Arrival at Zatao: Katarina Town
So the first of my plans have blossomed ever so beautifully! I finally arrived to the Zatao region! I got off my ship at the port in Katarina Town and headed down the street. I can't wait for my fame to truly reach this region. It is so small and pretty quiet. Maybe a concert would liven things up out here?
Either way, I walked down the street to find the nearest Pokemon center. Of course, my eyes were wandering around, taking in all the quaint scenes of the small town. Eventually I found myself tired, so I sat myself in the shade of a tree. The leggings I was wearing were getting a bit sticky with sweat. One always has to suffer to look cute though!
I must have set down my adorable designer bag, for the next thing I knew, I looked at it and found an extremely odd tail peeking out of it. Carefully, I pulled the creature that was in my bag out, and found it to be a Pachirisu. And what was even worse was the fact that it was holding my amulet coin!! The little thing was going through my stuff!!
However, it was a pokemon. That was part of my reason for coming to Zatao, right? So the first thing I did after taking this pokemon out of my bag was to pull a pokeball from my apron pocket. The pokemon looked pretty mad at me, and his cheeks were starting to spark a bit. Afterall, Pachirisu are an electric type!
Using the pokeball I had at hand, I literally bonked the squirrel pokemon on the head. I didn't mean to do it so hard, but I think I panicked a bit! The Pachirisu started to emit a red light, then went into the pokeball. The ball wiggled very strongly, but I guess he wasn't too strong, because he didn't escape. I bet I must've sighed pretty loud then.
Somehow I had a pokemon, so the first thing I needed to do was to take it to the Pokemon Center. While I was there, I let my new Pachirisu rest up, I got to phone my parents to let them know I was alright, and I got to talk to Bob. She misses me so much, I almost wish I could hug her right now!
I also marked my Pachirisu so that if he ever gets lost, I can find him again. The way he was looking at me when I was about to capture him almost made him look like a rabid squirrel pokemon, so I decided to name him Foamy. Hopefully Foamy won't stay mad at me forever!

New opportunities: Pilkiras Plain
Now that Foamy and I are all rested up, or at least I think we are? One day of just lounging about in a new place is rather tiring. Either way, I decided that maybe we should visit the Pilkiras Plain. It is just by the town, and I heard that it had lots of berries there.
I've found it pretty strange that nobody has recognized me out here yet. I was certain at the Pokemon Center that someone would have recognized me. Yet not even the Nurse Joy could tell who I was. Pity, since I'm not even incognito.
At the edge of the town, I looked around for a bit. The Pilkiras Plain was simply beautiful. It made me think of the Safari Zone in Kanto, where I did a concert for charity. The big difference was there were more berry-plants of different sorts. Maybe I could use some of these berries to sweeten Foamy's mood. Before we left the Pokemon Center, I checked up on him, and he seemed pretty miffed still.
But berries make everything better with their sweet flavor! I must have had a skip in my step, for I almost felt like I glided down that initial path out of the two and into the Plains. I think I was humming as well, which is usually a way for me to further enjoy myself. Yet my journey was short-lived, seeing as I spotted a berry bush to my right. Seeing this as an opportunity for me and Foamy to bond (later), I immediately went to the bush and began looking at the berries, trying to figure out which were ripe, which were not, and which were overly ripe. I can't stand gooshy berries!
I didn't quite get to pick one yet though. I noticed before my fingers got to work a Skitty. It seemed to be getting ready to eat a meal or something out of the berries, for it was sniffing around. And then it saw me!
I expected this reaction, seeing as it was a wild pokemon, but then the Skitty turned to hightail it out of there. Yet it didn't quite succeed with its plans. Instead, it tumbled over rather clumsily. Maybe it wasn't exactly standard practice, but hey, it's my first time really being a Pokemon trainer! Instead of pulling out a pokeball or summoning out a Pokemon, I just asked it "Are you hurt?"
