He couldn't say why but he was a lot more hyped up over this battle then he had been about the previous run ins that he'd had against the Aiskala to this point. The answer was quite obvious of course to someone other then Tallulah, the answer being the presence of Eyphah. Tallulah always wanted to fight harder when the Diabi was around because he was trying so hard to impress the Drakein. Now that Eyphah was back he wanted to bound head long into a battle against the ice dragons so that his teacher could see and, if he were lucky enough, get some orbs while he was watching. The two of them had left the ice cave some time ago to seek out Aiskala Dragons, though Eyphah assured him that he wouldn't take any of Tallulah's kills even if he was feeling the desire to go hunting at the moment for anything everything that moved... save for the Merkein of course, he got a free pass since he was important to Eyphah or so the Diabi had said.
Once the two of them had found a couple of Aiskala the Diabi had waved him on ahead saying that he should take them on, take them down, and get the orbs that they were sure to drop. Tallulah had only been too happy to take those words of encouragement with him while he headed down the snowy embankment toward where the two dragons were sitting, seemingly talking amongst themselves from the looks of it. He waited until just the right moment before charging, not wanting to risk being seen ahead of time. When the dragons seemed to finally notice him they rounded on him, both roaring at once, but the Merkein didn't allow himself to get frightened off by the sounds. If anything he merely sped up, looking for an opening, wanting to strike them both down as swiftly as possible. The better he did at the battle the more likely that he would be able to get through it without too many wounds of his own. He had to do his best after all to keep from being too scarred up or his mother was bound to try to hunt Eyphah down to make him into a chew toy. Given that he didn't want to two of them at each others throats he knew he had to be cautious.
Upon seeing what he felt was a good opening he lunged, his sharp claws raking against the first's Aiskala's ankle on its forefoot, staggering it, and from there he went for the throat. His teeth clamped down, crushing the Aiskala's windpipe, and when the other one got closer to attempt to get him down he kicked out at the second one, leaving some good, deep cuts in it's face that caused it to stumble back a few steps as though it were now taking in the situation, debating what it should do next, and when it's friend started to crumble apart it turned tail and fled. Tallulah didn't pursue though, something he was sure Eyphah would scold him for later. Instead he picked up his orb, wrapping his tail fin around it to keep it from getting lost, and walked over toward where the Diabi was waiting for him, "I got one of them! The other one ran away though... do you think I should go after it? You probably do, huh?" Eyphah tended to chase down the dragons that got away after all. When he got an affirmative nod of his teacher he turned tail and moved to pursue the Aiskala. Best that he did as he his teacher told him to do, it would be a way to net himself more orbs he was sure.
