During a walk in a direction that Junjie hadn't explored on his own before he and his quiet friend Tilawen reach the ocean! After following something that was moving quite swiftly the two of them discover a small cave that leads deep into the ground. Without much in the way of hesitation the curious Junjie leads the way into the cave where the two of them find a Cropher nest and in it Dragon Orbs! They each end up with two of the precious orbs, a Peisio Orb and an Ayrala Orb each. Junjie was quite excited to bring them home for his mother to see, sure she would be happy to see he'd found orbs that didn't involve him battling dragons.

Junjie Needs Shelves
It had been quite exciting, getting to come home to show his mother the two new orbs that he'd gotten, one of them a blue Peisio orb and the other a gray Ayrala orb, both of which he'd gotten without having to fight dragons! Sure, he'd gotten himself a bit scraped up during the trip through the dark, tight cave, not to mention all the dirt, but still she seemed as though she wasn't all that upset with him over any of it. Better that he and Tilawen went exploring some caves instead of the two of them getting attacked by enough dragons that they were each able to return with two orbs a piece. After being allowed to put his two orbs into his room, one of the Peisio Orbs, the one he'd gotten from Arick, placed someone special, and the the other was sat with the rest of the orbs. He had a fairly decent collection of them now, four of them at this point, and he couldn't help but to be pleased over this. They were beautiful orbs after all, each of them coming with an important memory, and he wanted to keep the lot of them safe. He found himself thinking though that he was going to have to see about getting some shelves put in where he could put the entire collection of them. He'd worry about that later though. While he was allowed to put the two new orbs up he was told that once he was done it was time for a bath.
Sighing a bit he stroked a hand against the Ayrala orb, the one that reminded him of Erionda because she had Lanzecki, an Ayrala Keinling, with her. It made him wonder exactly what it was that she was up to these days. Maybe doing more traveling with Lanzecki and Uassae, maybe? He was a little envious, wanting to travel himself one day, but he figured since it was a dangerous thing to do being Hybrid it was something he'd put off for now. Maybe when he was older, stronger, ready to face the many dangers out in the world then he would be able to do as Erionda did. Not to mention that once he was older then perhaps the pretty green egg he'd found will have hatched, then he would have a traveling buddy! That would make it better, safer, and less lonely that was for sure. The biggest problem being that before he could travel he would need to convince his mother to let him do so.
Walking over to his bed he lifted up the blanket for a moment, peeking under it at the large, watermelon sized egg, giving it a smile, "I can't wait for you to hatch. There will be so much for us to do together once you do." He told the egg, reaching out to give it a gentle pat on the shell, smiled, then covered it back up once more to help to keep it warm. Once he was done with with his bath he would spend more time with the egg, as well as rearranging things in his room so that all of his orbs had a place to sit, before he went about figuring out where he would put the new shelves that he was going to talk to his mother about getting. The sooner he did that the sooner he could collect even more of these orbs through various means. If he could get one of each of them he'd be quite happy, save for one of the Celestial Dragons' orbs of course. Since there was supposed to be only one of that sort of dragon from what he'd heard he didn't want to be the one to kill such a rare creature. If he could see it one day, even if from a distance, that would be exciting but he had no desire to fight such a rare being.
"You rest up and work on getting ready to hatch, Eggy. I am gonna go get my bath before my mother gets on me about tracking dirt around the house." He was already sure that he'd be in charge of sweeping once he got done with his bath given all the dirt he'd tracked in but he'd put that off until for as long as he could. After one last glance at the lump on the bed that was the egg, and one at the various orbs that were sitting around wherever he could find space for them, he gave a happy sound and hurried off out of his room toward the bathroom as quickly as his feet would carry him.

