((Just to be clear, even if we catch one of the Cranidos/Rampardos we can still try for the final pokemon right?))

Fluo felt like a naughty Gretel wandering the tunnel with her fiendish "Hansel." Sure, they weren't following cookie crumbs but the prospects of a lavish Gingerbread House/Surprise at the end of the tunnel, was the only thing that kept her from hyperventilating. The tunnel was getting increasingly cramp. After a near disfiguring experience, Fluo once again donned on her sunglasses to protect her eyes from all the jagged protrusions. She held an excessively large red crystal to guide her through the path so she wouldn't be at a complete visual disadvantage. "Come on, where's the Wicked witch and her tray of cookies?" muttered fluo under her breath.

Alphaville was less than amused. Throughout the mines he could hear delicious cries of pain and delirious assault. He must ask Fluo to purchase a cottage near a cave or mines in the future. They made for great tactical sports, especially of the nightmares variety.

As they walked, it seemed Foamy began to grow more and more squirmy. The Pachirisu had spotted several red crystals as his trainer traveled, and he really, REALLY wanted to nab one for himself.

"Foamy, you need to calm down" the trainer even scolded slightly, knowing exactly what he was eying. He liked to "steal" things too often, which was why she was so uncertain about having him out during this important time. Yet, for some reason the Pachirisu began to tense up.

"Pachi, chi!" Foamy seemed to almost boast. Obviously her pokemon saw something she hadn't quite seen yet. LizDuck continued to walk forward until she saw something which unsettled her. Three pokemon she had never seen before (afterall, she was from Kanto). And all three of them looked like they were about to attack. Now wasn't the time for pulling out her pokedex to find out what they were. Once thing was very obvious though: she was currently at the disadvantage.

Foamy, being the confident pokemon he was, hopped off his trainer's shoulder and almost seemed to stomp his forepaws on the ground, as if showing he was ready to fight. Once more, he taunted the three rock pokemon with a "Pachi chi!" The two Cranidos and Ramparados turned their attention to this measly pokemon and all snorted. LizDuck was one to take advantage of good opportunities like this, and she hightailed it for higher ground. Fortunately, there was a bit of a ledge towards one edge of the cave. It seemed sturdy enough, so she quickly scrambled her way up. All of her senses were on overload right now due to a bit of panic.

The blue-headed Cranidos started things off with a simple Headbutt attack. The Pachirisu could have easily dodged it, and did such, but he didn't attack. His trainer was hopeless though, so he had to remind her of her job. "PACHI CHI CHI!!!" the elesquirrel hollered out as loud as he could.

"Oh!" LizDuck now knew what she needed to do. Giving out the command, she called out "Foamy, use Thunder on all of them!"

The Pachirisu shook his head as if he knew it was the wrong thing to do, but he did as he was asked. Jumping up in the air, he growled out "Pachirisu" as his cheeks crackled with electricity. And in a sudden moment, the room was a glow with a pretty impressive Thunder attack. LizDuck stood on her tiptoes and watched, eagerly wondering how well that attack worked.

The three pokemon stood there, bodies braced up for the electrical impact, then shook themselves off. LizDuck almost yelped out "No fair!" but bit her tongue. Apparently the attack had done little to no damage. The largest one of the group, the Ramparados, then sprung forward and began to charge at full speed toward her pokemon. She was about to call out "DODGE IT," but she was too late. Foamy got hit with the full force of a Take Down attack, which sent him flying and crashing into the rock-solid cave wall. The force was enough to cause a few bits of rock to break off the wall, and Foamy definitely looked like he felt that attack. Yet the elesquirrel got back up. He wasn't about to let these stupid rocks look better than him.

"Ummm... Foamy, go underground and use Dig on them!" LizDuck knew Foamy could at least avoid attack this way, which seemed like something he desperately needed at the moment. The pachirisu's ears perked up, and he forced a nod before he set to digging a hole as quickly as he could. The two Cranidos had watched the Ramparados, and they both decided to follow in its footsteps and also both began to run at the electric pokemon with two more Take Down attacks. LizDuck called out "Hurry!" to encourage him to move faster before getting hit again.

