If there was one thing that always cheered Grrel up, it was food and the prospect of new and tasty food! She stood up and shook the sand from her scales. "Now I feel like fishing!" She said with a huge grin. "I can hold my breath for a while, but I'll have to come back to the surface to breath a lot." Her tail lashing in anticipation at the thought of doing something new. Why had it never occurred to her to go diving for food? Her magic would be doubly effective under the water! Though, she thought, I'll have to be careful so that it doesn't hit Tal. "How do we fish or hunt in the ocean?"

There was a moment where Tallulah couldn't help but to smile, rather liking the idea of getting to hunt with someone in the water. It wasn't something that he'd really been able to do with anyone that wasn't a part of his clan before so this should be fun! His tail set to rapidly swishing behind him before he said, "Being able to hold your breath will help a lot as far as hunting goes. Do we want to start out in the shallows first? Maybe see if we can't spot something tasty that comes closer to shore?" He didn't want to race headlong into deep water after all, not with someone that seemed to be uncertain about how one was supposed to hunt in the ocean. It might lead to all manner of problems.
When she asked him how they were to fish or hunt in the ocean he tilted his head, seeming to think on a good way to go about it, "Maybe... I will use my magic to drag them in and then you can finish them off?" He suggested, he was getting good at entangling things with his water magic these days so it could be a good way to go about it. He gave her a thoughtful look before he said, "Though perhaps you should use your claws and teeth? Your sort of magic might very well cause us some damage if we use it in the water." He'd seen her powers before and while impressive they didn't mix well with water. Best that they only used those if the desperate need arose and even then if they were lucky neither of them would be in the water when she used her magic to strike down whatever they were fishing for.
"Shall we wade on in and see what we can see?" He asked of her, more then ready to go diving back into the ocean since it was where he'd originally come from. It would be fun to get back into the swing of things, or perhaps the swim of things would be more appropriate? A thought that caused him to chuckle to himself before he set to splashing into the water, eager to get the hunt underway!

She thought for a moment; as much fun as diving in really deep sounded, Tal was probably right about starting in the shallows. "Sure, we can try shallows until I get used to swimming." She walked to the waters edge and watched the waves slide up to the shore. Besides, hadn't she heard something about the tides being really strong in the deeper parts and they could pull one down? Or was she mis-remembering? Grrel shook her head; whichever it was, she'd find out! Grrel sighed and nodded. "True, the water does cause my lightning to affect a much larger area than I intend it too. I won't use it unless I'm really in danger. And you bringing something in to fight would probably be easiest. And lead on!" She chirped happily, feeling better than she had in a while. Her sun warmed scales felt wonderful as the cool water slid across them. So how shallow was shallow to Tal? She wondered as she wadded deeper into the water until she was floating in the water, her wings tucked tightly to her sides and tail weaving slowly to help maneuver her. She ducked her head under the water, keeping the inner eyelid closed to keep the salty water out but still enabling her to see. Below her the blue world of the sea lay; small colorful fish darting between strange and odd plants that swayed in the currents. She tried a small dive to see how she could move beneath the water. It was difficult at first, until she stopped using her feet and concentrated on acting like a snake. That was faster, though a bit harder on her muscles. She surfaced and splashed about happily, this was fun! 408/1200

Tallulah waded into the water along with Grrel. He gave her a glance before he went under the water, looking around for something that they could hunt. There were so many different creatures that could be found underwater, most of them quite tasty, though at first glance he didn't see anything of a really manageable size, huh? Looking around he saw a pair of rather large, dark blue, and very delicious creatures that were known as Kokkolru. He gave them a long look before surfacing again. Turning to look over at Grrel he said, "I see some Kokkolru, do you want to try to hunt some of those? They are quite delicious!" He asked of Grrel, tail swishing back and forth, slowly though since it was underwater.
Turning back in the direction that he'd seen their possible prey in he watched that area, waiting to see if they surfaced or not. These creatures were normally found in deep water but given that everything was much warmer in this area it brought them closer to the surface. That was something that would make it a lot easier as far as hunting went since Grrel was a land dwelling Khehora. He had to think about her, what she was able to do, and at the same time what he was able to do. He'd make sure that he'd make that whatever they had the advantage against these creatures if Grrel decided that she wanted to battle it out with them.
"Let me know if you want to try to battle the Kokkolru. If you do I will see about trying to grab one of them to drag over here where we will be able to battle them more easily." He said, gathering magical energy, preparing to strike when his fellow hunter gave the word.

