Watching Riley greet the rest of his team Huey couldn't help but to grin, though it quickly dropped into a more subtle smile. All but Yuki gave an immediate response, the Froslass taking a few seconds before she offered a sullen wave towards Riley. "Hmm, I don't really know!" He brought his gaze skyward, where Minerva flew lazily ahead of them. She was far too big to simply walk the earth, and since she seemed to be enjoying the chance to spread and stretch her wings Huey had yet to return her. "I think she could be both, pretty and fierce. I'd have to ask her though." He didn't think she'd mind being called pretty after all, with her unique colors, it was true.
Tybalt watched as Vanyel jumped at just the simple hello, the reaction reminding him of something he would've done before and allowing him to, briefly, reflect on how much he'd grown. He waited for the Kirlia to answer his question, making note of how at one point he referred to the Absol, Seul he believed his name was. "Ah." Tybalt drew his arms close to his body before he nodded slowly, understanding Vanyel's question despite its vagueness. "I've only had this form for a day," he admitted, switching to the Kirlia's preferred method of communication. "But... I enjoy it. I feel more powerful and comfortable in this form, as if I can actually provide my trainer with some use." Perhaps it was because he was speaking to another of his kind, something he hadn't done ever since he was a Ralts, but he felt he could admit to him a few things he'd held secret to himself; or at the very least discuss the things he was uncomfortable about. "Have you thought about what form you want to take?" Since he'd spent time in both he could offer advice on both.
Huey made a face upon arriving to the main entrance, his feet squishing in the mud. Looking around, it seemed everything in this area, the people included, were soaked, a battle had taken place here. Turning away from the scene he listened to Scarlett as she gave them their first task, leaving it up to them to decide who did what. There were four of them and since Scarlett had already chosen to interrogate the few grunts still lurking around, that meant two of them would have to interview the people while the other went and helped with battling. Riley chose to do the former before asking him and Berrie what they wanted to do, though truthfully he was unsure himself. "I'm fine with either," he admitted then turned to look at Berrie. "So, uhm, I guess it's up to you." He truly had no preference, whether it was questioning the fairgoers or battling grunts for information, he was helping either way.

While Zak was doing his thing, his pokemon were doing their own thing. Namely, that was, following him around, looking around, playing games, or, you know... battling. Rufflet's priority in that list was fairly obvious, as he tore through a few opponents. Meebus, meanwhile, was much less concerned, however he did appear to begin looking around, as if expecting something, some way into the battling. He noticed a dewott, and electricity sparked around him, before a bolt of lightening struck the pokemon before it could even attack. The rotom's gaze shifted from it, however-- it apparently was not what he'd been looking for.
Somehow, however, he still had to turn when a familiar call reached him, and he blinked slowly, his expression neutral behind his glasses, as he spotted another of his species rushing towards him. "Hello |20+0|/|," he greeted calmly, his visage shuddering slightly before solidifying once more.

Lafayette smirked a bit as he addressed Apollo’s state, both from the other laughing and the mild noise he gave as an answer. Whatever had happened, it had gotten him good. Which was pretty funny, considering the other stuff they’d had to avoid recently. He only glimpsed over his shoulder at his pokemon before looking at Apollo again, smiling in return. "Well thank ya’ mate. I try no’ ta rust." He joshed, shifting in his armor a bit as he did. If he were a bit wittier, he might’ve tried to make a comment back, but kept his mouth shut instead. No… no reason to go scaring people with his words.
Lafayette grinned and gave Apollo a nod, a hand raising to also offer a little salute-like goodbye. It wasn’t as though they weren’t going to see each other soon or anything, but it just seemed proper. "Bonzah mate! It’s a goer, I’ll see ya in a minnie then." He remarked, watching as Apollo headed off in the direction of the lotto booth. He turned back to check his own situation, noting Cheri still standing there watching the count. Lafayette’s brow furrowed though when he noticed that Noah was missing now. "Where’d Noah go?" He remarked, gaze focusing on Cheri as she looked at him. She turned and gestured off in the direction of the games, pointing out a little Dewott in a helmet trying his hand at the tossing games.
"Ah…," the blonde murmured, pushing away and glancing at the Espurr again. "Stay here Cheri. I’ll be righ’ back." He remarked, stepping away to retrieve his pokemon. The pink Espurr just stared before returning her gaze to the count.
