Suddenly Seul stood up and shook his coat, distracting Riley. Vanyel was tugging impatiently on his fur, and Seul nodded before walking off. Riley realized Vanyel wanted to walk around. She wondered why a kirlia like him had taken such a liking to a dark type like Seul, but she was just glad he wasn't alone. When Riley looked back, Kuraz had already decided he liked Berrie due to their mama kinship. Had he not been distracted, he would have been interested in Lua, who he sensed was not what she seemed, but as it was he just allowed it as a minor curiosity. He let Loofah and Spirit closer to look, taking Eevee gently from her carrier and placing her on the ground within range of his protective paws. She stretched out her face, mewling and curious to sniff the two. "Vii!" With little warning she darted jerkily at Loofah, aiming to mush her face into the strange white bubbles around his neck.
Riley watched with a smile, thinking about all Kuraz had told her and wondering just who this eevee really was. She was some kind of princess, right? "I'd like to visit your home sometime, Kuraz," she said. He was a bit distracted, but he nodded before turning his attention back to his charge. Riley was completely thrown off track when, to her surprise, one of Berrie's pokemon suddenly grew huge! "Wah! Did- did your pokemon just evolve!?" Riley gaped. It was really big! "It reminds me of when Zeke evolved," she said, rubbing her crobat's head affectionately. "He used to be a tiny zubat. It took him a while to learn he can't sit on my shoulder anymore," Riley laughed. "Congratulations on the evolution! What kind of pokemon is C-crash?" She hesitated a bit on the came, not sure if she was remembering right. Berrie did have a bunch of pokemon.

Jay listened, quirking an eyebrow a bit as he did. That all actually sounded... really interesting. Unfortunately, it kind of seemed like something he couldn't enjoy much. He had a feeling those kinds of people probably had a darn good control of their voices, and no matter how good his hearing was, he highly doubted he could pick up on enough fluctuation through that alone to pick up on any 'tells'. It sounded like it depended a lot on the visual sense, something he was sorely lacking. "Huh.... certainly does sound great," he remarked, "Ah imagine it's uh hell've uh lotta fun ta take part in." He smirked. "Sounds perty intellectual, in uh way, though... readin' people, estimatin' probabilities, really playin' thuh manipulation field... Didn' know yew were so cerebral, Sebs," he commented teasingly.
Jay gave a wry smirk, but it was admittedly a bit uncertain. He wasn't sure how much it meant for Sebastian, but he hoped he wouldn't worry too much. Maybe some, but... not too much. It was a pretty questionable situation after all. He perked up, though, as Sebastian mentioned a prize booth, visibly attentive. "S'up to you. Wouldn't mind 'n extra someone just ta... help make sure've everythin', but if'n ya wanna go look, yer more'n welcome to," he replied, listening for any indication of the prize booth. He was sure Zoey would... hopefully find them soon, and let them know how they were doing.
Speaking of the group, Tria evidently agreed with Deuce on the sanity of the coins. She gave a little disapproving shake of her head, but let Rummy run off to resume his game playing with Deuce. She instead found a drinking fountain, and drained some water into the bucket, moving her head to swish it around. She nudged the bucket up to a wall, then, using her mouth and chest, a bit, tipped it to dump the water out, but keep the coins inside. She did that a few times to try and get rid of the popcorn and saliva, and then did a quick, elegant pace back to the two to see how they were doing.

Sebastian smiled, head nodding in agreement. It really was; besides hole digging, cards was probably one of the few things Sebastian did that counted as a ‘pass-time’. "It is." He was quiet a moment in though, grin returning after a moment. "You know Jay, I’d bet you’d do great. You’d probably throw all kinds of people off in the game." He responded in crossing. He could just imagine a how a game like that could play out… it would be highly amusing. He did look confused a moment though. "Cerebral…?" That wasn’t quite a word he’d heard before.
He smiled a little and shrugged, eyeing his pokemon a moment in thought. "I can stay and help ya. And then… once that’s done, I’ll go look." He replied sincerely. He’d feel bad just ditching Jay to handle things and while everyone in the faire seemed legit and friendly, you never could be too careful about what kind of thieves were lurking about. Or well, where coins might fall to disappear. Besides, it wouldn’t take too long he assumed. He tapped the counter of the prize booth, maneuvering over a bit so Jay could stand next to him at it. "Here we go. I’ll make sure none go rolling away from ya, alright?" Sebastian jested, checking to make sure his team was still there as well as keeping an eye out just in case.
