"Now, don't take this the wrong way, but Jesus Christ," Iden swore, slamming another book shut and throwing her hands up. "I am so tired of books! I like books, and I'm tired of books."

Several feet away, Rio flinched, shutting the book he held quite a bit more softly. They'd been in the library for, well...he wasn't actually sure how long, this time, and it was only the latest in a long string of searches that had been occuppying his time (and sometimes his friend's) for weeks now. "I'm sorry. Would you like to take a break? Or...stop? You don't have to do this, you know."

"No, I want to help. I just needed to get that out. I feel better now." For her part, the vampire looked apologetic. She hadn't meant to make Rio feel bad, so she was quick to put on a grin and joke, "Always wanted to yell in a library, anyway. Just...the librarian's not gonna come along and fry me for it, right? That would suck."

"That would," Love agreed, lips twitching into a small smile.

Comfortable silence for several moments, and then, "...I'm hungry."

"Oh, that explains a lot." Rio chuckled. "Can't help you there, though. Sorry."

"Gods." She rolled her eyes. "Useless. What good are you if I can't even ea- you know what, forget it. That was going somewhere awful."

"Mm-hm. You should go feed. And sleep. It'll probably be dawn soon. I'm sure I'll still be here when you get back." When she'd thought about it and nodded, he stood to give her a quick goodbye kiss. "I'll see you later. Thank you, again."

It was probably a good thing he had not walked on that particular conversation.

As it was, someone else would show up in the library about an hour or so after the sun had risen. The man was visibly an elf, but the dark brown horns on his head and the glimmer of ruby red scales resting on top of his pale skin would likely make one second doubt that initial thought. Long hair was pulled up into a high ponytail, with a few bangs framing his face, and bright yellow eyes scanned his surroundings. There was someone here, a god, but Zara figured that he would let him come forward if he wished to talk.

Perhaps more important for Love was that the man was not mortal - he was aoide, and not any kind of aoide he would have seen before.

Zarayther would make sure his shoes were clean before heading forward, clearly not sure where to start. So many books was a little overwhelming, even for him. His master had said the library was massive, yes, but that was another kind of massive !

The idea that there might be information about Azeroth here had come up, and of them all, the task would have come down to him or Croix... and now the red dragon found himself wishing he had dragged the blue along. He would be at this for years !

By the time someone else entered the - now much quieter - library, Rio was feeling ready to do some yelling of his own. This was getting old, and frustrating. None of the things he'd tried to do in the last several months had gone his way at all, even since he'd tried to re-plan a birthday party for Adi...who had found out, only to declare that she didn't want one, not without her twin. That had lead to him trying to track down the rest of their family, which, unsurprisingly, hadn't turned up anything. With nothing at all to go on, it had been impossible, but he'd tried anyway. Needing something else to focus on after that, he'd started digging for information on how to make aoidei, since he'd promised Leo. So far, that wasn't going terribly well either. The library was just too damn big, even when he did have help looking through it.

This was one of those times in his life when he felt like an awful god. An awful, tired god who wished he hadn't encouraged his friend to go home, because now he was lonely. And so, so tired of books. Maybe he should just take a nap...

He might have, if someone very interesting hadn't come along. He rubbed his tired eyes and offered the stranger a weary smile. "Good morning."

...Where in hell was he even supposed to begin ?

Zarayther was pondering that much, really, when the god's voice cut him out of his thoughts. "Good morning." The god looked... a little frazzled, to be honest, and a quick look back and forth revealed that they were, indeed, alone. Perhaps he could help ?

"Is there something I can help you with ?" Well, looking for two needles in an huge haysack would not be any more time consuming as looking for one, right ?

It took his over-read brain longer than usual to process it, but the man was rather handsome, whatever he was exactly. A bit elf-like, but with other features more like those of a dragon or possibly a demon. Either way, attractive. And company. Company was always good.

Rio ran a hand through his hair, hoping it wasn't in too sad a state, and made a thoughtful sound. "I don't suppose you've come across any books about aoidei?"

Zara was blissfully unaware of Love's thoughts, and such a thing was probably for the best, honestly.

"Well, it is my first time that I've come here." The red dragon answered before what Rio had asked of him really rang in. Aoidei ? "What did you wish to know about ?" Maybe he could answer whatever LOve was seeking out. He was an aoide, after all.

