Living in one of the underwater cities that the nixie live in, Coralie hasn't gotten to know the outside world that well. When the nixie finally allowed for their race to leave their home Colonies and go to the academy, Coralie begged her family to let her go. It took a while, but she finally did manage to get them to agree. However, it was only once she agreed to come back home after graduating from the academy did her family agree to let her go. They fear the outside world will take their child away, but Coralie was lost to it long before she ever even had the chance to go out into it.
After a few experiences such as the Naked and Afraid opportunity and going to the Lost Forest, it has become clear to her that she cannot go back home. Her heart longed for adventure outside of her Nixie home, and wished to explore very part this world had hidden away. Once graduating she hopes to go back home to tell her family how she feels before making her way to a university to study and then explore the world!
Her best friend is Awanata, a goblin who just like her has an adventurer's spirit, except her friend wishes to explore the depths of the waters she once called home. She has no quarrel about this, and even helps her friend out from time to time when it comes to studying life under the water./align]
