Riley felt a lot better after Berrie gave her a hug. It really...grounded her. "Yeah!" she exclaimed, a bit hopped up on adrenaline now. "That'd be really fun! I haven't see much aside from this place with all the food," she laughed. Also, if they walked around, maybe she could spot "Mom" (Scarlett), if she really was here.
Amalia, who had curled her paws around Lua's arm and was enjoying herself very much with her tail swishing back and forth, paused. After the soft brush of Lua's lips on her head left, Amalia tilted her head to look up, ears pressing back and down against the girl's tummy. < Berrie...named? You are...pokemon? All Amalia knew was that trainers tended to name their pokemon. Or, or, like Kuraz said, parents. < Berrie...mom? > Amalia dangled her legs back and forth, waiting for an answer.
Kuraz's deep red fur showed no blush, but when Spirit rubbed against him, the feeling was not unpleasant. He wanted to say something clever in response, but he found his jaw was just a bit parted and he clearly didn't have the mental capacity to send her a coherent thought. Then she was away, and he was coughing to himself, and Amalia was giving him an innocent look that he was positive had sly undertones. Now that his attention wasn't seized by Spirit, Kuraz began to notice the general unease of the fair's collective aura. He stood and joined the trainers. "Spirit is right. However..." Kuraz's eyes went from Amalia to Riley.
Riley nodded to Kuraz. She couldn't exactly ignore what was happening...a massive Golurk attacking the fair? A crazy man threatening violence because that earlier announcement had been ignored? Kuraz and Spirit's remarks convinced Riley this wasn't some kind of fair event, either. Before she could make a decision, an aipom ran up, threw itself at Riley, and slammed its hand into her bag. It found the button of a pokeball and disappeared inside moments before some team Plasma grunts ran out from the same direction. They ran right past, not realizing the aipom was right under their noses. "Wh-what just happened?" Riley pulled out the pokeball, confused. But once again, she didn't really have time to react, because the man accompanying the giant Golurk had made a loud proclamation. "Berrie. I don't like what that guy's saying at all. Someone's gotta stop him." She gulped. That Golurk was huge. But she had been to the Distortion World. She could face anything.

Seul and Vanyel were making their way back to Riley when a woman from a tent they were walking past gasped. Vanyel yelped as he was seized by the waist and lifted. In an instant, the woman that had grabbed him was holding empty air and Vanyel was safely on the ground, shaking from the quick teleport. "Oh! I'm sorry, little one! I just saw you alone, with those wounds..." The woman felt terrible seeing the kirlia's reaction- she had only meant to help. So many poor pokemon had been walking past hurt and with no trainer in sight. What was going on?
Seul muttered to Vanyel and then urged him on. Vanyel crossed his arms in agitation but stepped forward, and the woman bent down to help his wounds. His gaze wandered, trying to distract himself, and he found himself staring at a chilly frosslass. Seul sat himself down nearby to wait. The woman seemed to know how to treat Vanyel without a pokeball, but it might take a little while.

Once healed up and out of her ball Prim took it upon herself to instantly reunite with Klefki, an action that, although he didn't approve, he didn't try to dissuade her; which was more than enough for her. With a gleeful expression she began to circle him once more, weaving in and out in her peculiar dance. Klefki simply blinked and didn't bother trying to follow her movements, he wasn't keen on getting himself dizzy, though he did have to wonder why she continued to do this. It was odd, to say the least.

At one point in her odd dance Prim stopped entirely, her eyes lowering and then dilating before they fell back into her 'normal position', which only proved to... unsettle Klefki. If he didn't know any better he'd start to think that her brief kidnapping had... effected the Floette in someway, though her actions before the event had been similar. So... maybe she was just an odd one? Yes, that seemed plausible. He'd have to keep an eye out for her.

