He was being lazy and he knew it, but how could not it be ? There was something he had to give to this place - the weather was definitively something he could agree with. The winters were mild, and the summers just warm enough to be comfortable without being overbearing.
Today he had simply decided to perch into a tree and bask in the sun, much like the big cat that he currently held the form of. The druid decided to forgo hunting until Adi showed up... Which would likely be soon.
Hm, maybe he could convince his lovely girlfriend to laze in the sun with him for a few hours first ? Hmmmm, yes. Perfect plan.

The druid was right, and it was only a matter of time until Adi showed up...but not to bask in the sun. Oh no, today she was on a mission! With Whisteria, to be precise. They just had to find Elik first! Fortunately, the werewolf's Elik-tracking skills had continued to improve significantly, and it didn't take her long at all to find him.
Still, just because there was a Serious Conversation to be had didn't mean she had to forego the opportunity to try to sneak up under the tree and pull his tail.
Because really, how could she pass that up?

Elik was quite lucky that Adi had been the one to yank his tail and not her. As it stood the druidess was in a rather sour mood today. Poor Aska had been snapped at at least once before she had managed to get out the door this morning- to which he had just smiled and reminded her that he knew she did not really mean it. Which was entirely true. Damn hormones going in circles! Whisteria stood just off to the side, arms crossed beneath her breasts and a look on her face that said she was not going anywhere until they talked. Her nephew was being a thick headed idiot and he was not getting out of this easily.

Yes, the 'love yank' was something he was quite familiar with by now. The tail teasingly wriggled itself out of Adi's hold and one eye opened lazily. "Hello the-"
He did not expect Whisteria.
He did not expect Whisteria looking like she was about to rip his head off.
Elik stood with a start, which only resulted into him banging his head on an upper branch with a startled yowl.
The day had just gone from bad to worse, he could already tell.

Even as she tried to catch at Elik's tail, he was startled by the sight of his aunt and stood...and hit his head. For a moment, Adi thought he might fall out of the tree. Even though he didn't, it was stilly pretty funny, and she couldn't help but giggle a little.
"Hi! Can we talk?" There werewolf didn't do serious tones or serious faces very well. Clearly.

By then, Elik's danger sense was no longer tingling, it might as well have been a shrill warning siren.
Sadly, there was little opening to hightail and exit stage left. unless miracles truly did exist. Oh, he hoped miracles did exist. He was probably due for one.
He leaped down, shifting to his humanoid form in the process, and it was pretty obvious that Elik was even more scruffy than usual, which was probably quite telling about how long it had been since he had seen civilization, so to speak. "Alright, shoot."
He was just secretly praying he hadn't knocked Adi up.

If it had been anything like that, it was safe to say that Adi would not have been able to contain herself long enough to pull on Elik's tail, much less ask if they could talk. It would have been the first thing out of her mouth. ...partly so that they wouldn't waste time better spent running and hiding from Orin.
Anyway, it wasn't anything like that, and with the druid looking especially scruffy, she set about trying to de-scruff him a little while she waited for Whisteria to broach the actual subject.

"First off, I have not seen you in months." Whisteria almost sighed when she noticed just how scruffy he looked, but he was a feral there was not much that could be done about that point.
"Secondly, you said you would talk to him and you have not. Why?" Elik would know exactly who 'him' referred to- Xun, Lifewater.
"Thirdly, you are going to have a cousin eventually."

And apparently this was a common occurrence, as Elik more or less allowed himself to be de-scuffed without a peep.
"Well, it wasn't like I was hiding or anything." Well, he... kind of was, really, but he knew better than to state that. Elik might have been dumb, but he wasn't suicidal. "I am an adult you know, I can take care of myself. I know you worry, but im just fine. Really."
Oh, of course. That. Why Whisteria so seemed to like that overgrown reptile, he had no damn idea. "I did once, and I thought I made exactly clear how I felt about it." And if the dragon had to send two women do try to appeal to him, well, he was in dire need to grow the balls he was obviously still lacking, and the frown made it quite clear that Adi's presence was the only thing that kept him from voicing said fact out loud.
The third point, however, he never saw coming in a million years. "...You... What ?"
Well, at least he hadn't knocked Adi up.

She liked Elik just fine when he was scruffy, really she did, and as far as she knew he didn't mind her when she was covered in dirt, it was just...sort of a girl thing, maybe, cleaning him up. Or a werewolf grooming thing. Or both. It was also something to do! "She's right, though. You really need t-"
...wait, what? Adi had not previously been let in on this third point, and trailed off to stare at Whisteria. Cousins came from aunts and uncles, and as far as she knew, Elik just had one aunt, and that meant...once she'd put it together, she let out a sort of squeak.

"Exactly what I said, Elik. I'm pregnant." He did not even need to finish the statement, she knew what that look meant. Xun had a similar one when she had first mentioned that she might be- not that Elik would be glad to hear said fact at all. Adi's squeak might have been more amusing if she had not been so focused on her mission to deal with Elik.
"But that is not the issue I came to talk about. You apparently did not make it clear. All you have been is a brat." She sighed. "And before you so much as think it...no he did not send me. I came on my own because I am sick and tired of seeing you avoid him simply because you are too thick headed to sit and listen to what he has to say. That is all I am asking you to do, if you want nothing more to do with him after that point that is your choice."

"So, uh, who's the father ?" Really, Whisteria's current state of incoming motherhood was the safe subject. "Anyone I know ?" Probably a human. He would bet the clothes off his back that it was an human.
Not that he could really say anything, with the lovely, squeal-y lady that was in the process of taming his hair into some sort of neat-ness, but still. The thought was amusing, and it distracted him from the other subject.
"So im not exactly willing to be on friendly term with the oh-so-important entity that decided that my m-" Right. Adi. Damnit. That must have been why Whisteria had brought her along. He knew that she, for some reason, actually liked Xun, and he had set to simply not bring up the subject in her presence so he did not accidentally harm her feelings.
That made her more of a brat than he was, in his opinion, but again, not suicidal. Especially now that he was aware that there were hormones into the game.
So much for that. Damnit, Whisteria. "Look, I don't care what he-" Adi. DAMNIT. "I said I wanted nothing to do with him, and that I wasn't his responsibility. What part of that isn't clear ?"

Whisteria was going to have a baby~! Ordinarily, this news would have elicited far more than a squeak from Adi, but...serious things. That she hadn't quite realized were as serious as they were, thanks to Elik opting to just not talk about Xun. She'd had no idea it was that bad, and even though he censored himself, the werewolf was rather distressed by what he did say.
"But he's not just him, Elik! Illisia is Xun. She's there, she really is, and you'd see it too if you just listened."

"We can talk about that later." Did he think he could pull a fast one on her? Nuh-uh. Not today.
And it seemed that Adi made her point quite nicely for her. She motioned to the werewolf. At least she got the point! "Exactly. Now stop being a thickheaded fool for an hour and go spend time with him." This could be done the easy way, or the embarrassing way whichever he preferred. Though if Adi tagged along with him he would probably prefer the easier way.