Fortunately, all of their training paid off, and Foamy narrowly managed to get underground before the two "dinosaurs" had trampled over the top of his hole. The two Cranidos looked quite confused. Had their attack turned the pokemon into rock dust? One of them lifted up their foot, as if they were trying to look for squished elesquirrel.

Foamy in the meantime, was now working on burrowing upwards as fast as he could to attack the biggest one first. Taking out the biggest one would make things easier on him. It seemed all too quick, but the elesquirrel popped back up out of the ground and seemed to punch the Ramparados. It stunned the Ramparados, since the attack hurt quite a bit, but wasn't enough to knock it out.

"Use Dig again!" the trainer called out from her little ledge, which the elesquirrel obediently obeyed. Popping back into the hole he had come out of, he next went for one of the two Cranidos. With the speed of a Diglet underground, he soon enough popped back out and punched at the blue-headed Cranidos. The headbutt pokemon was knocked back and fell on its back. It squirmed for a little bit, trying to get back up, but then gave up and just lay there, knocked out.

"Use Dig one more time!" Once again, Foamy popped in and out, this time taking out the grey-headed Cranidos. All that was left now was that Ramparados. LizDuck thought about it for a moment. Biting her lip, she then called out "Foamy, use Super Fang!" That certainly had to do some damage, didn't it?

The Pachirisu narrowed its eyes and then sped forward, full speed at the largest of the pokemon, his teeth bared. Once he was at the pokemon's ankles, he latched onto it with a super huge CHOMP. Ramparados looked down at his foot and began to shake it vigorously to get the pathetic pokemon off of him. Eventually, Foamy was thrown off, but he landed on his feet, as if prepared for such. Once more, the Ramparados began to charge, but this time both trainer and pokemon were ready.

"DODGE IT AND USE LAST RESORT!!"

Time almost seemed to stop for LizDuck. She watched as the final blow was given. All left standing was her Pachirisu. She was mentally drained, and he was physically drained, but the victor.

User ImageAs Fin continued further along the tunnel, she thought she saw a shape against the glow of the crystals. A human and a Pokémon, she thought – but friend or foe? Afraid it might be a Rocket, she scooped Caddie up into her arms and slowed, being careful not to make too much noise on the loose rocks at her feet.

But as she got closer, she realized that she'd seen this girl and her Girafarig before – they were from the caravan! She'd seen them, but never spoken to them. Abandoning all pretense of caution, she crunched quickly toward the other trainer. "Hello!" she called, waving, hoping the other girl could see her in the darkness.

Did he… hear someone? The walls of the caves made voices echo and distort, so he wasn’t very sure. It wasn’t like there was any way for him to go but stra-
Oh. The tunnel ended into a massive cavern, with branches going off every which way. This was ridiculous! It would take him a year to search every tunnel and find them! He groaned, Trist looking just as confused as he poked his nose down some tunnels and called out.

“Gira? Girrraaaa?”

He really had no clue either. Should he stay and wait here? Maybe someone would loop back? He ran his hand through his hair, not sure what would be best. He really wasn’t helping just sitting here, but getting lost down one tunnel for who knew how long didn’t sound like the right choice either.

Trist came back to him, looking expectantly. Arashi reached out and skritched his muzzle lightly, not quite comfortable yet offering the same service to McBitey Face yet.

He supposed they could stay here a few minutes and see if they could figure out which way, maybe something would guide them? If not, they’d just have to pick one and hope.

In the distance Liam could see a strange figure up ahead, barely illuminated by the small red crystals embedded in the walls. Liam stiffened momentarily. Rockets? He didn't have any pokemon, but that didn't mean he was going to go down without a fight. Shifting so he was slightly hunched over the healer narrowed his eyes, tensing right before he charged, hoping to tackle the 'rocket' and gain the upper hand.