Clan Choice: Part 1
When Junjie arrived at home after his battle with the Ysali dragon the boy was a bit of a wreck. His clothing was a mess, torn up and covered in various stains, his hair was half out of his usual up do, and he looked over all mussed up... and yet despite that he was smiling. He had done exactly what he'd set out to do. He found himself a Ysali, alright two of them but he didn't count the first one since it flew off, and then he battled with it for real instead of winning on accident. He was proud of himself, he was able to go out, able to stand up against something so powerful and intimidating, and he came out on top. He was pleased, but he was almost positive that his mother wasn't going to be all that pleased with him over it. He knew that she worried for him but he knew that today was the day that he went to talk things over with her, important things, things that were going to shape his life from here on out. As much as he didn't want to do this, worried as he was for his mother, he would need to tell her what he was planning even if she didn't care for it.
As he stepped into the yard his mother came running forth from the house, her eyes quite wide, as she looked Junjie over, taking over the condition that he was in, then looked at the Ysali orb that he had in his grasp, and she gave a gasping sound, "A-Ah! Junjie!" She cried, reaching out to him, catching hold of her son to drag the boy into his arms. Holding onto him tightly she gave a soft sound in her throat, "What happened? Are you alright? Where are you hurt?" She asked, checking him over for injuries or any blood. She didn't see any but that didn't make her worry any less over the boy.
Junjie starred up at his mother for a moment before he took a step back, clutching the orb to his chest, looking down at his feet for a moment before saying, "I... I... went out and I found and fought a Ysali." He said, doing his best to find his voice. It was so easy for him to speak up around the strangers that he met, even though that he should be intimidated by, and yet it was so hard to talk with his mother. Why was it that he found it easier to stand up to a dragon then he did standing up to her? The boy looked down at his feet, up at his mother, then down again, "I... I have been thinking... and I know that you aren't going to be happy about this, I know that you want me to stay home and be your apprentice but I... I don't want to remain forever clanless." He told her in a quiet, seeming to be struggling with his words before he lifted his purple gaze to look up at her, holding the orb, "I have been following them, studying them, learning their tricks, what they do to protect themselves, how they fight and... I... I want to be a Ysali!"
Lien gave a soft gasp, starring at her son in a wide eyed manner, having no idea where he'd gotten such ideas from. How did he know about such things? About the clans, about becoming one himself, then she realized that there were books in the house that spoke of such things, not to mention that he had seen Arick Skyforge, another Dovaa, who was of a different clan then Lien herself. There was also the possibility that he might very well have met with other Dovaa during the times he was able to sneak away from home as well. He was a lot smarter then she had realized despite being with him every day. He was growing up when she wasn't looking, something that was quiet shocking. She'd always thought that he would be her little baby, toddling along in her footsteps but he was wrong it seemed, "I see." She murmured, then reached out to rest her hand on the top of his head between his mismatched horns, ruffling his hair lightly.
"A Ysali, is it?" She murmured, then gave a soft sigh, "Allow me a little time. I know someone that might be able to help you. You are... special, Junjie and... even simple things like choosing your clan will be a little more difficult for you. This person, he might be able to help. I will send a letter his way and we will see. Does that sound alright?" She hoped that it would be alright because there were very few Dovaa out there that would be willing to help someone of mixed blood. Normally it was a task that called for them to go to the Celestial Plane to get a specialized orb, the one that would grant them the powers of their clan. Due to being what he was Junjie would never be allowed into the Dovaa's world. She hated this fact but it was one that her son was going to have to contend with all of his life.
Hugging the orb to his chest once more the boy nodded his head, "It's alright, Mom. So... can we send the letter today?" He asked in a hopeful manner. He wanted to get things underway as soon as possible, even if it meant that he would need to be patient once the letter was sent. He had no idea who it was going to, who the Dovaa was that his mother wanted to contact, but he was eager to meet him. If the man could help him to become a Ysali Dovaa he would wait as patiently as possible for the letter they sent out to get a reply.
Giving a nod of her head Lien said, "Yes, yes... we will send the letter today. Though before we do that you are going to put that orb in your bedroom with the others you have collected, then you are going to get a bath. You are a mess, Junjie, and you won't be tracking dirt all over the house. Go on now, I will get all of the writing supplies and we will write it out once your are cleaned up." She told her son, ushering him into the house. Giving a happy sound in his throat Junjie ran off to do as he was told, leaving Lien standing there sighing softly to herself, "Someone I never thought I'd have to deal with again." She muttered to herself, willing to deal with the other Dovaa only for the good of her son. Was it for any other reason she would look for help for anyone else before dealing with that particular man.

