BOSS: ?????/?????
Every attack seemed only to enrage the automaton more. It groaned, a sound made by gears and metal and somehow all the more eerie for its inhumanity. The onslaught seemed to be wearing it down somewhat--slowly, it went to one knee, bowed by the magic and debris that rained on it.
But it could still fight. It slammed its hammer arm down again, sending out another powerful shockwave.
Then, it raised it to strike again.

Eternal Sailor AsmodeusHP: 100/100 Location: B2 Action: Activating the Engine. Targets: N/A Damage/Healing/Buff Done: N/A Enemy HP: Boss: ?????/????? Asmudeus flashed Hati a broad grin, and then she took off for the Engine.
It was open, but she couldn't see anything readily apparent. No controls, no switches, no obvious way to turn it on. She turned back, and winced as the automaton's hammer came down again, rattling the whole room. Thank God for the cute little unicorn Knight (Dering) and his magic, keeping most of the people there protected from the automaton's attacks--she hadn't expected something that could hit this hard.
But she went back to the Engine, and hissed tensely.
Was it one of the other control panels? Was she wrong? Was there no way to turn it back on in this room? Had she led them all down here for nothing?
"They're coming, my love."
Asmodeus knew that voice. Hati--not her Hati, the old Hati. She'd heard him plenty of times in her memories.
"I know," Liliana said, and Asmodeus felt jolted by the sudden transition between present and past--and seeing the Engine alive and roaring in front of her. "But my automaton will stop them, if they make it this far. And even if they somehow get past it--they will not have the Engine. None of them will have the courage to reactivate it."
She reached forward. Into the fire. Asmodeus felt its heat even in memory, as her hands wrapped around a handle inside the Engine and she pushed it up.
An emergency shutoff. And if it was flipped back on, the Engine would surely roar back to life, with all the heat and fire that would come with it.
Asmodeus jolted back into the present.
The automaton raised its hammer again.
"Hati! I love you!" She shouted. She didn't use those words often. Didn't like the way they felt, how trite and silly they were. But right now, she needed to say it. Before she did something ridiculously stupid.
She reached into the Engine. Found the handle easily.
Squeezed her eyes shut. This was going to hurt, but maybe if she was fast--
She wrapped both hands around it and pulled forward, and there was a roar as the Engine reactivated.
Asmodeus didn't feel the heat. Only a comforting warmth, and something settling on her arms.
Asmodeus stumbled back, shocked that she wasn't in screaming agony. Surely no magic could have protected her from the heat within the engine--perhaps it had simply been so fast, she hadn't had time to feel pain?
Except that when she opened her eyes, her arms were blackened wrist to elbow--with ash.
Ash from within the Engine. A gift, from her world, to protect her from the heat within it. A reward for her courage. Or stubbornness. One or the other.

The Engine roared to life, and the massive automaton froze, midstrike, hammer arm raised in the air.
It seemed...confused. Stunned. As if it no longer understood what was going on.
Perhaps, a perfect moment to strike...

If this was the moment that healed this planet, she was honored to share in that. As much emotion as that sentiment stirred, the time to enjoy the feeling would be painfully short unless they took down this machine. Part of her had hoped that something in its programming would recognize Asmodeus at least as an ally after she reactivated the Engine it was protecting, but it didn’t look like they would have any such luck. She wasn’t sure how she would draw enough energy for a third attack but it looked vulnerable, so she needed to strike while she could. Struggling to remain upright, Sailor Tempesti staggered forward. “BITTER BLAST!”As the winds rose around her, the senshi forced herself to keep her eyes open, bracing her legs harder as they threatened to crumble beneath her. She didn’t know how much longer this battle was going to be, but she hoped the adrenaline would be enough to carry her through.

