Deep Space Super Sailor PyrrhusKaifeng got a grin and a nod. "Good thought," Pyrrhus complimented. He found himself glancing around, but--no, no ever-present looming oversized shadow. Apparently, Helene was staying home. That was fine with him.
And, hey! It actually looked like his magic might have done something, making the barrier shift and weaken, like rot spreading over the magic--
Things went wrong very, very quickly, though--which was how it tended to go, wasn't it.
Problem number one: that ******** siren. Pyrrhus was pretty sure he could recognize a burglar alarm when he heard one, and that definitely sounded like one. In other circumstances, that would make it time to ******** bolt, but there wasn't really anywhere to run to.
Problem number two: Kaifeng's werapon getting sucked into the barrier.
"Oh what the--"
And then the barrier lashed back.
Pyrrhus stumbled backwards, gasping as the wind was knocked from him, and blinked once, twice, shaking his head--but no, the ringing wasn't dissipating from his ears, and the colors weren't returning to his ********>--" he gasped, just in time to feel his skin light up with pain--all too familiar, like accidentally stumbling into daylight without protection.
"Ow, s**t, ********, sorry, the black and white is me," he gasped, since apparently they were all sharing in the fun backlash from the moon shield. "But it worked, it bent--we can get through the stupid thing," he said.
Pyrrhus strode right back up to the barrier where he'd attacked it, and pressed his hand against it, leaning hard. "Come on," he growled. "Open up. Aren't you the ultimate good guys? The perfect, heroic Moon Kingdom? Let us in, there's world-saving to be done."
He turned back, to the snack table.
"Thalassa, Troilus come help me check this out. I swear, my magic did something." He inhaled, tensely. "But be careful. Stupid thing hits back."The Space Cauldron interacting with the barrier! Amor Remanet bestows +1 upon thalassa!

Cynthus, Squire of the Moon“I already tried that,” Cynthus told the Chibi Senshi (Eupheme) who barged over to repeat all the same things Cynthus had said. Which obviously didn’t work. Cynthus had obviously known that. All she wanted was the money and access to Ganymede’s closet. Ganymede hadn’t specified how much effort they had to make, just that she wanted to see proof of them making one.
(Also, Cynthus supposed it sucked that a world eating monster was on the way, and she definitely wanted to stop that from happening if she could, but she had no idea what to actually do about these barriers, so… someone else was going to have to figure it out!)
Touching it didn’t work. Ramming it didn’t work. Magic didn’t work. A Moon Knight signet ring didn’t work. They’d only just begun and Cynthus was already annoyed.
“I bet one of the Serenitys could walk right through it,” she said to no one in particular. Then, louder. “Hey, Ghost Queen! I know people have seen you, like, a long, long time ago! Come out and do something about this! We’re trying to save the Earth! Don’t you care?”- Yvoire, Squire of GanymedeYvoire stepped away to make room for those making magical and physical efforts to get through. Like Cynthus, he had few ideas, so it would probably be best to stand aside. The only part of the Moon Palace he’d ever been to was the room with the Code Piece. The rest had a sacredness to it, like it was too solemn a place to invade.
“Could it be blood magic?” he asked, like that was a totally normal thing he had experience with (it wasn’t, but he did).“Ew, what?”
Cynthus’ nose scrunched in disgust.Yvoire ducked his head. “I just—At my Wonder—When we had to find our Code pieces last year… mine was locked behind a door sealed with blood magic…”
He shifted from foot to foot, dropping his gaze to the floor.“So you had to, what? Bleed all over it?” At Yvoire’s hesitant nod, Cynthus said, “Ew! I thought Ganymede was supposed to be fancy, not weird!”Yvoire cleared his throat and avoided looking at Reims. They’d found worse things than a door sealed with magic…- Rose, Page of LysitheaRose put a consoling hand on Reims’ arm, trying to calm him before he could get too heated. She offered an apologetic smile for Reims’ attitude to both the fancily dressed Senshi (Murikabushi) and the blue haired one with the glowing marks (Kerberos).
“I suppose there could be some sort of hidden switch,” she said. No one found one at first glance, but then a hidden switch of such importance probably wouldn’t be so easy to find.
“Maybe they hid something in a potted plant,” she continued, building off of Amarynthos’ questions, though she wasn’t entirely serious, her voice light. “We use a lockbox at home, but I don’t see anything like it around here, unless there’s something buried under the rubble.”