I didn't expect it to answer me so readily, but it nodded its head. I decided to get a little closer. Kneeling down carefully (as I didn't want to get my leggings dirty or ripped), I noticed that the Skitty's eyes were somewhat welling up. Poor Skitty!! I had some potions I brought with me from Celadon, since my parents got them for me as presents, so to speak. Pulling one out of my designer bag, I edged closer.
"It's alright" I reassured the Skitty as I then carefully picked it up and sprayed some of the potion on its leg. I didn't realize how warm the Pokemon was, but it felt very soothing as I held it. I didn't realize it right away, but apparently the Skitty had started to cuddle into me.
"Oh, so you're not going to run away now?" I asked quietly as to not startle the Pokemon. It shook its head no.
"Would you like to stay with me?" I asked quietly again. It nodded its head.
I stood up and held the Skitty with one hand, then I reached into my apron pocket with my other hand and picked out a pokeball. I tapped it on the Skitty's head once, and it turned into a red light and vanished into the pokeball.
I glanced at the berry bush and decided maybe I should wait another day to pick some of the berries. Afterall, I had just caught my second Pokemon in Zatao! I went back to the Pokemon Center and let the Skitty out again so I could mark her with three hearts on her tail. She didn't seem to mind at all. I got to call the house, but only Mom and Bob were there today! They were both so excited to hear about my new pokemon, though Bob seemed to get a bit jealous she wasn't here to have fun with me.
I decided later to name my Skitty "Miss Sprinkles." She looked like she was sugary sweet after all. Maybe tomorrow will bring me a more exciting journey!

Odd Colors: Pilkiras Plain
There are apparently a lot of things I still don't know about Pokemon. I've been hanging around Katarina Town and the Pilkiras Plain in order to learn more, but it's still an awful lot of information to learn at once! I only just learned recently where the battle stadiums are at, but I haven't quite had the chance to actually battle there yet!
I was a bit worried about Foamy for a bit as well, since he didn't seem all that pleased with the training we were doing. Miss Sprinkles seemed quite content with all the different aspects of training, but Foamy almost seemed lethargic when he got to training as well. Foamy tends to baffle me. Bob was never this hard to work with. I'd say maybe that's the difference between wild and tame pokemon, but Miss Sprinkles was also a wild pokemon too.
I figured, after all the work I had been doing, learning, training, and preparing for battle, it would be nice to go for a walk. I figured the Pilkiras Plain was close enough, and it definitely had a very calm and soothing environment, so it would be fine!
I've been noticing more people watching me lately, and I think it has to do with my miniature performance I did the other day. Maybe people are finally recognizing me? As long as I am not bombarded with requests for autographs, I don't think I will need to go incognito. An idol always has to be prepared for things like that! So when I was on my way to the Plain, a couple of people did stop me to ask if I was a singer, but that was about it. Nothing too drastic, thankfully.
I really wasn't expecting anything exciting to happen today. In fact, I was just expecting to walk around and relax. No, no, no, that wasn't what actually happened though. Initially, I walked around on a path that was already present, but eventually I got bored and decided to have a stroll through the taller grass. It was a bit itchy on my arms, but it was actually quite nice. I almost felt like a pokemon running around in there. After all that fame and glamor, it is nice to occasionally do something so simple as running around in the grass.
And then I saw it! I saw some silvery-gray tail scurry through the grass in front of me. Not knowing what it was, I decided to follow it. Curiousity did pay off this time. When there was a clearing, it was easy to see it was an Eevee that had been nearby. Of course, I have never seen a silver-gray Eevee before. I thought they only had brown fur. It didn't seem to notice me, but rather, was looking for something. I did the first thing I could think of and tossed a pokeball at it.
I really need to get my head out of the clouds. Not every pokemon can be caught like how Foamy or Miss Sprinkles got caught. The pokeball didn't even wiggle, the pokemon broke out. And now I had the Eevee's attention. It could have run, but it didn't. Instead, it narrowed its blue eyes at me and seemed to be getting ready to attack. It didn't attack, but it seemed to be waiting on me. I don't know what I had been thinking, but it took me a while to get the idea that it wanted to battle my pokemon.
