Day 1:
Reaching the shrine, not only did she find that one of the podiums contained no statue, but one of the goddesses was actually there before her. A little in awe, she blinked, taking the bag offered to her. When prompted to open it, she did, but only found that it contained nothing at all. First thinking it of some sort of jest, it was then the goddess realized her error. The figure, Xeiimu, watched, waited and listened to the goddess patiently, curious of what it was she was asking her to do.
She was to retrieve a heart? Someone's heart? Strangely enough, she found herself agreeing to take on this request, as she reached for the scissors when handed to her with little hesitation. If this was to be the goddesses task for her, than she would seek out the heart she has tasked her to find, and bring it back to her. Though, she was a little suspicious of what all this task would require for her to do, or what it was she meant of them having 'not quite made it'. All in good time she supposed.
Turning, she cast the goddess a quick glance before making her way though the thin opening. It was then she came across the three gates. Eying each with uncertainty, she finally settled with the third gate as her choice.

Entering the third gate was quite possibly a mistake. Everything inside it was complete and utter darkness, that she barely even see her hand in front of her face, let alone the path ahead. Considering of possibly moving for another gate was also thwarted, when the door suddenly closed behind her. Letting loose a small sigh of frustration, she continued forth.
The whispers of an unknown, yet familiar name, as well as the sound of a distant thud like noise was enough to send chills down her spine. Were she able to at least see anything..
Walking into something, Xeiimu quickly steadied herself, placing her hand on whatever it was she had collided with to brace herself. After having quickly regained her footing, she began to investigate just what it was she had found.
A crate?
Well, the goddess had mentioned before that there was a bit of a clutter building up. Perhaps this was one of things she had mentioned? Upon further investigation, she then noticed the object within the box, and the arm sticking out. Reaching out to grab it, it was then the thudding finally ceased.
Feeling along the arm, she continued to inspect what it was she had found, as she reached in further and further until she then found it. Was this what she was to bring back? The heart? Placing her hand over it, she stared down upon it, unsure of what she was to do now. Was she supposed to cut it out..?
The eeriness the darkness brought was enough to hasten her decision, as she began to cut away at the odd texture that contained the heart. The process was long and troublesome, especially with not having been able to see anything, but finally she was able to pull the heart free.
Mei-Xiu!
Frozen, she nearly jumped when the arm grabbed and clawed at her.
"You know I don't like you hanging around that ghoul. She's a horrible influence on you. Surely, you can make better friends."
Stunned, she shook her head, trying to rid herself of the shock. What was that? Some sort of vision? A memory? Either way, she had what she had come for. She needed to get out of here.

Struggling to find her way back, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was being followed. More than once she would stop to turn and see what the sloshing sound was that continuously getting louder every moment.
As if to ignore it, she tried to focus on just what it was she had seen before. She knew neither of who appeared in the memory, yet somehow.. it felt so familiar to her. She couldn't place her finger on it, but it was something that was sure to nag at her mind.
"Please give it back."
Stopping once again, she then again glanced over her shoulder, even called out to see if anyone was there. But it was only the same as before. Nothing was there. But surely.. something had to be. Contemplating whether to go and search for it or to continue on, she then decided to keep moving. She had no idea what was there, but she didn't like the thought of what could be following her.
With each step, she cringed as the floor began to feel off from what it was like before. On top of that, their was water, and as she proceeded, it only got deeper. It wasn't long before she was neck deep, and still no sign of any door. She had to go bac--
"Please give me back my-"
Caught unguarded, she felt two hands upon her, pushing her down and under the water. Struggling to fight their hold, she was unable to best them, and only found herself being pushed further and further down. A pain shot through her, and soon she began to feel her existence fading.
"If its what you want, then you should do it. You have to choose your own path, I can't choose it for you." Again with the visions? She didn't need this right now!
"Give me back my heart."

Finally having enough, she figured it was to be her or them. She had just received this body, and she wasn't about to give it up just yet. Not for anyone.
Gripping the scissors in hand, she thrust them forward and into the figure who held her down, a little satisfied when she heard them shriek out in pain. Finally, as they vanished, so did the water. Coughing up whatever she had swallowed, she checked her bag, confirming she still had her prize.
With the exit now in view, she made a run for it. Glancing over her shoulder to see if she was followed, she instead caught a glimpse of what appeared to be her attacker glaring after her, now holding the scissors she had used.
Best she didn't stick around for them to get their own revenge on her.

