The festivities seemed to be going rather well for the young Imp, who seemed to be perfectly content drowning herself in books to take home.

Alis too found themselves enjoying the night quite a bit so far. It seemed as though they had quite the knack for the various games, as before long they found themselves cradling yet another plushie--a much, much larger one the second time around.

Meanwhile, Aaminah seemed to have temporarily run out of luck in terms of winning anything extravagant. She hardly seemed to mind, however. She was far too enamored by the small pet she had gotten earlier, and how particularly sweet the creature was as it tried to bat at the little bell earrings Aami had still somehow managed to get.
Munnin was pretty sure they had heard their sibling coming towards them but they were suddenly distracted by one of the seniors coming by and dropping something in Munnin’s lap. Ah well it looked like he was going to be getting a plushie to go along with huginn.
Of course maybe it wasn’t the best thing to be grabbing free books Hades had been flipping through the book when there was a slight humming near his head. He looked up to realize that a wisp was floating around in his head as a circle. Well it was nice that it was providing extra light but why was it…? He blinked slowly as it sat down on his shoulder and any attempts to dislodge the small wisp was met with an angry hum and the wisp returning to his shoulder. Huh well it wasn’t as if hades wasn’t a limp when it came to magical energy. Guess he had a familiar now.
"well this is going to be a strange evening isnt it?"
Plushie in hand, Alto looked around to see if Cirro had possibly caught up with him before turning his attention back to another game. Of course it was then that a senior came by with a cart full of free books. Alto remembered one of the seniors mentioning some good books…well no one was around to comment if he pulled something out so he quickly maneuvered through the crowds of people to grab one of the books.
Of course reading the title he realized this probably wasn’t something he should read, however when he looked up to maybe switch the books out he realized the senior with the cart had seemingly disappeared. Ah well it would definitely be an interesting read if nothing else.
Well he hadn’t made any friends yet, but he did have a plant. He hoped he didn’t kill it as suijin had to admit he was looking forward to seeing how it developed and what it was going to turn into. He was tempted to run back to his dorm to set the plant down but was distracted by sudden cooing. He blinked at the senior and looked down at the plushie he was just handed. Of course before Suijin could say anything the senior ran away. Ack he was running out of hands, maybe he should have grabbed that stocking before he had ventured too far into the festival.
When the chimera was offered a turn at the darts, she shrugged and made an attempt. Her prize was some of the peanut brittle. But as she reached to claim it, something fluttered up and nearly bit her finger had she not pulled back swiftly.
She quirked a brow at the familiar and when it met her glare, the chimera broke into a smirk. "It's got spunk for something so small. I like that."

When the freshling didn't look none the worse for wear, the chimera gave her a wave and reached over to snag a headband. At this rate, she was going to have all the accessories she could ever want or need.

Amihan was skipping happily through the crowd, a dreamy, far-away look on her face. She'd taken a stocking and some jingling earrings at some point without realizing it, simply moving on automatic and copying what the others were doing or what looked like fun~ at the time.
She was rather pleased with the colors she got at the very least.
Malachi was glad to have Hailey step up to the plate. He was becoming more accustomed to talking to others, but the other Fallen came on a bit too strong for him to handle just yet. But the moment the thought of a date was event brought up, his cheeks pinkened up even more!
Hailey couldn't help laughing at the thought. Granted, she loved her best friend, but no way were they on a date!... right? "Nah... we're just here together to have fun~ Right, Khai?" though now she was wishing it was one. Dang it.
Even though they weren't on a date, the fact that she just squished the idea like a bug made him sad. All the same, with a slight frown on his face, he nodded in agreement. "We're.. best friends." His eyes glanced at the other, but then shot back down to the ground. "There's a stand I want to go to over there... kay?" and with that, Malachi slipped off.
Well that was confusing as anything to Hailey. He wasn't usually sad, and he definitely never went off by himself while they were being 'social'. Placing her hands on her hips, she cocked her head to the side. "Whadya suppose that was about?" she asked Charmstar.
Dodger had now just bested another throwing game, claiming an unusual prize for himself. A book. Usually he wasn't into books, but after his visit to the orphanage, he thought that maybe having books around wouldn't be such a horrible thing. And who didn't like Malice, anyways? With a grin, he made his way about, pondering some thing.
"Yeah... I'mma do it." he said as he pulled out his phone. Hitting the one and dial buttons, he waited for the ring on the other end. But then he heard a familiar sound, ears perking at it. The Grimm turned about and looked around, grinning when he saw that cute Bapho-butt in cut-offs. Closing his phone, he snuck up behind her and quickly got her sides with his claws as he made a weird sound, waiting for a scared sound or jump as he laughed. "Hey you!" he said with the biggest grin on his face. "I was just calling to see if you wanted to meet up and here you are! The fates must have had their hands in this!" he said, snickering.
Things at this festival were becoming more and more interesting as Bobbi wandered about, the ever-growing book collection coddled in xyr arms. There's was so much excitement and laughter happening all around that it had started to become contagious, causing the normally straight-face Litch to crack a small smile.
Though some games were starting to have more appeal to Bobbi, xe kept on walking, hunting for the next chance to add another new book to the collection. And wouldn't you know it! Xe stumbled upon a small game stand, offering a wide variety of prizes to all level players, books being some of them. Well that was encouragement enough! Stepping up, Bobbi gave xyr best try, but didn't fare too well. All the same, there was a book prize in the lowest part of the prize ladder, so snitch it Bobbi did! And even though xe didn't do well, there was still a feeling of achievement and pride as the new book was added to the hold.
Camrine attempted a few game, but it seemed today wasn't her lucky day. She decided she wasn't interested in a trinket today, perhaps tomorrow she would buy something new. Cam decided instead to go look for a booth that might be sell yarn or maybe a booth selling clothing. Cam smiled as she went about looking for what she wanted. Cam considered what she wanted to work on next a scarf perhaps. Humm what colors should she make it in??
Glykeria skipped along ignoring the game booths and went looking for sugary sweet things. Her familiar on her shoulder and her book in her bag. She happily hummed to herself, thinking about applying for a job at the university, or maybe finding a job at a bakery. Gly giggled at the thought, she was confident she would figure out what she wanted to do soon enough.
Aeon stepped out of the carriage, this was her first time in the nightmare's lands. She wondered how the nightmares felt about the daydreams being allowed the attend their schools live in dorms with them. After all the history that had occurred in the past. Aeon couldn't help but wonder if this good will festival would really work. She didn't have any harsh feelings about the nightmares but how would they feel about her?? Would daydreams form their own clicks?? Would nightmares exclude daydreams from joining clubs?? Anon sighed and held her violin close to her and went to explore the fair and see if any nightmares glared at her.
Coco sat down shyly watching everyone else go about their fun at the fair. She was taking a break from playing games and running around.