"Oh right" I must have said once I snapped out of it. It was a bit tricky figuring out which of my two pokemon should go out to battle, but I figured I should give my first battle to the first pokemon I got in this area. Plus, Miss Sprinkles is still quite clumsy, so she probably would have tripped over her own paws. "It is your time for spotlight! Foamy!"
At first, it seemed like Foamy was miffed at me for getting him out of his pokeball. Yet when he saw the Eevee, he seemed to gain a smile. It looked more like he was sneering though in all honesty. The Eevee also seemed quite content, and then began to charge with a quick attack. I've never seen a quick attack before, but it is named quite appropriately. Foamy was hit and knocked slightly to the side. I am so glad there was plenty of grass in the area, for it could serve as cushioning. The Eevee almost seemed to taunt Foamy a bit with a slight "Vee, eevee!"
Foamy got up quickly, then seemed to glare at me. It was then I remembered I was supposed to tell him what to do. Such an airhead! The Eevee began to charge again with another quick attack, but this time I actually gave a command. "Foamy! Dig and get him from underground!" That Pachirisu sprung up and immediately began to dig. He was much faster than I had anticipated, and managed to narrowly dodge the attack. Well, almost. You see, Foamy's tail was still above ground when the Eevee came close enough to hit. So instead of doing a quick attack, the Eevee used bite on Foamy's tail. It looked like it must have hurt, and I heard a rather loud "PACHI!" from underground. His tail was soon pulled underground too and everything seemed to be quiet once again.
The Eevee began to look around, as if trying to locate the Pachirisu, but he didn't seem too certain at any one point. Suddenly, Foamy sprung up quickly and fiercely from underground and somewhat head-butted the Eevee. The Eevee fell back, slightly stunned. I thought this was a good opportunity for another attack while the other pokemon was open. "Foamy, quick, use Thunder!" I don't think I've ever seen Foamy so happy. His cheeks began to crackle with electricity and he even uttered a confident "Pachi!" before unleashing electricity at this Eevee. I felt quite a bit sorry for the Eevee. I guess I'm a bleeding heart, no matter which way you slice it.
After such an attack, the Eevee seemed like it was out, and it was left twitching a bit. Foamy stared at me again, as if I should do something, and then I remembered I needed to catch it! Tossing another pokeball at it, I couldn't help but feel nervous and a bit guilty for putting the pokemon in such a condition. The ball wiggled one, two, three times, then the light on the button turned off.
"We did it! We caught Eevee!!!" I was excited. Running up to snatch the pokeball, I found I was beat to the punchline, as Foamy snatched it first. He looked like he was going to run off with it, but I cheated and called him back to his pokeball. Now, I knew that I had caused some serious damage on this Eevee, so there was no time to try and come up with a name at that time. I picked up the pokeball and rushed to the Pokemon Center.
Right now, I'm waiting. Nurse Joy said that I really did a number on the pokemon, but that it should be okay. I won't rest until I know that it is.

Seeing Double: Rinaul Mountains
My eyes were sooooo sore after staying up so long. I didn't sleep a wink until after Nurse Joy told me that Eevee was doing much better. So during that time I spent awake, I did some research. I had never seen an eevee of this particular color before, so I wanted to find out more. Fortunately, the Pokemon Center had a few computers for me to use, so I did some internet searching.
Apparently this Eevee was what they called a "Shiny" Eevee, meaning it has a different base color than most Eevees out there. The articles I read also stated how they also tend to have "shinier fur," thus why they got that particular title, but I had to judge that later. It isn't the first time anyone has ever found an eevee like this, and they even showed several different evolutions. Apparently the discoloration stays with the pokemon as it evolves too. And Eevees are well known for evolving! I've always liked Espeons and Umbreons, and they definitely are much different in color than their normal versions. Espeons are a bright green!!! And Umbreons have dark blue rings instead of the usual yellow ones. It is so difficult to figure out which evolution I would want this Eevee to turn into.
