His manners also tend to be lacking, thanks to having grown up in the wilderness, and being a feral druid did not help that at all. His softer side is most often seen around his girlfriend, Adrienne, whom he loves beyond anything else, even his own life. Still, Elik is quite kind under his gruff exterior, but he is also very volatile and hard to predict. His mother's 'death' to Xun Jiang had him lashing out for years until he had no other choice but to face the truth of what had happened. He is skilled with polearms, though he prefers to fight with tooth and claw. HISTORYKNOWN FAMILYIlithor Shadowmoon / Tolyien Argentum (Father / Reincarnation) : Ilithor was Illisia's second husband, and Elik's father. Being a druid, he was not constant a presence in his son's life as Illisia was, as he slept with most of the other druids to guard the Emerald Dream, but the time spent together was good times. Ilithor died during the Week of War, while trying to save a little girl from the orcs that invaded Astranaar. Illisia Shadowmoon / Xun Jiang (Mother ? Father ? IDEK MAN) : Xun Jiang and Elik clashed for years - the druid only had the opportunity to see his mother once before the dragon took over, and since that time, all that Elik could see was the monster that devoured his mother. It would take Whisteria and Adrienne forcing him for Elik to finally face the music and sit down long enough for Ti Lung to even explain. Now the two of them have come to a mutual understanding and some sort of peace, though Elik still does not consider Xun Jiang to be his mother. Whisteria Shadowmoon (Aunt) : Whisteria is Elik's paternal aunt, and the family was close up until it was shattered by Illithor's death. Whisteria lost herself to depression and Elik was in no emotional state to help her. Faced with his mother leaping into an unknown that could likely have been certain death, Elik choose to follow her. The two would meet again years later, when he took Adrienne to visit Darnassus, and they brought Whisteria back with them, as she no longer wished to be alone. Adrienne (Mate) : Love's daughter, whom had been looking for him on his mother's behalf at the time - though sooner they grew closer and closer to the point of being very closely bonded together. From her goddess she got the ability to alter her apparence, Unlike Trickery however she is limited to humanoid shapes. Known languages: Eshurian, Common Build: 5'6, Kaylin is thin and lithe, built for speed and fast strikes rather than raw strength Hair: Brown Eyes: Slate Blue Identifiers: Her Mir'eshu tattoo on her right arm - the Zertrove blade, surrounded in smoke and roses. Since becoming aoide, her tattoo now reaches up to her shoulder, the smoke swirls continuing along to frame a raven with a rose in it's beak. When acting fully as Eshu's voice, she wears an half mask, covering the upper part of her face. The nose made the raven's beak - long enough to cover her lips and conceal them from anyone who looked at her head-on, but easily seen though by allies standing at her side. Pearl white with blacks swirls of smoke, black feathers framing the sides. PERSONALITYTo call Kaylin a firecracker would put it very, very lightly. She looks for trouble just as often as trouble seems to find her, can barely keep her big mouth in check, and will do anything if the price is right. ...At least, the last bit is what she would like you to think. In truth, she does have morals - skewed as they might be - but it was certainly easier to fly under Lorinia's radar is you looked like you had none. In truth, Kaylin loathed her life and could not wait to break free. Still, while her heart is the right place, she remains a fun-seeking braggart who often does not know where to stop (or when to shut up, for that matter.) and as such, trouble tends to stick on her like a second skin. She would just argue that at least, things are rarely boring when she is present. HISTORYKaylin is a descendant of one of the clans which, when most of the Mir'Eshu were relocated on Eshurian for their own safety, decided to remain on Aejiss in attempt to safeguard it, and prepare the path for Eshu's return. From that point on, this clan renamed itself the hidden blades. She was raised in full knowledge of her heritage, but her and her family hid it for their own safety. Her tattoo is a blade surrounded by stylized smoke and roses, and did not need to be adjusted when she turned eighteen - the smoke represents her love of smoke bombs and hiding as part of her fighting style, and the rose is representative of herself - as beautiful as she can be deadly, beauty hiding thorns. She was fated to see Eshu's return in her lifetime, and in her own eyes, by the seeress, but remained unaware of that fact. Since getting her tattoo, Kaylin has worked mostly as a mercenary - working right under Lorinia's nose, but more than ready to knife the b***h at the first opportunity she had to do so. And it seem that her opportunity to do so is finally coming up... as is her fated meeting with Eshu. Kevin had never been much of a fighter, though he had his own hand in keeping his people alive - there were less and less priestesses with each generation, as Lorinia hunted them down even more relentlessly than she did most mir'eshu. Kevin devoted his life to gathering lore, remembered secrets and digging as deep into their origins as he could - as the feathers quills adorning his blade would reveal. Not all the hidden blades were skilled in combat, and he was one of them. It was not a matter of if he would take wife and children, but when - though it would be by chance that he would meet the woman who would become his wife as a contact. They married quickly, and a year later a daughter was born - a daughter who uncannily looked like her father, and therefore was named Kaylin. Life on Aejiss under Lorinia's rule was harsh - even more so when one was mir'eshu. And yet these seemed to be light at the end of the tunnel - the priestess fated Eshu's return to be in Kaylin's lifetime. This bond allows him to speak though her, as well as allows her to ride him freely and jump to cover great distances in spite of her heavy armor. She is very skilled with using spears. Known languages: Common, bits and pieces of elven Build: 4'11, short and stocky - little in term of chest, but has abs you could do laundry on. Hair: Natural redhead, ending right above her shoulders Eyes: Red Identifiers: Her shortness, Black tipped ears ending in a very slight point. Lore's near constant presence near her PERSONALITYCadance is... Cadance. At least, that would be how Cameron would sum up his sister. She is the brash, loud, in your face (or perhaps in your chest, given her actual height) twin, often dragging her poor unsuspecting brother in trouble with her. She never backs down from a challenge, ever. She can't stand injustice