'Draco,

There isn't one exact story for Draco, but instead three.

One is that Draco was a dragon that fought Minerva during the wars between giants and gods. Minerva threw Draco into the heavens before he could untwist himself.

Another is that Draco represents the dragon who guarded the golden apples in the garden called Hesperides. Hercules attempted to steal the apples, eventually murdering Draco. The dragon was put into the heavens for their loyal services.

The last is that Cadmus killed Draco. Cadmus was told to find his sister Europa. When he couldn't he went to make a city. After his companions didn't return while on a trip to find water, Cadmus went to find what took them, discovering Draco and murdering him.'

Libra,

Of course I'd pick the name I was named after, obviously.

Libra is one of the oldest constellations. It's now linked to Virgo, who is a goddess of justice. Her symbol are scales. Not Naga scales. Like.... the scales you use to weigh things. Before it was linked to Virgo, Libra was connected to the fall equinox. On the fall equinox the day and nights are of equal length.

Libra is beside Virgo.'

'Taurus

Taurus is a constellation that represents when Jupiter became a bull. Jupiter had become enamored with a princess named Europa, and in hopes to win her love he became a beautiful bull. Europa, impressed by the bull, enjoyed a brief moment playing with Jupiter, eventually climbing onto his shoulders. Jupiter took her to the ocean, bringing her to Crete, where he revealed his true form. The constellation shows a raging bull, which is odd considering Jupiter is portrayed as calm and gentle within the story between him and Europa.'

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. Kindle swallowed nervously as the assignment was given, hands tightening together. A planet. She wasn't creative. She couldn't do this.... but she had to.

This.... this wasn't going to go well.

'The planet is named Aramoa. Aramoa is a small planet with two moons, named Era and Abyss. Era is fairly close to the planet, and Abyss looks like a tiny dot from Aramoa. The temperature, typically, is a gentle chill, not enough to kill life but enough to persuade any living animal to have a heavy fur coat. The planet lacks anything of much interest. It's 50% water, 50% rocky terrain. There isn't a living form on the planet smart enough to make cities or houses.

The animal life there vary. Some are tiny, fitting in your palm, others are bigger then stadiums. Just like our world, there's hundreds of life forms on this planet, but the one difference is they either are furry, or completely sleek. Those that live above water can be found everywhere you look, while the ones underwater seem to enjoy hiding from sight.

The water, however, piques interest, as it's a bright acidic purple. It doesn't seem poisonous despite its appearance.'

That... that was okay, right? It wasn't the best... but Kindle... Kindle wasn't a writer!!!

'Galaxixt is a small planet found in a corner of space where very few stars can be found. As it is far from the sun, it lacks enough heat to sustain Nightmares or Daydreams. However, that doesn't mean it lacks life. Galaxixt is cold, plant life non-existent. It's an icicle waste land, yet beautiful. If one were to visit Galaxixt, they'd find it almost impossible to find animal life. This is due to the fact the animals that do live there camouflage perfectly. Their surface is hard and clear, like ice, and they are not bigger then the palm of your hand. They eat ice, which means the planet is perfect to sustain the race.

They do not really have seasons on this planet. It doesn't seem to bother the animals much, though. They don't mind the lack of weather change.

Galaxixt has one moon that is fairly far from the planet, named Airuoa.'

User Image The solar system was so interesting! vast and mysterious so many knowns and unknowns... It was simply amazing! When the teacher said that the assignment was to create her own planet, Margret was ready to get to work. She was so excited write something cool into existence and her pencil began to scribble furiously.

This planet it similar to our own, though the oceans are less and the land expands more. All continents are connected and there are few island scattered in the sea. The atmosphere is poisonous, a thick gas covers the planet and it keeps it really warm, which is why the oceans aren't that vast.

The ocean on this planet would be dangerous if we were to drink from it, not from salt like in ours, but other compounds. There are organisms that can live off of this though. There aren't any large creatures in these seas. They're all microscopic! And on land there are plants and insects who thrive off of this environment. They love the heat and the plants feed off the little light that does stream down there. There are dense jungles and some insects can get as large as us! Though those don't love too long. They feed off the plants and each other. It reminds me of a world before our own world. It's orbited by two small moons that are far enough away as to still effect tides but not too much. One of the moons is unstable with pieces of it orbiting around in space.

Margret sat back and tried to imagine a world like that. Too hot and too many bugs for her.

User ImageCreate a planet? Well, Thomas grew up in a desert, so he knew just the kind of planet he would make up. Something incredibly alien.

Monea is a planet made almost entirely of water. At it's very core is a small, dense mass of land with an acute gravitational force able to keep a nearly solid ball of water around it without losing volume to the vacuum of space. The waters themselves are close in composition to ours, though they are saltier.

The waters churn on the surface, having no true tides as we know them, though the planet does oblongate every day and a half. This strange oblongation, only seen from space, is due to the two moons that orbit the planet. Every day and a half, the moons end up on opposite sides of Monea and pull the waters towards themselves. Though the waters are choppy, there are no huge tidal waves, nor glassy, peaceful areas. The top waters remain in constant motion up above. Storms are rare, but they do happen, swirling the planet into a frenzy before dissipating. Nothing lives long on the surface.

Below there are creatures that dwell happily in the waters. The extra saltiness allows for more buoyancy of the creatures that call this planet home; from tiny, microscopic bug like creatures to massive moving fish. Some light up their dark underworld, some slide passed in the dark, barely able to see. but all are carnivorous in one way or another because no plants grow in this planet. the land mass is too small, and the pressure too great for any flora to flourish in the murky depths.