Amarynthos, Knight of the Moon
Amarynthos wanted to think that by nature of being Moon Knights that he and Ephesus and Nectaris and Cynthus would have had some special bond with the Moon Palace, that it would understand they were just trying to help.
The Moon didn’t seem to see them any differently as anyone else.
He didn’t take it personally. They were still very new–and the Code in the Celestial Theatre had only been up here for a few years, anyway. Maybe it would have been different if the Moon Queen had agreed to have Knights a thousand years ago–but, maybe if she had, the Moon wouldn’t have fallen.
Amarynthos made a face as the dust and debris shifted, because he’d just swept up some dust, but everyone seemed–for the most part–unharmed. So, he started sweeping again.
Though Dejanira had left the area, it didn’t stop him from thinking about her questions, and now that the danger seemed to be over he was happy to share his thoughts just in case anyone nearby was still thinking about them. He smiled at Solaris, hopeful that her age and expertise and general affinity with technology might have some use here. Urania looked like her magic had been able to do something to the barrier, even if Amarynthos got a little squeamish at the idea of outright attacking it. Good thing Alastor wasn’t here, he probably would have tried to bust down the door, too. Lucien and Soleiyu loved to poke and prod, where were they? At least Realta was here.
“I don’t know if the Moon would give any special favor to Moon Knights. I mean, the Code was brought here so long after this place was built, but if there’s programming here to let anyone in, it would have been made way before Moon Knights were a thing. I can’t tell what’s tech and what’s magic. Maybe we seem as foreign as every other Knight.” Still, he wanted to stay positive. He looked at Nectaris after she attempted to interact with her signet ring and asked hopefully, “Any luck?”
He still wasn’t sure how to proceed and he didn’t want to agitate the Moon, so he flashed Ephesus and his friends–including Reims–an encouraging smile before he started sweeping again. Even if they were talking about weird things like blood magic?? He brought a broom, not a biohazard kit! Don't give anyone any ideas!
He gave Eupheme an encouraging thumbs up. He stayed close to the wall and looked for anything that looked strange or out of place but it was hard to look for something you didn’t know you were looking for.

Ephesus, Knight of the MoonEphesus let out a startled squeak in surprise when others attacked the barrier and a shrill siren filled the air. Not wanting to cause the Moon Palace any more distress (or cause any other alarms, although he didn’t think his touch was what caused it), he quickly retreated to Amarynthos’ side as he tried cleaning up some of the debris that had been left behind over who knew how many centuries.
Safe beside Amarynthos, Ephesus blinked curiously at Yvoire, before it shifted into concern.
“Are you okay?” he asked, because there had to be blood involved to see if blood magic worked. He certainly hoped his Wonder didn’t require blood magic. Reims, Knight of GanymedeReims scoffed again, opening his mouth to snark back at the Senshi, but stopped when Rose put a hand on his arm.
He clicked his tongue to the roof of his mouth and shrugged.
“Not everyone has a home,” he grumbled.
He got lucky. He’d only been without a home for a few days -- by his own decision -- before he was promised a place to stay. But it wasn’t as though he’d ever been trusted to lock doors before. He hadn’t been trusted to do anything.
He didn’t go into detail about how he was used to being locked out. It wasn’t worth it.
“Dering, you should try playing some music. If it doesn’t work, at least we’ll have something nice to listen to, instead of everyone’s bitching,” he huffed, then bared his teeth in response to Amarynthos smiling at him. Sailor Chibi Eupheme, Senshi of Weightlessness“Hello! Ghost Queen, can you hear us? We need your help, please!” Eupheme called out to the barrier, more or less copying Cynthus again, but it wasn’t her fault the blue haired girl had good ideas!
She pouted and crossed her arms as she looked around at the other Senshi and Knights meandering about. She could get some food and just hang around until someone else figured it out, but she was determined to prove her usefulness.
So before she could be scolded again, Eupheme pranced off to the next room over, which just happened to be the library.
“I bet there’s a secret lever here, somewhere!” she chirped enthusiastically, going over to the first set of books to start pulling them out a little one by one, and pushing them back in place. The Space Cauldron Testing out the books for a secret lever or something.

