Yvoire, Page of Ganymede
Location: Offices - Cubicles
Choice: Attack

Yvoire heard his name being called and, very briefly, thought about stopping to figure out what that was about, because Ganymede was the only one who knew him, and Ganymede wasn’t here. He didn’t recognize the voice, hadn’t recognized any of the faces in the group. If he knew any of them, magic concealed their identities from him, like it had when he first met Ganymede.

Then he saw the person, the one that reeked of unpleasant things, the one steeped in Chaos, who could reach into someone’s chest and destroy so many lives in the process.

Yvoire was aware that others rushed in to attack, knew they were older, and stronger than he was, but he only had eyes for the Captain.

She was a person. She didn’t look anything like the monster that chased him the night he awakened. But the darkness she gave off was similar. Maybe it was her fault, even. Maybe this whole operation was her idea. Maybe she stole starseeds and left families broken.

Yvoire ignored whoever it was that called his name and joined the other two in their attack, wielding the bat aggressively. He wasn’t very good at baseball, but he could swing, and being a Page meant he was stronger. He could hurt her more like this than he would have been able to without the power.

And he wanted to hurt her.

Cynthus, Page of the Moon
Location: Safe
Choice: Box 51

“Ok boomer, no need to be hostile,” Cynthus said, eyeing the cranky adult (Promethei) with her best mean girl scowl.

She was pretty sure he wasn’t actually a boomer, but he definitely gave off the “ugh, the youth” vibes of one, like her generation was the one that was out of touch and entitled. Stirling was right. They were teenagers, not infants. They’d grown up on the internet. They’d definitely seen and heard worse than anything this dude could spout off.

(Cynthus was also incredibly pleased to have another girl around that wasn’t a pushover, even if Stirling being noticeably stronger than her made Cynthus a little jealous. She still offered Stirling a smirk of encouragement, intent on remaining on her good side.)

“Unless it’s Reims bothering you,” she added to Promethei, “in which case, valid.”

Reims was weird, with a chronic case of “trying too hard.”

At least he wasn’t being a d**k.

At the moment, anyway.

Whatever. The safe opened and there was something about a Box 51. Cynthus went searching for said box, certain this had to be the worst bank with the worst security on the planet. Her dad worked in finance. No doubt he’d be horrified.

Reims, Page of Ganymede
Choice: Box 51

Whatever he did, it seemed to work, and he let out a triumphant ‘Aha!’ when the door sounded like it unlocked. Or maybe it was Cynthus poking at it with her stick, he wasn’t sure.

He didn’t think he deserved her comment about him annoying the older man, and gave Cynthus a hurt look, but didn’t make any counter argument about it. It wasn’t the first time he’d heard he was bothering other people and it certainly wouldn’t be the last.

“Notice how he’s the only one with a bat? Overcompensating, probably,” Reims shrugged. He didn’t think they, the children, deserved to be talked down to, but here they were. Stirling and Cynthus were already putting the man in his place, so Reims let them. It was funnier when it was two girls doing it, anyway.

“You’re being really quiet, Dering,” he pointed out as he made his way into the safe so they could look around. He was clinging to the other girl’s hand like a lifeline. “Are you two going out?” Why else would he be holding onto her so tightly? He was pretty sure the matching Moon Knights were dating just by the way they looked at each other, but Dering looked like he wanted to melt into the floor and disappear.

“You know, I bet you have a cute voice--”

Wow, what was he saying? Reims immediately frowned at himself and could feel his ears turning red. “You know. For a boy.”

Somehow that made things worse.

“I’m going to find that safe they were talking about--” Oh, and his voice cracked a little as he turned to quickly figure out where he was going. Not near that Chaos energy.

“Maybe try swinging your bat over there,” Reims directed Promethei with another shrug to change the topic.

Ephesus, Knight of the Moon
Choice: Staying near the front

The older man with them was clearly irritated to be around them. Even though they were only trying to help.

Ephesus visibly flinched when Promethei started cursing at them, and immediately started wringing his hands nervously together. He’d been around enough adults in his life that were violent with their words that he felt incredibly uncomfortable and upset now.

He knew he could be extra sensitive about things like that, but the last person he’d been around who was like this man had tried to have him killed.

