Jaxston huffed as he tried to keep up with Quixote. The Axew’s attention to games swapped from one game to the next, eagerly working to earn as many tickets as he could. The ticket count was piling up; luckily, a kindly looking… witch thing had recognized the Snivy’s struggles and given him a worn little satchel to carry the tickers they were collecting. Trey was agonizing and struggling to get the mud off his face, otu of his eyes, and his now open wounds. Arceus, what the hell. Swiping the last of the mud (that he could get) away from his eyes, he blearily stared as Reese now struggled with the thing, to aghast at the whole situation to take any satisfaction in the other's mutual suffering. He looked down and moved away as the other teen threw the bird off him, and towards Trey, staring at it as it tumbled into the mud. "I... think it's a peafoul?" he guessed, his voice a bit distant. He was still trying to catch up to everything, and wrap his mind around it. Those were... rare. Very rare. And it didn't quite look right, either. A shiny one, maybe?
He turned to frown at Reese, fully ready to insult him. "They're a rare pokemon, ya gobshite. And they're toxic, too, so--" he stopped, his eyes going wide as he stared right past Reese. As he did, something landed on the other teen's shoulder-- another peafoul. This one looked the right coloring. But it had something in it's beak... Was that a feather? "Shite, look--" Before he could warn him, the pokemon suddenly flapped its wings, and moved to stab the end of the metallic feather into Reese's neck-- not enough to slash, or catch the jugular-- but enough to inject the violent toxins right into his blood stream.

Trey jerked away when Reese hurled the other bird near the first one, and was about to bring his gaze back to the teen, when the first seemed to go into a frenzy. His eyes widened and he reflexively moved away, but grabbed for a pokeball -- Cherish's, at first, before realizing the pokemon was gone -- and throwing it at random as he ducked over to the other. The ball snapped open to release a zubat, one of the pokemon he'd apparently adopted, no doubt, which shrieked and seemed to startle the bird out of it's charge towards Reese. It immediately started flapping its wings and shrieking at the pokemon, though -- which might have started a battle, but it seemed the zubat was just as confused and disoriented as it might have been, flapping erratically and flinching at its own shrieks.
Trey didn't have time to be baffled by his own pokemon, however. Reese was on the ground and he was starting to feel a little less than awesome himself, though obviously, he wasn't nearly as bad off. He glanced over briefly to see that the second peafoul was getting himself together, and looking with some disdain at the mud on his feathers, though was making no move to rush them again. "We must've roughed up their home or somethin'," he muttered, though he had a feeling Reese wasn't exactly interested in any answers or new information, at this point. He stared down at him, frowning, very much loathing the next course of action he knew he'd have to make. Sneering, he moved down, moved to grab one of Reese's arms, and tried to jerk him up and sling it around his neck so he could support the other. "C'mon," he muttered, hoping to Arceus the other didn't get sick on his shoes.

Reese was semi-deaf to the commotion from the birds due to his antics. He could hear needless ruffling and squawking but couldn’t bring himself to look up and see what all the fuss was about. He’d curled further into a ball at this point, shivering in the mud and looking as though he was struggling to keep himself from just slumping into the mud. That wasn’t good.
He flinched as Trey appeared and tried to jerk him up, immediately giving a sharp yelp and yanking himself away, shooting what was either a death glare or a look of incredible wooziness at the other teen. Of course, his struggle to avoid flopping straight into the mud was lost in that moment as he practically fell like a rock. "Get… g-get away… y-you…," it was the hardest thing trying to talk and not vomit at the same time. Still though, the punk managed to crane his head up just enough to give Trey a hateful stare, managing to look paler than before with sweat peppering his brow.

The second Az snapped at him Alex snapped his hand back. He'd messed up, he'd just have to manage without it. He considered asking to hold hands again.
Alex did notice the lights flicker through the sheet, but was actually distracted by Noodle's glow, instead of being unnerved. The little guy's head was poking out from his front pocket, making for a slightly off-center glow-crotch effect.

Az's answer about knowing about ghosts was surprising. "Oh, okay," he chirped, in no way letting on that he hadn't looked up any information about his pokemon at all. Az was cool and all and a super role-model but all that studying sounded like a lot of work and no fun at all.
"I don't have any ghosts. Well I guess you saw all my pokemon earlier. I wonder if they're doing okay. I bet they're winning lots of tickets." His pokemon were, in fact, currently getting drunk on apple cider and donuts.

Trey yanked himself away when Reese jerked back, scowling at the other, then rolling his eyes at the attitude. Seriously? Yeah he wasn't being the most gentle there, but the guy had brought this on himself, in a way. And he was trying to get him to the freaking medical tent. He'd even tried to warn him beforehand. He lowered his eyelids, staring down at him, and crossed his arms over his chest. Slowly, another sneer curled his lips at his accusations, and for a second, he seeeriously considered just leaving him there. Letting him drop into the mud, fall unconscious, slowly succumb to the poison. He looked away, sighing silently under his breath.
Instead, he waited. He brought his gaze back to the boy, and decided to just let the toxins take a little more effect. Attention shifting to the pokemon, it seemed the confused zubat was.... perplexing the two peafoul enough to hold off their attacks, for the time being. The oddly colored one was still puffed up and looking very upset, but the other seemed just... confused, perhaps flabbergasted, and the frazzled bat's antics. He couldn't help but wonder if he was saying something that was confusing them, or if they were as thrown off by how disoriented he seemed as he was. Shifting through his pokeballs, he grabbed a different one, now ignoring Reese outright, and tossed it up. He had no idea if the pokemon would obey him or not, but it was worth a shot. "Couldja help hold those two off fer a sec?" he requested the Breloom who appeared, shaking its head and looking at him curiously. It quirked its head to the side, then turned to the indicated peafouls, and hopped over. Almost like a kangaroo, it bounced back onto its tail and kicked its feet out at the two, startling them and causing them to quickly retreat.
And as they did, Trey turned his attention back to Reese, eying him, waiting another beat to make sure he looked about as close to collapsing as he estimated he would, before dropping his arms and walking over. He quickly ducked down to again try and grab the other's arm and dip his head under it, before standing to try and support his weight and, if he had to, drag him. They at least needed to get away from those two birds, and he could recall the two pokemon on their retreat once they were far enough that they probably wouldn't return.