Huey was preparing himself to head back out, his plan the same as before: instigate another fight with a Plasma grunt, when he noticed Prim acting strangely around Klefki, once more. Curious, as well as just a tad bit concerned, he turned to watch the two, and possibly intervene if Klefki showed himself to be too annoyed with Prim's antics. He'd yet to show any sign, but it was always good to keep an eye out.. he totally understand all that Prim did. With his back turned this left Yuki and Tybalt on lookout, and although neither of the two expected anything to happen, it was always a good idea to stay vigilant.
It was during her sweep of their surroundings that Yuki felt a pair of eyes on her and, with a quick search, eventually found herself staring back at an Absol. She stiffened and, after a moment, narrowed her eyes at the creature, made both suspicious and nervous about the pokemon looking in her direction. "Huey.." she reached out telepathically for her trainer, the cautious tone in her voice instantly garnering his attention. He turned away from Prim and Klefki, leaving them to their devices, and peered over at her, "what is it, Yuki?" Pale blue orbs flickered away from the Absol, just for a moment, so as to allow her to look up at her trainer. "That Absol... is staring at me." Huey looked up, curious, and then around before he spotted the pokemon in question, laying down several feet away.
"Oh!" The boy relaxed, having been afraid it'd been something serious, then laughed. "Maybe it wants to be your friend! Wanna go say hi?" Yuki opened her mouth, more than prepared to reject the idea, only to close it and then practically wilt as Huey moved away to confront the Absol. "Hello there!" he chirped and even offered a wave to the pokemon. "Were you staring at Yuki because she's so pretty?" he teased and then giggled as, from behind him, Yuki made a sound akin to a stuttering squeak and hiss. Despite her brief embarrassment from being called 'pretty', Yuki was quick to compose herself and easily enough placed herself directly in front of Huey, clearly wary of this strange pokemon; even if her trainer wasn't.

While Sebastian handled the whole healing ordeal for Spade and Gin, Naps had decided to take a look around. It was the first time he’d really been out and about in a while and for now, he wasn’t feeling like his narcoleptic self. As if that were something he could truly control in the first place. But no, instead he was taking an interest in some of the festivities going on. Not only did the place smell delicious –was this a food court place? It smelt like it- but the games they had going on looked rather fun. He was big enough to give them a go by himself too, something he definitely intended to do.
Lumbering up to a nearby bean bag toss game, he eyed the little bags curiously as the attendant wearily handed them to him. What was he supposed to do, throw these things? Evidently, yes. The attendant was gesturing to a board with holes cut into it, urging him to throw them. Naps squeaked in understanding before chucking the bags and managing to land two of them in the hole. He gave a squeak of triumph, blinking and staring at the strange coins he was handed in a small bucket. What the hell were these?

Actually, hadn’t he seen Sebastian exchanging some of these at the prize booth moments ago? They could win more of them? Could they eat them? He was actually just a bit hungry again and maybe he’d take these tokens and get food. If that was a thing. Or maybe he’d give them to Sebastian to use and maybe get food in exchange. Yah that was an excellent idea! With that idea firmly cemented in his mind, Naps moved over to try another game, something involving a crossbow?
It probably wasn’t safe for him to be using such a device, but that didn’t really stop him. In a moment he was firing the mounted crossbow option they had, scoring himself a few shots on the target. That stuff was really hard to use; how did humans do it? Like hands, they were an absolute requirement in order to use these devices weren’t they?