Halle Knight of LysitheaHalle tried not to smile too widely as the other boy both shrugged dismissively and also rattle off suggestions. "They might actually be familiar with it," he began to explain. "Either through memories of past lives or..." Halle pointed odd some of senshi clearly not of Earth, "...they're old enough to remember. The uh...ones that don't look human? Some are a thousand years old. They might have been here before." Seeing Santa Maria wince, he was about to ask if he'd been fighting, when the area around the barrier turned into what could only be called a ruckus. "Um...hmmm." Giving the squires sleeve a small tug, he said, "Let's leave them to that, I think I saw a a bit of a library thrugh there. May as well give it a look." Who knows, maybe there was a magic barrier instruction manual to be found. xThe Space Cauldron Investigating the library!

Sailor Mönch, of Popcorn! Senshi of Herpes?What....what an interesting sphere! Was there one for everything? Apparently there were also space snakes! And space unicorns if some of the magic being thrown about meant anything. Mönch was more than a little dazzled by the space unicorn. As talk went on and magic swirled about the area, her eyes grew wider and shinier, like a child beholding Disneyland or an adult encountering a cruise buffet for the first time. It was hard to know where to look! Or what to think! Queens! Princesses! Kingdoms! Maybe she should have read the Senshi Handbook App instead of the Connections profiles! Watching Tempesti get flustered and go over to some explore around the vines like a real adventurer, Mönch wondered if maybe she'd misheard her sphere name. Maybe it was harps? Yeah, it was definitely harps!. She then turned to to greet the purple fellow who had introduced himself but whatever she was going to say was startled right out of her body when she heard her senshi name! "Oh! That's me! I'm Mönch!" She gave a big taa-daa pose as the activity at the barrier grew even more...well, a lot. Aliens! Unicorns! Ominous sounds! Children shouting! Adults shouting! Free food and soda! Jungle vines! Magic! Knights doing presumable knight things! Senshi of things like nihility! This party really had it all! "Pleased to meet you guys! I hope you had good heists?"

Lacille Super of BooksLibary Lacille had a long long day or week or year before the call went out and she answered the call with Coco anyway even if she was tired she was willing to help to find the answer to this question. She went to the library because where else would she go given the choices? She would look and try to take down the barrier and figure out the answer to this riddle. She smiled even as tired as she felt lately. She was ready to do this no matter what it took because that was what it meant to be a senshi.

Coco guardian catthe SpireCoco had arrived when the call went out and she was ready to look for clues as to how to get past the barrier she was in cat form right now and went to the spire to see what she could find. Helping senshi and knights was her destiny. She had known that from a young age when she had realized she wasn't just a cat when her memories had come back to her. She was now living with Lacille and her friend of course went to the library which was no surprise to Coco. Coco loved art and Lacille loved books it was simple to understand.

Super Grieve of Grieve The smooshing was pretty ******** comfortable to be honest. She could probably sleep like this? Resting her cheek against what she now considered Serenity's giant ghost bosom, she watched other attempts play out. Snickering while Murikabushi almost got into a sass-off with Gany's bratty knight, flipping off Thalassa's useless suggestion, and chortling when that ********, Pyrrhus got the back end of his own magic. She grinned at Aruna, practically hiding behind Muri's ample muscles and skirts. Was that Arcalis? Madriu should be happy about that, yeah? The Arm Wrestling Champion Chibi got a small round of applause and a cheerful, "Kick its a**, babe!" Though sadly the little thing didn't burst into a flurry of tiny fists and violence. Ah well! The kid still had a promising future. Was that Mönch??? Nice. She'd have to bother the girl for an attack. Nothing like trying to eat all the magic popcorn in a half a minute before it disappeared. She'd dreamed of that game time to time during the centuries starving on her world. Fang, a fellow member of the Everything is ******** Gourmet If You're Determined Enough Club, tried to eat the barrier. Good for him. Eventually she decided to get up, and gave the barrier a friendly little pat. Thanks for not embarrassing the s**t out me like you did these other assholes, babe. "Alright, later losers, I'm going someplace tall." Following Erytheia up, Grieve found herself staring at the stone that was giving gross vibes that demanded ******** awe and respect of some sort. She looked at the thing with disgust and dismay, like she'd just stepped into a pile of dogshit. Turning her back to it, she looked around the rest of the area and tried not to either have a full blown temper tantrum or give into the urge to run back to earth.