But the door was open, and he didn’t care how it happened, but he was quick to make his way over to Amarynthos and reach for his hand, placing himself between Amarynthos and the older knight. This way he wouldn’t have to let his fearful expression betray him to anyone but his fellow Moon Knight, although he didn’t know how successful he was about hiding his body language.

He was grateful that Stirling and Cynthus were there to talk to the man, because he absolutely didn’t want to.

Inside the safe, Ephesus couldn’t help but hold tighter to Amarynthos’ hand, seeming to hesitate about moving closer to the source of whatever Chaos was there. It felt wrong to break into people’s safes, but surely they didn’t need everyone opening a single box, even if he was curious about what was inside.

“Maybe we can stay near the front?” he asked Amarynthos almost pleadingly, but then must have realized how selfish that sounded, especially since Amarynthos was a lot braver than he was. “Or, um… I mean, I can stay here if you want to see what’s in that box the other team was talking about, that’s okay too. I don't mind.”

Squire Tortuga of Jupiter is Take the papers on top of the desk
Location: The Very Nice Office/Left

They were running out of time. He just knew it, Tortuga could only hope that the team who were confronting the Captain that appeared would be able to keep them occupied long enough for his current group to gather some data. A Page (Stromboli) spotted some paperwork that was sketchy at best and lots of flash drives. "I've got some of the paper's," Tortuga said quietly. "Does anyone see anything else we should gather? If the other group can't keep that Captain contained, we might end up with more company than we can handle so the faster we move the better."

Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter
Choice: Office - Not attacking the Captain while there were others in the way, but in the “attack” choice of the two.

No matter what the others suggested -- stealth from a Squire of Saturn (Yomi-no-kuni), auras being dampened by some Senshi that looked like he was half dog (Fang) -- it didn’t matter if she could still teleport and escape. Other than the items they’d used before, he wasn’t fully aware of ways to prevent her from teleporting or alerting the rest of the negaverse.

He didn’t, however, need an angry kid swinging a baseball bat around where others could get hurt in the process.

“Yvoire--” he said again, this time reaching to try and grab the end of the baseball bat before he could start swinging wildly at the Captain. And potentially hit the others.

“I know you’re angry, but have you ever hit someone with a bat before? Hurting people isn’t the same as dusting youma.”

While the Negaverse needed to be dealt with, he didn’t want a young teenager traumatizing himself -- or worse, not being affected by the violence.

Stirling, Squire of Lysithea
Box 51

Oh, the other girl was funny and just as sassy as she felt and Stirling grinned at her, following her towards the box in the back of the safe and continuing to pull Dering with her, torn between laughing and shaking her head at Reims and the insults that Cynthus was throwing but. “Hey, it’s not so valid. At least Reims was the one who first suggested that the Boomer do something…like, that had some merit. Though the spiky croissants…news flash, it’s a unicorn…thing. Like, head horn and two ears? I’m a Squire of Lysithea, and she’s the Senshi of Unicorns and she’s epic.”

Sticking her tongue out at the boy in question, she glanced to Dering, lowering her voice to a whisper. “...You good? You really haven’t said much…if you can’t talk, just squeeze my hand okay! I know I’ve been doing that to you!”

Abzu, Squire of Neptune
Action: getting the vibes and taking paperwork since Stromboli has the flash drives, also maybe some other things off the desk--

That curve to Stromboli's lips brought a twinkle of delight to Abzu's own. "Why would we want to make a mess of an innocent exec's office?"

But, of course, they both knew that whoever owned this office was nothing near innocent. If this person was this deep in whatever this op was, they were at the very least permissive of whatever the Negaverse was up to. And just as Stromboli wasn't actively discouraging him, Abzu was actively leaning right into it. For as friendly and warm he tended to be, there was a reason he got along with people like Safira, too.

A sense of mischief came naturally.

It was why he wasted no time, as Stromboli went for the desk, going for one of the shelving units and snatching one of those bizarre trophies. What did a banker even need a trophy for?

... Did that say maze on it?

He'd inspect that s**t later. For now, Stromboli had found something that seemed fairly critical. "Box 51? That seems important. Can you tell how many tallies there are?" Abzu decided to stop ransacking this office--though perhaps he knocked over a fake plant just for good measure--and rejoin Stromboli at the desk. "We got some Mauvians. Bet they can get into those flash drives if anything..."