The Egg Decides to Hatch At Last!
It was late at night when a scratching sound woke the deeply sleeping Junjie, causing him to look around in a somewhat confused manner, "Huh...? Mom?" He murmured, lifting a hand to rub it against his eyes in a somewhat dazed manner. It took a moment for the boy to realize that it was still quite dark in his room and that it wasn't his mother that was trying to wake him. Sitting up he pulled back the blanket, looking from side to side, before realizing that the scratching sounds were coming from the egg that he was laying alongside next to. A squeak of surprise escaped from the boy, causing him to reach out toward the egg, resting his hands on it, "Is that you?" He asked of the egg, leaning in to press his ear to the side of it, listening closely, hearing a meeping sound from within the shell that was followed by more scratching. So it was the egg?! It was going to hatch! Giving a squeak he pulled himself out of bed, hurrying to light his lamp, carrying it over to hang it up over the bed.
"Oh wow! I can't believe that you are really going to hatch!" He'd gotten so distracted stalking for a letter back from the Dovaa that he and his mother had sent a message to that he had almost forgotten about the fact that the egg might be hatching soon. He'd had it with him for some time and there hadn't been any indication that it was imminent but this, this was so exciting! The boy shifted so that he was sitting cross legged in front of the egg, wrapping the blanket around the base of it so that it wouldn't risk rolling off the bed, "Alright! You can do it! All you have to do is break through the shell!" He encouraged whatever was inside of the egg in an excited tone of voice. He wanted to help, really he did, but his mother had told him on many occasions with the creatures that they raised that you weren't supposed to help them. Hatching from an egg was an essential test for any creature, a test proving that they were ready for the world. As such he would need to be patient and just wait for the baby to make its way out on its own.
He couldn't help but to wonder and worry a little about the one in the egg if for a moment. What if Tilawen was right? What if the one inside of the egg didn't like him? No, no... he wouldn't think about that. He wanted to believe that the one inside of the egg would like him, would be friends with him, and that they would get along. He had taken good care of the egg right? Saved it from the egg thieves, made sure that the egg didn't end up anywhere terrible like Lanzecki almost had. No, this was all going to be alright. Tilawen had given him a 'what if' scenario to think about but he really wanted to believe that things would work out. While they were very, very different in personality, look, and even breed both of Erionda's Drakein loved her. So of course whatever sort was inside of the egg would love him as well, right? Would it be as protective as Uassae or as nippy as Lanzecki, that he didn't know, but he would know soon enough, right?
At least that was what he figured... he was a little wrong though. It seemed that hatching was a long, drawn out process. There was a lot of shifting around inside the egg, scratching, squeaking, and cracks that spread across the shell in a web pattern. The one inside the egg didn't seem to be in much of a hurry, did it? Time passed at a grueling manner, going from the dark of night to early morning, and it was then that the first real bit of hatching happened as a foot came kicking through the side of the egg, wiggled around a moment, then was pulled back inside. More shifting and then a bright blue-green eye starred out through the hole at Junjie. The eye went wide, softened, and if he could see the rest of the creature he felt that it would be smiling, "Hello there. Are you gonna come out now?" He asked of the little Keinling that was starring out at him. There was more shifting before the one inside started start the struggle once more.
Junjie was so engrossed in what he was watching, getting to see various holes punched in the side of the egg, that he missed the few times that his mother came to look in on him. He missed breakfast as well even though his mother had put it on the table next to his bed. Nothing else mattered at the moment other then what was going on in front of him. A few more holes in the egg shell later the creature finally burst forth from it, shell pieces going in all directions, before the creature flopped over on the bed, breathing hard, seeming to be quite exhausted. Junjie starred at the cute, green, feathery creature before he gave a happy sound, "Wow! Look at you! You are so pretty!" The boy squeal before he scooped up the already decent sized Keinling and raced out of his room, wanting nothing more then to show the baby off to his mother as soon as possible!