Rummy continued flinging himself at games and shoving tokens in his mouth for storage until he returned to Tria to deposit them. He wasn’t even aware the poor horse had attempted to clean them off, giving muffled chirps as he once more attempted to deposit a mouthful of tokens into the bucket. Deuce was rolling his eyes in the background, both at Rummy’s antics as well as Tria’s attempts to clean the mess. She set her head down, watching the two eeveelutions, but lifted her head as she also spotted something in the sky. She gave a small neigh, and Zoey, fluttering above, gave a screech down to the trio. Tria let out a louder whinny, quickly climbing up to her feet, her flames leaping up as she looked to the bat, who promptly darted off. She shook her head, giving another little sound, and looked over to the other two, eying Deuce at the growling that came from him. Or his stomach, rather. Sebastian honestly gave a hearty laugh as Jay was quick to counter his belief that he would be good at the game. He couldn’t blame him for it but well… Sebastian had come to find that Jay was full of his own little surprises. It just didn’t seem right to let him get away with downplaying this kind of stuff. "Can shoot a gun but can’t play cards? Sorry Jay, but I’m going to have to disagree." He remarked teasingly. He straightened up a bit though, smile wavering just a bit. "They make special cards you know, that don’t seem much different from regular ones. " He pointed into the air as he spoke. "And sure, physical tells are easier to look for but people train to hide those. It’s not called a ‘poker face’ for nothing you know." Shaking his head he focused back to the task at hand. "Nah, see that’s where I think you’d be good. It’s not just faces or voices. There’s other things too… like how much they’re talking or if they’re not talking at all, how fast they deal or how fast they toss bets. Heck, even the tones of their voices… that kind of stuff can give a person away. You just need to know what to search for." Damn, he was entirely too involved in thinking about this situation though to be fair, Jay brought to light a lot of things he’d never truly thought hard about. "Oh! I see." He blinked a bit as Jay tapped him against the head, an eyebrow quirking a little at the interaction. Well at least he was getting smacked for that. Rummy chirped excitedly as he delivered the remainder of his tokens, blinking and watching the Rapidash curiously a moment as the horse plopped to the ground. For a moment he looked honestly worried, skipping around her and poking her gently in inquisition. He blinked though when the bat appeared, recognizing her from before and becoming excited once more, skipping around excitedly. He stopped at the sound of growling, staring in Deuce’s direction. Were they all getting hungry? Actually, now that he thought about it, he was kind of hungry too! Maybe Zoey was here to take them back for munchies! Without much hesitation he chirped and picked the bucket up to carry, wiggling and looking up expectantly at Tria to lead the way. Well that was an unexpected reaction. Jay smirked curiously when Sebastian actually laughed at what he thought was a pretty solid list of reasons on the "No card games for Jay", list. Well damn, Sebastian never ceased to surprise him. Any time he thought he had a pretty rock solid case, Sebastian would still have something to present against it. He shook his head a little, listening and reaching back to scratch the back of his head under his hat. "Mm, well... ah think yer bein' far too generous there, but... thank yew all the same. Might not mind playin' with people ah could trust're somethin'.... but it seems like it'd be hard ta really know what others're playin'... Have ta reach over 'n feel 'em erry time 'r something." He shrugged, grinning some. "It does sound like it could be perty fun once the mechanics of it were worked out, though, ah'll admit," he chuckled.
He smiled as Jay thanked him, giving a bit of a nod, and turning his attention towards the prize booth as they approached. As it turned out, they had a rather nifty little system. A psychic pokemon, who could easily levitate and organize the coins into easy to count piles of ten-twenty five. After a count -- and a recount, to be safe -- plus the coins that Golett came by to drop off, Jay had nearly six hundred coins. The ones from the woman alone came out to about one hundred, which made him give a heavy sigh. "Dammit.... Turns out she didn' even..." He ran a hand back, but shook his head. "Anyway... How do ah go 'bout gettin' this herbal remedy, anyway?" he asked the attendee, who was already partitioning out four hundred and fifty coins. Once he had them set aside, he started putting all of Jay's other coins in the bag, and placed them on the counter, before pulling out a slip. "I'll give you this paper. Then you just have to find one of the tents-- there are a few around this area, one by the food station so trainers can eat while they wait for their pokemon to get treated-- and give it to them. Give them the pokemon you want to get treated and they'll take it from there," he explained simply. Jay nodded a bit, then turned towards Sebastian. "Perty sure ah hear Zoey comin'. Yew wanna see if yew can follow her 'n find thuh pok'mon while ah go lookin' fer this tent 'n see if ah can get Koda started on his treatment?" he asked.