Day 2:
Meeting the goddesses gaze, Xeiimu approached her as she hoped down to greet and circle around her. She knew not of what she was speaking of, though her words piqued her curiosity. "Eat or be eaten..?" Was this a do or die situation she was to be sent in to? Just what was she asking for her to do?
Taking the weapon when handed to her, she eyed the dagger with a look of interest. She was to learn to fend for herself, or fall prey to another, was she? That was her task?
"Fine." Tucking the blade away, she turned, making her way to the thin opening and begin her next task.

Waking to a cold room, Xeiimu immediately sat up to survey her surroundings. When and how did she get here? Did she come here herself? She didn't recall having done so.. And when had she fallen asleep? Already, she was in a bit of a panic, as she stumbled towards the door.
Pulling it open, she found the hall to be as equally bright, enough so that this place was already beginning to irritate her. Not wishing to linger here long, she started down the hall, taking slow and easy steps. Last thing she needed now, was to fall flat on her face.
Rubbing at her eyes, she cast a glance back at the room upon hearing something slam. Finding nothing there, only an empty room, and the door still open, she continued on.
The exit was now in sight, and not a moment too soon. The faster she got out of here, the better.
Thud
Spinning around, she braced herself against the wall, madly searching th hall for any sign of what was causing the noise. Again, there was nothing, and she started for the exit again.
Thud
Turning back for a final time, it was then she finally saw it. A figure across the hall, and in the room: staring back at her - watching her.
Frozen in her spot, she merely watched them a moment, finally urging herself to move as the sound of them moving closer reached her ears. She had to go. Now!

In her haste, she nearly missed the piece of paper on the ground to her left. Quickly glancing back at the creature following her, she made a grab for the item, before hurrying on. She had to get out, and get out now!
Looking over the paper, she lifted a brow, confused. "What the hell...!?" What was she supposed to do with this?

Desperately pushing at the door, she glanced over her shoulder to find that they were still approaching at a steady pace.
Why wouldn't the doors open!? Why?
"How can you work with them? You betray your friends, your family - everyone you have ever known! Don't think they won't find out!"
Betray who? She had no idea what they were even speaking of! She didn't know anyone enough to betray them!

Still pressing at the door, she moved on to trying to pry them open, hoping to ignore the figures taunts as they continued to approach her.

Finally, in her panic, she noticed another piece of paper on the ground. Reaching for it, she found it to be the other half of the paper she already held. Punching in the code, she practically stumbled through the door, not wishing to allow her stalker to catch her.

Making it outside, she quickly took note of the grey trees in the distance. Finally, some cover to hide herself in. Glancing over her shoulder, she saw them still. Slowly, yet steadily pursuing her. Sprinting forward, she held her hands to her ears, in a poor attempt to try and block the sound of the scissors as well as their taunts. She couldn't let him take her heart! She wouldn't!
Reaching the bridge, she hurried to cross it. Upon crossing, one of the boards snapped, and her foot now caught. "No no no no!" Tugging with all her strength, she was unable to pull herself free. She had to make a choice.
Staring down at the dagger in her hand, she swallowed hard. Without any further thought, she began to hack away at her own leg.
After a few tries, she was finally able to cleave her foot clear off, though the pain was nearly unbearable. If she wasn't running for her life, she would likely not have moved.
Pulling herself up, she hobbled along, thankful for the fact her foot was already beginning to regenerate, though not nearly fast enough for her liking. They were close. Too close. She had to move!

Reaching a dead end, she dropped to the ground, clutching at her leg. Taking note of the building in the background, she glanced down at her dagger, which was now glowing a bright red. The words of the goddess echoed in her mind, as she gazed upon the figure approaching her. Now or never.
Picking herself up, she gripped at the dagger, furrowing her brow.
A fragment of a memory played out in her mind, revealing to her a bit of the past she had forgotten. What she had done to this figure. But the name they had called her.. she knew not.
Without further thought, she lunged for them, as they too for her. With a little luck, she managed to strike at them first, plunging the blade deep into their chest. Watching as they fell, followed by quick dissipation, she then turned for the exit.
She was so done with this place.
((gfdkg this is all probably horribly written, but I'm too tired to do better right now. @@))
