Reunited in Aisko

Tallulah was walking along, his new orb in his mouth, his bright eyes scanning back and forth for any sort of possible danger or better yet some sort of clue that might lead him to where the Diabi Drakein might be at the moment. Thus far he'd come across no messy, bloody areas that spoke of the presence of Eyphah but he was certain that if he kept looking that he would find something. Eyphah said that he was going to Aisko and Tallulah was certain that he was here. All he had to do was figure out where exactly he was now that he was here himself... and give that he'd gotten himself one of the pretty Aiskala orbs he felt a lot better meeting up with his powerful friend as well. It would have been rather embarrassing to go to the Diabi empty handed given that Tallulah was more then certain that the Drakein likely had a whole mass of these pretty orbs by now. He just hoped that he hadn't fallen so far behind in his training that Eyphah would scold him.

Tallulah paused mid step when he would have sworn that he heard Eyphah's voice calling out his name, something that made the Merkein sigh a little bit, "I think that maybe I am getting too attached to him." He murmured to himself, not liking the fact that he might be hearing things now due to the fact that he had been searching for so long without much in the way of luck. Had the Diabi waited for him already? What if he had decided that Tallulah wasn't coming and moved on to... well, wherever it was that he would be going next so that he could begin his hunts anew. He couldn't really say that he liked the idea, not in the least bit, but at the same time he really didn't think that Eyphah would do that. Sure, the Diabi weren't the nicest clan in the world but Eyphah was different, he was special, he'd been raised by a clan of Gaili in fact so he was in many ways even more special due to that. He wouldn't just leave because Tallulah was a little bit late, of that the Merkein was certain!

Tallulah found himself dragged out of these thoughts when he heard his name again, this time louder and from right over head. It was something that caused him to jerk his head up, starring with wide eyes up at the Diabi that was hovering over head, "Eyphah!" He squeaked out, his words a little garbled by the fact that he had an orb in his mouth. He was quick to spit it out into his forefoot before he called out to him again, "Eyphah! There you are! I've been looking everywhere!" He said, rushing over to the Diabi the moment that he landed so that he could happily, thought carefully, nuzzle against his spiky friend. It had been far, far too long if you asked Tallulah and he wanted nothing more then to curl up with his friend somewhere warm so that they could chat about everything that had happened since they'd parted ways some time ago in Eowyn.

Eyphah starred down at the cuddly, purring Merkein, then gave a bit of a chuckle, "You've been looking everywhere, huh? Funny since I have been doing the same." How the two of them had managed to completely fail at finding each other for a while despite both of them looking for the other was a bit amusing to the Diabi, "No matter, we found each other now and we can see about catching up, what do you say?" He murmured, glancing back and forth to make sure that nobody was around before he nuzzled Tallulah back. He wasn't the sort that did a whole lot in the way of affection, especially not where anyone might see, but he supposed that in the middle of the frozen lands of Aisko there would likely be very few people watching the two of them as they greeted one another. He could allow for a bit of friendliness for the moment so long as Tallulah didn't get too accustom to it.

"Come on, I found a cave, it should be big enough for the two of us to squeeze into and it should be a lot warmer in there then out here." He said, motioning for Tallulah to follow him. There was so much to talk about he thought to himself. He wanted to know all about Tallulah's journey into the ocean, how his battles against the Peisio Dragons had gone, how many orbs he'd collected while they were apart, and if the one he had in his forefoot was the first of what Eyphah hoped would be many Aiskala orbs that the Merkein meant to gather for himself, "We have a lot to discuss! I have been patiently waiting for you in fact even though I feel like I should be out hunting down the Celestial Dragon himself at the moment." The Blood Moon had put him in such a wild mood that even that, which was probably the worst idea in the world, seemed to be a good plan at the moment. He really should try to find a better way to distract himself... and if there was anything he could distract himself with at the moment it was Tallulah.

Maybe he could take charge of his training again, tell him where to find a lot of Aiskala, how best to fight them, and otherwise cheer him on when it came to fights in Aisko. If they went about it that way then they could possibly leave together once Tallulah was ready since Eyphah himself was more then ready to leave this too icy, too quiet, too boring land behind and return home to Eowyn. He was going to have to speak with his mother after all, plan out his next step as far as his journey was involved, pack all his orbs up, and be off to... well, where ever it was that he needed to go to become a Drakeinian, "Here we are, my humble abode." He said, motioning to Tallulah to head inside first.

