The next day, and Aerona was out again with Sophitia. She'd had a very successful day yesterday, but her vim had taken a hit.
"I think I saw a seadweller go this way..." Aerona mumbled. It was hard to tell in the dark water, and frankly it was unnerving. Seeing any amount of purple and glitter sparkle past in the water was enough to send any landdweller into a bit of a worried state. She took a deep breath and resolved to go back out. "You ready for another go, mum?"
Sophitia chattered delicately. Aerona was curled up inside the creaky boat. "Are you sure you don't want to just go back to the city?" Sophitia asked.
Aerona sighed and pressed her forehead into her knees. "Mmmmnnnno!"
She tightened her grip. She'd win, dang it. She'd do it for the redbloods. "Let's go... Over there!"
To where the seadweller had gone. In an effort to prove herself worthy, she'd chosen the most dangerous path. Aerona felt a tug as her lusus plunged, and the boat made its way to the first zone. It wasn't far down this time, and soon Sophitia had secured the first chunk.
Soon, she brought up a second. "Wow, that fish really didn't get all of the goods down there, did they?" Aerona mused. She settled down with it between her legs and laughed. "Guess they can't carry and swim at the same time!"
The third part surfaced. Aerona gave Sophitia a pat on the head and looked up at the clouds. A beautiful night sky. She hated going back to the city where the skies would be lessened by the night lights, but it was a risk she'd have to take to come out on top.

I forgot to roll but you bet your boots she's gonna blow up that place again.
My name is: Forera Serpen I am in team: Tealbloods I am searching area(s): One, two, three!
Forera was starting to get used to the skin tight feel of the wetsuit. It was a little worrisome, what with her new robot arm and Muerte's specific instructions not to enter water, but oh well, ******** it, you only live once and all that jazz. As she navigated through the deep waters, the tealblooded female slipped through the waters wearily, careful as to not get caught the closer she wandered to another troll's stash of items. She inched closer, hand sorta... reaching out slightly before clasping over their item and eyeing it curiously. Maybe she could'a pocketed this one, before she wrecked s**t? Hmmm, maybe. It was so nice. As she crawled out she kicked a few of the treasures the other troll won and quickly swam away. Hell, she'd definitely done good.

My name is: Vremea Everai I am in team: Yellowbloods I am searching area(s): Four, three, one.
Vremea actually quite liked swimming. In the past, she'd like to visit Old Hemisect for the simple reason of swimming in the ocean, but after she saw a purpleblood down there once, she decided to never go swim there ever again. Of course, that promise was broken during the war, but now that Old Hemisect was now Civisect, the place had been spiffied up quite a lot. Vremea jumped in and dove deep underwater, enjoying the lightweight feeling of swimming. Sometimes she wished she could breathe underwater. Other times, she was glad she wasn't one of those stupid entitled purplebloods. She carefully swam deeper, grabbing onto a few antiques before sliding a hand to hold them better. She swam up, finally finished, powerful legs taking her straight up. When she finally arrived, she placed them all on the ground tiredly.

The team of expert trolls sort through the spoils found and declare that everything from area ONE is worth only TWO points, everything from area TWO is worth a measly ONE point, all objects dredged up from area THREE are worth THREE points yet again, and the useless antiques from are FOUR are to be worth ONE points. One of the experts remarks nastily that his Lusus could do a better job, and it has no appendages for grabbing and lifting. Oh the shame.
Some objects are damaged, notably everything Forera and Vremea brought in. Why, the latter's items were so wrecked that she only received one point, which was given with a deep look of pity. Sources say that Hazmas, Alifax, Aerona and Forera were all seen behaving suspiciously while out on the water. Perhaps it would be better to avoid places these trolls have stopped by in the future.

Aerona got out plenty early this night. Her tactics seemed to be working well enough - strike quickly and get out of dodge to let the others eat her dust. She was gaining confidence now. Especially since the experts seemed to agree that her finds were top notch.
Sophitia, meanwhile, was finding it hard to find footing in the murky trench. As they searched in the deeper areas the rope stretched and made her wiggle her legs to swim, rather than preen the grounds. She strained to reach the silt underneath, and finally tugged on the line to reach it. On the surface, the boat rocked. Aerona clutched the sides fearfully. "Moooom!" She cried.
But Sophitia was far too deep to hear. She tried to regulate her breathing, hoping the rocking would be done soon.
Finally, her lusus resurfaced. "Thank gog," Aerona chirped. She put the piece in the boat and sighed as Sophitia dove again.
Sophitia tugged a piece of metal from the underwater rift's algae covered wall. It could have been a wing, or something! She recognized the curvature of the chunk, and a few bubbles escaped from her maw as she "smiled". She fluttered back up to the surface to deliver the goods.
Her third dive was much quicker. A little doo-hicky at the bottom of the rift caught her attention. Shiny! She thought it might not have been as useful as something like an engine part or a bit of the navigational systems, but it sure was pretty. She brought it up to the surface.
Aerona smiled with relief, and the two headed off soon after their sabotage. Good riddance.

