Both of them with boosted confidence from the lie, they head off in search of a hyena. The hyena they find, Tibuka, is not one that they easily escape. Instead, they are attacked. Kari gets her paw torn badly, and the rest of her is tossed around a fair bit.

Summary: At the banks of the Tamu'maji, Mtima meets a young lion named Ashki. He acts rather shy around her, and hesitates to explain that it's because he used to be a slave. They discuss this slavery, and end up having a conversation about fur color and how purple symbolizes royalty and the soul. After Mtima mentions how fur color doesn't make a difference one personality, how one can still be a bad lion with a beautiful pelt and that Ashki is not one of those lions, she really confuses him. Not wanting to look crazy, the goddess decides to reveal her true nature to him in explanation.

Roleplay, AIM || Mtima'safi, Adult || Reunion
Roleplay transcribed from AIM.
Summary: After all of her exploring, the Pridelands, the Umande'mfuni lands and back again, Mtima returns to Miamba and Kizamaji's den, hoping to find Kiza. They have a happy reunion, and Kiza admits that he's fallen for her. Mtima takes her time responding, but admits the same. They then decide to go for a walk.
-------------------------------------------------
After exploring the Pridelands for several days on her own, and even leaving the Pridelands to see the Umande'mfuni lands Fedha'kialio had mentioned, Mtima'safi was eager to see Kizamaji again. It was mostly his fault that she had stuck around here so long, and she thought he'd be the one to tell about some of the things she'd see. Not only that, but she just wanted to see him again. She was still disguised, but now it wasn't so bothersome. It seemed not to matter if she told anyone right now.
In her search, she'd done the logical thing and headed back to the den where she'd met Miamba. Mtima managed the journey from memory, and only hoped that Kiza would turn out to be there as well. When she reached the water, she stopped and looked around. She would not just barge into the den, that wouldn't be very polite.
Kizamaji was in the den, with his mother -- as the lioness had predicted. Of course, by then, the whole family was there. Kizamaji's sibling and father were also in it, sleeping. The blue male and his mother, were the only ones awake. He heard something in the water, and went outside to investigate. To his suprise, it was the female that he was falling for, Mtima.
"Mtima?!" He ran over with excitment, and gave her a big hug. He hadn't felt so happy in days. "Where have you been? ... ... I ... ... I missed you."
Mtima waited patiently by the water, expecting to be found fairly quickly. What surprised her was the great reaction she received when Kiza himself came from the den, running right over to her. With a laugh, she nuzzled against him happily, deciding this was probably why she'd been so keen on seeing him again.
"Kiza," she greeted him, "I've been wandering around the Pridelands, and I went to a jungle. I'm sorry I was gone so long, I missed you too!"
Kizamaji smiled and continued to snug against the female. "Its alright, Mtima. .. ... i'm just ... glad your back." His head sunk, as he looked down, his cheeks crawling with tears. He was really glad to see her more than ever, and he was afraid to tell her how he really felt deep down inside about her. His heart was beating faster becuase it was the most amazing feeling he'd ever had. He sighed lightly, clinging to the lioness. He never wanted to let go.
"I'm glad to be back," she murmured in reply, resting her head against him, just as keen on staying snuggled together. Her heart fluttered in a familer way, she didn't need her wings to recognize it, and it felt almost like she wouldn't need them. Mtima inched a bit closer and carefully took a seat, curling her tail around her feet and leaning back to look at him, surprised to find tears in his eyes.
"Kiza," she cooed, "Are you ok?"
"Its just ... ... i've been wanting to tell you something for a while now." His ears went back, as he looked back up at her. "But, I didn't want you to well ... ... react the wrong way about it." He sighed and looked away. "Even if you don't feel the same way about me, I still want to tell you anyways." He paused, and turned back towards her, smiling slightly. "Mtima'safi. I ... ... I love you." He looked back down blushing, his eyes confused of where to look.
Mtima watched him with a puzzled but encouraging expression. Her ears perked forward, interested in whatever he may say- the arrogant part of her expecting what she was about to hear. She stayed quiet, letting him get there in his own time and moving to where she could look him in the eyes with a smile. If he was going to break such news, she felt he could at least look her in the eyes.
