Asahi got a devilish smirk on his face when the Chieftain suggested that the magical koi could use a predator and he gave a chuckle. "Oh it would definitely ruin the tranquility but it was certainly make things interesting." The smirk then fell as he looked down at the koi swimming around, giving them a bit more of a softer look. "I would mean less fish as well and they would be less likely to just peacefully beg for food if they had to worry I suppose." Even if the idea had him amused, he wouldn't want the minipets to actually be harmed anyway.
Turning his attention back to the other Horseman, he brushed some of his hair out of his eyes after nodding. "Agreed, I don't think demanding would help much. The one I talked to was vague and rather insulting over all." He said then shook his head. "Of course it could be that they don't have any new information yet and it would be a waste, or it could be they do know something and aren't telling us. Neither is a good option tactically."
He had been expecting the War stallion to agree, not knowing many of the War clan to turn down a good spar, so it wasn't a surprise at the other's words and Asahi gave a grin. "Well then I do hope I can live up to expectation and do my clan proud in showing you." He said then shook Nadir's hand as he responded to his question. "A pleasure to meet you Nadir, I am Asahi."
Peril smiled a bit at BingHua. "I'd like that." Though it seemed that she was making friends with the others. He should try to do the same with the other conquest. One couldn't have too many friends.
"I'm Peril." He smiled at Xiao Lang and Jinhai. "I've found my room in tack and the way I left it. Have you all found your rooms the way they are supposed to be? I've been inspecting for any damage from yesterday but have had yet to find any."

Chao was taking a break from doing part time jobs. Her next one started in a few hours, so she decided to relax in the pavilion for a bit. The Conquest Horseman had brought her cup of tea out with her. The bench she was sitting on was located on top of one of the many bridges overlooking the waterways. As always the area was tranquil. The lotus flowers where blossoming and the part of the pavilion she was in was rather quiet, a few people here and there around her where talking but there was no shouting or arguments.
She pondered what she had learned while she sipped her tea. She and apparently everyone else had passed out and many where missing memories. How odd, she couldn’t real call much from before she woke up a few days ago. Even stranger was the fact that according to the famine sage she talked to the red crystal had been green the day before. She thought at first that maybe the crystal changed every day, but the crystal was still red which put an end to that theory. Still she had yet to go investigate the crystal itself.
A school of magic koi had gathered at the edge of the bridge watching her intently. The horseman watched them for a moment before reaching into her sleeve, taking out some minipet candies she tossed them into the water below. The Magic Koi when into a feeding frenzy as all of them wanted to get the candy and there were more koi than candy.

Nadir chuckled, having to admit that he'd feel a little bad for the koi if they were being regularly hunted. They enjoyed getting food, he enjoyed watching them feed on the treats. Why ruin a good thing? "Perhaps for them it'd be better to let things remain as they are."
This vagueness was apparently a trend of the Sages working on that floor. Regardless, it still left them effectively back at square one. No real information, and nowhere else to search for it. It was frustrating, but in a way it at least helped Nadir check off the possible avenues he could no longer take. It meant his time wasn't being wasted as he hung around there.
That, in and of itself, was a large relief.
But there was a boon to being here -- the chance of a good spar. Nadir's face lifted and he nodded in greeting to Asahi, chuckling as he considered the Noble's words. "It will be a good learning experience regardless of how things play out. That is all that can be asked of in life--to learn and improve from your losses or mistakes. Not that I suspect you will find failure in this."
He dropped the remaining treats into the water, watching the minipets gang up on the defenseless drops. Droplets of water splattered onto his legs and he snorted, amused at their enthusiasm before turning back to Asahi. "I was considering returning now, would you wish to accompany me? I can also give you my number if you wish to send me a text later, if you prefer?"
He fished the device out of his pocket and looked to the Noble expectantly.