Meanwhile, Tria gave a little, reassuring nicker to Rummy when he seemed to get worried about her. She was fine, just... figured they would be there for a bit, given the Leafeons enthusiasm. After the appearance of Zoey, however, and Deuce's hunger, that didn't seem likely to be the case. She stood up, and gave another little whinny to the grass pokemon, nudging him to make sure he was okay holding the bucket of tokens. She really didn't want him dropping it.... Once she was sure it was secure, she turned, flames billowing as she started leading the way back in the general direction they had come from.

"Well, maybe not everyone. You could probably trust the dealer." Maybe. "But it really is. You should give it ago; hell I’d help you out if you wanted." He grinned a bit. "I’m kind of pretty good at it apparently."
Sebastian waited patiently, watching as the psychic pokemon sorted and counted out the tokens in Jay’s possession. It seemed even more were still streaming in from his pokemon, which was humorous to see. Eventually the tally was done and Jay apparently had enough. The attendant counted out the right amount for the cure as well as directions on what to do. Sebastian was a little curious how this all worked –he still needed to find out what to do with his own tokens at some point- glancing over in the direction of the tents. He glanced back at Jay as he mentioned hearing Zoey, blinking and considering a moment.
"Sure, I can do that. I’ll take a look at the food stalls too… see what’s available." Sebastian took a step back, glancing around to spot where the Zubat was coming in from. "I’ll catch up with you in a minute or so then? Then we can grab some food." Everyone was seeming hungry at about this point, it’d be good to take a rest. Once the situation was confirmed, Sebastian nodded and started off in the direction that the Zubat had come from in search of his eeveelutions.
Rummy wiggled and gave a muffled chirp of acknowledgement to Tria as she checked to see if he’d be alright carrying the bucket. Of course, it didn’t take more than two steps for him to nearly trip but eventually he found his balance and follow after the Rapidash, Deuce tailing close behind trying to keep his stomach from making any further noises. It wasn’t long before he was wiggling and hopping excitedly, spotting Sebastian in the crowd heading in their direction. He chirped and hoped into action towards the man, nearly tripping over himself and smacking his face into the ground in the process. Sebastian caught sight and flinched, quickly walking over and pulling the bucket out of the Leafeon’s mouth.
"Hey Rummy." Sebastian smiled, petting the creature on the head. He gave Deuce a leery look before shifting his attention to Tria and offering her a smile of greeting as well. "Everything go alright, Tria? Did they give you any trouble?" He inquired, picking up the bucket and giving it a look. There were quite a few tokens in there; Rummy had been busy. ✿ ❀Isis nodded when Leon explained that Inari was now both fairy and dark type. She was no pokemon expert but it was pretty easy to guess that the little fox was now affiliated with dark type if she could manipulate shadows like that. After dealing with Leon's aggressive eevee, or now whatever it had turned into, Leon was bleeding and hadn't seemed to notice, turning Isis into her usual raging mother swanna mode. Honestly, what was with her and boys that refused to take care of themselves? Isis was so angry that she'd just started dragging Leon away in the first direction she faced, completely unaware that she was storming off in the opposite direction of her intended location. When she realized that she didn't know where she was going though, she corrected her mistake, turning around towards the center of the fair as per Leon's directions while he explained more about the meleeon his eevee had evolved into. Apparently it was some kind of ground fighting type, which was interesting. Isis had never really heard of it either, but now wasn't the time to look into it.