UraniaHP: 46 Location: 3C Action: Attacking Targets: Engine Room Mech Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 19 Enemy HP: 2431/3000 Urania moved closer to the mech and could see the Eternal Engine now. Asmodeus was pulling at a lever. Something appeared on her arms that looked like ash. Could it be? The senshi had no time to attend to Asmodeus. She was right next to the engine room mech now and needed to concentrate. Her celestial summons had faded and she now had to call a new attack. Perhaps the mech could be blinded? “Urania’s Heavenly Link!”Quote: Urania’s Heavenly Link. An ethereal astronomy chart manifests around Urania and three stars become platforms to stand on. For the next 15 seconds, she can use the stars to create a path either vertically or at a 45 degree angle and cross over them. Allies may follow her on this path. However, enemies that try to follow will find that the stars will glow brightly, blinding them for 3 seconds and then disappearing under their feet. She can now summon the star immediately under an enemy to blind them for 3 seconds, but she will not be able to use the stars as platforms if she uses it in this way. Two uses. ❂

Eternal Murikabushi of HungerHP: 82 / 100 Location: D4Action: Attacking the big boss (super magic, indirect damage). Targets: Engine room mech. Damage Done: 18. Enemy HP: 2413 / 3000Even though he’d told Tianyi that it was okay to stay back—and he stood by that, or would have if anyone had asked—Murikabushi grinned as he looked back and saw his friend coming to join him, carrying debris to be weaponized against the engine room mech. While Murikabushi didn’t know all the details of what Tianyi had been through before he’d come to Earth, he knew enough to surmise that it had been especially bad, even by the standards set by other long-surviving space senshi. He also knew better than to expect that one good day, with several big shows of courage in the face of a terrifying and unfamiliar situation, meant that everything with Tianyi was “all better” by any stretch of the imagination.
But it still did Murikabushi’s heart good to see his friend starting to come more into himself.
Moving, however, did bring them into something strange. Somebody’s magic had put a ring of unicorns up (Lysithea Knight magic?, Murikabushi wondered, thinking about how Lysi herself was the senshi of unicorns, and Knights’ magic often seemed to reflect similar sorts of vibes as their worlds’ royal senshi’s magic). Passing them by, Murikabushi ran into a thick mist, and only after a moment, managed to pick out the one Knight at the center, playing a lute (Dering). Alright, definitely Lysithea Knight magic, then. In the midst of it all, a soft yellow light washed over Murikabushi and started closing up the cut along his thigh. He looked around for the source (Acrucis), but it was too hard to tell with so much going on.
He couldn’t rightly tell what was happening with Asmodeus either, like—gurl?? Was she shoving her hands into the engine??
Murikabushi didn’t understand, but he summoned some of his own magic regardless, hoping it might help prevent the mecha guy from ******** around and ruining whatever Asmo thought she was doing.Quote: Super Sailor Scout Attack: Ravenous Hunger. Enemies within 15 feet of him are wracked with an intense hunger—the sort of hunger that gnaws at your insides, like you haven’t eaten all day. The craving can be for anything—food, drink, affection/intimacy, alcohol or narcotics, the answers to the math homework, etc.—and enemies are compelled to satiate it, but find it even more difficult to do so than they would expect. In addition to the intensity, this hunger makes them feel somewhat sluggish, making it harder for them to think, decide what to do, and see any actions through to completion, even those that they believe will satiate their hunger. Affected targets are still capable of acting and fighting back—though people may react to hungers roused by Murikabushi’s magic differently—but until the hunger abates, they will struggle. This spell lasts for 35 seconds, and Murikabushi can use it twice per battle. Additionally, this magic can be varying degrees of thrown off or ignored with focus, determination, practiced self-neglect that makes one feel like this hunger isn’t so bad, being accustomed to deprivation and therefore more capable of powering through the effects, magical protection, or some other, similar means of resistance.