Arcalís, DSS of Adversity“It’s you,” Arcalís repeated, closing his hand so that he and Madriu were holding onto each other, instead of only Madriu holding onto Arcalís. His heart fluttered, all starting and stopping and refusing to decide what it wanted to do with itself, because this felt like it shouldn’t have been real, and yet it was. And unfortunately, the realization of how real this was—the warmth of Madriu’s hand and the solid feeling of his chest—came with the realization of everything that this implied: “Lex, your grandmother……your siblings……”
His parents, too, but everything with them had always been so complicated. Hannah and Jakob were so………well. Arcalís regretted their deaths, and he regretted that they’d probably suffered during their final days. But more than that, he regretted how much they’d likely made Margot, Galene, Chrys, and most importantly Lex all suffer. If Ryshard managed to avoid anything, then it was likely only because he’d moved off-world after marrying his wife and if the Chaos infection on Madriu had worked like the one on Arcalís, then Hannah and Jakob wouldn’t have been able to contact Ryshard to torment him.
“I’m so sorry,” Arcalís whispered, tucking himself closer to Madriu’s chest without thinking about it. Even after so long, he found it so easy to slip back into the intimacy they’d had before. Maybe especially after so long, given how many centuries it had been since Arcalís had been safe and intimate with someone like this. “We……we should probably……”
Get back to investigating, Arcalís meant to say, but he couldn’t bring himself to finish the thought. Even hearing others start coming into the library, Arcalís didn’t feel like he had it in him to pull away from Madriu or to affirm that they’d been doing something here.
Lex was here. Lex was alive. And even though he wanted to help investigate, Arcalís wanted to stay attached to Lex even more.lizbot Halle gonna see two sad aliens hugging and being Soft at each other all over the library sleet tempest snape Novella gonna see the same sad aliens

Kaifeng, Knight of SaturnLocation: Reception Area. The siren caught Kaifeng’s attention, and nearly made him falter in his attack on the barrier. But—no, he couldn’t back down. They had to get through these barriers. They had to find the intel hidden on the other side. Eight billion lives might have depended on their success. The siren was only proof that whatever they were doing, it was working.
Until, all of a sudden, things distinctly did not go well.
Kaifeng tried to keep a hold on his spade as something in the barrier started pulling on it. He held fast to his weapon, trying to keep it from being subsumed……but he failed. The barrier sucked his staff and spade into itself. When Kaifeng beat his fist against the barrier, trying to break into it and reclaim his weapon before it could disappear completely, he found it hardened. His weapon slipped all the way into the barrier, and Kaifeng paled as he watched it disappear.
Can I summon it back to hand, Kaifeng wondered—but he didn’t have much time to dwell on that thought.
The barriers’ blowback against Pyrrhus’s magic and his attack hit Kaifeng hard, knocking everything into black and white. As his eyes struggled to adjust to the new color scheme, his skin felt like it was on fire. The sensation calmed down soon enough……well, mostly, anyway. Not all the way, but at least the feeling like sunburn was a lot better than some kind of star or something trying to sear off his skin because of “I don’t know, the centuries-dead Moon Queen is ******** mad at me or something” reasons.
“Your magic was working,” Kaifeng agreed, rejoining Pyrrhus by the barrier. “And people seemed to have some more success with using their hands, maybe?” The door on the other side of the barrier mocked him, so close and yet so far. Squinting as though he could bring back his color vision—or maybe just recall enough of where the rotted-looking spots had been before—Kaifeng looked back to the barrier. “The spots that were showing up before, they looked like mold or death or something. Maybe, we have to focus our efforts on one of those? And show determination about it.”
After all, some long-dead queen was not the boss of him. He answered to the Code, not to her. Plus, if she was the sort of person to just passively let billions of people die, then maybe she didn’t deserve his respect. Maybe she shouldn’t have been so arrogant as to lock her precious secret knowledge away like this, and then people wouldn’t need to do felonies all over her Moon Palace.
Kaifeng wasn’t sure if he’d picked out one of the right spots, but he still zeroed in on one area of the barrier. Then, emulating something he’d seen once in a movie, he pressed his fingertips to the barrier, holding his hand out as if going to shake someone else’s. Without moving his arm, he curled his fingers back into a fist. He jabbed that fist into the spot that he really hoped might have enough wear and tear to get through. It was a quick strike, and followed fast by another, then another, and then another.
If she didn’t yield soon, Queen Serenity’s ghost was going to find out that Kaifeng was prepared to do this until Helene came up here and coaxed him into coming back home.genovianprince Bestowing +1 on Troilus for his investigation!

