"Ooooh," Pearl nodded her head sternly, the tip of her tail flicking absently as she was informed that Ren had been that pretty dark blue his entire life. Of course! She knew that! "Well, it looks good on you! I bet you get a lot of attention because of it," she complimented and then her attention shifted to the other pokemon beside him, the one that had been playing with the blue fox before she'd come along. She didn't recognize her at all, but she was pretty just like her friend! "Hey you!" from her spot Pearl offered an excited greeting. "What kind of pokemon are you?"

"Huh, really?" Surprise lit Apollo's tone when Ren's trainer revealed that his previous owner hadn't wanted him anymore. He couldn't imagine someone not wanting a shiny pokemon, especially not one with as rare a color as the Vulpix before him. He'd seen pictures and, on one separate occasion in person, a shiny Vulpix before, but none of them were ever blue. "Well, that's a shame. You'd think some people would have better sense than that." Apollo turned a soft smile to the raven-haired gentleman, his eyes absently scanning him and falling onto the few strands of gray amongst the black. Hm, interesting! He'd never seen that choice of color mixture before. "I apologize for intruding," he apologized, eyes eventually moving down so that he could actually look the male in the eye.

"I'm Apollo, by the way, and that chatty little girl is Pearl." He inclined towards his Eevee, who was currently trying to investigate Inari as much as she could without getting too close. "Might I say though..." Apollo reached forward to gently brush a strand of hair from out of Leon's hair, "You look rather dashing with that hair color of yours. Gray certainly suits you."

Pearl grinned widely at the hint of pride in Ren's voice when he revealed that he was a contest winner, "you're very welcome~" she purred. Her attention turned away from the Vulpix and to his fox companion when she began to move closer to her, crawling on her stomach to do so. She held back a giggle, though mirth sparkled in her eyes, then watched as she tapped her. "An Inari?" one ear dropped to the side with her head tilt. She'd never heard of that species before! Pearl paused, however, when Ren pointed out that she was only telling her her name. That was alright too! "Hi Inari, I'm Pearl it's nice to meet you!" With one paw she gently prodded her side, "wanna play?"

"That's certainly a bright side," Apollo agreed, holding back from making the obvious innuendo of Leon's 'good hands'; there was a time and place for these things. Out of the corner of his eye he watched as his pokemon chatted with Leon's, rather relieved to find that she was both friendly and sociable; very little of his pokemon actually displayed those character traits, now that he thought about it. He gave a nod at Leon, the male insisting that he hadn't disrupted any activity of the sort. That was good! It meant he could stay and chat a little longer.

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Leon," Apollo remarked, once he'd introduced himself. He held back on making another comment as curiosity got into the way. He looked back to Inari, the pokemon Pearl was currently holding a conversation with, his gaze falling idly over her form. "I've never heard of an Arusune before," he admitted, though his eyes remained on the fox. "What region are they from?" He eventually managed to look away from Inari, just In time to compliment Leon on his bicolored hair, coupled with a simple brush of the hair. "You're very welcome," Apollo responded and then drew back slowly, smile on his face. Leon hadn't necessarily been offended by the comment, or the touch, but he hadn't been thrilled either-- he was just like Sebastian in that regard; perhaps one of these days he'd find a stranger who'd reciprocate his lines and unbiased affection...

Before he could slip in another line Apollo felt himself instinctively stiffen, a shiver running up his spine when he felt and heard something sniffing at the back of his neck. At Leon's exclamation he turned around slowly, his eyes dilating in mild surprise when he found a Feraligator looming over him. It seemed... friendly enough, and from what he gathered this was Leon's starter. "Hey there, Kai. Nice to meet you," the bright-haired male managed a greeting once introductions had been made, the blue gator acknowledging him with a grunt. Apollo let out a soft sigh, his shoulders relaxing and his posture falling from out of its rigid stance. "Fan of water types?" he asked, once he'd managed to compose himself, blue orbs falling solely on Kai. Of course, this was just a simple guess. Leon had a variety of pokemon out with him, Kai being the only water type--unless Inari was one, though he doubted it given her appearance--so it was a way to keep the conversation going rather than any sort of deductive reasoning.

It wasn't hard to see the large sum of people making their leisurely way towards the train station however. Dressed in costume they were hard to miss. Avikna's brow quirked for a moment wondering why everyone was dressed up in what appeared to be medieval clothing. Her answer came a short while later when she entered the Pokemon center. Apparently a fair was being held. Last year had been that... Tanabata, she still had the costume she wore then. 'Why not go? That last one was pretty fun. Perhaps you'll have better luck with the games if there are any.' Mave teased, swaying her large tail back and forth. Avikna huffed at this jest but regardless, it sounded fun. Maybe she'd even meet the few people she'd met last time. With a sigh, she crossed her arms. "Alright. I guess we can go." She couldn't hide her excitement from Mave.

Deciding against a costume, Avikna decided to depart to the fair in her normal clothes. She honestly didn't feel like getting another outfit to tote along with her. Two were quiet enough. Thinking back to the time she wore the Egyptian princess one made her shiver. The memories were still fuzzy, but it didn't take away the feeling she felt after seeing Mave in that grotesque state. The wolf in question, stretched out as best she could on an adjacent seat arched a brow towards Avikna. The red-head shut away her thoughts, quickly traversing over to a woman in a green and blue velvet dress. It was low cut, and with her boobs pushed up into the air, it looked uncomfortable to Avikna frankly. How woman could stand that was beyond her.

