When he returned to the shrine, Linswo said nothing. The goddesses knew. The task had been completed, and now he knew his true nature.

He was back to his old heart, and sullenly he approached the goddess, now resenting the fact that she wouldn't just let him go, that he had to follow her silly trials. Why? Why couldn't he just leave? He didn't want to be here.

Shiohlu returned to the shrine, bowing graciously before the Goddess. What was done, was done, and strangely he found himself strangely unaffected by what he had done. Some distant part of him might have even enjoyed it.

The memory of his missing heart, though how he lost it exactly was forgotten, lay still inside. He clutched his chest in pain as he moved towards the goddess, bowing lightly.

It was done. She was frightened and shaken, but she still approached the goddess for her blessing regardless. Distracted by her fear, she didn't even notice the memories of the two girls fading away.

Niqun walked into the shrine with a heavy (and empty feeling) heart, looking up at his goddess for approval... but expecting scorn.

Ideih fell to her knees, feeling drained for reasons she couldn't remember. When she received their blessing she left with a quiet thank you.

With all the memories gone there was nothing but the blankness he'd started with and the soreness in his lungs. He stared at the shrine, desperately hoping he could figure out how to not feel so lost, but there was nothing but a blessing from the goddess.

His nature... was it to be prey? To ultimately be sacrificed for a greater purpose? This revelation made him depressed. He'd thought he'd been working so hard to become greater than everyone else. So what was this? Was it ll for someone else to succeed? Was he a foot stool for those who were stronger? Prey... he was prey... Fodder... His heart ached, but he embraced it. Having a heart that aches.. it was better than having no heart at all.

He came before the goddess in silence, accepting his gift. When he walked away, he no longer remembered. He would always be the predator. Never the prey.

Naiad sighs as she reenters the shrine and kneels before the goddesses telling them of her completed task. She can feel the blessing settle around her and with it she becomes aware of other voices. Odd glimpses of people from her past images, words, just little tidbits. Still it makes her feel as if she could be closer to the truth of herself. Thanking the goddesses she stands and leaves the shrine.

Ruse was again unable to recall what she did for her task as she approached the Shrine, trying her best to remember anything of value. The only thing that knew at the moment was that she was exhausted once more, but then that was to be expected. She was completing tasks for goddesses after all. After receiving the blessing, she felt a little better, and exited so she could recuperate.

Reheats came back into the shrine, rubbing her arms, trying to stop herself from shaking. That experience scared her deeply. Even though she looked fine, she still felt a pain in her chest from time to time. All she wanted to do was to forget that ever happened.