It was right before the impact that he realized it was not, in fact, a rocket, but Arin! Skidding to a halt, the other managed to catch himself on the wall with one hand just before running straight into the poor girl, his breathing erratic.

"Arin!"

((hope this isn't too long xDD))

Nyght bit her lip painfully as she squeezed into the tunnel on the far right. A few others had chosen similarly, but it had taken so long for Nyght to work up her nerve, that she figured they were long gone. Anakin felt warm against Nyght’s torso in the otherwise cool and damp cavern, but the little pokemon did nothing to dispel the gloom. Nyght had broken off a piece of the brightest glowing crystal she could find in the cavern, promising herself that she would donate money to the caves conservation or something if it was found the crystals were special. As a scientist, she hated the idea of disturbing such a beautiful natural wonder, but survival instincts were coming first right now.

Anakin cried a bit as the darkness enveloped the pair deeper into the cave. Nyght tried to comfort the skitty with the hand that wasn’t holding the crystal shard, but it was difficult when he could certainly hear how fast her heart was beating in her chest. Not at all reassured, Anakin buried his head in Nyght’s elbow, shaking softly. The guilt that hung in Nyght’s stomach was stony. She hated how upset he was, but she couldn’t do anything about it anymore, they had to get through here. “Hey little one, it’s going to be all right. We need to be brave and save other pokemon from the bad guys, remember? You were so proud of protecting me before, remember that?” Nyght voice sounded monstrous in the small tube of rock, even though she was whispering softly to the skitty. Despite the shiver that went through the girl’s body at the sound, Anakin seemed slightly reassured. A little nose poked up at Nyght, and she couldn’t feel him shaking anymore. Taking a deep breath herself, Nyght picked up the pace. The faster they got through this cave system, the sooner that she would find the group again.

Speaking of the group, was that them up ahead? Nyght could swear she had heard something, perhaps this path wasn’t as long as she had thought after all. For a while there, the silence had been deafening without the familiar chatter of sixty voices, but Nyght was sure that she heard something ahead. But… was that a groan? That didn’t sound good. Nyght hurried her foot steps, wishing they didn’t pound so much so that she could hear better.

ROAAAAAR!

All of a sudden hearing was the last thing Nyght wanted to do. She had picked up her pace to a run when she was sure of the groaning, but as she awkwardly tumbled into a large, open cavern filled with the red crystals, the sight in the center was terrifying. Were those… DINO SAURS?!?! What had those rocket done?! Nyght felt Anakin start shaking again in fear of the three large sets of fangs dripping with saliva in front of them, but maybe that was just Nyght’s body shaking, she couldn’t be sure.

Trying to get her breathing under control, Nyght looked down to Anakin momentarily. The skitty weakly cried up at her, knowing what his job was as her borrowed pokemon, but wishing that he didn’t have to fight. Nyght felt so guilty, but the dinosaur pokemon had surrounded the pair, there was no option of running from these three. Anakin seemed to realize this just as Nyght was trying to find a way to tell him, and he nodded nervously, wiggling out of Nyght’s arms to the ground. “Ski-TY!” Nyght’s heart melted at the bravery that the tiny pokemon showed, and wow did he look tiny compared to the angry monsters facing him.

Glancing around her for the first time, Nyght realized that the idiot rockets had plenty of supplies with them. There was every kind of potion that Nyght could wish for! Hopefully that would help keep Anakin alive. Seeing something glinting close by, Nyght dived towards it to discover a Quick Claw. “Yes! Anakin, grab this and hold on to it!” Nyght quickly tossed the claw towards the skitty, which Anakin leaped up to grab happily. He felt faster already!

“All right buddy, start with water pulse! Soak those guys!” As Anakin turned to face the dinosaur pokemon, Nyght continued pawing through the clothing and bags of the semi-conscious rockets. There was no pity in Nyght’s determination, and whenever a rocket was conscious enough to protest Nyght emptying their pockets, she put her scrappy muscles to use and made sure they were unconscious again, quite firmly at times….