My name is: Klymen Carcha I am in team: Purple I am searching area(s): One, Three twice
Diving in once again, Klymen found herself deeply taking a look for what she could find. She wanted to be the best, to bring up what she could, and after digging around, she finally found something in the area to take along with her.
The next area she spent more time in, making sure she didn't miss anything as she picked up pieces to take along with her. Her mind was completely focused on the task, although she did enjoy the swimming she was doing. It felt nice, in her natural element. Finally, after she was sure she got what she could, she went back up.

Anguis was ready to search again and rather excited too! Gearing up, he dove back into the water, excitedly looking for anything of value. Dragondad swam around, keeping an eye on his charge as he looked through the area, focusing so deeply on it that when it was time to go up he hadn't looked anywhere else.

My name is: Athene Bramma I am in team: Green I am searching area(s): One, all times
Athene decided to go again, helping her team was important after all! Suiting up, she took a deep breath before diving into the water and taking a look around at the area she came upon. A little more wary than usual, she decided to stay over here, making sure to carefully look and pick up all that she could find that looked of value.
My name is: Luxara Seleni I am in team: Green I am searching area(s): 4 (all tries)
She still had a top score! Heck yeah! Looked like either she had great methods, or Luxara was very lucky these past couple of nights. Word on the street was that some trolls were acting a little...less than stellar about the competition. Forera, from what she heard, was one of the accused. Hmm. Luxara didn't want to believe it, but at the same time, her biffle could be pretty rowdy. The greenblood supposed she'd just have to ask later when they were both at the booth. Or maybe when they headed back to the hotel for the night. Who knows! She had plenty of opportunity to figure out this mystery.
Taking that same boat out to the designated zone, she decided to yet again play it somewhat safe. Not going toooo far out, especially into possibly-choppier waters, Luxara cast her net and with each haul (one, two, threeee), pawed through the collection of boot-like junk, brine, and general crusty underwater stuff until she found some decent possibly-metal-hopefully items to take back to shore.

My name is: Reemus Grroou I am in team: Yellow I am searching area(s): 3, 2, 1
The new diving area sure was interesting! While the last one had been a column of reef, this time they were searching through what might as well be an underwater hallway. There were walls and everything! Reemus glubbed in wonder through his snorkel. But there wasn't time to see the sights! He had to start searching for scrap metal! He floundered his way down to the reef floor and started pawing about. There was a lot of colorful stuff down here! He wanted to touch all of it! ...Except the prickly urchins. Even he knew better than that. Touching wildlife wouldn't help him with his mission, though! Reemus shook his head, trying to focus. Let's see here... Ah, something was poking out from under an anemone! It looked like...an antenna, maybe? He pulled it out of the sea bed, trying not to get shocked, and swam back up to deliver it.
Like the second night of Bloodfest, Reemus searched about in more than one place. How could anyone confine themselves like that when there was so much to explore? And it burned off some of his lingering sugar rush! Win-win. There seemed to be a large sheet of metal attached near the wall, and after a long, hard bout of yanking, the muttard pulled it out. He floated up to the surface to drop it off before one more go for the night.
Poking through some kelp, he seemed to find something that looked...vaguely like a desk lamp? What? No way. That would be a weird thing to find underwater! Well, whatever it was, he found it interesting enough to take back on up with him as the last haul.
My name is: Keionx I am in team: Orange I am searching area(s): Area 1, Area 1, Area 4
Keionx went right for the rental sub today, having learned her lesson from before. She'd been hearing rumors of sabotage and, while she'd seen her fellow troll do such nefarious things on her previous dives, she refused to believe it. How could anybody be so callous, so reckless, so cruel?
Not her.
But it was becoming ever clearer, as her long repressed sanity finally got a hold of things, that a land where friends defend one another to the end was wholly fantastical. The average troll was out for themselves, and cared nothing for others.
Keionx knew she did not think like that at all... but she was not average - she was insane. It was the only explanation.
In light of the sabotage, she was extra careful with today's dive, checking around her for traps and treasure alike and thoroughly checking anything she picked up for damage or boobytraps.
Today's searching spot was a gully of sorts, a long chasm whos desolate length was scattered throughout with sunbeams and rubble. Not far away, she could see one of the claimed offending trolls puttering around, and she kept one of her subcams – one of two operational ones – on her.
Finally, she puttered around to a different area, in the interests of varying her catch and, also, because she simply did not trust the other trolls around her. The absence of trust hurt, like a physical blow.
She trawled around the far side of the chasm's length for a while, glumly poking rocks and picking up treasures and generally not enjoying the adventure much at all anymore. Still, she knew she would be back when she disembarked her sub and turned in her treasures... something about the search continued to call her.
But first... Keionx turned to the booths.
But first she needed to be in the presence of some real heroes.
