After saying their goodbyes to Meridia and Kaltyran, the mis-matched pair wandered away from the temple. He was eager to just... rest, for a moment, a sharp contrast with his overly happy and excited companion. He felt tired... Wary, even, in a way he could not quite explain.
Being here just seemed to hurt as much as it was doing him good - he hadn't quite expected it.
He'd settle. He... had to.
Still, he was trying not to show it to Adi, as he stopped in front of one perticular house. This was the one...
"Don't worry. Whisteria will adore you." He ruffled her hair, gently, but in truth, it was a way to try to get rid of his own anxiety, and not anxiety that Adi might not even have felt in the first place.
Well, then... He walked to the door, and knocked, lightly.

There were night elves, and little night elves, and giant cats, and house-trees, and..and...! There was just. SO. MUCH. The restraint it took not to go running off after every interesting thing she saw (which was pretty much everything) would ordinarily not have lasted this long, but it helped that she had Elik to focus on, and she tried to keep reminding herself that she'd have two weeks to explore and make friends.
She smiled up at him when he ruffled her hair, in contrast to when she'd ducked away from Glyph's attempt to do the same when the three of them had been together.
"I'm not worried." Curious, mostly, about this night elf who was named after a flower.

"Come in!" A woman's voice called from inside. She would've come to greet them had she been able to get up. Currently she was being 'mauled' by four young wintersaber cubs. Their mother, who occasionally served as Whisteria's mount, lay half curled on the rug looking amused, as a large cat could anyway.

Well, that was Whisteria alright. Still, he hesitated, if only for a second, before he did finally enter properly.
Oh, god. Wintersaber cubs. Elik pretty much expected that Adi was about a second away from losing it. And, well... He might have very well been the last thing the druidess had expected to see.
"...Hey." He offered, words suddenly failing him.

Elik was absolutely right. Adi had been prepared to polite and relatively calm, just as she had been when meeting Meridia and Kaltyran, but then she saw the cubs. Just the mom would have thrilled her - she was dying to 'meet' one of the mounts - but the cubs. Little, adorable, baby giant cats.
"Babies!" she gushed, starting to run forward, but caught herself...not remembering manners so much as realizing that Giant Mama-Cat might not want a strange werewolf charging at her cubs, even if it was just to cuddle them. It was clearly really hard for her to stay put, though.

Elik certainly wasn't someone she had expected to show up at her door, that was clear enough from the look on her face. "By the relit stars of Elune...Elik is that really you?" She set about attempting to dislodge kittens and set them down back by their mother before she got to her feet. "And you brought a female friend with you!" She laughed, knowing he would likely be embarrassed.
The older druidess crossed the room and pulled Elik into a tight hug. "Seems like it's been forever since I saw you last."
Most of the kittens were content to stay with their mother, but one little brave one bounded over to Adi and proceeded to try and pounce on her tail.

Elik didn't get much time to answer that before he ended up squished into a tight hug. And turning an interesting shade of purple. "She's my student." He clarified, but was clearly awkward.
"It has been a long time." So long, really. He'd been lost for much of that time, but then, he certainly still felt lost, now.
"Looks like you've got a friend, Adi." He said, amused.

YAY. A baby! Adi wasted no time at all in crouching down to lavish attention on the cub, dislodging her floox, which fluttered over to perch on Elik instead. If it didn't protest, the little wintersaber would soon find itself on the receiving end of enthusiastic werewolf cuddles.
"Hi!" she remembered to say, rather late. Surely they would understand. After all, there were kittens. This explained everything.

The cub liked attention and didn't seem to care who in particular it came from. When cuddled it made a contented noise while continuing to try to sniff and inspect this new and very friendly person.
"I see." Was all she said, though that blush led her to believe there was something else going on that she wasn't aware of. After a moment she did let go of Elik, sparing him further humiliation for the moment and turned to address his companion.
"Hello, my name is Whisteria. I'm Elik's aunt. That little one's name is Ishura and indeed, she does seem to have taken a liking to you."

Elik did seem to be perfectly agreeable with the change of subject - and the change of focus, really. Through, Adi seemed to have finally reached Cute Overload, which made him chuckle.
"Would you mind if we stayed, for a little bit at least ?" He asked. They could certainly use a roof over his head, and he would have wanted Adi to meet the only true family he had left, no matter what.

Adi dropped back into a sit, pulling the cub into her lap as she did so. So soft and furry and cute~! And, finally, she was actually getting to expend some of the build-up of excitement she'd been keeping somewhat-bottled since they'd arrived. Her tail was wagging just as fast as it could.
"She's so cute!" As though that weren't completely obvious. Still, the werewolf seemed to settle a little now that the initial tidal wave of exuberance had passed. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Adi!"

Whisteria laughed and patted the cub's head. "It's nice to meet you Adi." She turned her head to look over her shoulder at Elik. "You think I would let you stay anywhere else?" She sighed, shaking her head. Men were ridiculous sometimes and it seemed Elik had grown up and joined them. Perhaps that was why she'd never married, despite how much her brother had pestered her about it.
"I have pallets, or hammocks if you prefer, in the guest room as always. You remember where it is, right?"

"I do." It had been awhile since he had been here, but he did remember. "Thank you." Of course, he would argue to hell and back that he was not ridiculous, just practical.
The truth of it, however, was that he was, indeed, ridiculous. More often that he dared to think, really.
One of the cubs finally did wander toward him, and he lowered his hand in order to let the curious little kitten sniff at him.
"It does seem like a lot has happened in the time I was gone..."

Hammocks! Hammocks were always fun. What wasn't to like about a bed that was also a swing, especially when you could also dump unsuspecting twins to the ground while they were sleeping? Or, in this particular case, Elik.
While Elik and his aunt conversed, Adi buried her face in 'her' cub's fur, blowing softly on its stomach. Apparently kittens were at least one temporarily effective way of quieting her down.

"They'll all be over here, mauling you both, before you know it." She smiled at the other cub that had wandered over to greet Elik. The young man was so much like her brother had been at his age. Hopefully that meant he would be a good man, despite how ridiculous he seemed at times.
"Well, take your bags upstairs and get settled. If you two are hungry I'll see about making something." She added, mostly for Adi's sake. "You'll have to leave the little ones down here, but you are welcome to visit with them as much as you like." The cubs were still small-ish, so they wouldn't be able to get up and down the stairs easily on their own yet.