And this was about the time when Nurse Joy told me Eevee was doing much better. With that reassurance, I went to sleep shortly there after.
I slept longer than usual, but that's because I stayed up so long, but when I woke up, I immediately went to see Nurse Joy. She almost seemed like she had been waiting for me, having all the pokemon I had given to her to treat (Miss Sprinkles didn't need to get treated, so her pokeball stayed with me). First thing I did when I got my pokeballs back was I checked up on the eevee. "Come on out, Eevee!"
With a burst of light, the eevee appeared in front of me. It looked rather confused, looking left and right as if searching for something. I didn't say anything, but I think he eventually got the idea: He had been caught. He seemed to wilt a bit in disappointment. I felt so bad, but I don't know why. "You'll be happy being with our team, Eevee!" I attempted to reassure. I don't think it did the trick at the time. Either way, the Eevee seemed fine, so I called it back, and then left. I still wanted to explore the area.
As I left the Pokemon Center, I couldn't help but feel like I was being followed. It was weird, and on occasion I would look behind me, but I didn't see anything suspicious. I kept on going, and I made it to Pilkiras Plain again. I went back down the unbeaten path I had been on the day before, and then I kept going past where I had stopped the day before. And I STILL felt like I was being followed. It was kind of creepy, since I had been warned about stalkers who watch the every move of their favorite TV or music stars. Mom and Dad always warned me about not going places by myself, but that can't be helped out here!
Either way, the Plain eventually turned to something I had only heard about. The path became clear again, and there was what seemed to be the start of a mountain trail. Of course, it was only a small ledge from where I was at. Once more, I turned around to make certain nobody was following me, because I still couldn't shake that feeling. I began to walk up the path, and soon enough, I was maybe a mile up the ledge's path. I think I looked over the edge of the ledge (Hey, that rhymes!) and saw that there was now some distance between where I was at and where the ground was at. "I wouldn't want to fall down that" I probably said at one point. I kept looking over the ledges to see if I could possibly spot some Pidgey nests. I remember how common Pidgeys were in Kanto. It would remind me of home if I saw one.
And then I heard something. I heard a rather loud and panicked "VEEE!!!" When I looked, I nearly fell over from surprise. It looked like my Eevee had gotten out of its pokeball and had lost his footing at the edge of the ledge. How it did that was one of the first questions I asked myself in my head, but I didn't hesitate to help pull him up. "How did you do that, Eevee? It's awfully dangerous to just pop out of your pokeball whenever you want!"
The Eevee blinked, then looked at me indignantly. Setting it down next to me, I picked up his pokeball and attempted to call it back with a simple "Return!"
Instead, the pokeball burst with light and suddenly there were two identical Eevees in front of me!!! I must have looked stunned or something, and I somewhat landed on my bottom, not able to stand up anymore. The two eevees started to converse it would seem, and rubbed up against each other like cat pokemon might do.
"I don't get it..." I think I mumbled out as I watched these goings on. One of the eevees stepped forward and pointed to me, then itself. "Are you the one I caught then?" I asked. He nodded, then pointed to the identical eevee behind it. The Eevee behind the first one sat on its hind legs and attempted to give the first one a hug with its forelegs.
It was then it clicked. "Are you two twins?" Both of the eevees seemed to squeal in delight that I had figured it out. I remained on my bottom, now wondering what to do. I had caught one, and the other one I guessed had been following me to find its brother. While I was deep in thought, the newer eevee decided to crawl on top of me, and it poked its nose on a pokeball that was sticking out of my pocket. It disappeared, and the pokeball started wiggling in my apron.
"HUH, WHAT?!!" Looking down, I saw a wiggling pokeball and a smiling Eevee.
"Eevee vee vee Eeve!" it seemed to explain as the other pokeball stopped moving.