For his part? Well.

He'd grab some of those papers. Probably more important than the trophy, but he tucked it under his arm, anyway.

"Just grab as much as you can," he added, to Tortuga. "The flash drives probably have the most info about this op, but whatever we can find out about these assholes in general..."

Promethei, Page of Mercury
Action: checking the other boxes to make sure nothing is missed, but is keeping an eye out for Box 51

Did one of the damn babies call him a boomer? Another one was murmuring about overcompensation, and there was another looking like he was about to s**t himself about the whole thing with the whole hand wringing. Promethei didn't understand why there were damn babies trying to destroy a bank but at that moment he wanted to set himself on fire instead. Where were these kids' guardians--

While he didn't respond directly at the boomer snarking or the directions given by one of the babies, he did eye Ephesus briefly, glance pointedly at Stirling, and gesture once in his direction.

Maybe there had been reasons why he was monitoring himself.

It meant that it was easier to just stop ******** talking than continue to interface with the teenagers, and he decided to take his own approach as a consequence. Box 51 was clearly the most important object in the area if they could find it, but there were a bunch of kids already on that task. Just to make sure nothing was missed, he did glance around the safe to check for anything else.

And if he found Box 51 in the process? Win, he supposed.

Anakeion Squire of Castor

What's-his-name went for the flash drives, so Anakeion grabbed the papers on top of the desk, tucking them under one arm. In theory she could've shoved them in her shirt, but, haha, naaaaah, she wasn't gonna do that in front of people she was fairly sure she respected. Also it'd probably have totally screwed up the mood?

And then, to be petty, she grabbed a knickknack or two. Thank god for subspace, honestly, but even then there were some times she really missed having pockets in this outfit. But she was going to worry about the consequences and meaning of the other fifty-something potential boxes later!! Some other time!! Yipes!! Other priorities at the moment.

"How many of these degrees are, like, even real," she said, casting an eye over the walls. "Some'f them have gotta be fake, right? Who's that driven." It sounded insane to Anakeion, but then again she'd dropped out of college and had no plans to go back, so what did she know about degrees, even. Some! She knew some. But not that much.

Tjilaki, Super Senshi of Icebergs
Action: taking paperwork

Tjilaki nodded at the knight as he talked about blending into the shadows. She liked knights and found them to be fascinating. She felt better knowing that he and others were here with her and everyone. Tjilaki made her way to the left with about four other people.

They entered an office that looked very professional and had a financial-like feel to it. She looked around the room ignoring the knick-knacks and items all around it her eyes fell on the desk. Two things struck out to her. The papers on the desk and the flash drives. She stopped to ponder what to take.

She could take the flash drives but what if they were put there to be taken? What if there was nothing on them? What if there was a virus on them and the negaverse was just waiting for them to be used and they destroyed any computer that they came in contact with?

The stack of papers would be a better choice but, what it they too were empty. Nothing on them?

She made a quick choice and took the papers with her.

Dering, Page of Lysithea
Going with the team to the back/looking for Box 51

Dering hadn’t been here to help rob a bank so it was something of an immense relief when there weren’t stacks of money around. The girls seemed to have a good grip on looking out for the team, and even if he didn’t like the way there seemed to be a bit of tension, he still felt a bit closer to the others his age just because they were there right now.

They’d gotten the door open and Dering was immensely proud of all of them; he’d done nothing so it was easy to appreciate how talented the rest of them were.

Reims had spoken to him and he flushed, and when Stirling spoke he was still on the tail end of all of that. “No, I’m fine,” he assured quickly. “I just didn't have anything to contribute, sorry.”

His voice was probably not very cute and he was sure that Reims knew that by now, and the rest of them too probably.

“You all were just really impressive back there. Um. I just thought it was neat how you were all able to do something to open the door. Sorry, I’ll try to be more helpful now.” He shook his head and tried to focus, and flashed a quick smile as he tried to help locate the box–or at least figure out a way he could do something useful! But he really was impressed by how well they’d worked together to get the keypad to work, and then to get the door open.