She inhaled deeply, looking into his eyes silently for several long minutes, deep in thought. Kizamaji, based on her experience and knowledge, was a kind, friendly lion with a good soul. He was the first lion she'd seen in a long time, and was obviously very dedicated, especially with respect to family. Then there was the inexplicable wish to return and see him again when she could easily have kept wandering, time wasn't such a great deal when one was immortal. It couldn't hurt to say..
"Kizamaji," she said finally, mimicing the manner in which he told her so, "I love you, too."
Kizamaji looked back up as she spoke. He was in shock. He'd never fallen in love, and had someone feel the same way. He got up from the spot he was at, and rushed back over to the female's side. "I'm sorry I didn't say it earlier. I've been bottling my thoughts inside me for a while now." He looked up into her eyes, and then licked her gently on the cheek.
Still, the arrogant part of the goddess kept her from feeling too surprised at Kizamaji, though she was a bit surprised at herself. It was definetely something new to her, and she'd never have guessed if something of this nature happened it would be a mortal- especially one still fairly young. Mtima laughed at his apology, licking him on the nose affectionately.
"You shouldn't bottle your thoughts," she scolded him playfully. Caught in the moment, it didn't even cross her mind that she should say something about being a goddess, for it anytime was a good time, it would probably have been now. Perhaps even before he had a chance to say anything, she had expected it after all.
"I understand." He stuck his tounge out, and then let go of the female for a moment. "How about we go for a walk?" He smiled, and pointed towards the path. It was starting to get darker outside, since the afternoon was coming to a close. If felt a lot more cooler, and comfortable, though.
Mtima laughed at the childish gesture, nipping playfully at the stuck-out tongue before getting back to her feet at the suggestion. She looked back in the directio she'd come, near the path he'd pointed out, and then back to him with a smile, "A walk sounds nice, how about this time I lead the way. We'll see where we end up, it might be more interesting." Her eyes twinkled with amusement, she'd done some exploring but she was sure she didn't know the area as well as Kiza did.

Roleplay, AIM || Mtima'safi, Adult || Morning Hunt
Roleplay transcribed from AIM.
Summary: In the morning after their walk, Kiza wakes up with a growlling tummy. To fix this, the two go on a hunt for some antelope. Working together and using distance and surprise to their advantage, they are successful.
-------------------------------------------------
It was a calm morning for Kizamaji, as he awoke from his slumber, stretching himself. He blinked, and examined the area for a moment with curiousity. Did he fall asleep outside? Putting his ears back, he rolled his eyes and stood up. "What a night ... ..." His eye twitched, as he tripped over Mtima's hindleg -- as he was still somewhat asleep.
As he finally 'awoke', he flailed around in boredom, awaiting his love to awaken. "Pssst. Pssssst ~ Mtimaaaa." He nudged her lightly, to see if she would wake up. Shruging, he sat down beside her and waited, his tail flicking around impatiently. Silence broke for only a second, then his tummy went on a rumbling streak. The male shrung further to the ground. "Sooo hungry."
Mtima lay peacefully at his side when he awoke, dreaming pleasant dreams and barely stirring even when he tripped over her leg. This was definetely one of the high points in the wonderful time she'd been having in the Pridelands! Her ears twitched when Kiza tried to wake her, an eye cracking open at the nudge. She smiled up at him lazily, not moving to get up until she heard his stomach rumble. With a laugh, she lifted up her head and shook it, "It certainly sounds like you're hungry."
She gave a great yawn and slowly got to her feet, stretching as she went. If he was hungry, they'd need to hunt. If they hunted, she'd need to be awake and ready, and she was just starting to work on that one!
He grinned, and slanted his eyes, looking towards the hill ahead. "I'm certian theres some antelope over the hills that way. There usually is in the morning." The blue male skipped about in some rediculous giddy mood he hadn't felt in ages. He felt like such a kid again, even though he somewhat still was. He always acted mature for the age he really was.
He stood at the foot of the small hillside, awaiting for Mtima to follow him. "I know, your still tired, but we'll beat all the other lions to the good ones." He chuckled, and hopped up and down, excitedly. "I've never been so ready to hunt before!" He was so hyped up that he was shaking.