Isis wasn't really able to think clearly, so focused on the problem that she hadn't seen the best solution. Thankfully Zero pointed out that they didn't have to go all the way to the kitchen to get Leon's arm healed, since Nova could patch him up. "Oh.... Yeah, that's true..." Isis slowed her pace, allowing Nova to step in and patch up Leon's arm, though she pouted somewhat when the gardevoir suggested that she would get mad regardless of who brushed off their injuries. "Well of course I would!" Isis suggested matter of factly. It was stupid that these two didn't seem to care what harm came to them. Whether it was Zero with his weak heart or Leon getting cut up and thrashed by pokemon, Isis was quite upset that they would try to pretend like nothing was wrong. Leon case and point laughed things off and thanked Nova for her assistance before offering Isis his arm again. She was still quite upset, giving Leon the evil eye for a moment with her arms folded across her chest in discontent, but eventually she sighed and accepted his arm. "Just promise to try and take better care of yourself." She insisted as they finally reached the kitchen area.
The fair was quite lively here, with some music to accompany the feast. Some areas were sectioned of for people who wanted to dance, whereas the rest of the area was walkways, tables, and tents. The sun was beating down quite hard though, so Isis brought the group towards one of the tents so they could sit and enjoy their meal in some shade. While they waited for someone to come wait their table, Isis glanced to Leon. "Hey, so... What was it you were trying to show me before that meleeon craziness happened?" Isis asked with a bit of a laugh. ✿ ❀

As they made their way in the right direction, Zero took the opportunity to chime in once they'd all calmed down. He pointed out Nova's healing abilities, almost immediately after which the Gardevoir moved in and took a gentle hold of Leon's arm. Within seconds the wounds closed and faded as if they never existed, though the blood that had run down his arm still remained. "And that's a good thing, Isis," She giggled lightly, her arms returning to her sides. "I can heal quite a bit, the Distortion World proved that well enough, but I'd be lying if I said I'm any substitute for simply avoiding danger." She rubbed one of her arms sheeplessly, laughing quietly as if to mask her comment as a joke, before she moved out from between the couple and returned to following closely behind Zero.
"You'll probably still want to find something to wash off all the blood, Leon," Zero noted, as they came closer to the kitchen area and Isis took the lead towards their table. Their table was relatively spacious, but was clearly only meant for four people. Zero sat down across from Isis, with Nova coming in beside him as they waited for someone to bring them some menus. That didn't take too long, of course, given how many pokemon they had out around them. A young woman eventually came by with a handful of laminated plastic in her arms, setting one down for each of the trainers and then one for the Gardevoir.
Nova happily and almost excitedly picked up her menu and scanned through its contents, eager to try more food that the humans made. Zero on the other hand simply rested the plastic sheets on the table, lazily flipping through them with one hand while the other arm was propped up so he could rest his head on a lightly balled fist. Simply another mannerism adopted for this particular outfit. He wasn't trying to make the persona anything special, but he was running with it none the less.

Jay gave a slight scoffing laugh at Sebastian's first rule of 'advice'. "Oh yeah? 'N just what's solitary? Game've bein' alone?" he asked with a bit of amusement. Yep... yep, totally unaware of card games. Poor Jay. "Hm.... Well, ah'd hope yew could trust the dealer," he remarked. At least he knew who the dealer was. "Oh yeah?" He quirked a smile at the offer. "Well ain't that nice've yew. Tell ya what, if'n we can find cards that'd work, ah'll happily take ya up on that. Ahm honestly rather curious 'bout all this, after hearin' ya talk 'bout it so much," he admitted.
Jay leaned against the counter as his slip was filled out. "Alright, sounds good," he agreed, "I'll have Zoey go with yew so she can help ya find me 'r somethin'." He pushed off the counter as he was handed the slip, holding a hand out so the paper could be placed in his hand, while Sebastian headed off. Zoey remained in the air to try and help him out, while, meanwhile, Tria walked with Rummy and Deuce. She lifted her head as she spotted Sebastian, but straightened more when she noticed Jay wasn't with him. She took a few trotting steps, giving a low nicker as she looked around, pacing from side to side, clearly trying to find him. She turned back to Sebastian, nickering again, shaking her head to his question and then giving a whinny, looking around, and then quickly stepping around behind Sebastian. She promptly nudged his shoulder to try and turn him, then prodded him to walk, evidently, very eager for him to lead her right back to Jay.

Sebastian grinned widely as Jay took him up on his offer. Great! He was looking forward to it! In fact, he’d have to keep an eye out for those special kind of cards just so he could get the cowboy into the whole card playing ways. "Awesome! I think you’ll like it." He remarked, his tone of voice rather jubilant over the fact. "Very western too. You’ll be dealing with the best of them in no time."
