( Journey Journal for Niqun (Quinn)) The form shuffled around, Afraid, watching cautiously, the greyed out form jumped nearly 10 feet once he realized that his goddess was addressing him. He stopped and listened intently, opening the bag filled with .... nothing? A heart? She wanted him to go get a heart? Looking around he coughed once, hoping truly it was not a real heart... Entering the door he had a moment of almsot clarity, before he scooted within, Truly there was no choice really, he knew which one he wanted to go through. THe door with the least malicious feeling, it felt almost..normal?

The first thing that hit him was the lights, he was surrounded by what appeared to be thousands of pumpkins. Their glow was not unwelcome, in fact it was... friendly. It mad a small smile turn up the corners of his mouth, the warmth seeking into his greyed out form and making him feel whole.
It felt strange...
Further up the pathway, there was something standing in his way. Something that did not belong, but he felt himself drawn to it. Pushing the flowers aside, in the light from the pumpkins he saw a name. It was not a name he knew, but a name none the less.
Still the shade paused, staring once more. Should he pay tribute to the dead...
Thump Thump
Below him, something sounded. It was truly a spectacle, staring in disbelief. Was this the heart...? His goddess claimed to want a heart of the dead? How was this dead heart still beating? A breath of life flowing through the dearly departed.
It was almost too easy, he thought. Without pausing too much he reached out and clasped at the beating heart, its orange warth dancing over his form until it was removed. Only then, once in the bag, did the light seem to cease and the beating stop.

Something following him, something close behind.
Words whispered across his being, knowing not to turn behind. He did not want to know what the voice was, whatever was calling him. His feet moved closer, the voices growing stronger.
It was too late, too late when he body hit the ground. The voice more intent, deadly in its wanting. It wanted whathe took, wanted it returned. Niqun found himself fearful, not wanting to look around. Was it dead? Was it the same creature? Was there a hole in its chest?
Was it here to kill him?

No time to think, no time to pause.
This thing was trying to smother him into the sticky, unforgiving, earth. Trying to make him a grave as well. The pumpkins still shining all around, laying witness to this act. He couldn't die here... couldnt wait around. He had to do something.
Memories flashed through him, his smiling form as a older man brought him to the beach for the first time. It was their first time meeting, but his parents were happy to see him too...
As he plunged the scissors into the grey shades form, only then did the pressure stop. Only then could he stand up, and leave. Watching around as he did, he did not notice anything watching... anything that took the scissors.

( Task 2 ) He let out a sigh as his fingers clasped around the dagger, shaking his head as the goddess said the task. Only he had to do it, he must. There was no choice. There were many goddesses and each of them gave a task. Bit by bit he felt himself growing more whole. Piece by piece a little more him. Still he held that edge of fear, that note of worry. Niqun still continued on, going into the next room.... Only to try running right back out.

He slipped and fell, the creature drew near. There was a stench in the air, it was his own fear.

Then suddenly his answer lay to the side, a piece of paper that could quickly turn the tide.

His eyes grew wide as the shade grew close, its taunts and jeers making him pause, totally froze.

Turning he noticed something different to his right, how could he have missed such a sight?
Tapping in the code it was almost too late, leaving the creature behind to whatever its fate.

He ran, the creature still behind, He had no time to unwind. He fall down the bridge, the blade still in hand, The only way to get away would not be that grand. He sobbed and he cried, His sawed off foot dangling to one side. Still it grew back no matter the pain, But what really did he gain?

Himself still gimp, tears filled his eyes, Why would his goddess tell him such lies? But he knew deep down this was the truth, Because in the end it took no Sleuth. His heart was taken with the other creatures own hand, for her was prey...that part seemed planned.