Grrel looked at Tal as he surfaced. “Sure! No clue what they are but if you say they are tasty than let’s do it!” She said with a grin as she gathered more air into her lungs and dove after him. She spotted the creatures below them after a bit. The dark blue scales helped them blend in, though not too much as their sheer size made them stand out! There was certainly enough meat on them to feed both her and Tal. She slithered through the water to get a bit deeper so her companion didn’t have to bring one up too far. Plus the closer tot eh surface they were, the longer it’d take the second one to reach them. Tal’s probably going to find this rather easy, she thought with amusement. Me? This feels worse than my first Firani hunt! In nervousness at least. Hopefully I don’t make a fool out of myself in this battle.. 567/1200

Tallulah nodded his head before he set to work casting his spells, using it to entangle one of the creatures. After a moment it started to drag the massive beast toward where the two of them were waiting. As though sensing something was wrong the second of the large, blue beasts followed along after its ensnared ally. It would make things a little more complicated, having two of them, they were large after all, but e felt that the two of them would be able to deal with the creatures if they were careful about it! His tail swished behind him before he looked over at Grrel, nodding to her before he pushed up to the surface. At the same time that he surfaced the first Kokkolu surfaced a moments later another behind it. He gave a bit of a grin, "Alright there, they are. Shall we?" He asked, glancing over Grrel, wanting to make sure that he was ready before they attacked together.

Grrel circled about as Tal brought the Kokkolu to the surface. They were big fish! I bet the taste delicious! She thought with a grin. "Let's do this!" She crowed happily before swimming towards them. The fish turned ponderously towards Grrel and Tal as they closed in one them. Grrel 's tail fanned from side to side with powerful strokes, thrusting her forward to bite the first one on the ... neck. It was above the fins and below the head, so it must be the neck, she thought to herself, right? As she gripped and bit down, she noticed the gills and a thought occurred to her. Fish couldn't breath air.. so what would happen if she blew a whole bunch of bubbles into those gills? Clawing her way up the thrashing fish's side, she reached the gills and let loose about half her lungful of air. The fish rolled over and thrashed even more strongly and Grrel found herself tossed aside as the flesh her claws were gripping tore from the force of the thrashing. She hurriedly swam to the surface to grab another lungful before diving to see what Tal and the other fish were doing. 766/1200

When Grrel announced that they 'Let's do this' he gave a happy nod of his head, "Let's." He said before he set to work on another spell. It was a little difficult what he was going for, but if he could get a really good wave going he'd be able to toss the two giant fish out of the water where they would be able to take them more easily. Moving that much water would take a lot in the way of concentration though. He should have time though given that it looked as though Grrel was keeping at least one of the large fish busy. Her messing with the one also distracted the other, leaving the open for attack! He just had to concentrate, come on water, obey me he thought to himself as more and more blue energy swirled around him and the water started to churn a bit further out into the ocean. When it finally seemed as tough the attack were ready he rushed over to Grrel, "Hold on, this might get a bit bumpy." He said before wrapping a sphere of water around the two of them, making a bit of a barrier around them. Just in time too as the big waved he'd summoned was suddenly upon all over them. It crashed down, pushing the two Kokkolu along along with the globe the two of them were in, up passed the shoreline a pretty good distance onto the beach. It was better then Tallulah could have hoped for! As the water receeded, leaving the first beached, the bubble they were in popped dropping them back to their feet, "Awesome! Let's see about finishing them off and we will have a tasty meal that will last up a while!" He could see about even bringing Eyphah and the clan here to eat, a good tribute to the clan's matriach since even now she intimidated Tallulah like nothing else could.

Orpheus Solon Since Grrel killed these two, you get to kill the next two! (or get the final blow in!) Grrel grinned as the wave rolled her and Tal plus the fish onto the beach, it was almost like being blown about by a really strong wind... just underwater. "That was fun!" She chirped happily as she shook herself off and trotted over to the large fish that flopped about on the sands. Now that it was out of the water it was an easy kill for her. She gahtered her lightning into a claw and slashed down, bolts of power and flashing energy trailing her claws. Her claws sliced cleanly through the flesh about the gills and slashed the spine. ONce she felt bone, she loosed her magic inside of the kokkolru; electrifying it from within. "There. Nice and dead plus cooked!" She said happily, her tail lashing with pleasure. "Ever eaten cooked food before? It's tasty! Though.. not as tasty as an old friend could make it taste with her spices and stuff." It'd been a while since she'd thought of Kadryn... years in fact. Wonder how she's grown? I should check her up... though later, much later. Gotta finish my Ritual first. Grrel sat down and sniffed the fish. It smelled like fish; but with a tang to it that was quite delicious! She took a small bite, testing to see if it was any good. There was no rush of blood like a land animal had, and it had a different texture. But it was good! "Mmm, it's good!" She commented to Tal. 1013/1200