Character Name and journal link Chang'E Dss of ElationHP: 29/50 Location: F2 Action: Throwing something Targets: Boss Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 6 DMGEnemy HP: Chang'E had nearly ducked out of habit as Brioche had decided to use their star beam on the mech, half worried they'd take some of his hair with it. But he stayed mostly still until he decided to try a different tactic and shuffled his foot around until he found some more bits of metal to throw at the thing. He didn't like being this close, not just for his sake, but it seemed better to stay in the group in order to keep safe and from most harm. He was still hurting though and looked forward to going home to rest, something he figured Brioche was looking forward to as well. He really needed to take a look over his fluffy friend, just to make sure they were truly alright after all this excitement today. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Character Name and journal link ChillinghamHP: 48/50 Location: E3 Action: Bonk! Targets: Boss Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 1 DMG Enemy HP: Something changed and while Chillingham still dodged out of habit, she was glad that the big mech hadn't done any actual damage again. It did distract her though as she swung at it again, her hit glancing off as she watched the thing pause and just... stop doing whatever it had been doing. "Oh... wassit, is it broken? Did we do it?" Looking back, the lady who was supposed to be in charge, she couldn't find her, really, among all the other senshi and knights that were helping out. It left her looking up at the thing, reading herself to step back if it fell over or did something else spooky. All her stories had never really said anything about a big mech like this, science fiction hadn't been something she'd read into as much as fantasy. But in the middle of it, she did look around for her friends, trying to make sure that Tianyi, Aruna, and the new pair of Muri and Tempesti were alright. It was just difficult with the mist and all the magic and debris getting thrown around. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Character Name and journal link PortiaHP: 29/50 Location: F3 Action: Throwing some debris Targets: Boss Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 7 DMGEnemy HP:Another hammer fall but again nothing seemed to harm her. So this mist was useful at least, something worth noting for the future if she figured out who was doing it and how it worked. When something shifted, causing the mech to stutter almost, she watched it carefully as she held another chunk of metal. This would be something she looked into, if only to give a name for this new thing she really disliked. It gave her more reason to avoid these other senshi, to avoid them and their problematic worlds. She didn't see why they were putting in this effort when things on their planet were fighting tooth and nail against whatever they were trying to do. Starting an engine? Saving the core of a world? The only thing she wanted to do was watch hers burn, good riddance in her opinion, but she wasn't about to share it here. As the thing shifted slightly, she took her chance to throw that chunk of metal at it, at least taking a bit of relief in getting to fight a bit without having to be the lone opponent against something like this.

Targets: Boss Damage/Healing/Buff Done: 10 + 2 = 12 DMGEnemy HP:Procyon hadn't seen things, but he had heard something and as he looked around, he saw that Asmodeus wasn't nearby anymore. It gave him a boost of determination, knowing that she'd gone ahead to try and start back up the engine, even if he didn't quite understand it. He didn't need to, nor did anyone else really since no two worlds were alike, but he was glad to see that the large mech seemed stunned. This hadn't gone poorly, not really, and it gave him an inkling that he might not have as hard a time on his world considering he hadn't seen anything big or mechanical ever in his time there. Hopefully others would show up, just as they had today, because it seemed like teamwork really had helped in the long run each time he'd witnessed a senshi working to save their world. Stepping forward again towards the thing, reaching for his weaker magic this time, he would keep trying to help others, even if he didn't know them like he hadn't known this one.

Super Sailor Solaris ★ HP: 55 /75 Location: F3 - E3 Action: Attacking, Direct Basic Target: Boss (due to DSS Magic Glitch™, only one target will be hit by her magic) Damage Done: 10 + 1 (AoS) + 3 = 14 Enemy HP: 2,373 /3000
There was a level of relief that Asmodeus not only reached the Engine, but... y'know, didn't burst into flames when Solaris saw the start-up process caused instant fire flaring up.... something to ask about later. She'd used up her bigger magic, and felt the physical drain for it, but she was able to draw into that connection to her world and yank out her magic she held as a first rank senshi. It required her to move in closer, wary of that damn hammer but... "Catalytic Spark!"
The resulting larger golden orb didn't result in the same power as before, but hey. She'd take it while the thing was stunned. "Can anyone reach an off switch for this thing?"
Quote: ✶ Catalytic Spark_________「𝔅」 She points her fingers with one hand like a 'gun' to direct her magic at a target. Snapping those fingers, Solaris creates a spark that stays in front of her hand. This spark is the catalyst for a rapidly growing flood of energy to pool into an expanding, fuzzy ball in front of her hand. It maxes out in size of about 9.5 inches diameter (the size of a basketball). This ball of golden, condensed light and energy then shoots out towards the target Solaris' pointer finger is directed at. The ball can travel up to ten feet before exploding and dispersing, even if it hasn't hit a target by that point. Anyone hit by the ball itself, or the resulting explosion, are subject to blunt force damage and rapid, high heat when the ball explodes that last for only five seconds. The extent of the damage is up to the player, at minimum should cause small bruises, and redness on exposed skin from the heat. Solaris can use this magic up to three times a day.