Tallulah peeked into the entrance of the icy gave then gave a smile, "Looks good, better then staying out here that's for sure." He said before he headed inside, so glad to be back with his good friend and teacher. While the trip home had been well and good he was far happier to be back with Eyphah for reasons he didn't understand. He moved to settled down in the dug up area of earth, leaving enough room for Eyphah, and once the Diabi joined him the two of them started to chat, catching up on everything that they had missed during their time apart. Sure, it wasn't that long, it just felt like ages was all, and the there seemed to be so much ground to cover between the various hunts they'd been on, orbs they'd collected, things they'd seen, others they had met, and what their future plans were from here. In fact it wasn't until late into the night that the two of them seemed to finally finish up and decided that rest was in order before Tallulah's training began anew in the morning.

A Bloodied Diabi

Tallulah was playing with the adorable little hatchlings of the clan that he was staying with when he first caught the scent on the wind, that of blood. It was heavy, meaning there was a lot of it... and it was a scent that was too familiar to Tallulah, he'd smelled it before. He looked from side to side, breathed in deeply, then looked down to the little keinling, "Wait here." He said, giving them each a little nuzzle before he rushed forward, toward the scent of blood. The scent was far too thick, it meant that the one that was bleeding was doing so heavily, something that terrified Tallulah to his very core. Why... what had happened? Eyphah had left with his orbs vowing to come back more powerful then ever but now he was injured? Had the ritual not gone accordingly?

The moment he spotted the Diabi Drakein he gave a cry of shock, watching the manner in which Eyphah crash landed in the sand before forcing himself to his feet, his eyes wild, snarling as he went. He was trying to get home to his clan, that much was certain, but if he would make it, that was the question. Quickening his pace the Peisio Merkein closed the ground between then, gathering power to him as he did so, preparing a spell. The moment he was close he shifted himself so that he could catch the snarling Diabi against him, carefully, not wanting to rough him up anymore then he already was. Looking at the bleeding Diabi Tallulah gave a soft sound in his throat, "Eyphah... I have you, hold on..." He said in what he hoped was a soothing tone of voice before he cast the first spell, this one able to heal him though only to a degree. He gathered his strength, casting a second time, this time at least able to heal the wounds over that Eyphah had been given, stopping the bleeding.

Eyphah gave a rumbling sound in his throat before his weight collapsed more fully on Tallulah. His eyes sank half closed and he went still, seemingly realizing that he was safe at the moment. No reason to fight any longer, he'd made it back, he was in the protective grasp of Tallulah and he was able to see others coming their way, his mother among them. Only when he saw her did the last bit of his raging adrenaline seem to fade away and he was out.

A cry escaped from the large Gaili Drakein as she saw her son in such a state, quickening her pace, "Ah! Eyphah?! Is he alright? Is he dead?" She demanded of Tallulah before leaning in close, sniffing at him, "Ahh... what is this...? Aiskala? In Eowyn...?" That made no sense at all, why would they be here? Wasn't it too hot here for those ice crawlers? The mere thought that they had dared to come here to Eowyn to attack her son, if that were the case she would see to their wholesale slaughter she thought to herself darkly before she moved to pick her son up with her tail, laying his limp form over her back, "We are going back to out clan home, gather everyone!" She called out to those around them before her dark eyes were back on Tallulah, "Come, Tallulah, you will work on healing my son. It is up to you." She said before the entire group was on the move, abandoning where they hanging out toward a more mountainous area, a place where they would be able to go into their caves and stay safe and out of sight. If they were in fact under attack by those ice crawlers they would need to be ready for it.

Tallulah gave a nod of his head, looking between Eyphah and the blood that was soaking into the sand. He had no idea what had done this but whatever it was it was powerful... something that intimidated him just thinking about it. When he was given the task of healing Eyphah he had only nodded, it was something that he would have done regardless, even if it exhausted him completely. He would use all of his power to make sure that Eyphah was made whole again he thought to himself, hurrying to keep up with the Drakein Clan as they made their way toward the safety of the caves. He hoped that the got their quickly as he wanted to set to casting another spell on his teacher to help him more. He'd dragged him back from the brink but he felt that there was still more that he could do to make sure that he didn't wake up to find himself crippled by whatever had attacked him. No, Tallulah wouldn't allow that to happen! He would save his friend no matter what!

