It was different this time. Rusekop could already see that one of the goddess was missing. The goddess of Paranoia. She wasn't far away however, and she approached. The goddess gave her a tiny bag, and her eyes lit up eagerly. Bowing to the statue, she opened the bag up with high expectations, but found nothing inside. The goddess seemed just as surprised as she was, and handed her a pair of scissors. With instructions on what to do.
She wasn't too sure about the instructions given.
"Cut out the heart?" She may not know much, but Ruse knew that all figures here had a heart. It was important, and for the goddess to just ask her to cut it out...
Well, she did say they didn't need it, whoever they were...but that smile...
Un-nerved, she walked towards the small opening provided, her ears detecting a weird sound. In front of her were three doors, each interesting gin it's own different way. The first two were ignored in favor of the third door, and she pushed it open.

A sharp pang of fear swept through her body as she opened the door, her mind having doubts on weather this was a good idea or not. The other doors had been less threatening...
"Hah!" She said to the darkness, forcing the door open and stomping through it as she pushed the terror aside. She was not about to let something like this stop her. The goddess needed a heart, and she would get the blasted heart.
The door soon closed behind her as she walked through the all-consuming darkness. She wasn't able to see a thing, and had to resort to feeling her way around. There was a whispered name in the air, and try as she might she could not place it. She knew this name, she was sure of it. It wasn't the only sound, however. A steady thud was heard throughout, and the constant sound kept her on edge.
Suddenly she bumped into something, her hands coming out to feel what it was. A large crate from what she could tell. But it what was in the crate that made her freeze on the spot.
A arm was hanging over the side. A arm that was covered in something red and sticky. A word came to her mind. Blood. She knew what blood was. A compulsion then overtook her, and she grabbed onto the appendage, the thudding stopping instantly. It was soon replaced by something even more creepy.
Thump-thump, Thump-thump
The sound created a eerie beat in the still air, echoing around the hallway. Ruse gritted her teeth, feeling around the arm and in the create itself. She felt the soft body the arm was attached too, but more importantly, she was led to the source of the new sound. A warm, beating red heart.
The shadow stood back, staring at the crate and the body inside. How long she stood there in that spot was unknown, but she was smart enough to piece everything together. The create would not move. She had a pair of scissors.
She needed a heart.
Ruse could not believe she was doing this. Both her mind and body recoiled away from the task, but she forced herself to get on with the grizzly business. She recalled the goddesses words; this body had not made it. It was just a body, right? Like the misshapen robots she had fought.
Her scissors cut away at the first layer, making a hole big enough so she could feel her way around. Already her fingers were covered with the sticky liquid from within as she felt the two sacks of air inflate and deflate. These were quickly cut, and she shuddered at the squelching and slurping sounds, her hands making the liquid overflow into the box. This revolted her, but she had to keep going. She forced the other un-important parts out of the way, giving her room to cut a bigger hole around the heart. She began to cut around the wires that secured it inside-
"POKERUUSSSSSSSSSSSS"
A hissing screech shattered the air. Clawed hands grasped at her arms, and she had the brief impression of cold, reptilian eyes staring into her own soul. She screamed, pulling away from the grasping hands and falling to the ground, the scissors clattered next to her.
She sat there for a while, her body shaking violently from the experience. It took some time before she was able to get to her feet, moving back to resume her ghastly duty. The figure did not move again as she pulled out the heart.
A memory flared inside her mind-
"Pokerus, come here and meet your Aunty Theodora. She's come to visit you!
A young child stood before her Aunt before the first time, staring up at the adult with wide, curious eyes. She was met with a friendly smile from her Aunt, as she bent down to pet the little girl.
"Why hello there little one." She hissed through her teeth. "I'm so glad to meet you. I'm your Aunty Thegora. You can call me Theo if you'd like."
She could feel the sharp edges of her claws p***k the back of her head. She wanted to move away from this hissing lady, she wasn't sure she liked her very much. She showed her aunt her teeth, making odd squeaking sound, her attempt to intimidate her aunt with a growl.
"My, aren't you just the cutest! And look how sharp your teeth are... such a fine young predator you are. I can't wait to see how strong your bite is. Ah, if only I had a young human to feed you...I know you'd like the taste...
The vision ended just as she had cut the last wire. The heart stopped beating, and with unsteady hands she placed the organ into the small bag.