Team OOB:
✿ ❀ Isis chuckled a bit as Leon saw the connection between the two fire types' mannerisms, agreeing that Vixen's commentary felt like something Ren would probably say. Though that didn't dissuade him from complimenting her. Vixen posed rather proudly, her already inflated ego puffing up visibly. "Oh my~ I appreciate the compliments, but perfection like this doesn't come from sitting around in dirty holes. I shan't remain her for long, but I suppose I'll stay for the company. Flattery gets you everywhere darling. Isis, where did you get this charmer?" The ninetales asked, smiling up at her trainer with a big grin. "Heh~ Well it was--" Isis started to explain, but paused when Nova sneezed. Or at least, that's what Isis assumed it was, but it was more of a squeak, a rather adorable one at that. Isis giggled. "Bless you! Goodness Nova, nose tickling?" Isis chuckled, offering the gardevoir a napkin before taking a moment to recall what she'd been talking about before. "Ah! Right, it was at that halloween ball two years ago... I think you were still off protecting Rose at the time, so I guess you two just missed each other." Isis pointed out.
Vixen tilted her head lightly in thought, ear flicking lightly as she recalled the events. "Hm... Yes, I suppose we did. Pity." She gave Leon a fox like grin. "I could have used the extra compliments~" Her attention then turned to Ren however, greeting the other vulpix in Leon's lap. He seemed to be a kindred spirit from what she'd heard, just as appreciative of a nice clean, well kept coat. It showed too, he did look soft and well groomed, which Vixen could appreciate. Even so, he seemed rather awestruck by her presence. "Hmhm~ Aren't you as charming as your trainer?" Vixen smiled, her tails swaying happily. She could get used to this. As Leon and Isis dug into their meals though, Ren was moved to the floor, much to his displeasure. "Ah... I pity you, but your trainer's right. A little dirt is bad, but food spilling on your fur is far worse." Vixen murmured.
Atona gave a bit of a disgruntled chuckle as Fynx suggested that a love triangle must have been stressful. "More than you can imagine...." Atona sighed, rubbing his temples. He felt a headache coming on just thinking about it. Or maybe that was just Nova reaching out to them, asking if they mentioned her name. Fynx was a bit surprised by Nova's range, but Atona wasn't. She was a psychic type, and a mega at that, so the fact that her range exceeded Fynx's expectations was understandable, much like how Fynx's ability surprised Atona from time to time, simply because he wasn't used to that much power. "Nova.... So kind of you to join us." Atona remarked, mildly amused. "We were just pitying your situation, being the feeling pokemon in our little group. I have a hard enough time managing the auras." He explained, lamenting a bit about relationships and their natural complexity.
Fynx seemed to be of a differing opinion however, leaning in close and suggesting that relationships didn't have to be complicated, running her paw along his chest. Atona blinked, taking a hesitant step back. He was feeling a bit uncomfortable by the gesture, but Fynx persisted, insisting that it was often the people involved that made things complicated when they didn't have to be. She brushed up against his chest spike, causing Atona to back up again, swallowing dryly and trying to find the words to respond, but his movement caused him to bump into the berry bobbing station behind him. Water sloshed over, jostled by the hit and splashing over the unsettled lucario. Atona's ears fell, his fur now slightly soaked, leaving the jackal annoyed. "I... Suppose that's true...." He agreed lamely, though it was obvious he didn't believe his own words. "But some people are just complicated to begin with, so it's hard to avoid.... Excuse me." He mumbled, stepping away to find something to dry himself off with, and get some space between himself and Fynx. ✿ ❀

Okay he was slowly getting the handle on these games. Or at least, Naps thought he was. Apparently, he'd have to go back through and give them all a go again just to be certain. So long as Sebastian was occupied of course and didn't mind. Which really, knowing that guy, he probably wouldn't. Taking his time to try and figure out the best method of berry bobbing before deciding 'face first, with force' was the way to go, Naps emerged with a mouth full of berries. Aw yes, that was how you won it! With a muffled cheer he pretty much swallowed the berries whole, hiccuping and turning to try another game when one of the grunt fellows from before blocked his path. Actually, there seemed to be a bunch of them now and some weird guy in a puffy coat calling for their freedom.
Naps was a bit confused by it all. He was personally happy with his status. He could eat and sleep when he wanted and in turn all he had to do was burn things down when Sebastian gave the order. Which really wasn't hard and made him feel all the more mightier. Soon though, one of those grunts was shoving his way screaming about that liberation nonsense and he became concerned. Naps had half a thought to light the fool on fire as he sent out a crocodile looking pokemon, but before he could so much as puff his cheek up, found an odd little turtle flashing into existence and blocking the challenger. In no time flat, despite a rather nasty bite, she'd laid the Krokorok to rest and sent the grunt scrambling back.
Naps stared a moment at the turtle curiously. She seemed familiar but he couldn't quite place it. Of course soon, she was glowing and a new form was left in her place, one that she quickly seemed to take a liking to as she looked herself over. Aw yeah, now this was a pro looking appearance if she'd ever seen one! Dixie was grinning as she wiggled her newly obtained ears and tail, looking herself over with some pride. Who knew she was so close to evolving? Hopefully, Sebastian would notice she was out and about.