Eating Fish with Tallulah

Two large, tasty Erlkin were what Eyphah would wake to when he finally came to. They were sitting nearby, their scent tantalizing to his senses, but he couldn't quite reach them even when he reached out a clawed forefoot toward them. Damn but he wanted those fish he thought to himself in a somewhat dazed manner. He snapped his jaws at the fish, as though beckoning them to flop their way into his mouth, before he gave up and just grumbled instead. Stupid fish, didn't they know their place! The place that was in his mouth! It took him a moment to really focus passed the closest fish and he saw Tallulah there. The pretty colored Merkora was tearing one of the fish apart into smaller pieces, even going through the trouble of removing the bones, and for a moment he wondered why. Why go through so much trouble for something that he knew anyone could just chomp their way through? Didn't the sea dwelling Merkora subsist mostly on fishy things?

It was as Tallulah picked up the pile of fish carefully in his jaws, bringing it over to Eyphah, that the Diabi realized that the well prepared fish wasn't for Tallulah, it was for him. The sea goer had fetched and prepared fish for him? It was something that he would probably need to thank him for, huh? It was one of those things that he at times had a hard time dealing with but this time would be rather easy, wouldn't it? Especially since he knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that Tallulah had mostly likely been the one to save his life. It wasn't only just the fish but before that too. He looked up at the Peisio as he came closer and said, "Seems we are... even now... huh?" His voice felt so hoarse and gravely, a sound that indicated that he had been out for some time.

Tallulah gave a bit of a jump, nearly dropping the fish, before turning to look at his teacher. After what he'd said seemed to filter in he gave a bit of a smile, "Yes, it would seem so." He murmured, tail swishing behind him, "I was so worried... I'm glad that you are awake, Eyphah." He set the fish down carefully within the Diabi's reach before asking, "Are you able to eat it? Should I help to feed you?" He would do whatever was needed to make sure that the Diabi pulled through and not just because the clan leader, as well as the clan itself was breathing down his neck a bit. No reason to worry too hard on all of that, not when he'd of put his all into healing Eyphah even without all of the 'encouragement' as it were.

There was a moment where it appeared as though Eyphah were debating over the options given to him before he finally said, "I think I will be able to do it myself." He knew that he was exhausted, even though he felt as though he'd been sleeping forever, but he wasn't going to let that drag him down. No, he had to do this, at to feed himself, to regain his strength! This fish, a most wonderful and unexpected gift, would be the first step toward that. Leaning in his opened his mouth and closed it around a mass of the sweet, fresh Erlkin, lifted it up and tilted his head so that he could swallow it down. No reason to bother with chewing, not when Tallulah had so helpfully removed the bones from the meat. There was no reason not to just gulp it down as quickly as possible... well, save for the threat of choking. That was really the only thing that stopped him from trying to swallow it all down in one bite. Instead he forced himself to take it slowly for now.

"Seeing you eat is a good sign. The fish will help you to get stronger and regain your strength in a way that my magic is unable to do." He told the Diabi, knowing that there were just some things that had to be done the natural way, one of those things being recuperation after such awful wounds, "Ahhh... Eyphah, if you don't mind me asking... what happened?" Those wounds were so strange and he just couldn't really figure out what had caused them. They were beyond anything that he knew personally.

Eyphah paused a moment, starring down at the fish, teeth gritting, eyes narrowing, before he spat out in a hostile tone, "A two-legged wench attacked me! I was just trying to get some food and she stabbed me in the back! Vile creature, I swear I will make a stew of her one day!" Shaking his head he went back to gulping down the fish, crunching down on it now as though imagining it was the pink haired female that he was chewing up instead of fish.