Blinking, Sebastian watched Tria curiously as she reacted as she did. Was something wrong? He couldn’t entirely tell, though when she went behind him nudging him along like she did he was caught off guard. "Woah there girl." He remarked gently. He wasn’t sure if it was safe to touch her or anything, he’d heard it took a lot of trust before a Rapidash’s flame didn’t burn a person and didn’t want that. "Okay, okay, don’t worry. Jay’s close by." He chuckled, starting to walk along so she didn’t have to prod him too. It was sweet to see her eager to get back to the man. Eyeing them all a moment he headed back towards where the attendant had directed Jay in concerns of getting the treatment done, also taking in the food options and stuff. There appeared to be a food court area with tents pitched and everything; a nice chance to get out of the sun while they ate.
Soon he spotted Jay sitting outside one of said tents, stepping aside and pointing him out to Tria with a smile. "See? All good. " He remarked. Jay would wish Sebastian luck finding the cards -- honestly he was pretty sure they had to be special ordered or something -- but, really, the guy sounded happy. Very happy. He didn't want to seem like a pessimist, and hell, if they could find the cards, he really did look forward to getting to learn. It would probably be a bit... testing at times, especially when he was learning, but if he could actually get it... It would give him something to do. He'd heard about some of the games and though he wasn't very familiar with most of them, he knew it was a good way to pass the time, by yourself... or with friends.
While Sebastian was basically getting herded by Tria, Jay found a tent with (mostly Gail's) help, and explain the situation to them. He gave them the slip, and requested a chair, taking a seat a little bit outside the tent. He wanted to wait until Koda was done, to see if it worked. Even if there was food around and he was hungry, and even if that was so trainers could eat while they waited, he would rather stay right by the tent. Besides, it felt pretty rude to eat without Sebastian, too, and he would rather wait for his companion to join him so they could sit down and settle in.
He was still sitting there when Sebastian and the pokemon approached, and Tria let out a nicker as she quickly passed by the man to go over to her trainer, slowing from the long-legged pace to come around behind him, not getting to close, but giving a low little sound to let him know she was there. Jay turned his head a bit. "Hey Tria," he greeted. He was about to ask about Sebastian, but... he soon heard his voice, and calling a familiar tone. Smiling, Jay turned to listen in that direction. "Ah take it ya found 'em, Sebs," he remarked rhetorically. He nodded a bit, reaching back to grab the back of the chair, and pushing himself up to stand. "Mhm, he--" He stopped as there was a sound of surprise from the tent. He furrowed his brow, and though he, obviously, couldn't see it, there seemed to be some odd light coming from inside. Seconds later, there was a rumbling, almost playful growling sound, and something large and white came bounding out.
Another yowling growl, and a large snow leopard pushed itself against a surprised Jay's legs. The cowboy stumbled, and Tria quickly moved her hindquarters around to help catch him, while Jay reached a hand out. What was now clearly Koda pushed his head up against his trainer's outstretched hand, purring loudly. Without Mimey or Ralward around to translate, he couldn't be understood, but there was something that was very, very apparent, even to Jay-- Koda had finally evolved.
Luckily, Ralts seemed to have a knack for knowing when to show up (perhaps it was the telepathic thing), and shuffled into view. "Koda... that yew?" Jay stuttered after a moment. Koda's growl soon translated into a voice, for both Jay and Sebastian to hear. "I did! And I feel GREAT! Like I could take on a thousand ghosts!" he replied, tail wriggling excitedly. Jay smiled a bit. "Well ahm... glad ta hear it. Ah take it the treatment worked?" he asked, uncertain whether it was that, or just good timing. It seemed unlikely it was the latter, though. "Yeah... Thanks for buying it for me, Jay," he replied, nuzzling Jay's side again. Jay smirked. "No problem," he replied. Koda finally turned to look at Sebastian, eyes bright with a whole new energy-- almost a glowing bright. And flames-- flames Jay was obviously unaware of-- could be seen showing up and disappearing here and there around him. "Hi Sebastian!" the newly evolved Wispard greeted.

Sebastian watched and smiled a little as Tria quickly made her way over to Jay’s side, head tilting a bit as he watched the interaction. It was a bit surprising in a way but he kept his mouth shut about it, instead watching and waiting for Jay to answer his question.