Reims, Knight of GanymedeHP:100/100 Location: D2 Action: Attacking Targets: Boss Direct Damage: 10 + 8 = 18 Enemy HP: 2,355 /3000 “Don’t worry about it! You’re doing great!” Reims insisted to Dering as he charged back to where the mechanical monster was frozen, having been only slightly caught off guard by the shockwave. Now was the perfect chance to attack. And with Dering using his shielding magic, Reims felt pretty invincible.
Which was probably pretty dangerous, all things considered. He didn’t want Dering to put too much pressure on himself, but he had shield magic, which meant Reims could basically do whatever he wanted, right??
He swung as hard as he could at the arm of the heap of metal, hoping to do something to help destroy it. Quote: When Reims channels his magic, the lust for battle courses through him and his strength is increased, allowing him to hit twice as hard as he normally would. Every time his weapon makes contact, there is an extravagant burst of colorful light from his weapon, as if catching and shattering light even without a light source. The colorful light manifests into glass shards, always directed at his target. There are never more than three at a time, and no larger than his palm, that causes the sensation of moderate to severe lacerations. Players can choose to take lasting damage. His magic pool lasts for 45 seconds.

Character Name and journal link: Sailor Hati of the Cù-sìtheHP: 49/75 Location: c2 Action: Casting Basic Magic Targets: Boss Damage Done: 10 + 3 = 13 Enemy HP: 2,342/3000 Hati made a mental note to thank Dering for casting that big shield magic as the big automaton sent another shockwave through the room. "Moor Stalk!" he roared at the giant thing, sweat pouring down his body now. He'd nearly spent all of his magic at this point. But he had to protect Asmodeus. She was his—he didn't want to say his "everything", but she came so close to that for him. Her words nearly made him freeze, but the adrenaline in his system wouldn't let him just stop paying attention to the fight. He turned back to her, lips parted in shock, and then froze, ice coating his heart when he realized she was reaching inside the engine— It roared and he watched her stumble— Instinctively, he moved forward, meaning to catch her, but she held herself up just fine. She was fine. She wasn't burnt to a crisp, dead, missing her arms— The relief that flooded his system made him completely forget about the fight around him, and he almost dropped to his knees with the weight of his stress just dropping away. She was okay. That was all he needed. Quote: A deafening silence settles over everyone within a ten foot radius. Shortly after the silence falls, a single, deep bark echoes through the area, and suddenly every enemy within the radius feels like they are being watched by a large, dangerous creature. The silence can be disorienting; no matter how loud anything is, while the magic is in effect they cannot hear anything but the bark--and maybe the sound of something heavy breathing just behind them. Paranoia, anxiety and fear for the invisible thread are prominent for the duration of the magic, and may persist for longer if the player desires. This attack affects all enemies within ten feet and lasts for twenty five seconds; it can be used three time per battle.