There, not so bad. He may have put a bit too much flair into it, but the planet sounded...feasible...ish.

Experiments? Nashira was in her element. She was more then happy to research and document everything as she and her partner conducted the experiments. However, she hadn't planned on being partnered with someone who was more interested in talking, gossiping, and goofing off. At least they managed to complete two experiments during class, even though Nashira had to explain it to her partner twice, and take all the notes, and do the actual experiments because her partner didn't want to touch the chemicals and maybe get hurt.

Nashira didn't really mind doing all the work, she only wished that she could stay after class to do the rest of the experiments. But that wasn't an option. Not today at least.

Lazarus wasn't sure what exactly he was supposed to be doing, looking through the assignment to see what exactly he was supposed to be mixing up. Okay, so there was a list of elements he was supposed to be mixing up at certain amounts, and have his safety gear on for all it. With that out of the way, Lazarus made sure to out on his safety gear and start the assignment with his lab partner. By the end of the class when they were supposed to clean it all up, the two had finished a total of seven chemical reactions between all the elements they had tested. Huh, it was actually kind of cool to see what everything did!

Coralie tried to do what the assignment said, but no matter what she did she couldn't get the first reaction she was supposed to get with her lab partner. They tried for all of class, finally getting it done before they were supposed to clean up. Well... that was way harder than she thought it would be.

She looked around to see how many labs the rest of the class had gotten done, seeing that apparently she and her partner were the only ones to only get one done. Now she felt bad, because honestly the two of them should of gotten more done. At least they had gotten one done, right?

User Image Corey looked at the teacher, they wanted to huff so hard, they would rather be lazy then look for stars up in the sky, Corey sighed all through the night looking up at the stares trying to find one they liked. Corey found one after a long moment of looking at the same spot, he started his research by going to the library and looking up constellations.

Cassiopeia: the queen

the myth goes that she bragged about how lovely she was, and she was more lovely then the Nereids, of even the goddess Juno, the Goddesses were insulted by this, and they went to Neptune the god of the sea and complained to him. Neptune promptly sent a sea monster to ravage the coast. this caused the queen and king to sacrifice their daughter to Appease the god, Perseus stoped this by arriving in time to kill the monster and as his rewards he wedded to the lovely Andromeda.

in some myths Cassiopeia was happy with the match, in others she objected, and perseus showed her the head of the Gorgon Medusa.

apparently Neptune may have placed her in the sky but to this day he humiliates her, by putting her upside-down.

User Image All Meena heard was constellation, and find their origin story, this excited her, because she knew which one she really wanted to do.

Cygnus: the swan

There is more than one explanations on why the swan is in the heavens, one is that it was queen Cassiopeia's pet, another one is that it is the sun of Neptune, cionus, who was wrestled to the ground and then smothered by Achilles.

Another is that the swan is Orpheus, who was murdered by the Thracian women, since he was a celebrated musician he was placed in the heaves to spend eternity by his harp, and another story is that the swan represents the form taken by jupiter when he deceived Leda and fathered Pollux.

And then the next story is the swan was once cygnus, son of Sthenele and a close friend to phaethon, Cygnus was overcome with grief that jupiter could strike down his friend, so he turned into a swan.

User Image Galathe was really unsure, on which constellation she would pick, she picked three and looked for them in the sky at night, they all looked pretty, and she really wanted to pick all three, but the one she picked was.

Taurus: The bull

According to the myth Jupiter took this form when he feel in love with Europa, the princess of Phoenicia, when Jupiter took the bull form, he was white, and he had no mean look to him. Princess Europa was impressed by the beauty and gentleness of the bull, and she would play with him, they played on the beach together. One day Europa climbed onto jupiter's back, while he was still a bull of course. Jupiter then swam out into the sea with her, and then he took her to Crete, and finally showed what he really looked like to her.

though when you look at the stars, Taurus does not look like a kind and gentle bull that was told about, he looks like he is about to plunge into orion, since he looks like a raging bull.

User ImageQuilo looked over the list of the planets they could do a project on and picked one.

Voltain, he wrote, is a planet of volcanoes and broad plains. So far as we can tell from our telescopes, Voltain's topography consists of broad mountain ranges, towering volcanoes, and sweeping plains littered with rocks and craters. Magma flows form sharp ridges throughout the mountains and down onto the plains. The shape of the mountains suggest that there are plate tectonics on Voltain, but there seems to be very little erosion that occurs there by means of ordinary weathering. The atmosphere of Voltain is very thin, and there doesn't seem to be very much in the way of weather of any sort. Craters are still crisp from the fall of meteors and volcanic material, and those ridges are still knife-sharp. Voltain has two moons, one large and spherical, and the other small and misshapen.

We don't know if there are any ecosystems or life forms on Voltain, and a lot of scientists say that it's highly unlikely. However, it's been the subject of many novels and short stories speculating on what environments
could exist on Voltain. They are often backed up by obscure papers that are not well-accepted by the scientific community and have in some cases been disproven. Most stories describe vibrant communities living in the calderas of active volcanoes, where the chemicals seeping up from planet's mantle provide them with nutrients and vital gases. Most of them also agree that these lifeforms are small and live inside the bedrock itself, perhaps living a fungaloid existence.