"Oh, is he coming with us?" I asked, and the Eevee promptly nodded. I fingered the pokeball which the first eevee had come out of, then picked it up. "Okay, Eevee, return!!" The remaining eevee disappeared, returning to its pokeball.
I think I remained on that ledge for about an hour, sitting and staring at the horizon before getting up to head back to the Pokemon Center yet again. My dress got so dirty today, I'm going to have to get it washed sometime soon! And I only JUST figured out what I should call the two Eevees. The first one I caught will be called Kryptonite (he will be the Espeon), and the second one will be called Midnight (he will be the Umbreon). I think to help me tell the difference between the two, I'll mark them at two different places. I'll figure that part out later. Going to bed now!

Triple Attack: Mine CavesRP Participants: LizzyMoo Trainers: LizDuck Pokemon: Foamy, 2 wild Cranidos, 1 wild Rampardos RP located here!Transcribed from the To the Mines Event. As they walked, it seemed Foamy began to grow more and more squirmy. The Pachirisu had spotted several red crystals as his trainer traveled, and he really, REALLY wanted to nab one for himself. "Foamy, you need to calm down" the trainer even scolded slightly, knowing exactly what he was eying. He liked to "steal" things too often, which was why she was so uncertain about having him out during this important time. Yet, for some reason the Pachirisu began to tense up. "Pachi, chi!" Foamy seemed to almost boast. Obviously her pokemon saw something she hadn't quite seen yet. LizDuck continued to walk forward until she saw something which unsettled her. Three pokemon she had never seen before (afterall, she was from Kanto). And all three of them looked like they were about to attack. Now wasn't the time for pulling out her pokedex to find out what they were. Once thing was very obvious though: she was currently at the disadvantage. Foamy, being the confident pokemon he was, hopped off his trainer's shoulder and almost seemed to stomp his forepaws on the ground, as if showing he was ready to fight. Once more, he taunted the three rock pokemon with a "Pachi chi!" The two Cranidos and Rampardos turned their attention to this measly pokemon and all snorted. LizDuck was one to take advantage of good opportunities like this, and she hightailed it for higher ground. Fortunately, there was a bit of a ledge towards one edge of the cave. It seemed sturdy enough, so she quickly scrambled her way up. All of her senses were on overload right now due to a bit of panic. The blue-headed Cranidos started things off with a simple Headbutt attack. The Pachirisu could have easily dodged it, and did such, but he didn't attack. His trainer was hopeless though, so he had to remind her of her job. "PACHI CHI CHI!!!" the elesquirrel hollered out as loud as he could. "Oh!" LizDuck now knew what she needed to do. Giving out the command, she called out "Foamy, use Thunder on all of them!" The Pachirisu shook his head as if he knew it was the wrong thing to do, but he did as he was asked. Jumping up in the air, he growled out "Pachirisu" as his cheeks crackled with electricity. And in a sudden moment, the room was a glow with a pretty impressive Thunder attack. LizDuck stood on her tiptoes and watched, eagerly wondering how well that attack worked. The three pokemon stood there, bodies braced up for the electrical impact, then shook themselves off. LizDuck almost yelped out "No fair!" but bit her tongue. Apparently the attack had done little to no damage. The largest one of the group, the Rampardos, then sprung forward and began to charge at full speed toward her pokemon. She was about to call out "DODGE IT," but she was too late. Foamy got hit with the full force of a Take Down attack, which sent him flying and crashing into the rock-solid cave wall. The force was enough to cause a few bits of rock to break off the wall, and Foamy definitely looked like he felt that attack. Yet the elesquirrel got back up. He wasn't about to let these stupid rocks look better than him. "Ummm... Foamy, go underground and use Dig on them!" LizDuck knew Foamy could at least avoid attack this way, which seemed like something he desperately needed at the moment. The pachirisu's ears perked up, and he forced a nod before he set to digging a hole as quickly as he could. The two Cranidos had watched the Rampardos, and they both