Junjie heads out on a little walk with Abellio to stretch his legs and to fill his time while awaiting a letter back from the Dovaa Sage that his mother was trying to get in touch with. During the walk Abellio nearly tackles a blond Orderite boy, something that Junjie was just barely able to prevent by catching the Keinling midair. Given his attempts to practice keeping his wings under control Junjie decided to do his best to appear as being just a Dovaa as he is uncertain about his first meeting with a pure blooded Orderite given his own mixed blood.

A Letter Back Solo
Junjie was running about the yard with Abellio hot on his heels, the both of them chasing after the pretty, flicker moths that came out at night. They were pretty creatures, something Jun loved due to how they could glow, and he was determined once more to try to catch some of them. He knew he couldn't keep them for long, it wouldn't be good for them, but the chase was fun! It was as he was chasing the small, glowing creatures that someone in a cloak started up the path toward their place, something that caused him to freeze in place, "Ahhh..." Maybe it was someone to see his mother he thought to himself, his worry growing a little which caused Abellio to give a little, rumbling growl at the cloaked figured in response. Glancing down at him he moved to rest a hand on the Keinling's head to sooth him, standing up as tall as he could, and waited to see what the cloaked figure was going to do.
Much to his surprise instead of some sort of attack the man's hand slipped forth for the depths of the cloak he wore and held out a letter to him. There were no words, just that single envelope and the moment that Junjie took it from him the one in the cloak was already leaving. He starred down at the letter for a moment, seeing his mother's name on it, and he looked to Abellio, "Come on, we will give this to Mom." He told the little one who was still glaring after the cloaked figured, as though displeased with the fact that the person had dared to scare his Junjie. Trotting back toward the house Junjie set to inspecting the envelope on all sides, holding it up to the moon light, and otherwise trying to figure out what might be inside of it. He wanted so badly to open it but given that it was his mother's name on it and now his own he didn't dare to do so. Best to give it to her and hope that she allowed him to know what the contents of the letter might be.
"Mom! A letter came for you!" He called out as he stepped inside, closing the door behind Abellio, then trotted down the hallway to his mother's clinic, looking inside, giving a smile as he did so. She was in there cleaning up, checking her supplies, changing the bedding, the various things that she did each night so that she would be ready the next day if a patient came by, "A letter, Mom." He said, walking over to her and held it out.
The woman paused in her cleaning, reaching out to take the letter from her son, and turned it over to read her name. There was a moment when she gave pause, running her thumb over the scrawling letters before she opened it up, taking the paper from it, and set to reading over what the letter said. It wasn't too long a letter, short and to the point which was normal for the one that had penned it, and she gave a soft sigh as she tucked it away, "It's an address and a date for when we are to meet with the Dovaa that I told you about." She told him, they had a week for Junjie to get ready for the meeting with the man, a week to prepare him, and that also gave her a week to send one other letter as well, "You go and start get some things packed, no rush of course as we have a week. I need to see about writing a letter to Burrom, to see if he wishes for Tilawen to go along as well."
Junjie starred at his mother with wide eyes, gave a bit of a gasping sound, before he turned on his heel and ran out of the clinic and to his own room, "Come on, Abellio! It's time to pack!" He said, quite excited. The fact that the man had answered them back meant that he would soon be on his way to becoming a Dovaa, at least half Dovaa, of the Ysali clan! It was quite exciting, something that he wanted to squeal about, something he wanted to tell the world about, but it was something he would need to keep secret. The only ones that were allowed to know what he was doing was his mother, Abellio, and himself. Well, Burrom and Tilawen as well if the man decided that the two of them could come along. He hoped so, the girl was really, really quiet, only speaking from time to time, but at the same time he felt that she was a good friend to him. Not to mention meeting with the Dovaa that would be helping him to become a Ysali Dovaa would be a lot less intimidating if he wasn't alone when he did so.
With all of this running through his mind the boy happily worked on trying to figure out everything that he wanted to bring along with him. He knew that he had a week to get things picked out but he couldn't help but to want to pack straight away, more excited then he'd ever been in his life over the prospect of becoming a Ysali.