robot kitten (I was thinking that maybe we could have the Diabi drawn in my the scent of the cooked meat. What do you think? ) Tallulah gave an appreciative whistle when Grrel used her lightning powers to take out the two Kokkolru as though they were just little guppies instead of the giant behemoths that they really were. He sat back, looking from side to side, then grinned, "That was quite impressive, Grrel!" He praised her, tail swishing behind him. This was the second time that he had battled alongside her and it was the second time that she had impressed him with her battle skills. She was dangerous and impressive, someone that he most certainly wanted to fight alongside more in the future if she would have him. "Eh? Cooked food? Some, yes. My teacher is a chef of sorts and tends to cook everything he makes though he makes more stews in hsi giant cook pot then just cooked meat." He said, taking a few steps forward... when some movement caught his eye. Turning slightly he found himself starring at another strange looking fish, this one being... oh, what were they called again, Svartrin? A rather scary and ugly looking critter that was for sure, but if he recalled from past when his mother brought them home they were good eating. Trotting over to it he grabbed it by the tail, dragging the squirming thing over toward Grrel, "Hey! Hey! Look what got washed up with the Kokkorlu!" He said, his voice a little muffled by the tail he had in his mouth. They should keep it too! It would be yet another tasty thing to eat along with what they had already caught. It would be great!

Orpheus Solon Works for me! I leave the Diabi to you to kill` Teacher? She wondered if his teacher was a shaman like Toki was her shaman and teacher. "Mm, I like cooking things though I've got no skill at it. Lightning tends to fry quickly rather than the slow cook you are apparently supposed to use... I'd like to meet your teacher and learn from him too." Maybe more than cooking too... since Tal here was a good fighter his teacher maybe helped him there! And having multiple teachers would always be a good thing... "Oh! That looks tasty too! What's this thing called?" She asked as her friend dragged over another fish. This one had some nasty looking teeth on it... "I'd hate to encounter that while swimming," she said as she pried open it's mouth to gaze in awe at the rows of sharp teeth. As she and Tal sat down to eat, a darker shape rose from the waters. it was merely a dark shadow rising from deeper shadows, so Grrel didn't notice it. In front of her was food to eat so she wasn't paying attention as she should have. The shadow approached quickly and quietly, nary a ripple in the water betraying it's presence.

robot kitten Sounds good, I will have him strike when it appears. ^_^ Tallulah dropped the fish with the nasty looking teeth down on the ground, leaving Grrel to inspect it, before he said, "It's Svartrin. They aren't something that anyone really wants to mess with back where I come from. They aren't exactly known for their sense or humor." He said, making a face at the fish. At least it had been hit by some of her lightning so they didn't have to worry about it trying to bite into them which was a plus. The very last thing that Tallulah wanted was to get savaged by the mouth full of sharp, dangerous teeth such a creature had. If anything his kind left them along unless hunting in group, that way the fish were easier to distract so that another could go up behind them to strike. At least that was what he'd seen. He'd never actually fought with one of them himself but depending on how they tasted he might have to see about trying to hunt for more of them to share with Eyphah later, "Let's see how everything tastes! I bet your form of lightning cooking will be good! Though if you really want to meet Eyphah sometime I can bring you to where he lives. It's actually not too terribly far from here." He didn't know of any other Diabi that lived in Eowyn so at least he was always easy enough to find. One just had to follow the trail of destruction he thought to himself with a bit of a smile. With a smile on his face the Merkora dug into the Kokkorlu first taking a couple big bites out of it, purring as he did so, "Mmm, really good!" He said after the first bite, happily taking another. For the moment he too was oblivious to the fact that something else was out there, something that was watching them, eying their food, and would be a threat in a short amount of time. It was obvious that something big and opportunistic would show up when such a bounty of food was nearby, but that too wasn't something that Tallulah was thinking about at the moment. In fact the only thing on his mind was his desire to see what Kokkorlu and Svartrin tasted like together!

Behind the engrossed Khehora along and dark shape rose from the waters, it's eyes gleaming as it eyed the feast before it. Perhaps it could add in some Khehora flesh to the Kokkorlu and Svatrin! Summon up it's dark magic, the Diabi blasted the Khehoras with a wave of shadow. Grrel gave a startled and muffled yip as the shadows stung and clouded her vision. She wanted to lash out with her power.. but Tal was too close and he'd get hurt!