Whatever the case, the train whistle blew, and last calls went out, ushering people onto the train. It was starting to get a bit cramped, especially with Mave taking up so much room, Avikna decided it was best she returned to her ball for the time being. Avikna hated the feeling just as much as Mave did, but it was for a short while. Thankfully with Celsius wrapped around her neck she didn't feel entirely lonely. The silent blade tightened his grip on her neck, aiding in the comfort. He didn't really like people brushing up against his sheath either. Once this train ride was over, she'd be relieved... Crowds were never Avikna's forte.

Lidia did remind him of something, though, with all her smart comments. He'd messaged Apollo and hadn't had the time to check back with him just yet. And since there were, at best, just a few pokemon running around to help their trainers search, he was pretty sure he didn't need to be on high alert just yet. He did release Meebus all the same, though, letting him roam with him, while Rufflet fluttered down from above to hop about, looking around curiously. Zak shot him a look. What a bizarre bird... He spent more time on the ground, or on his shoulder, then in the air. But more specifically he spent more time on the ground. It was just a... a weird thing to see. But, whatever. Maybe he'd get to do a bit of training while he was down there, or something.

Adjusting the egg in his arms, Zak let his pokemon handle the few, scattered rivals while he checked his messages. Ah! So there was a reply from Apollo! How delightful... That smirk slid over Zak's face like it belonged there -- which, let's be honest, it did -- and his eyelids lowered a bit as he scanned over the message. Just the most delightful combination of sincere conversation and flirtiness. Yep... Absolutely perfect.

I'm glad to hear that you're having better luck with that Rufflet than I did, hopefully that Mudkip will prove useful to you too. I've been well up till now, currently in Johto actually.

Zak clipped his communicator shut and looked around, finding that Meebus was dispatching a few pokemon a little ways off. He expected Rufflet to be near the pokemon, but he was hopping around instead, eying the passing pokemon in trainers. Was he trying to observe their enemies? Or had he caught on that they were all part of the same organization and he was attempting to learn more about it? Zak quirked an eyebrow, but looked down to the egg in his arms, placing a hand over it to make sure it wasn't growing cold. He couldn't help but think over Martello's little 'reminder'... He really did need to dig up something on Kail, or he would be in trouble. He still didn't understand why he was even given that mission in the first place, considering at the time, he was barely getting into field work. He had a few months under his belt now, sure, but he still wasn't a tracker or anything. It just... didn't really make sense on Imperium's part....

Zak turned his attention when he noticed Lidia quite literally fighting with another Imperium agent. He couldn't help but grin. In fact, he turned to watch, adjusting the egg in his arms, gently folding them to try and help insulate it. Lidia and the other girl clearly had found the star shard, though he admittedly didn't know who might have found it first. They each had a grip on it, though, trying to wrench it from the other, before Lidia promptly did the smart thing and kicked her leg out, knocking one of the girls knees in to make her lose her balance, and ripping the stone from her grasp. "Let's go!" she called to Zak, sprinting over and grabbling for her pokeball. Zak quickly returned Meebus and whistled for Rufflet. "Nice cat fight," he muttered with a grin, swiftly leaping onto Sal with Lidia, getting ahold and leaning down, holding the egg as the dragon quickly leaped up, and took off.

Pearl watched with joy as Inari, more or less, agreed to play with her, her excitement clear to see. "Okay! Let's play Hide-N-Seek!" she suggested then padded over to Ren, playfully bump him with her hips. "Come and join us!" she invited him, practically wiggling at the idea of having another pokemon join her and Inari in their play. "You can hide with Inari and I'll find you two!"

Apollo raised an eyebrow when Leon confessed to not knowing which region the Arusune line originated from, though went on to explain that its pokedex entry claimed the species to be elusive; it'd make sense if most people wouldn't know exactly if that was the case, it was hard to pinpoint the home of a pokemon that was difficult to find, he doubted most people even knew they were out there, he certainly didn't. Before continuing on with their conversation he glanced down at Ren, the blue fox having removed himself from Pearl and Inari to set by his leg, the opposite of where the other two were, mind you. "Had enough of those rambunctious girls?" he asked teasingly, though watched as Pearl moved over to address the Vulpix once more; did she really like his color that much?

Whatever the reason Apollo soon became too distracted to wonder any longer, the sudden appearance of Kai surprising him. He hadn't expected to be approached from behind, and certainly not to be sniffed; briefly the man wondered what he smelled like to the gator, to himself and other humans he smelled like mint, courtesy of the shampoo he used. Apollo managed to relax himself once Kai moved to join his trainer, who explained that he had an affinity for water types. Originally, his question had simply been another conversation piece, but now he couldn't help but think back to the PC of water types he still had. But before that... "So if I needed it, you'd give me mouth-to-mouth?" he teased, hanging onto the fact that Leon was a lifeguard. Now he knew who to call for if he ever started drowning, or 'drowning'. "But, I ask because I have a few water types I'm trying to give away to a few trainers, if you're interested I could give you one."