decided to follow in its footsteps and also both began to run at the electric pokemon with two more Take Down attacks. LizDuck called out "Hurry!" to encourage him to move faster before getting hit again. Fortunately, all of their training paid off, and Foamy narrowly managed to get underground before the two "dinosaurs" had trampled over the top of his hole. The two Cranidos looked quite confused. Had their attack turned the pokemon into rock dust? One of them lifted up their foot, as if they were trying to look for squished elesquirrel. Foamy in the meantime, was now working on burrowing upwards as fast as he could to attack the biggest one first. Taking out the biggest one would make things easier on him. It seemed all too quick, but the elesquirrel popped back up out of the ground and seemed to punch the Rampardos. It stunned the Rampardos, since the attack hurt quite a bit, but wasn't enough to knock it out. "Use Dig again!" the trainer called out from her little ledge, which the elesquirrel obediently obeyed. Popping back into the hole he had come out of, he next went for one of the two Cranidos. With the speed of a Diglet underground, he soon enough popped back out and punched at the blue-headed Cranidos. The headbutt pokemon was knocked back and fell on its back. It squirmed for a little bit, trying to get back up, but then gave up and just lay there, knocked out. "Use Dig one more time!" Once again, Foamy popped in and out, this time taking out the grey-headed Cranidos. All that was left now was that Rampardos. LizDuck thought about it for a moment. Biting her lip, she then called out "Foamy, use Super Fang!" That certainly had to do some damage, didn't it? The Pachirisu narrowed its eyes and then sped forward, full speed at the largest of the pokemon, his teeth bared. Once he was at the pokemon's ankles, he latched onto it with a super huge CHOMP. Rampardos looked down at his foot and began to shake it vigorously to get the pathetic pokemon off of him. Eventually, Foamy was thrown off, but he landed on his feet, as if prepared for such. Once more, the Rampardos began to charge, but this time both trainer and pokemon were ready. "DODGE IT AND USE LAST RESORT!!" Time almost seemed to stop for LizDuck. She watched as the final blow was given. All left standing was her Pachirisu. She was mentally drained, and he was physically drained, but the victor.

Reunion with Bob: Katarina Town
I think today is the happiest day in my life!!! I found the reason for Bob to be with me even in the Zatao region!
It all began when I was wandering through the streets, trying to find my way to a new PokeMart. I had never been to this one before, and I am glad I heard about it, because instead of finding the PokeMart, I found a Pokemon Contest instead. Now, I have heard of these back in Kanto, but I had never watched one. Back home, I was too busy being famous to have time to relax and take in the simpler things in life.
Deciding to try something new and exciting, I figured I could participate as a member of the audience. I got in line at the entrance, and made my way into the bleachers for the show. I felt a bit nervous at first, but I don't even know why? The feeling made its way to my stomach, but then it disappeared from there. As I watched the spotlight and the trainers on stage, I almost couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. That is one of my favorite places to be, is on stage! Yet I have never seen such work on stage before. Coordinator and Pokemon, working together to make beautiful displays with Pokemon attacks. It was rather mesmerizing. There were way too many combinations I saw which made my jaw drop in awe.
And then the idea hit me: this is the sort of thing Bob would LOVE. The whole reason I didn't have her come with me to begin with was because she does not like to battle. However, she does love to sing, dance, and generally, be on stage with me. I was certain that Bob could create some beautiful work if we spent the time training her for a Pokemon Contest.
After the Pokemon Contest was over, I went back to the Pokemon Center with one thing on my mind: my Jigglypuff! When I got there, I called back home and told my parents to send Bob to me. I am so glad technology is how it is now, for it took a nerve-wrecking 5 minutes for her to arrive in her Pokeball. I would hate to imagine how long it would have taken to get here 50 years ago.