Mtima watched Kizamaji dance around happily, pointing out to the hills and predicting that there would be antelope there. She wrinkled her nose in amusement and looked out to the hills with a nod, he was probably right about that! With a toss of her head, she trotted forward and stopped at his side, "I'm awake enough, you need to calm down a bit though!" She laughed, nudging him affectionately on the side, "You won't catch anything if they know we're coming."
"Ah, I guess your right, hun." He chuckled slightly, slowing down his pace. "You win. Not only that, but I don't want to scare breakfast away." He stuck his tounge out, and quietly padded ahead. The second the food came into his sight, he crouched down. He bared his teeth -- until he was interrupted by a loud, obnoxious stomach growl. He grinned, with embarassment. "I guess my stomach wants its food right now. Unfortunalty, it'll have to wait for a little longer while." He extended his claws, and started crawling to the top of the hill, where the tall grass was located. At least there they'd have a better chance of not being seen.
"Of course I am," she said in a playful voice, though she did believe on some level that she was always right. As before, she nipped at his tongue when it was stuck out. Then she followed after him, crouching low when he did, stalking closer with him. They'd need to work together to get breakfast, and it took a fair bit of effort not to laugh at his growling tummy. She didn't even respond verbally to his comment, but instead winked at him. When he started to move again, she followed along, lifting her head ever so slightly to check their position with respect to their prey- she did have less chance of being seen if she checked, he was bright blue, her head was yellow.
At the peak of the hill, they were not far from the antelope- who happened to be a short distance from the bottom of the slope, with a couple grazing there instead of with the bulk of the group. They would make easier targets, it was luckier than finding them all grouped together.
Kizamaji began making his way down the slope on all fours, inching forward ever so quietly. "Just a little bit more, and then we'll jump out on them." He spoke a little too loudly. Two antelope perked their ears up and looked towards Kizamaji and Mtima. The blue lion's ears sank back further. "Sorry." He went off to the right, and directed the lioness to go off to the left.
He sat up a little, and waited for Mtima'safi to get into her position.
Mtima nodded as Kiza spoke, but winced as soon as it became apparent it was too loud, almost in time with the two antelope. She shook her head, but smiled encouragingly at Kiza despite the mistake. She nodded when given direction, taking it without much thought after seeing him head off to the right. They'd need to cut off as escape, for sure. It didn't take her long to reach her spot, and then she waited for Kiza's lead, letting him take control of the whole situation. It wasn't so important for the goddess to feed, so it was up to him! She was merely helping out.
Kizamaji stepped forward, and began dashing towards the pair of antelope grazing. He let out a fierce roar, to scare them towards Mtima. "That should do it." He nipped at their tails, to make them run faster. He didn't want to take them down on his own, since he was still smaller than an adult. Not too much smaller, but small enough.
"Alright Mtima, here they come!" He shouted to get the female's attention.
Mtima was ready when she heard Kiza leap from the grass and dash towards the prey. Her ears perked at the sound of his roar and the sound of many feet heading in her direction, and she waited for the right time before leaping forward with a roar of her own. With a cry, the antelope were scared backward again, only to find that's where the other lion had appeared- this double take was where the lions gained the advantage.
Kizamaji leaped onto an antelope, bringing it down to the ground. He clawed at it's legs to weaked it, for it was squirming about rapidly. There was only one way to solve this puzzle, to go for the throat. He leaned down, and grabbed the throat, instantly. He hated doing this part soo much. His ears went back, as he choked the creature to death. Unfortunatly, this was his source of food. Thats how the Great Circle of Life worked. He smiled to Mtima'safi. "Thanks for the help. How about we head back and chow down?" He grinned and threw the dead corpse onto his back.
Mtima did her own part, aiding in holding the beast down in particular. Her eyes were dead set on the antelope as Kiza strangled it, this was not one of her favorite parts of a hunt either- she could see something Kiza could not, however, and one could almost see it in her eyes and the way she watched it. She scrambled off of the creature when she knew it was dead, shortly before Kiza knew, watching it's soul leave. They hadn't gotten a large antelope, it was fairly small in fact- but enough to feed them, that was certain. She smiled back at Kiza and nodded, "Sounds like a plan."
He nodded, and padded back up over the hill towards the place where they slept last night. It really was a nice spot to have breakfast. "A plan indeed." He nuzzled against Mtima's side with his nose, and then licked her on the cheek.

Solo Roleplay || Mtima'safi, Adult || Fahari, Adult || On the way home
Roleplay found below.
