THE GRASS FIELD The breeze from the stadium air conditioners rustled the flat grassland arena, sending small clouds of harmless pollen into the air. The land is completely flat, making manuverability easy to those build to walk on land. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GRASS type attacks

Walking into the arena, LizDuck could feel her breath being stolen away by how simple and enchanting this field was. It just felt like a day meant for a picnic with how the layout of the field was.
Yet she knew that wasn't the reason why she was here. She was here to help Midnight train a little. The young idol had found she was being a bit careless with her training and ended up battling Kryptonite more frequently than identical-twin younger brother. Making a determined face, she then reached into an apron pocket and tossed the Eevee's pokeball.
With a flash of light, the Pokemon appeared in front of her, looking from left to right to see if his elder brother was also out. "Vee?" he asked with the wag of his tail.
"No, Kryptonite isn't out right now. You're going to battle today. Just do your best, okay?"
With a firm nod, the Eevee hopped into the grass, then stood as tall as he could to try and find his opponent.
(Rolling to see who goes first ;D )

It had been a while since Oyumi had last battled, but now she was on the field with her own Pokemon. With a confident grin, the young woman stepped forward, tossing her own Pokeball onto the grass. She watched as her Girafarig appeared in a flash of red light, and easily caught the pokeball as it returned to her hand. And then, slid the ball back onto her belt and waved at the other trainer.
"Good luck!"
Kamu was just as enthusiastic as his trainer to be on the battle field. Giddy, even. The young Girafarig couldn't help but pace in anticipation, his tail snapping anxiously at every stray speck of dust that came near it. Any second now, and he'd be commanded to attack. The eager tension made him quiver with excitement, silver eyes sparkling nervously.

With a smile, the idol waved back to the other trainer. She shouted out "Same to you!" before looking at the other's Pokemon. It was a Girafarig! She couldn't help but think back to the wagon journey where many of them attacked said wagons.
The Eevee smiled as well and approached the long neck Pokemon and gave a hearty "Vee vee!"
Finally, both trainer and Pokemon began to concentrate on why they were there: to battle!
"Okay, let's start things off with a Bite attack!"
Midnight couldn't help but frown slightly. He had just met this Pokemon, and now he had to attack already? Obediently, he opened up his mouth and pounced at his opponent, aiming to bite at his rather strange looking tail.

The only thought that went through Oyumi's head as the Eevee aimed for Kamu's tail was Oh crap. Really, it wasn't the Girafarig's fault. It was written into the Pokemon's very being. Kamu's tail just happened to be... A bit more of a biter than most. It would snap at anything that came near it, friend or foe.
Kamu gave a squeal of pain as he felt the little Eevee's fangs sink into his sensitive tail. Almost instantly he felt his tail snap back at midnight with a rather powerful and impressive Crunch attack.

"Vee!!!" the silvery Pokemon squealed out as the tail actually bit it back. Now that was just wrong, or at least Midnight seemed to think so.
LizDuck, though a bit surprised, had already known that the tail was like a brain of its own. "Oh, sorry about that, Midnight. I thought you knew the tail could bite back!" She laughed a nervous laugh, then continued on with "Try another Bite attack somewhere else maybe?" Okay, she certainly didn't sound all that confident at the moment.
The Eevee backed up a bit, then began to charge towards the long neck Pokemon with a courageous "Eevee!!!" This time, he avoided aiming for the tail and went for a foreleg instead.

Oyumi winced sympathetically as the Eevee's teeth dug into Kamu's foreleg, and she quickly shouted out her command for her Pokemon both mentally and verbally.
"Use Confusion!
The second the mental shout reached him, Kamu's antlers began to glow purple. And as soon as the attack was said verbally, he released the attack with a bellow.

When the Normal type let go, he was suddenly hit by some unexplained attack. He felt a little bit disoriented, but after a shake or two, he was good to go again.
The idol watched as her Pokemon seemed to struggle a bit with the blast that hit him. LizDuck didn't like to rely too heavily upon the same attacks over and over again, so her next command was something to mix things up a bit (if it worked).
"Use Toxic on it!"
"Vee!" Jumping back, Midnight took a deep breath in, then heaved out a huge breath and spewed out a black gas. It wasn't hard to dodge it in all honesty, but maybe they'd be lucky?

Kamu had leaned down just briefly to inspect the bite on his foreleg when the Eevee attacked, and he didn't have much time to dodge the attack. He almost made it out, but breathed in the edge of the cloud. Instantly, he felt the effects of the poison, before they faded into nothingness. He'd gotten off lucky.
"Alright Kamu! Use Iron Tail!" Oyumi shouted, pointing towards the Eevee enthusiastically.
Almost instantly, the Girafarig responded. His tail began to glow and he charged at the Eevee, swinging it towards him.

The Eevee was quite proud of himself, until he got a big knock to the back from the other Pokemon's tail. This flattened Midnight into a bit of a pancake on the ground. However, he was not pleased by this at all.
Popping back up to his paws, he once more attacked with a Bite to the Girafarig's hind leg, basically forgetting he was supposed to wait for a command.
On the sidelines, LizDuck made a small little "eep!"

Once again, the attack to his hind area (regardless of the Eevee's jaws latching onto his leg) triggered his tail's attack defense. Once again, the tail aimed a Crunch attack at the young Eevee, even as the Girafarig tried to shake the Pokemon off his hind leg.

The Eevee was quite annoyed by this tail defense mechanism, and after receiving a chomp to the tail, he returned the favor again with another Bite.
"Hey, wait, you're supposed to be waiting for commands..." LizDuck called out in a panic. This had never happened to her before.

"Quick, use Zen Headbutt! Oyumi called before Kamu's defense mechanism could kick in again.
Almost instantly, Kamu's horns began glowing purple again. But this time, he charged towards the Eevee, intent on ramming the Pokemon in the side.

Midnight landed on the ground after getting in a chomp or two, and was instantly sent flying across the grassy field, uprooting a few blades of grass in the process. This battle was almost, done, he could tell.
LizDuck, not wanting to seem like a bad trainer, called out an attack before her Pokemon could start attacking without her consent. "Ummmm...Bite once more?"
If anything, everyone knew that the Pokemon knew this attack well, and as he pushed himself up to his feet again, he made his way to the other Pokemon. It almost seemed like the silvery Pokemon was stumbling over his feet rather than walking at this point. Yet, he approached the other Pokemon and stopped right in front of it. And without another thought, he once more tried to bite onto the opponent's foreleg. However, he wasn't exactly in the best of conditions and it was probably easy enough to dodge.