The moment her Pokeball was in my hand, I tossed it and released her with a simple "It is your time to shine, Bob!" She came back out and blinked her beautiful teal eyes at me. I don't think she was expecting to see me so soon. She smiled and leaped up to my arms, crying out a happy "Jiggly!!" I hugged onto her squishy body tightly. "I won't leave your side anymore, alright Bob?"
Bob has never been a Pokemon that enjoys being in her Pokeball, so she stays outside with me at all times. I wonder what sort of adventures await us in the Pokemon Contests in the future?

Winter Miracle Love: Winter Races
Winter Races. It was a fun activity for many Pokemon trainers to participate in, and it was fun for others to watch. Standing on a hillside away from the crowds, yet close enough to watch the excitement, LizDuck cheered for some of her friends who were participating this year. The idol would have participated, if she had any Pokemon that were large enough for the races. She had a pack of cute, yet small Pokemon. Sure, there were rental Pokemon for trainers to use, but it wouldn't have been as fun as if one of her own Pokemon had crossed the finish line.
Bob was enjoying her time in the snow, which was lightly sprinkled over the area. The Jigglypuff hopped onto a wooden tree stump, then would jump up and land into a small pile of snow she gathered up. It was cold, but the Pokemon had warm enough fur that it didn't bother her.
LizDuck would giggle on occasion at her first Pokemon's antics, then turn to look towards the race track. At times between races, she would also turn her head to appreciate the area surrounding her. It was a relatively secluded area with trees all around the back of her. Due to the snow, they were lightly covered in frost and seemed to sparkle in the sunlight. It seemed like this place hadn't been disturbed in a while, despite being such a lovely spot to admire the view from.
"I don't think I've ever seen such a lovely winter in Celadon," she sighed wistfully, letting out a puff of a fog-like breath. On the sidelines, Bob nodded as best as a Pokemon without much of a distinction between head and body could, then kept up with her simple game of snow-diving.
Everything seemed so peaceful at the moment. The trainer closed her brown eyes and simply listened to the wind. It sounded so enchanting, and almost seemed to put the idol in a trance. It almost sounded like it could be a song.
Smiling as she kept her eyes shut, the girl recalled a simple training exercise which she had practiced since she was small. Her mother would play some notes on the piano, and as the exercise went, a much younger LizDuck would have to repeat the notes vocally. Back then, it seemed like a game, but she now knew it was good practice.
As if reliving the past, the brown-haired girl opened her mouth and repeated the wind song's tune, following each note perfectly as she had heard it. Even Bob stopped her silly little game to admire the song which the Pokemon assumed her trainer had created on her own on the spot.
The idol opened her eyes when she finished and gave a dimpled smile to her Jigglypuff. "I am glad you approve of that! Maybe if I had a piece of paper, I could write down the melody..." After all, it could work very nicely into a song eventually. Walking over to the tree stump, LizDuck put her designer bag down and began to look inside of it for any little scrap of paper. The trainer didn't want to lose such an exquisite melody due to a lack of paper.
As the idol busied herself with such a simple task, something extraordinary occurred. At first, all it seemed to be was a simple and light snowy powder decided to sprinkle down upon the area. All the trainer did was chuckle as she noticed the powder gently decorating her mittens.
However, if one looked above her, a powdery blue figure began to descend from the heavens themselves. The figure became more clear as it came closer and closer, looking like it was going to land. It had two large wings with beautiful plumes decorating its head, wings, and elegantly long tail. It seemed as if all of winter was embodied in this enchanting bird Pokemon. It silently landed in a nearby tree, still remaining unnoticed due to how quietly it had approached the area.
The powder blue bird watched for a bit, its pink eyes curiously taking note of what was going on. Cocking its head from side to side, it eventually called out in question: "Cuuuuuuno?"
By this point, the girl had located the paper and was just about to exclaim a simple "FOUND IT," but instead, she leaped up nearly three feet into the air from sheer surprise. The Jigglypuff was also surprised, but was much less reactive. Instead, she simply seemed to respond to the bird Pokemon: "Jigglypuff jiggly puff puff jiggly!" The balloon Pokemon pointed a paw towards her trainer and once more nodded as best as she physically could.