The Gardevoir chuckled with slight embarrassment as she took the napkin from Isis, her trainer at this point resigned to simply waiting for the others to finish their meals. ”T-Thank you, Isis. Just feeling a slight brush is all, I suppose.” Zero gave her a soft pat as she wiped her nose, before returning to his silence. Nova, curious as to why she suddenly felt that brief chill and thinking on an old, human superstition, suddenly projected her voice onto Atona, who was off in the distance, near the fair’s main entrance. The horns she had in place of ears twitched slightly as she heard Fynx there as well, but otherwise showing no physical signs of psychically conversing.
”I felt a chill, and remembered an old saying about people talking about oneself.” She explained, trying to simply skim over her reasonings and continue into the conversation. A light, uncertain chuckle rang out again that no doubt would’ve otherwise come with rubbing the back of her head, and a wave off of Fynx’s compliment, had they all been together. ”N-No, it’s nothing, I just had an idea of what to look for is all.” Fortunately, Atona soon explained that chill that ran up her spine, lamenting his inability to fully manage with the complexity of the relationships they found themselves beside of. ”Ah, I see… Well, I mean, I’ll admit it is pretty difficult at times. Even when I’m prepared for them, the surge of emotions from both Isis and Zero is beyond overwhelming, even just one of them is enough to keep me to the sides, just trying to maintain myself.” Nova explained, evidently a bit of sadness in her voice. ”Put them together and it’s frankly pretty easy for me to lose myself in those oceans of mixed emotions. I have to lock up and stay out of things just to keep myself in mind.
“Even then, I’d be lying if I didn’t say some of it doesn’t bleed into me, and separating whose feelings are who’s has gotten harder and harder… Even when it’s just us sitting here Zero’s got countless things running through his entire being, so many emotions, and things even I can’t quite pin down what they are…” The Gardevoir began to trail off, not realizing her voice was growing quieter and quieter the more she spoke, but she soon adjusted herself. You could practically see the defensive hand waving she might’ve done if they were all together. B-But, I mean, it’s not all that bad. There’s plenty of bad, but I also feel all the good that’s coming from them. The love, the joy, the elation, and I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that a lot of my mannerisms haven’t come from Zero or Isis.” As Nova’s voice rambled on, it almost seemed like her outline was imposed on the world beside the two psychics, though it was little more than just her lingering presence with them. ”To be honest, I’m always kind of worried of what all will bleed in and what carries over into me. I’d rather not pick up a lot of the bad habits from our trainers or anything that’s… not readily apparent, perhaps.”

Jay gave a bit of a smile. "Alright..." he conceded. His brow furrowed when Sebastian mentioned that he had already told him about the egg. It took him a second, but... eventually he did remember. "Oh yeah... Wait, it still ain't hatched yet?" he asked in surprise. He didn't really know how long something like that took, but.... honestly he thought it would have hatched by this point. He frowned some as he thought back to his recent concern. "Did you have it when ya got involved with thuh whole... nearly gettin' killed savin' Rummy, thing?" he asked worriedly. Hopefully the egg was still okay....
He lifted his head as Sebastian's attention seemed to shift to his pokemon and he checked how they were doing. Jay listened, trying not to eavesdrop or focus on the conversation too much, and instead split his focus to their surroundings. There was still a lot going on. He frowned at the odd tone that escaped Sebastian as he checked inw ith the mightyena. "Everythin' alright?" he asked. He paused, then shifted, adjusting the incubator in his arms. "Sebastian' ahm hearin' somethin' odd uh li'l ways off. Like uh speech 'r somethin'. Yew mind if we check it out?" he asked. He felt... nervous, from what he heard. He wanted to make sure Mimey and the others were okay...