Deep Space Super Sailor MadriuLocation: Library "Yeah, it is." Madriu smiled, real and genuine and soft, in a way that it felt like he hadn't for.....a very, very long time. He brought Arcalís's hand around so he could kiss the knuckles, relishing in being able to do that again.
The reminder of his family made his ears drop, slightly, and his smile turned a little sad.
"It's been...a long time. But yes, they...everyone is gone. Most of the universe is, it seems. But there are a few who survived. Grieve. Róka. A few other people from the Nameless. So we aren't entirely on our own."
There were other people there. It was difficult for him to care.
He put an arm around Arcalís's waist and squeezed, gently, and let himself linger in the warmth of his partner in his arms for a long moment.
But, eventually, he forced himself to return to reality.
"Help me investigate these books? I'd hate for both of us to have made it this long, only for this storm-monster to make it all moot again."
He carefully disentangled from the embrace and moved towards the nearest shelf, running a finger over the spines as if whatever was written there might give him a clue--but at no point did he let go of Arcalís's hand. The Space Cauldron investigating one of the library shelves!

Fang, Eternal Senshi of ChrysocyonLocation: moving to The Gardens Fang shivered when the barrier seemed to freeze his teeth, backing away quickly and smacking his lips as he ran his tongue over his teeth to try to return warmth to them. Interesting. " Very cold," he announced to the room. Likely, nobody cared, but at least Fang had satisfied the final sense in trying to figure out what the barrier was, exactly. He decided to head to the Gardens. He felt happier among the plants. And maybe there was a hidden switch in a watering can, or a water spout that didn't produce water, but turned some gears somewhere else and opened a path. So, he began investigating the various tools used to tend the gardens. He'd been watching a lot of fun detective shows and movies, older stuff like Murder She Wrote and Scooby Doo. This seemed like the sort of thing that ought to be investigated, according to that logic.

Mauvian IllyriaThere had been times in the past when Illyria would have been blissfully unaware of events that were currently taking place. That didn't ring so much true anymore since she had bonded with her senshi. Ida had been very communicative about the danger that Earth was potentially facing and all the avenues that were being explored by those of higher ranking, including it seemed, the Negaverse and also the Velencians.
Not at all trusting of the latter grouping, and for good reason, Illyria thought that she could try to assist with at least one aspect of seeking answers. It was with that thought in mind that the Mauvian chose to quietly make the trip to the Moon in order to determine whether answers could be found. Having taken in the sight of the lunar eclipse the evening before Illyria believed that she was primed and ready to search for the information that would be detrimental to defeating this new threat. Upon arrival though Illyria took in the sight of the placard on the table before frowning. Ganymede was asking a lot, and it didn't even seem as that particular senshi was in attendance. Moving to sit underneath the table the Mauvian surveyed the crowd before flinching a little. There were a few familiar faces in the crowd that Illyria was going to stay clear of, if she could manage to do so.
Noticing that some of those that had chosen to attack the barriers preventing passage did Illyria simply shake her head. Her opinion of that not being wise proved to be accurate as the barrier lashed back out.
Not really caring about the prize incentive or the free food did Illyria began padding slowly towards the gardens. She'd start her investigation there. All in all though, the Palace grounds were beyond incredible. The architecture alone, even in its ruined state, spoke highly of those that had created the place long ago. Keeping up the silent mantra of, "I only wish to help those in danger," did Illyria begin to sniff at random spots in the garden, looking for anything that would stand out in her superb vision.
If the Moon could sense that she didn't mean to desecrate any place, simply find the information that would aid in the defeat of this world-destroying serpentine creature and then get out ... would the barrier allow her to pass through? The Space Cauldron Garden investigation by a curious feline