Ruse needed to get out of here as fast as possible. She didn't want to be around this awful place any longer. Her feet carried her away at a brisk pace, holding the bag tightly as she sought to return to the temple. But the more she walked the more she became aware of the floor becoming more slippery, her feet splashing through the liquid as it created puddles. At first she freaked, looking down only to realize it was water.
She relaxed, but not for long. When she looked up again she was faced with a dead end, and if she wasn't mistaken, the water in here was rising. It sloshed at her legs, soaking her clothes and chilling her to the bone.
A hissing voice whispered behind her. She whizzed around, her own heart beating rapidly as she sought the owner. But there was nothing, nothing except the rapidly rising waters. Quickly she waded through the water, searching for another way out. Soon it was above her chest, and she struggled to move forwards. Where the hell was all this water coming from?!
She turned around to go backwards before the place filled up with water.
The hissing returned, the voice more demanding, growling, snarling in her ear.
Strong hands grabbed at her neck and pulled her under. Ruse struggled with all her might to free herself as she was pulled deeper and deeper into the abyss. Her lungs burned from lack of oxygen, her vision filled with swirling black and freezing cold. Terror as she had never felt before surged through her body. She knew what held onto her with a vice like grip, threatening to squeeze the life out of her as she waited. Waited for her to run out of air, Enjoying her feeble attempts to escape.
With cold clarity her mind revealed more-
She hated this place. Why did she have to be here. It was dark and it was cold and it was full of bones and death and it smelt bad. It smelt of decay. Of evil. Nothing like the cool caverns of her parents lair.
Aunty Theo was talking again. She was telling Pokerus about her greatest triumph. It was her aunts favorite story and she had heard it many times before, and with every retelling it became just a little more gruesome and terrible. How 500 years ago her aunt had escaped to the human world, and under the cover of darkness she had located a small human village. And in a few hours she had decimated the village, killing and devouring everyone nearby. How the FEAR surged through her body with every victim she tore to shreds, how the children cried for their mothers, how lovers screamed as their betrothed were taken from then. Her Aunt cared nothing of this, thought herself above the measly humans and their petty lives. Cared nothing for the boogeymen and their petty restrictions. All she cared about was feeling their FEAR as she drowned them.
She hated this place. Hated this story, and hated her Aunt for telling her.

She was drowning. She was drowning and her Aunt was the one doing it. Those cold eyes stared at her as she choked on the water, knowing she didn't have much longer. Either she did something about this now, or she died right here. Gripping the scissors in her hand, she thrust them deep into her Aunt's chest. The dragon screeched in pain, A unbearable screaming filled her ears.
Then nothing, as she stood on solid ground with not a trace of water in sight.
Immediately she hunched over, coughing up the water and taking in deep, wonderful breaths of air as she saw the light, the light from a door that lead to the temple.
"Finally...." She heaved, then something caught her eyes. A cold, unnerving stare from-
She didn't bother to look back as she all but leaped through the door.

Task 2 The first words the goddess spoke left Rusekop wondering what she had meant. She could not escape? Since when had she been trying to escape? With a frown she listened more to what was being said. The words resonated deep within her; They were a challenge to her ability and skill to survive. She stayed still when the goddess circled her, her verbal pondering giving her motivation. The goddess wondered what the answer to this mystery was, and she would be glad to give it to her; Rusekop was not one who was eaten. She could feel it deep inside; this shadow did not like being pushed around by anyone or anything. When given the dagger, Ruse gripped onto it tightly, listening more to the task that was being set. A challenge, a sacrifice. Bold words, though she wasn't sure what she had that could be sacrificed. Besides her life, that was. With the goddess gaze burning holes in the back of her head, she headed to the small opening that lead her the beginning of her task.

It was freezing.
Ruse shifted a little on the table, opening her eyes and then closing them against the bright light. She couldn't remember how she got to this place, nor how she fell asleep. Some trick of the goddess perhaps?
Hopping off the table, she rubbed her ears at the painful humming sound. Not very loud, but the noise grated on her senses. There was nothing around here, so she hastily moved through the open door and into the hallway, which was just as bright and annoying as the first room. She didn't like this empty clean place at all, and picked up her pace. She needed to get out of here...
Thud
...The hell was that?
She looked around, seeing nothing behind her. Ruse made sure she still had the dagger on her as she kept going, only to hear the sound again. She turned around again-
When the ******** did they get here?!
She stood there, frozen on the spot as she stared at it. And it stared right back at her. It was nothing short of creepy as s**t, and her mind was screaming at her to Run for everything you got. She took one step and-
"AHHHHHH!" Okay she couldn't help it, they had just appeared closer and she bolted for it.

