This was amazing. This was pretty much the coolest thing ever to happen - a giant party at the Pantheon! There had been an awful lot of people at the lotus thing, sure, but it hadn't been a party! Well, sort of at the end maybe, but a not a real party...this was a real party. Everything was just so happy! People, offerings, rainbows, FOOD. Still, even with all these delightful distractions to pull her from her sadness over Illisia, it hadn't taken Adi long to notice the most important element of all: the flooxes.

Rainbow flooxes. Everywhere. And not only were they rainbow flooxes, little bits of greenery sprang up at their feet when they walked. Naturally, Adi had to have one, and had wasted no time in employing her other flooxes' help in acquiring one...a decision they might temporarily regret, as the werewolf was now quite preoccuppied with the new edition. She was alternating between lavishing it with cuddles and treats, and putting it down so she could follow it and coo over its little clover trails.

Fortunately, the floox didn't seem bothered. Getting love and food just for walking around was a pretty good trade!

User ImageGlyph had been out wandering amongst the influx of people and their brightly coloured regalia, enjoying the celebration and conversing with gods and mortals alike. It was a festive, bright atmosphere and it put Forest in a superb mood - something he rather needed.

He'd spent some time away from the Pantheon, had picked up a few new friends along the way, and now the Pantheon was alive with activity. The god had gone in search of familiar faces and he wasn't entirely surprised when he found Adi playing with a group of rainbow flooxes. Standing off to the side, he watched as she cooed over the little clovers and grass trails the tiny creatures made - which made him wonder if he might not gather some of them as well.

Then, feeling mischievous, he focused on the little clovers and encouraged their growth, watching as the little flowers grew larger and taller beyond what the flooxes had created and wondered if Adi might notice. He stood where he was, leaning against a tree, a quirky grin curling the edges of his lips up into something mischievous.

It took a minute for her to notice, as focused as she was on the flooxes, but she did eventually notice that something was different. At first she thought it was perhaps because Dittany - as she'd dubbed the one that was definitely hers - had been joined by a couple of others, but...

Hmm. She'd seen this trick before! A quick glance around revealed Glyph, and she grinned. "Aren't they amazing?"

Off to the side, a sulking Phlox let out a sigh.

User ImageHe laughed softly when she looked for him and pushed off the tree, the hand lingering there a moment, finger trailing over the rough bark, before he closed the distance and joined her, dropping to his knees in the grass. "They're adorable. You've made many friends, it seems! I like their little clovers, it's cute." He waggled his long fingers at one, cooing softly before he glanced back, smiling broadly, "Enjoying yourself?"

He flopped back in the grass, stretching out and inhaled deeply the scent of soil and greenery. Tilting his head, Glyph gestured at Phlox when he heard him sigh, one furry ear flicking as he chuckled, "C'mere Phlox." He scritched the air to indicate his intentions.

"I do like friends," she replied, giggling happily. Especially fluffy rainbow friends that grew things! Even if they were just little clovers. "Do you think Harmodius made them? I'd never seen one before, but I've seen like a dozen today! Or maybe they're just attracted to all this?" Whatever it was, Adi was completely delighted! Maybe she'd have to ask him next time she saw him...whenever that was going to be.

Oh? Phlox's ears flicked to attention. Well, at least someone cared! The ridgeback toddled over to the god.

]User Image"Possibly... I wouldn't be surprised if He made them. I haven't spoken to Harmodius in some time... maybe I'll ask him next I see him?" Glyph smiled, gave a small shrug, that was indeed something he should do. If he remembered to stick around the Pantheon long enough to do so, that is. The god gave a soft laugh at the thought. He needed to introduce Rush to Nergal and Damien to Harmodius at some point as well so he did have reason to hang around this time.

"I wonder if any will befriend me..." He murmured, scooping Phlox up and setting him down on his chest, running his fingers lightly through the fur and scritching behind the floox's ears, "Don't look so depressed little one." He smiled at the critter. "Have you seen anything interesting going on? A few people have mentioned taking gifts to Yu."

"Oh, are you going to go see him?" Adi's ears perked with interest. She was rather obviously interested in why, although she didn't ask. She was being good and patient! Mostly. The latter was hard when you were very young.

