Running... the two fo them were running again from a dragon... well, at least Junjie was running. The terrified Abellio had frozen up and was now clinging to him. Holding him tightly in his arms long with the glittering dragon orb the two of them were doing their best to keep ahead of what was following them so persistently at the moment. It would seem that one of the Ayrala had spotted the two of them heading home with the orb and wasn't at all pleased with the fact that Junjie had taken out another Ayrala, "Oh man... these things are so mean..." He said as he ran along, stumbling on occasion over the rocks that littered the grounds, "Ah! Ack!" Junjie went down in a heap with Abellio and his orb, landing on the ground before rolling. It turned out being a good fall though as the Ayrala's claws swished through the air right where Junjie had just been.
"Abellio! Get the orb and run!" He ordered his Keinling. The little green gave a whining sound before he did as he was told, hurrying to where the orb had landed, grabbing it up in his jaws before he ran. Junjie scrambled back to his feet, grabbing up a few rocks as he went, and threw them at the Ayrala, bouncing them off of the creature's neck, dragging its attention off of Abellio and onto him. It was as the thing starred at him and snarled he seemed to understand that it might not have been the best idea, "O-Oops..." He gasped out, whirling around and ran a few steps forward in a near blind panic before he crashed into the broad form of the Sage who swept the boy up into one arm easily, as though he weighed nothing, "A-Ah... S-Sage...?"
The man seemed to be ignoring the boy at the moment, barring his teeth in an aggressive manner at the Ayrala before lifting a hand up to point at the creature. Power gathered there, energy crackling around his arm, and then took a threatening step forward toward Ayrala, startling the beast, and caused it to flee instantly. While it seemed that the creature was more then eager to attack Junjie it seemed that he didn't want to face off with the Sage and his power. The man shook his head, turned to look at the boy that was clinging to him, then sighed, "Come on, let's return home." He said, turning around and started back toward where they were staying Abellio rushing to fall into step behind the big man, the orb still in his jaws.
Looking down at the orb the Sage's lips turned up into a ghost of a smile, "So you were able to get one, were you? I am most impressed, Junjie, there is hope for you yet." He said, most likely the nicest thing that he had said to the boy to this point. He couldn't be too soft on him after all, he was a hybrid, he needed to toughen up, but no matter how tough he needed to get he wasn't going to let him get chewed on. If that happened Lien would never forgive him and while their relationship was a tenuous one at best he still wanted to keep even the fragment bond in place.
"T-Thank you, S-Sage." Junjie said, looking down at Abellio, giving the little Keinling a thumbs up, glad that the little one had obeyed him and fled with the orb when he told him to do so. He'd returned only when things seemed safe, something that pleased him, he didn't want the little Keinling injured after all, "I... I am kinda tired, can I have a little break?" He asked in a quiet tone.
The man gave a little chuckle before nodding, "I suppose that would be alright, you did as I asked you to do in obtaining an Ayrala orb after all." Might as well let the boy rest, especially given that he was almost eaten. He doubted very highly that the boy would be feeling up to any more tests for the day, might as well allow him his break and he would decide what to do with him come tomorrow.