In the meantime, Anakin faced the towering pokemon in front, well more above him. Drawing power into him, Anakin cried out and unleashed ultrasonic waves of water towards the two Cranidos, then whipping around to the larger Rampardos. The waves hit the dinosaurs hard and directly, forcing the Cranidos’ to their knees. The Rampardos was a bit stronger, but thankfully Anakin was able to aim right into its face, causing a bought of confusion to take over it.

The Cranidos’, though, were not confused and fought with each other to try to get the tasty morsel of a pokemon. The one with a large blue plate on its head got to Anakin first and tried to whip its tail towards the small skitty. Anakin leaped to one side, barely missing the brunt of the tail, but the second Cranidos was able to get a claw on the skitty’s exposed belly. Crying out, Anakin fell to the ground in pain.

Nyght looked up quickly and ran towards Anakin. She had potion in her hand, which she had just stolen off of a particularly annoying semi-conscious body. Depressing the nozzle handle immediately, Nyght sprayed the wound with the healing substance. Anakin felt better, but not perfect, and Nyght worried to herself.

“I need to end this… Send another water pulse at them and I’ll see what I can do….” Nyght backed up cautiously as Anakin turned to face the twin Cranidos’, with the Rampardos still wandering around the back of the cavern in confusion. Was that thing poking a crystal?!

Anakin didn’t have time to wonder about such things as the two dinosaur pokemon closed in again. Gathering energy once more, Anakin leaped into the air towards the nearest crystal and whipped his tail towards the Cranidos, releasing wave after wave of ultrasonically charged water straight into the pokemon’s faces. Nyght knew this was her chance as they both became as confused as their larger companion. Looking at each other vaguely, the Cranidos had obviously lost the notion of fighting, or even of walking it seemed, as one tripped over a protruding crystal and flailed its short arms helplessly. Nyght rushed forward, safari ball in hand and tossed out the emerald green ball towards the dinosaur pokemon. At least she could get one out of the fight, and maybe they could keep the other two confused enough not to follow the trainer and skitty…. Maybe….

Meeka snuggled against Ebba."Buddy, I don't think we are ever getting out..." She sobbed once more. Suddenly, the fears of childhood hit her and she cringed. She was never found of the darkness, and the one crystal she carried with her wasn't enough. Ebba got up and flicked his tail. He wasn't going to leave Meeka by herself, but he would try his best to obtain help. "Stannnnnnnn." he echoed his voice through the caves. "Stannnnnnn!" He really had to get help soon. Before Meeka actually went delirious.

Renekai continued stumbling down the cave. Was it just Renekai, or was her crystal getting dimmer?

"Dreydonna, use Sunny Day, please!" Renekai said to the nearby Ghastly.

Dreydonna obliged and, with no where to go, a small, miniature sun followed Dreydonna down the tunnel. It was much easier to see now. Renekai sighed, her dark thoughts of evil shadows attacking vanishing along with the darkness. "That's much better. Thanks, Dreydonna."

"Ghaaaaas," Dreydonna replied, levitating a little ahead, leading the way.

((Eep, nevermind. I'm just going to head out and get something to eat then come back. Goodluck to everyone entering.))

Lenne quickly ran back down the tunnel she came from and down another, hoping that whatever she had seen would not follow her, they seemed much to large to be able to anyways.

Piper ran right after Lenne, once she saw how frightened she was, and was following close behind her now.

Lenne's new tunnel seemed to be taking her somewhere, but where?

Piney was glad that Daybreak could light up the cave with a focused Morning Sun. She would've hated to wander around in the dark. There was no telling what she would've run into around here, be it Rocket or hostile Pokemon. If there were any in this mine.

She froze suddenly. What was that? Was that... a thump she heard? Glancing down at her Pokemon, it was clear that she heard it too.

Another thump. This time, she didn't hesitate. As she ran closer to the source of the noise, it became louder, and they could even feel the vibration through the rock.