Recovering from her shock, LizDuck turned and saw a Pokemon she had only heard legends of. Her jaw gaped a bit and her eyes bugged out as wide as her eyelids would allow. It took a whole minute for her to recover, and when she did, the first thing she went for was the Pokedex in her apron pocket.
"Articuno: the Freeze Pokemon. A legendary bird Pokemon. It can create blizzards by freezing moisture in the air."
The Articuno once more cocked its head to the side, its pink eyes now fixated on LizDuck. It looked like it wanted to ask the trainer a question. However, instead, it opened up its beak and began to sing. The song which came out was the same whimsical wind song which LizDuck had mimicked so perfectly earlier. When the Pokemon stopped singing, it looked to the trainer expectantly.
The trainer's cheeks flushed a bit and her eyes blinked at the large Arctic bird before she understood what it seemed to be asking. Once more, she closed her eyes and sang out the notes once more, matching the Pokemon's melody perfectly. She opened her eyes, and offered the same dimpled smile she had given her Jigglypuff earlier.
The trainer had no idea that she had just replied to an Articuno love song, and now according to the rituals of this Pokemon, she was officially the mate of the legendary bird. Winter miracle, perhaps. However, accidental love was definitely what happened.

Productive Days: Pilkiras Plain
Today was such a productive day! Not only have I finally finished my new song, "Frost Rain," but I've had some time to work with training Bob, as well as I caught a new Pokemon. I don't know where to begin!
Well, I suppose I should just start from the beginning. During the Winter Races, I had a streak of inspiration, or rather, luck in encountering a rare Pokemon. It's hard for others to believe me, but I saw an Articuno, and it sang for me! I liked the tune so much, I decided to write a song about the encounter. The tune was easy enough, but the lyrics were really hard to come up with. However, I finished that up today! I'll save it for a future performance, maybe if it is snowing so it makes sense.
Finishing that up put me in a very good mood, so I decided that today Bob and I could spend the day working on some various routines for any possible coordinating contests. She knows how to dance and sing, the singing part is pretty obvious, but she's had much practice with dancing because of living with me. However, I think we need to work with her on the natural beauty of her attacks.
Bob definitely didn't mind the extra attention. In fact, I think she coveted it! I decided we should go to the Pilkiras Plain, just because it would be a bit more spacious for us to work. The first thing we worked on was something a bit silly, but it is something I've known that she's had problems with.
Rollout. For some reason, Bob always gets ridiculously dizzy when she performs this attack. I see Rollout as having great possibilities in a coordinating contest, but if she gets dizzy, she'll roll into a wall instead of where she should be going.
We practiced for 2 hours, then we took a break. And it was then that we saw him. An absolutely gorgeous Altaria. And it had 2 heart-shaped cheek markings! How perfect was this?! I mean, I LOVE hearts! I think Bob had the same idea as me, for she gave me her best determined expression I've ever seen. Why must Bob be so cute?!!
"Okay, Bob, use Rollout," I said, to which the balloon Pokemon bounced into action. She started to roll, and started heading in the direction of the Altaria. However, the Altaria spooked really easily and just flew away! It was so much bigger, I don't know if it just didn't like battling, or was a scaredy bird, but either way, it was running away.
Then something strange happen. I don't know how to explain it, but it looked like the Altaria got hit by some attack while in the air. It looked like an icy wind, but there weren't any trainers or other Pokemon in the area that I could see. It was weird. The Pokemon fell from the sky at that point, and landed right in Bob's rollout path and got hit by Rollout.
I probably fumbled with my Pokeball, but I got it out of my apron and tossed it at the Pokemon. And somehow that worked! I managed to capture the biggest Pokemon of my crew so far! It was amazing! I don't think I've ever felt so accomplished before!
Hopefully my year keeps on cooperating like this!