Dering, Knight of Lysithea HP: 100/100 Location: D2 Action: Using shielding magic (summarized below) Targets: Allies within squares of him (B1-B4, C1-C4, D1-D4, E1-E4, F1-F4) Shielding: ?? Enemy HP: ???
Dering briefly looked down at Lucien and flashed a quick smile. His brows stayed knit, either from worry or the effort of his focus. He mumbled a sheepish word of thanks to the Mauvian but didn’t want to sound too prideful about it.
Reims was equally reassuring, and Dering clung to those words. He adjusted the lute; it wasn’t very comfortable to play in this position, and his fingers felt a bit awkward. He needed to practice more, and there was a brief thought that flickered through his mind that the noise might be annoying or those close to him might not enjoy hearing the same few chords plucked.
Well, it was better than being hit with that hammer, at least. He hoped.
The magic felt strange, like it was thinning a little bit. Maybe he just wasn’t focusing as much as he should have been. He clung to the connection and continued to channel it, intent on squeezing out every last second of safety he could guarantee–especially since Reims had to be so close to strike it.
Quote: Magic TL;DR: Mist appears in a 15 foot radius around him, and ethereal unicorns on the outskirts absorb damage/act as a shield; allies can see through the mist but enemies have a hard time seeing targets within the mist. Magic: Dering begins to pluck at the strings of his lute and a cool mist begins to spread in a fifteen foot radius around him. Hazy shapes begin to manifest in the mist and quickly takes the form of several ethereal unicorns that begin to trot in a circle near the outskirts of the mist. It can be difficult to make out their forms, but the mist swirls around them and the faster Dering plays, the quicker they move. The unicorns do not attack or stray from their path; they protectively encircle Dering and any allies within his radius. These unicorns can block physical attacks his level or lower by taking the blow instead, but higher level attacks will turn the unicorn into mist. Magical attacks will pass through them, but the mist makes it almost impossible to pinpoint where anyone is inside, though allies can see through the mist. Anyone Dering trusts can pass through the circle of unicorns, but everyone else will be blocked by the rushing unicorns. Any contact with them will push someone back unless otherwise plotted; players can choose to take blunt force damage if they like. His magic will move with him, and he can channel his magic for up to 60 seconds.

Lucien - Cat FormHP: 50/50 Location: D2 Action: Attacking boss Targets: Boss Physical Damage: 6 Enemy HP: 2,336/3000 Proud of the young Knight’s efforts, Lucien once more sprinted out under the protection of Dering’s shield magic to attack the machine once more.
“I fear it may be best to retreat for the moment,” he warned Dering as he returned to his ankles. There was no reason immediately jumping out that made it seem there was immediate danger, but he feared an overload of energy if they kept attacking the automaton.
He could see where Amarynthos and Ephesus were standing back. Maybe they were at a safer distance. He certainly hoped so.
Lucien tried curling around Dering’s ankles to coax him away from the danger.
“Reims will be fine,” he promised, knowing the Knight will likely want to hurry over to Dering.

Amarynthos, Knight of the Moon HP: 100/100 Location: F1 Action: Using his summon Targets:Boss Damage Done: 10 + 9 = 19 Enemy HP: 2317/3000
“Ah, I think I’m out,” Amarynthos said, though he’d tried very hard to swing a fourth attack at the automaton. When his staff hadn’t responded, he decided it was probably best to take a different approach. On one hand, he wasn’t sure if his magic would actually have an effect on a giant machine.
On the other hand, he knew a bear would.
He reached for the honeycomb pendant and brushed his thumb over it.
“I don’t think I want to get close enough to it to see if I can find a switch. Maybe that’s what Lucien’s looking for?”
He had good eyes–and, as a Mauvian, he’d probably be best equipped to find something of the sort.
Amarynthos hoped that a bear rushing in to attack the automaton wouldn’t be alarming; he thought his summon was cute–but then, he’d never been the one it was charging at. Thankfully, he didn’t even have to ask it to attack the automaton; it took one look at the thing and charged straight at it, barreling into it and immediately attempting to scrape whatever scraps of metal it could catch claws.
Quote: Summon : A white grizzly bear with pastel tinted fur tips that sometimes glitter with moonlight. Its claws look like moonstone. When summoned, it will lash out with teeth and claws. It will pummel targets with brute force and can roar loudly. Players can choose to avoid damage or take temporary or lasting damage at their discretion; the bear’s primary goal is to intercept and intimidate enemies and it will lash out forcefully to do so.