The two of them entered a large room, where three monstrous fossil Pokemon stamped around and flung the Rockets around like they were toys. One of the grunts smacked into a wall close to them, but otherwise, no one had noticed the newcomers yet.

Such luck wasn't going to hold out for long. After the Cranidoses and oddly colored Rampardos finished wiping out the criminals, they caught scent of Piney and Daybreak, and turned their beady eyes towards them.

"Oooh crap." She muttered under her breath. The three dinosaurs stampeded towards them, and only a quick leap to the side saved their hides. The Espeon managed to land on all four legs, but the officer tumbled into a bunch of equipment.

"Ow. That's going to leave a mark." Piney mumbled, but now was not the time to think about the bruises she was going to have. She wished that Era hadn't tired herself out last night. Her singing might have put these brutes to sleep in an instance.

They charged again. She couldn't untangle herself from the debris in time, but she knew what to do now.

"Daybreak! Blind them with sunlight!"

Her gem was already shining from lighting the path minutes ago, and now it gleamed brightly as she summoned more light. The Pokemon howled and roared at the sudden brightness, and the Rampardos swung its tail in a frenzy. Acting like a club, it brought more rocks down into the room.

This wasn't going to work as well as she thought. Piney got up and grabbed a pick axe for comfort.

"Ok then. Um..." She glanced around the place, looking for anything to help. There were some barrels of oil, or water. Maybe those would be useful.

"Daybreak! Here!" Piney kicked over some of the barrels, and some liquid spilled out. The Espeon used her psychic abilities to spread the fluid in front of the charging Pokemon. The newly created slick made their feets slipped, and as they fell, they crashed into each other to form a messy pile of legs and tails. The Rampardos was on the top, and she almost felt sorry for the smaller Cranadoses on the bottom.

But they would get up soon if she stall anymore. Grabbing the Pokeball from her belt, she threw it at the Pokemon, hoping that they were stunned enough to not resist.

… there was something downright freaky about the glowing rings and blue eyes floating around on their own, Alastair had to admit to himself. He told himself that it was just Ryou and he was just making sure nothing snuck up on them, but still. FLOATING EYES. That was almost always a sign of danger, just by itself. He took more comfort in Con’s presence and the lack of presence of any snarls. “No, I don’t mind. If I’m going to be wandering around here without a clue, I’d rather wander around with someone.”

The echoes of whispers, voices of trainers who had gone off on their own, reached Alastair, but he did his best to ignore them. This place was freaky enough without ghostly voices coming from every single direction. “So… any ideas on which direction we should head off now?” he asked weakly, unsure of where to go. But, he knew he didn’t want to stay here. He did not want to come out of this cave and announce that his part in this grand adventure had been to stand around until everything was over.

Oh, yes, of course. Con was very much in favor of keeping an eye on the trainers. Humans had such a bad habit of doing epically stupid things if you didn’t keep an eye on them… like when Alastair had gone off to the forest with two other trainers for company. He had also taken along Lum, but Con preferred to ignore that. Wait, sandwiches?! That immediately caught Con’s interest and, once again, he found himself trying to make those pathetic puppy-dog eyes at Ryou.

It didn’t work, of course. It’ll be a tough battle, but I think I can manage to help you vanquish a few sandwiches, in the name of all that is good…

User ImageKayla and Hea were about to start into the tunnel when they heard a shout of greetin behind them. They turned around quickly, not sure if it was an enemy or friend. Hea tensed a bit and had her eyes fixed at the approaching person. Her ears were swaying back and forward, aware that they had their backs turned away from the tunnel and anything could pop behind them too.

As seconds passed, the tension got realized when they realized it was a fellow trainer and pokemon from the journey. Smiling in relief, Kayla waved as well. "Hey there! You scared me for a second."

Kayla didn't recognized her as one of the trainer's she had talked to previously on the journey but she had seen her a few times while they had camped. "The name's Kayla." Kayla extended her hand to do a handshake. "This is Hea."

Hea extended her head to sniff at the trainer and her pokemon. "Brrriiing."