"Oh. I hadn't spent much time in here myself, until recently, at least." When he'd decided to go on his grand search, instead of asking someone who knew more about the library than he did, like Akakios or Endiovar. Because it had seemed more meaningful and quest-like to do it himself, or something. "I'm trying to find how to make them."

It seemed a strange thing, that a god would not know how to make servants from themselves. But then, Xun Jiang had showed no hesitation howsoever in making him. "It's, well..." Uh. How could he really explain this ? Not really, at least not on the godly side of the equation.

Well, now that is interesting. Why not bring him over instead of gasping like a fish ?

Im getting to that !

"Well, I know some of it... But my master could tell you better. If you would like to meet him ?"

"Oh, really?" The god blinked in surprise. This was an...interesting coincidence. And quest or not, he was tired of looking through book after book. He was all for the easy way out, at this point. "I'd be delighted. Who is he?"

"Ah, I'm Rio, by the way. Love." And he was so blaming his oversight in introducing himself on the fact that he hadn't slept in...well, a bit longer than he would have liked.

Make him guess. Was Xun Jiang's amused answer. Rio would certainly be amused.

So you know him ?

"He says you will know when you see him." That kind of demeanor was not unexpected of Ti Lung at all, really. "My name is Zarayther. Should we be going now, or was there something else you needed to tend to here ?"

Rio certainly looked like he was eager to get out of here, but better be sure.

"Now, that's not very fair." Though Rio frowned and crossed his arms, his tone was playful...underneath the flat layer of tired, anyway. "No, there's nothing else. Lead the way, Zarayther."

"He does not tend to be when he is set on teasing someone." Oh, did the red dragon ever know ! Still, he would lead Love out of the library and into the hall of doors, opening one with a large tree adorning it. Depending on Rio's actual level of tired, he might realize who he was being brought toward before actually getting there - though the face was not one he could recognize at first glance.

Really, had it not been for the mess of mane hair and the very recognizable location of his wings, Xun Jiang might have been an entirely different creature. He would be laying near the waterfall, close to the trees and the swings, but not sitting on one. The Dragon King was laying against one of the trees, and by the time his aoide and Love would make it, there would already be food - small sandwiches and pastries - and, perhaps more importantly, coffee awaiting his guest

He was currently teasing one little netherwhelp with a bit of sandwich held up in the air, trying to tease the little one to use his wings and fly the short distance to snatch it. The cobalt whelp was quite unhappy by this and was shieking horribly. He would be fed either way, of course, but the soonest they were able to fly freely, the better.

He would look up to Love as he approached, grinning. "You might not want to add this one to your collection, Love. His mate is a little... possessive."

That was quite an understatement, but all in good teasing.

He was tired enough - and happy enough to be out of the library - that he didn't realize where they were going until they were there. And once they were, he frowned again and did his best to look exasperated. "Oh. It's you."

Looking considerably less like Illisia, but Xun Jiang nonetheless. What else had he missed over the last few months when he hadn't been paying attention? "Please, it's not like I try to collect everyone else's aoidei. It just happens now and then."

"Speaking of adding to collections, you'd better not let Adi see those," Rio advised, indicating the whelp. "She'll want one. Or ten."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 30, 2013 4:49 pm

"Yes. It seems that we are doomed to deal with each other." Ti Lung let out a clearly over-exagerated sigh, but then laughed. "It is good to see you, though. I was wondering where you'd gone to."

As for the other matter. "I believe their parents would not agree to this." He gestured both his servant and his friend closer - they could either sit in the swings or lay in the grass beside him.

Zara would pour the coffee into the cups before settling on one of the swings, and given the strange look that passed his face, he has asked for clarifications for the collection comment and, well, had gotten them.

Oh my.

"I heard you were looking for something ?"

"It's good to see you, too. You look quite well." Rio finally smiled, and moved to sit in the grass. "Here and there. Not that I actually accomplished anything."

"Like that would stop her from trying." He'd honestly been surprised that his daughter hadn't brought anything home with her from Azeroth. But this was probably only because there hadn't been adequate room on Caoin.

Hmm, coffee. Love accepted it with a bright "Thank you!" and...proceeded to glance about and see if there was anything he could add to it. Like sugar. Lots of sugar.

"I was trying to figure out how to make an aoide."
