The Great Orb: Part 1
The Sage came forth from the back of the cave that they had been staying in, a large wrapped up package in his hands, something that he had gone to fetch a short time ago during some downtime that he'd given to those he was looking after. He held it in one hand, patting it lightly with the other, before he looked to the boy that was playing with the little Keinling, giving a bit of a smile as he did so. So the two of them were going to share a clan, something that he found cute in an overly sugar sweet manner. No matter though, things like that happened, it was likely the great one Abronaxus who brought the pair together he thought to himself as he walked over to the pair of them. Squatting down he held the wrapped up bundle to the boy, "I have something important for you, Junjie."
Junjie looked up from what he was doing, starring at the bundle for a long moment before he reached out to take it from the Dovaa Sage's hands. Lowering it to the rest on the ground before him he set to unwrapping the heavy cloth from around what it seemed to be protecting, a gasp of surprise escaping his lips, "Wow... this is one big Ysali orb... was it from some sort of massive dragon?" He asked, running his hands over the swirling orb in utter amazement. This was something to see, an orb this size, it looked like nothing he'd ever seen before. Lifting his gaze he starred up at the Sage, "Thank you."
Giving a bit of a sigh the man said, "Don't thank me now, it's not so simple as to just receive one of these grand orbs to become a Dovaa of your chosen clan. It is now up to you to do the rest. I have provided you with the orb, it is your task to break it and take the power that is contained within. Once you do that you will have become that which you were meant to be, a Dovaa of the Ysali clan. Their power calls out to you, drew you to it, and now it is time for you to take that power as your own." He said, pushing up to his feet, "It was no accident that the first Dragon you defeated was Ysali, it was no accident that your bonded Drakein is Ysali, and it was not chance that you decided upon this clan. This clan was the one you were born to become a part of."
The Sage patted Junjie on the head, a move the reminded him for a moment of his mother, before the man turned away, "From here out it's up to you to figure out how to break open the orb. Once you do so you will be Ysali. I will leave you to it and see to Tilawen." He said, giving Junjie a nod before walking away from him, leaving him to his newest task, one in a line of many that the man had given the boy which would be followed by many more in the future. He had given him more then enough down time while he was off fetching the orbs that he'd fetched from home. Now that he was back it would be back to work he thought to himself, glancing over his shoulder for a moment to the boy that seemed to be studying the orb, then away again. He would help where he could though only for a time, he couldn't have a couple of half pint hybrids invading his space forever, especially Junjie. Not that he'd ever say out loud why that was.
"Don't just stare at it, starring isn't going to break anything." The man said before settling down at the makeshift table, pouring himself a drink, and did his best to leave the boy to figuring the rest out on his own. He'd already done more then enough, in fact all he should have done was brought the orbs that were needed instead of tending to the two of them on Ayr in his home. It was utter foolishness on his part brought on by nostalgia, nothing more. Nursing his drink the man only seemed to come out of whatever he was thinking about when he heard Junjie and Abellio walking away, the great orb in tow.

The Great Orb: Part 2
Once he'd gotten outside of their makeshift home Junjie looked up at the sky, taking in a deep, steadying breath, "I almost wish I were home. I kinda miss Mom." He murmured to Abellio. She was going to miss this change in him and thinking on it he realized that it was the first real big milestone that she was going to miss. She was there for his birthdays, all of the holidays, she was there when he got his first errands from Arick, when he brought home the various orbs that he'd received in all manner of ways, and she was there when he brought home Abellio's egg as well as when he'd hatched though he hadn't realized it at the time. She was always there but now she wasn't, "I wish she were here to see this." To see the grand orb, to watch him as he took on the power that it held, and as he became a Ysali Dovaa Clan member. He knew that he wasn't ever going to be a Dovaa, not completely, but this was a big step toward becoming like them, it was important to him, and she was going to miss it.
Sighing a little he glanced down at the orb that he was holding in his hands, lifting it up to look it over, then gave it a lopsided smile when he saw his reflection in it, "Alright, let's see what changes in me." He murmured to himself, making sure to memorize everything about himself, all of the little details, once he was done here he'd see if the Sage had a mirror that he could borrow, so that he could look into it and see his new self, "Come on, Junjie, you can do this." He said, doing his best to encourage himself as he lifted the grand orb up over his head and then threw it down against the rocky ground of Ayr. There was a massive 'CRASH' as the orb burst into a million glittering pieces and the green, swirling energy within it set to spiraling around him.
The boy stood there, eyes wide, as the energy wrapped around him, glowing brightly, before it seemed to then rush at him, flooding the young hyrbid with it's beautiful light, and he absorbed it into himself, drawing a bit of a gasp from him. It was like nothing he'd ever experienced, it was like his entire being was crackling with the overwhelming amount of energy that the orb had given over to him. That wasn't the only thing either, his wings seemed to be suddenly tinted with green throughout his feathers, his scales brightened, green streaks bled into his hair, the glow of green energy seemed to even fill his eyes, swallowing up the purple they had once been. The last thing that was changed was his horns as they seemed to brighten up and the end of the long one shifted, taking on the appearance of a small leaf.
The bright glow around himself seemed to die down, leaving the boy and his Keinling standing there in the dark once more, "Ahh... that was... really... wow..." He murmured, wings giving a flutter. It was that flutter that caught his attention because it was different then it had been all his life. Turning quickly he looked at one of his wings, then the other, eyes going wide as he saw the bright green that had appeared on them, "A-Abellio... do you see that?" He whispered in a hushed tone to his Keinling, lifting a hand up to brush his finger tips against the feathers.
The little Drakein gave a crooning sound, stepping closer to him, lifting up on his hind legs to get a better look at all of the changes that had overcome his bonded. A moment later he was scooped up into a hug, Junjie swinging him around in excitement. It was an excitement that was contagious as the Keinling started to growl in delight, seeming to be caught up in the moment. That was until someone cleared their throat behind them.
Junjie turned to look over at the Sage who was watching them, one eyebrow quirked upwards, "Ahh... it... um... it worked." He said, cheeks coloring, hugging the little Keinling to his chest. His wings gave a flutter behind him as he wanted to see what the man would think, what he would say, how he would react to the changes.
The Sage merely nodded, "Come along inside, I would rather your celebrating didn't draw in the Ayrala. It would be a waste of all of your hard work." He said, motioning for the boy to head back inside, something that Jun was quick to do. He was in too good a mood right now, he didn't quite feel up to battling it out with a dragon right now. If anything he just wanted to run over to Tilawen and show off the changes that the orb had caused in them. First though he wanted to see them all himself!
"A mirror, Sage! Do you have one?" He asked after they were both inside, something that caused the Sage to laugh before he went to fetch him one. After the simple item was handed over to the boy a good bit of time was spent with him primping and preening, seeming to be quite fascinated with himself. It was something that the Sage allowed, the boy should be allowed to enjoy the moment after all. There was much more for him to do in the coming days, more training, more tests, he would need to meet with a certain someone the Sage knew to get a weapon and to prove his worth by bringing some dragon orbs. For now though he would allow the boy this small victory.