Tallulah gave a slight wince before he leaned in, giving Eyphah a little nuzzle,"I am glad she didn't finish you off." He murmured, having been so worried about Eyphah for so long. The idea that a two-legged female was wandering around attacking their kind wasn't something that sat well with him. They would need to be more careful, keep their guard up, and not go too close to that sort if they were going to be so violently dangerous toward the other species of the world. It was no wonder a lot of their kind seemed to hate the two-legs so much. Tallulah never really had much in the way of contact with them but after this incident he couldn't say that he ever wanted to really get close to them if this was what htey were like. Best that he avoid those sorts if he wanted to continue on in the world unheeded and unharmed.

Turning his attention back to Eyphah instead of fretting over the dangerous female he said, "There is another fish if you want me to tear it up for you." He offered, then added, "Once you are done eating you should probably get more rest. It's good that you are up and coherent but I don't think that you are good to go quite yet." He would much rather that he stay resting for a good time yet, whether or no the Diabi actually did so though, that was the question.

Turning to give Tallulah a glance Eyphah finally said, "I will eat all the fish you have to offer, Tallulah, and if rest if what you suggest I suppose I can do that." As much as he didn't really want to lay around anymore then he knew he already had. Still, even just eating was exhausting to best that he listen to his healer, for now at least. Two Erlkin later and the Diabi was once more snoozing away with Tallulah looking after him, leaving only once to update Eyphah's mother on his progress before swiftly returning to his side.

Meeting with Mother

Tallulah felt as though he were close to where he had to be to actually go forth to become Merkorian... and after the meetings with two of his fellow Orakovan he was feeling as though his courage was bolstered for the first step in what he was going to face. The first thing, of course, being that he had to go to visit with his mother. He wanted to see her, to talk to her, and to gather his orbs that he'd hidden beneath the waves where he felt that they would be safest since he didn't have a lair like what Eyphah had when ti came to hiding things that he didn't want to be stolen. It had been some time since he'd been home, he ended up a touch distracted by... well, so many things. The thing that seemed to distract him most being Eyphah, when his teacher had been hurt nothing else had been on his mind save for helping him to get better. That had caused his normally scheduled trips homes to cease, something he was sure to be scolded for. Still, it really was time.

Pushing up to his feet Tallulah trotted toward the salty water that he had been watching for a while, diving on in, and instantly he was heading away from the shore, toward the colorful coral reefs where his tribe made their homes at. It really was a lovely place, the sort of place that he would love to show Eyphah... were it not for the fact that the Diabi was unable to breath underwater. It was a shame really, he'd like him to see all the beauty that was down here. Not that he felt his teacher was exactly the sort of go sight seeing, not unless it involved some battles and good treasure... though both were easy enough to find under the water's surface. The creatures down here were something to see after all, many of them more dangerous then anything that walked upon the land. If he could figure out a way to bring the Diabi down here he'd be only too happy to hunt with him down here. It would be a bit amusing to see him flailing about though. He couldn't say that Khehora were exactly built for swimming, just as Tallulah wasn't built for flying.

The moment that he passed into his mother's territory he knew it, already he spotting those he knew, smiling when he spotted those who seemed to have had grown some since his visit. Everyone was getting so big he thought to himself, giving a little sigh before he looked passed all of them toward the direction he was headed, toward the reef that was his mother's favorite nest, and went wide eyed when he saw here treading water there, waiting for him. He was quick to rush over to her, "Mother!" It really had been far too long he thought to himself a moment before she was embracing him tightly, something that caused him to flush a bit, "Ahh... mother... you're embarrassing me..." He muttered, able to hear the little baby giggling over him getting hugs at his age and size.

The big female chuckled, giving him a sharp pat on the back, "Don't be shy, Tallulah. Instead how about you come with me and tell me where you have been so long. I know you enjoy your time on land but I think I am starting to get jealous over whatever has your attention up there." She scolded him.

The words caused his cheeks to color that much more before he gave her a smile, "Of course, Mother, I have so much I want to talk to you about, so many important things. Some advice would be nice too." He said, moving to swim alongside the powerful clan leader, eager to tell her what he was planning to do after this visit, first things first though, he'd tell her everything that had happened between this moment and his last visit. He didn't want her to think that he was avoiding the ocean or anything, he'd just been busy was all. Once they found a place within the coral to settle down he started to talk, filling her in on all the details of what had transpired of late. The good and the not so good, he wanted for his mother to know it all.