"I bet they'll like you," she guessed, "You grow things, too! And Phlox likes you." The gray floox chirped, cuddling up to Glyph and curling his tail around Forest's arm before giving Adi a sulking look that she missed completely. "Oh, I saw that! I was sort of thinking about it...but am I supposed to give presents to other gods?" This servant business could be a little confusing sometimes.

User Image"I was thinking about it - some friends from the last time I was out wanted to see a 'real god' and apparently I'm not quite godly enough yet so I was going to introduce them to the others. I wanted to say hello to Harmodius too so I'll introduce them to him as well. I just think I might need to expand our rooms again... to accommodate everyone."

Glyph petted Phlox as he considered her quest, "I don't mind it. I was going to take something to Yu myself, actually. You serve me but that doesn't mean you can't be friendly to other gods." He laughed softly, "Just remember where your loyalty lies and you'll be alright."

"Not godly enough?" The werewolf blinked. "But...you're a god. And you grow stuff and...and you have leaves!" Adi made a little motion with her hand to indicate Glyph's branchy-leafy accessories. She thought they were pretty cool.

"Oh, good. I like Yu, he's nice even if he doesn't look it. I still don't know what I should give him, though. He doesn't seem like a flowers sort of god." And flowers were pretty much Adi's default gift, so that made things difficult! Maybe she could hunt him something? But that didn't seem very special.

User ImageGlyph huffed and nodded, "Good points, all! More people need your vision, Adi!" Not everyone was skeptical, and he could usually win them over when they were... but it would be nice (if only for the ego boost) for someone to see him and immediately know him as a True God, not just another powerful being. Forest puffed his cheeks out in a sigh.

Glyph nodded again, "I'm not sure either. I was considering crafting some sort of amulet. Did you want to help me? You know how to get things to grow, right? Between the two of us, I'm sure we can shape a pretty amulet." He grinned, liking the idea, "And I'm certain as long as it's heartfelt, he'll appreciate it."

"You want to make something together?" Adi's eyes widened with delighted surprise, and her tail wagged. "I'd really like that! I can help grow something, sure." Today was getting better and better! Glyph wanted her help with something, and that was very exciting.

"What sort of thing do you want to grow? How do we make an amulet by growing something?" Always questions!
PostPosted: Mon Jul 11, 2011 7:52 pm

User Image"Sure! Why not?" He asked in return, smiling as he looked over, "I thought training a plant into shapes would be a good idea, ooor tying a branch or something of the sort. Here.." He fluffed Phlox and tucked him in his elbow as he rose then set the fluffy little creature on his head as he padded back to the tree, gesturing for Adi to follow him.

He selected a thin branch and grasped its flexible end, waited for Adi to come, then nodded at it, "Lots of things are flexible while their growing. The tips of the branch are usually very bendy, as are young trees, see?" He tied the end of the branch in a loose knot, "If we can train a tree or a plant into a shape like that, it'll be a living amulet. Do you know how to enchant things to live even when a cutting is taken?"

Adi scooped Dittany into her arms, then hopped up to follow Glyph. In imitation of Phlox and Glyph, the rainbow floox climbed up onto the werewolf's head, giving the other floox a look. She seemed to know he was jealous, although he pretended to ignore her attempt to bait him.

"Ooh. I knew you could shape things, but I hadn't thought of making jewelry like that." But it was a totally awesome! Why hadn't she ever thought of it? "I don't know how to make things stay alive, though. Can you do that, or should I ask Elik how?"

...like she needed an excuse to visit the night elf.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 11, 2011 8:20 pm

User Image"You can make lots of things with the right attention - furniture, homes, instruments... all sorts of items." Glyph laughed, then shook his head, "Not right now, no. Malh'reth's world had some trees that would remain alive even after being cut - they wouldn't grow but they'd stay green for decades. That's what the pillars are in our rooms." He pondered a moment then nodded, "Yeah, we should speak to Elik about it, if he wants to help too he can!"

This was quickly shaping up to be a group effort for Yu! Glyph only hoped the Dragon King would appreciate the gesture.

"Ohh, like the walls and stuff in Rio's rooms! I always wondered how that worked, I thought it was just the room magic." You could have a real tree house! How cool would that be? Kin would probably like that, since he wanted to be King of the Forest and all. A whole tree palace would be awesome. "I guess it's hard to make a house, though."

"This'll be so much fun!" Adi bounced, nearly dislodging Dittany, who didn't have experience in keeping her balance the way Phlox did.

This pleased him inordinately.