The other pages already seemed leagues ahead of him and he really wanted to pull his own weight.

…He was just also totally useless here. But he was learning!

Amarynthos, Knight of the Moon
Choice: Staying near the front

Amarynthos immediately received Ephesus’ hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. He smiled in an effort to reassure him. He knew Ephesus was already stressed enough from the mission, having any sort of tenseness on the team was, of course only going to stack.

“We can stay near the front,” he agreed, even if he was interested in knowing what the Chaos was–and where it was coming from. Stirling was a Squire, though; she was headed back there and he was confident in her capabilities. If they could find something, they would. “We’ll make sure there’s no traps or anything, how’s that?”

He didn’t know what a trap would look like, or if they’d be able to find one, but he was happy to offer the idea to Ephesus as if it were something they could investigate. He wasn’t interested in whatever personal belongings were hidden away here; he supposed there must have been plenty of people who thought this was an actual bank and trusted them with their important belongings. He only cared about stopping the Negaverse, not hurting anyone else.

But, he couldn’t help but notice the tension with their companion and wanted to dispel it.

“Hey, are you okay?” he asked Promethei, because he felt like he was radiating agitation. Amarynthos was polite! But he didn’t appreciate someone picking on Ephesus when he hadn’t done anything wrong. Just because he was quiet and nervous didn’t mean that he was a baby. Who would have been screaming and crying anyway. And Ephesus was a Knight! Clearly he’d been at this for a while.

And they were supposed to be on the same team, so there was no reason to want to butt heads.

“You seem kind of tense. Everything’s going to work out here, it’ll be fine,” he reassured Promethei even as he stroked Ephesus’ hand.

This guy didn’t have to come this way with them so Amarynthos figured he must have something else going on if he was going to be so ornery. He thought he was in good company, and all and all things had been going pretty smoothly so far.

He smiled gain at Ephesus and tried to fish around and make sure nothing Negaverse-related was hidden near the front.

Illyria
Action: "Ignoring and Searching for evidence" (only because if she went into attack, she could get trod on by accident)

Illyria saw the Captain's surprised expression. Illyria also saw Fang rush the woman when it looked like she was going to attempt to call out. Illyria also felt Ida tense and almost instinctively knew that her senshi was going to join Fang. If not in complete attack ... then at least in trying to contain the situation. Two other individuals had moved towards the Captain and with that Illyria figured that those that were "attacking" would be able to handle the lone agent. The small Mauvian leapt free of her perch on Ida's shoulder before skulking away from the 'melee' that was taking place. Her small stature in this form meant that it would have been easier to get underfoot and Illyria really didn't feel like being stepped on, even if it was an accident.

Using the time that the others were engaged with the enemy did Illyria start to slink around the room, her keen gaze flicking to all the possible hiding locations in which things could be stored. She continued to keep all her senses on alert, especially the one that told her if Ida was going to need her.

Yomi-no-kuni, Squire of Saturn
Action: Ignore her and focus on trying to find evidence in the room

Yomi summoned his weapon ready to attack the Captain but he was beat to the punch by a number of his group. With so many already dealing with the Negaverse officer they didn't need any more help subduing her. He hoped for her sake she wouldn't be foolish enough to try to fight back. She was severely out gunned here.

Leaving the Captain to the others he began searching the room, he hoped to find any evidence that would illuminate what was going on here.

Alastor, Eternal Senshi of Despair
Ignoring the Captain and focusing on trying to find evidence in the room

There were a cluster of people already swarming the Captain; Alastor didn’t think she really had a chance. He could have gone to help but he was certain that he would just be a body in the way at this point. There were several Senshi that he saw over there now–at least an Eternal.

Sessrumnir was more interested in making sure the kid didn’t get hurt, or hurt someone else, so he must have determined that the others were doing a decent enough job with the Captain–however they were choosing to deal with her.

Alastor didn’t want to crowd Yvoire. He didn’t know why he was angry. He knew that Sessrumnir could handle it. He didn't want to scare the kid by crowding him when things were already so hectic.

He didn’t have it in him to stand around and do nothing, so he was determined to do what they’d come here for. He stayed close to Sessrumnir, just in case something happened, but he tried to search the room nearby to see if there was anything of value.