Tanita sighed, and stared at the crystal hanging from a necklace she was wearing. It was empty, but the others she had were filled with FEAR and she could turn them in. She was so uncomfortable with this business, but she was going to do what was necessary for the clans. She tapped it, then stopped. What if she broke THIS? Oh gracious, she had better be more careful. She approached her leader, and gave a low bow to Edict. "I hope that the FEAR I have collected will help. I will try to gather more, as quickly as I can, but in the meantime, here is what I have brought." Her eyes closed for a moment, and she held out the crystals that were full, hoping to please her leader. She wasn't actually sure if she was supposed to give them to Edict, or to Crane. As such, she chose to approach Edict, under the idea that ignoring her in favor of him would be the rude option.
She really hoped she was right. She also hoped she would soon be feeling calmer, less uncertain about life. She was TIRED of feeling as though the world was constantly changing under her feet, and she was even more tired of feeling like she was about to fall into a chasm from which she could not escape. Was this how those humans felt when they were scaring them, to gather FEAR? She gave her head a slight shake, trying to knock these thoughts from her head.
[Water Pavilion] "Then it's a good thing no one is truly inclined to change things for them." Asahi gave a grin to the other stallion. The grin only got wider as Nadir agreed to a spar and he gave a nod in return. It was nice to see other's out side of his clan that had an appreciation of learning tactics though he knew there were plenty, seeing it was always better then just knowing. "So true, if you stop learning then there really isn't much point in doing things. Not that it's possible to truly stop since you learn things big and small everyday." The Conquest Noble looked around the area briefly then back to the Chieftain.
"I would be delight to join you, as well as give you my number in case you want to stay in touch." He said as he pulled out his phone to do just that. "Shall we leave as we swap numbers? I would make things faster anyway." He gave the other clansman another grin. "So, shall we go to the Conquest training grounds, or go to the War training grounds?" He asked as he got his phone ready to add Nadir's contact info and started to walk in the direction they would have to take no matter which training grounds they decided to us.
If nothing else then the next hour or so wouldn't be boring and he would get to both learn and teach at the same time. Clearly it was a no lose scenario.
[Exit with Nadir, ICly exited before part 2 happened] (Note to self: 252 words)
Chao rushed off to collect fear to feed the crystal, she wished that she could get more than one crystal at a time to save time from constantly coming back to get new ones. But she supposed it did keep the flow of fear some what constant if people had to give it instead of hoarding it to drop off all at once.
Thus she was spending the day running around trying to to collect fear and then returning to the common room to give it to Edict. "I hope this helps." She said bowing before running off to get more fear. It might be time to start hitting up hunter camps.
When he had wanted something to happen to lead to answers to what happened to them with in the time frame everyone lost memories in, he hadn't wanted something that made the situation worse. Not by a long shot. Still when they were told to go out and collect fear to help restore the power he quickly got going to do so. Sure he had to co back and forth several times to either get a new empty crystal or to drop off a newly fear filled one, but it was worth it to do his best for his clan.
The first few times he collected a new crystal to fill he alternated just what kind he would pick up, going through a bracelet, an earring, and a necklace each before settling on sticking to earrings from then on. They were less likely to get snagged on anything like a bracelet and he preferred it just a bit more then the necklaces.
America dressed up extra nice in order to drop off the crystals she'd filled up. Future Husband Crane was there right now and she just had to try making a better impression on him this time to make up for the little incident at the bank.
Sure she was still like, young, A couple of hours wouldn't fix that. But Mr. Crane needed to get a good view of America's potential. Thirty years down the road she was going to be a total babe who could command a person, a room, or an army with equal ease. One little old human lady wasn't going to tarnish her image forever, dang it!
Graciously handing over her crystals, it was perhaps unfortunate that the common rooms were already lit, otherwise the manner in which her ah...bosom fell out and rolled across the floor in opposite directions might have gone unnoticed.
Flustered, but not defeated, she picked up one of the apples that had fallen out of her robes, and took a defiant bite out of it. As a murmur rose up that the rest of the floors now had light, she nodded and announced, "You're welcome."
Crane, for once not dressed not in usual attire of a crisp, clean - and very expensive - black suit and instead a long, flowing ensemble of dark blues, whites and reds, was seated in a chair near the back of the commons, one leg crossed idly over the other. On his lap was an array of crystals, some empty, some filled, and one was in his hand, long fingers smoothing over the surface.
He looked at the apple, then at the redhead, then at the apple, then back at the redhead again.
A brow rose.
"Thank you," said Crane, a tinge of amusement in his voice, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I see you've done, ah, very well in filling your crystals."

Chao had gotten into a rhythm when it came to collecting fear, dropping off the crystal and repeating it. It took a while to gather fear, she was starting to think that attacking hunters might be faster.
Chao was surprised to see Mr. Crane out of his suit, while his current outfit still seemed very expensive, she had grown used to seeing him in a suit while she was at the bank.
Chao walked over to Edict and handed in her crystal before heading back out to gather more.
There was still some business in progress, but BingHua thought that she would drop off the bit of Fear she had collected so far before heading out again.
She'd like to come back to a well heated room, thank you very much.

Chao continued to bustle back and forth gathering fear and handing it off to Crane or Edict depending on who was free. She realized that she may be bad at banking but at least she was good at collecting fear, which was good as that was probably what she would do for a living and not banking.
America visibly began to preen under the praise. "I'm a super hard worker," she said modestly. "Like possibly the best? Or I will be, once I'm a little taller." And here she winked at Crane. "In twenty years, I'll probably be able to gather Fear much, much faster. I might even be prettier then, but it'll be hard to top all this. So be sure not to forget about me, Mr. Crane." And with that she strode out, making a dramatic exit with her head held high, even as she bent to scoop up the other apple.