Using every curse word she knew, Ruse sprinted as fast as she could down the hallway, but her escape was shortt lived as she all but slammed into a door. In a panic she tried to open it, and found it wouldn't budge
"Come on you stupid thing!" She shouted, stepping back to kick and punch with everything she had. Only ten did she realize that on the door it said, in bright red letters, 'Password required'
"You have got to be shitting me"
She looked behind to see where the figure was, only to have her vision blurred-
There was a long, drawn out sigh as her Aunt shook her head, acting as if she was exasperated. "Really pokerus. You shouldn't be so soft hearted! There is no need to care for them so much. They are so fragile, live only a fraction of our lives. They understand nothing about us.

It was hard to concentrate when she knew the figure was so close. She was so focused on trying to open the door that she lost her footing. Cursing again, she pushed at the doors with all her might, but all she received was the taunting of the one behind her.
She didn't care about what it was saying, she couldn't remember any of the stuff it was talking about anyway.

Looking around to see if there was anything she could use, Ruse spotted the paper and picked it up. She could tell it was important and could be used to open the door, but she hadn't a clue how to use it.
"Dammit!" She punched the door again, feeling her pursuer draw closer.

Unable to resist, she looked around once more, finding her mind blurring as it did before.
Yes Pokerus, this is how it is done. You hold them down. They will struggle. The struggle will not last long. It is the easiest way to dispatch them.

Stuff it, she was just gonna work on bashing this door down. Ruse pushed as hard as she could, using every ounce of strength to try and push the door open, while her Aunt taunted her, telling her she could not hunt, she could not protect anyone, she was a failure to her family and to herself.

As she punched the door over and over, she saw another piece of paper out of the corner of her eye. Picking it up, she looked at the first piece she saw and understood.
putting the numbers in, the door opened, and Ruse bolted out of the door, fear lending her speed.

Ahead of her was a bridge, and she could already tell that the bright was old and rickety and like to break if she placed one foot on it. Of course it was like that. Because everything was just out to get her at the moment.
Ruse practically flew over the bridge, jumping and running as fast as she could, as soon as she crossed it, she felt something grab her shoulders, claws digging into her skin as something else pieced her back.
"STAY AWAY!" She half shouted, half screamed, running even faster.

Up ahead was another obstacle, and Ruse knew she wouldn't be able to get past this one. It was now, or never. She turned around, ready to face her pursuer, the dagger she had now glowing a bright red as the goddesses voice fillied her mind. She raised the dagger towards her Aunt-
She was crying now. Pokerus could hardly see with the amount of tears in her eyes. She had saved the small scareon from the bullies, only to bring it back with her to her Aunts place. Her aunt had wanted to teach her 'scaring' techniques, but she was always left to believe they were more harsher then they needed to be.
This proved all too true. For Aunt Theo had told her to use her scareon as a subject to test her abilities on.
"Thats it Pokerus! Sink your teeth into it! Donn't hold back, This is how it's done!!"
She shouldn't have listened, should have said no and stomped off like she usualy did. But she did, and now she could see her new friend dissipating, never to come back.
Her Aunt just stood over her, shaking her head.
"Why do you cry? It was only a minipet. There are plenty more just like that one. It is not becoming to feel sorrow over ones prey, for they are weaker then you. They do not matter.
The shadow flinched, as the other struck first.

She saw the blacked remains of the body draw nearer, and she gripped her fists. She would not go down like this, would run no longer. She raised her dagger a second time, bearing her teeth in some primitive instinct to intimidate. The being just placed a hand on her head, stopping her completely. Ruse wanted to shout, to scream at the indignity of losing so easily. Fear was laced within this anger as she knew she was about to die. In her ears she could hear the loud sounds of something thudding. It didn't take long for her to realize it was her own heart.
The thing spoke, cooing and telling her not to worry. Screw that, she wanted to fight back. Move body, punch it, stab it. JUST DO SOEMTHING.
Nothing happened, no matter how much she willed it to. A loud snip was heard, a flash of pain, and the figure walked away with her heart. She wanted to reach for it, to shout at the thing to give it back to her.