Summary: While passing through the Pridelands, Fahari crosses paths with a goddess. They have a little Q&A session, enjoying each others company, before parting ways.
(( Back dated, between meeting with Kimaji and meeting with Leboya. Essentially, it's on her way back from the Umande'mfuni lands. ))
-------------------------------------------------
Fahari was a rogue serval who was passing by the borders of the Pridelands one day. There was a spring in his step and a smile on his maw, he was having a great day. He hadn't a companion, he hadn't seen anyone in awhile, but he was more than content to enjoy the view as he walked. His ears were perked, attentive to all of his surroundings. It was usually in his best interest to be aware of what was going on around him, so that's what he did.
"La de da," he hummed brightly to himself, his tail twitching behind him. The savannah grasses blended well with his pelt, and for that he was less than grateful. It wouldn't have bothered him too much to run into someone to have a chat with, after all it'd be something to do now and something to talk about later.
Mtima'safi had taken to the skies for her trip back from the Umande'mfuni lands and her meeting with Kimaji. She was enjoying some time without the illusion, though she knew she'd be using it once again when she got farther into the Pridelands. Until she got some clear understanding of the beliefs of the Pride, she couldn't well openly announce she was a goddess! For now, she was content to play happy huntress- part of her did expect to find a bit of a difference should she reveal herself, though it was highly unlikely. She had to remind herself that Mufasa had said all Pridemembers are equals. This was just a part of being in a mortal pride she had to accept.
When she touched down, a strange sound caught her ears. There was someone nearby humming, off key and tunelessly but humming. Mtima turned to look in the direction the sound had come from to find the source, only able to pick out Fahari because of the dark ears.
As soon as Mtima's eyes moved in his direction, Fahari's humming stopped. In his alert state, he'd noticed the goddess descending from the sky and had stopped to stare. His humming had suffered, of course, dulling into the less cheerful sound that the goddess had heard. Not only had he seen her, but she'd seen him after landing! It was an interesting sight, this yellow lioness with wings- surely it was some lion bird hybrid he'd never seen before!
He paused awkwardly, realizing that he was staring. His expression brightened at once with a grin, "Hello, there!"
"Why, hello," Mtima greeted the serval in return, stepping closer and folding her wings neatly on her back. She could tell that this creature had a good soul, though the look in his eyes and the sound of his voice displayed this very well, she felt. His pelt was not so extraordinary, but it was nice- his eyes were particularly attractive, though, the bright yellow that they were. "What's your name?" she asked brightly, taking a seat infront of the serval.
"I'm Fahari, miss," the serval introduced himself, still grinning. He was full of questions, and the name of the winged lioness was not one of the more important ones. He made a vague waving gesture with his paw before continuing, "What's your name? Are you part bird?"
Politeness demanded he ask her name as well, but there was none that stopped him from asking bluntly if she was part bird. He had heard of gods and goddesses, but not in so long a time that he really didn't remember much about it. He'd seen more birds than he'd heard stories about gods, it seemed to him a valid question.
"I'm Mtima'safi," the goddess introduced herself, giggling inwardly at his bird question and replying with a shake of her head, "No, I'm not part bird. Some gods have wings, and I'm one of them." She gave a friendly bow of her head, winking at him, "I am the goddess of souls."
Mtima watched Fahari carefully for his reaction to her words.
"A goddess?" Fahari exclaimed even before she'd introduced her domain. He felt foolish for not remembering some of the stories for himself, but only laughed good-naturedly. "I should have realized that! Goddess of souls, you say? What exactly do you mean by that?"
He was genuinely curious. His understanding of souls was limited, to be sure, but based on that he didn't realize they'd need a god protecting them, or what have you.
"It means I guard souls, essentially," Mtima replied, rolling her eyes and wondering how often she'd need to explain herself, "I've been asked questions like this recently, you know. Perhaps I should work myself out a prepared speech for answering!" It would certainly be easier that way. The goddess grinned at her own idea. It was unlikely she would ever actually do such a thing, she wouldn't expect everyone to ask.