"Ah no, it hasn’t actually."S Sebastian remarked at the question, looking curious for a moment. Was it supposed to have hatched by now? He’d never actually dealt with an egg after all. He’d ask about it later. He was made a little concerned though as the cowboy inquired if he’d still had the egg on him when it came to the whole ‘attempting to rescue Rummy thing’, face squishing up a bit in uncertainty. That was quite the question and one that probably deserved an answer.
"Ahhh…. No. No not really." He had dropped his bag when he went to dive for Rummy, though that probably wasn’t any better. And he didn’t quite want to admit that much either. Still, the incubator was tough and it looked intact as did the egg. So he decided not to worry. "It’s fine though. Don’t worry about it Jay. The egg is safe." He remarked.
Standing back to his feet, Sebastian glanced back at Jay, smile returning to his face. "Yeah, everything’s fine. I think Spade and Gin are stronger if anything." He remarked, reaching out to take the incubator for Jay once more. "Thanks for holding my egg, by the way. I’ll take it now." He remarked. When Jay mentioned something about a speech though, he blinked and quirked an eyebrow, shifting to take a listen as well. There was … someone talking indeed. However what really caught Sebastian’s attention was what appeared to be a rather oversized golem lumbering nearby. "A-ah…," He was caught off guard at the sight. "Ah… sure… sure. Let’s go." He remarked, ushering his pokemon along as they started in the direction of the commotion. He did have to pause a moment when he found Naps and the Wartortle. Where’d that come from?

Jay was still frowning a little. He sort of wondered if maybe they should just ask someone how long it usually took for an egg to hatch, but, ah.... perhaps now wasn't the right time. "Mm, ahlright," he murmured. He trusted Sebastian to keep track of his egg. Mostly. His recent discoveries on Sebastian's... lacking knowledge admittedly had him a little uncertain on how much he should trust his friend, especially in the ways of pokemon, but it was... probably safe to assume that the egg was fine. Sebastian wasn't an idiot or anything. He just wasn't fully caught up on everything.
He shifted as he waited, and lifted his head as Sebastian answered his question. "Well that's good. 'N no problem," he replied back, holding the egg out a bit. He let Sebastian take it back, before mentioning the speech, and reached out for Scy as his friend agreed to go take a look. Hopefully they could find MImey and the others-- and indeed, as Scy slowly, warily led the way, he could feel her voice creeping into his head. 'Jay! There you are! Koda and I and the others weren't sure whether to help or not!' He turned his head, but he couldn't really distinguish her footsteps from all the other noise going on around, so he decided to keep the conversation quiet. 'What's goin' on?''Some guy showed up. I think he's in charge or something. Should we go help fight the pokemon he brought?' she asked nervously. He frowned a bit. 'Mm, yeah.... Have Tod go 'head 'n take thuh lead,' he replied.
He lifted his head as he broke out of the telepathic conversation. "'Pparently some boss man is showin' up ta take part in thuh fight. Ahm sendin' Tod out-- yew gonna send any've yer pok'mon?" he asked, not really btohering to explain how he knew all that. Sebs could... probably put it together, especially as Tod leaped up over the crowd, flying a bit to clear them and land closer to the opponent, before unleashing an Aqua Tail attack.

-]Akela really wasn't aware of the inner turmoil that the smaller woman was suffering through. She did notice, however, that Yukie was being quite a bit quieter than usual. Gone was the loud, somewhat obnoxious boasting, but that was just because Akela had won instead. Still, the Islander girl couldn't help but wonder what would have been happening if she was in Yukie's position at this very moment. The very mystery of it made the girl tingle a bit. When they got to the food vendor area, Akela's stomach sank, spotting the giant robot-looking pokemon near another of those goons shouting about loosing the pokemon and setting them free. She nodded in response to Yukie's comment about being on guard and replied, "When will these goons just give up and stop ruining everyone's day?" She got some ice cream for each of them before they took their seats and handed one of the chilly treats to her friend, her temporary slave. Being called "ma'am" felt off, it felt wrong, and she shook her head no. "Don't call me that, Miss Yukie...No matter what happens between us, I'll always be just Akela for you. I don't need any special titles...and no personal space boundaries. You're mine and I'm gunna cuddle you to my heart's content." She didn't care about secrets or issues or anything like that.[-

Before they could go anywhere though, Spirit's warning came into effect. What the Espeon had forseen, was starting to become a real issue. There was a rather large pokemon making a spectacle, and it was accompanied by someone who was trying to get everyone to give up their pokemon. Cerbera clenched her teeth and balled her hand up into a fist. Riley was right, they couldn't just do nothing and run off.