at all and is always convinced that her way is the right way. Headstrong, determined, brash... Not feminine at all, pretty much. She's the tank of the twins, she loves her job, and the more beat up she gets, the more she enjoys herself. Her brother suspect that she's nuts thanks to this aspect. For her, fighting is a way of life, and she cannot see herself living any other way than being the first female dragoon in generations and dedicating herself fully and completely to what she believes in. Cadance is very emotional at a result - she has the temper so often attributed to redheads and a hair trigger. But just as she can be the most bullheaded woman you might ever meet, she can also be one of the truest friends one could ever ask for. It is always all or nothing for Cadance, no matter what she does. HISTORYBorn from an elven mother and an human father, the twin's life started rather roughly - they were forced to live with their father when the couple was separated, and the twins have no recollection of their mother howsoever - and have never been allowed in the elven lands, thanks to their status as halflings. They did not lack in love and care, however - their father did the best he could with what fate they had been given. The children did not have much, and they were never rich, but they were happy, and for their father, it was all that mattered. The elven blood in their veins made the twins predisposed to magic - Cameron was expected to grow up to resemble his father and become a mystic knight - a physical fighter that imbued their blades with magic. Cadance was expected to become a white mage, to be sheltered and protected like the fragile elves. Well, those who had been so happy to trace a path for the twins to follow would quickly learn an important lesson - the Desmond twins were just as bullheaded as their father, and also quite disinclined to stick to expectations unless they wished to do so. The older Cadance got, the more it became obvious that she took more from her father - she had the shortness of an elf, certainly, but not the delicateness. She played rough and though with the others boys and became her brother's protector from a young age. But one way, she saw a large shape streak through the sky, and her whole world changed. From the moment she laid eyes on her uncle- the knight, and his dragon, she had sworn to herself that she would become the first female dragoon in generations. This was her fate, and she would let no one tell her that she was wrong. Still, it would not be before she was 10 years old that she managed to sneak on her uncle's dragon to the Draconis Valley, the place where dragons laid their eggs, and the place where hatchlings bonded with their chosen. Her uncle was furious when he realized that he had a stowaway on board, but his dragon refused to turn back, in spite of his master's orders. The reason became clear when the red dragon was reunited with his mate - their sole surviving egg hatched, and bonded to Cadance immediately. The male dragon had sensed the girl to be his son's chosen, and allowed her on board to assure the survival of the sole egg that had made it to term. From there on, there had been no other choice - Cadance became the first female dragoon in generations, as she had always claimed, and was trained by her uncle. The family weathered Gehenna the best they could, but her uncle's dragon - and thus, her uncle herself - succumbed to the week of plague. He gave her his spear as his last wish, making her a full-blown dragoon rather than a trainee. The twin's father died to War, and from that point on the twins wandered, doing whatever they could to get by. But eventually, they got very, very lost... And the landscape that they saw no longer matched the landscape of Terra. Affiliations: Tajnevaki, his sister Primary skills: Cameron is an oiacle - skilled at perring at future possibilities as well as seeking out answers in the unseen. He is classified as a non-elemental mage - he is skilled at locking down and disabling an opponent without causing them too much harm. He can use his magic to alter his center of gravity, allowing him to fly - though he cannot do so to anyone else. He can also use fire and wind magic, to a lesser extent. Known languages: Common, bits of elven Build: 5'4, rather lanky and very frail looking. Apparences are decieving in his case. Hair: Natural Redhead, shoulders length Eyes: Purple Identifiers: black tipped ears ending in a very slight point PERSONALITYWith realization, comes clarity. With clarity comes control. Cameron is not quite the man he used to be. Still more restrained and even-tempered than his sister, but where he was once nervous and uncertain, the man stands confident and animated with a sense of purpose that was not there, before. He remains calm and even-tempered, hard to provoke and eager to listen - and most of all, help. He is a great deal more outgoing than he used to be. Where Cameron used to shy away from most human contact, he now seeks it out actively. He is also a great deal more michevious than he used to be - laughter is the best medicine, after all, and sometimes one need to ruffle some feathers to make things happen. Cameron has embraced his role of teacher and guide with open arms - and wants little more than to help others. His temper does have it's limits, of course, and the results tend to be particularly explosive if one manages to reach the end of it. It was at that time than the visions started - sights of a cocoon wrapped in bone and sinew and the red petals that would eventually melt it away. The visions were uncontrollable, but were more likely to strike under great stress. Most thought that the younger twin's mind started to unravel and strain just as the world around him did, and his visions were dismissed as the rambling of a mad man... By most, but not his sister, who saw her brother act the exact same as he always had when the visions were not taking over. Eventually, the world righted itself, out of seemingly nowhere, and the twins wandered, doing what they could to get by. But eventually, they got very, very lost... And the landscape that they saw no longer matched the landscape of Terra. Her hair is kept short, over her shoulderblades Eyes: Purple Identifiers:PERSONALITYAzul is a young nether dragon, from one of the last clutches that was relatively safe before the fel orcs returned in force. She is young, but in spite of it all she is quite brave and determined. She doesn't let her fear paralyze her, and while she readily admits she doesn't know much, Azul wants nothing else but to learn and to try - and most important of all, survive. Her parents and clutchmates all died, so she wants to live the life that was stolen from them. She does believe that, whatever or wherever they are now, they would not want her to give up.