"Oh, sorry," Fahari apologized quickly, his grin never faltering despite this, "Would it be ok to ask more questions? I mean, I'm curious and you never know if I'll see you again." He did a quick leaping circle infront of the goddess, trying to decide what he wanted to ask if he were permitted. He'd definetely like knowing what she could do, and what other gods could do. Maybe he'd ask why they aren't universally known, why they don't participate so much that they are well known. Surely there were things that could use divine intervention, things that could earn them more reknown.
"What can you do?" he asked suddenly, deciding to start there. Perhaps gods weren't all-powerful when limited to a certain reign, that might explain why they weren't so active in mortal every-day life.
"I can see your soul," Mtima answered quickly and simply when Fahari asked his question, expressing permission by answering the question. She wasn't surprised that he had questions, and she was fine to answer them as long as he didn't say or ask anything offensive.
"You may ask your questions, if I may ask you some questions afterwards," she said decidedly.
"My soul?" he repeated, raising an eyebrow at the goddess, "What do you see? And of course you can ask me some questions!" Fahari lifted his chin proudly, wondering what kind of questions the goddess would have for him. Perhaps she would want to hear of his exploits, his travels and all the other great things he has done!
"You're a good creature, Fahari," Mtima replied, "You're also not a seer, to name a couple key things I can see in your soul. I can tell if someone is good or bad." She would leave how limited this was to the servals imagination, it was much more fun that way. "I can also recognize others based on their soul," Mtima continued, "If your appearance changed dramatically, I would still know you as Fahari just because of this meeting. I've gotten a good look at your soul, it's distinct from all others, you know."
Fahari puffed up proudly at the compliment from the goddess, pleased to hear that he was a good creature. He knew, of course, but it was good to hear it from a goddess. The explanation of the next power she had surprised him, and he had to wonder what use it would be but was smart enough not to ask her such a thing. Instead he grinned, feeling that really helped answer his questions. Each god must have specific powers that limited them in how they could help mortals.
"Ok, you can ask your questions now," he said proudly, "I think that's all I've got."
"Alright then," Mtima said thoughtfully, examining the serval pointedly. It was more for show than anything, since now it was her turn to ask the questions- it was hard to match his enthusiasm, but it was easy to be friendly with him. "Might I ask what you're doing out here?" she asked finally, smiling at him, "You were humming when I saw you."
"Oh! Heh," Fahari chuckled at the question he was asked, not the least disappointed with it. It wasn't as specific as 'what great things have you done?' but it was something about him and what he was doing. It was actually pretty lucky he wasn't asked about great feats, he might have had to lie then.
"I'm just heading in that direction," he replied, nodding his head to where he'd been walking, "I'm a rogue, wandering wherever I want to go! It just so happens that I want to go in that direction today." It was a fine answer, in his opinion.
"And you're quite pleased to be going there, I'm guessing," she added, basing it on the fact he'd been humming. You don't hum unless you're in a good mood, most of the time. She didn't doubt he was just being honest, it was good to see someone was happy with their life, even if it was wandering from place to place.
"Of course!" Fahari responded without hesitation, he enjoyed his nomadic life. It was obvious as he puffed up his chest and grinned widely at the goddess.
"I suppose that means I should let you get on your way," Mtima said finally, getting to her feet, "I should be heading back in the opposite direction myself. It was certainly nice to meet you, Fahari." She grinned at him, wondering if she would have the pleasure of meeting him again.
"Oh," Fahari let out all the air that kept his chest puffed proudly, resuming a more natural stance. He hadn't expected the conversation to take a turn that way, but it seemed a convenient way for the goddess to take her leave. He could make it sound like he wanted to take his own leave as well, "Alright then. I should be getting along myself anyway!"
"Perhaps we'll meet again," Mtima gave a farewell nod and then turned around and started off in the direction of the Pridelands without looking back. It was a nice welcome back, meeting Fahari, even if he was a rogue serval.
"Goodbye," Fahari called after the goddess, watching her go for several moments before turning his own tail and heading off again. His humming resumed and the spring returned to his step, he was on his way once again!

Summary: Siku comes to Kiji to ask if he thinks that she is fat. Kiji, having some sense answers no but does say her tummy is getting bigger. They ponder for awhile, and it's actually Kiji who comes up with an answer first. He recalls how Chachili's stomach had been swelled when she explained how there were fawns in there. Panic follows as the two realize they are expecting cubs, largely due to a vision Siku has. They agree to just handle the situation together.