With food in hand, they made their way to some of the other booths to see what was there. During their search, Ziron found some cotton balls that were magically cold, finding interest in them. After receiving a bucket of them, Ziron made their way through the crowds of nightmares and daydreams, being given yet another plushie.

With food in hand for her and Phyre, Candy and Phyre made their way to a place to sit down. The wait in line had been a long while, so it was nice to just sit down with each other and eat. However, the two were constantly being handed stuff, Candy receiving a pair of earrings and a plushie.

Once sitting down with her mother, Phyre debated whether to tell Candy that she was a bit worried about being a big sister. After all, Candy was her new mother and she knew Candy would want to know of such things. However, each time Phyre tried to start the conversation the two would be gifted something. For once the plushie Phyre had received wasn't helping. She still liked it though, holding it close while nibbling on her candy canes.

Waiting in line for his turn to play a game, Lazarus found himself getting a little impatient. Why was the line taking so long to get through? Maybe he should go to a different booth? While he was debating this, Lazarus soon found someone handing out bracelets to those in line, him receiving one as well. Perhaps he could stay in this line a bit longer?

With hus new familiar by hus side, Yihad continued hus way through the crowds, not even thinking about them. For once in hus life hu wasn't concerned about if hu would mess up everything and be embarrassed. For now hu just wanted to have fun, and hu was! After a quick trivia game hu found humself being the recipient of a plushie, followed by another book from the librarian. They sure wanted everyone to read, and Yihad was sure hu would read every last book hu received.

The next game wasn't really a game, just a simple booth where one would say what they were enjoying about the event and would receive a prize. After saying one thing after another to the nightmare at the booth, Vivek was given a plant to take care of. Cool! What wasn't cool was the Salamander that had been put into a punch bowl nearby. Quick to come to the poor familiars rescue, Vivek carefully took it out ", You okay? You want to come home with me?" It didn't protest, so it seemed as if it did.

For now the hybrid was taking a break from trying to get all the plants she could, sitting with the drink she had gotten and watching everyone go by. Not one nightmare or daydream seemed to notice her, and she wanted to remain that way. That was until one nightmare came by and handed her some candy canes, telling her to have a good day and heading off to give out more. It was a good thing her wings were hidden, or else she would of felt completely horrible.

Bouncing all over the grounds, Jacintha made her way to another booth and another line. Sure she didn't like the waiting, but the gifts and prizes always made up for it. Sure enough, she was handed a hair of earrings, putting the clip ons on her ears the best she could. they felt weird but she was sure they looked great with her boa.

So this was what it was like to be outside the enclosed world the nixie called home? Coralie wasn't so sure she liked it quite yet, but maybe over time she would come to enjoy it. With news of the nixie opening to the world around them, and new opportunities arising, she had felt it best to made her way to this academy to try studying elsewhere. Maybe she could learn something new for a change?
Whatever she was to come across, Coralie knew that today she was just trying to get used to so many different races in one place. Not only were there nightmares, but daydream now as well! This was a bit much for her to take in, her being startled a bit when being handed her first gift from the festival. A bracelet? Well it was better than some trick right?

Aqua had never expected to ever leave her home, or that she would be teaching at this academy, and yet here she was! Her swimming class would soon start up and she would be getting more attuned to life here outside her world she had grown up with. For now though she was just observing everyone, trying to figure this place out before doing anything. She hoped to keep to herself, just wanting to see how the other races reacted with the others and with the nixie. While she watched, a few items had been gifted to her, candy canes and a plushie thing. Huh... interesting. Maybe her next course of action would be to try a booth or two?
Jasper was reactive enough that he was able to avoid the little flitterat teeth that was after the peppermint bark. It was a cute little thing for sure, but he had to agree with Nihls. It was a bit rude of it to just try and take some of their delicious treat. Though, who could blame him? Peppermint bark was only made in abundance around this time of year!
"I've heard you can actually train those little guys. I bet they'll make an excellent little pet with some work." He broke of a much smaller piece and reached up to hand it to the little familiar that Nihls was holding. "You didn't mean to startle us, you were just looking for a little yummy snack to share, weren't you?" Once the treat was taken from his hand he took a little bite for him.Oh my was it delicious! There was just no competition for this little treat that came around just once a year. Maybe he should learn to make it? Then he could have it whenever he wanted!
Honestly, Foras was surprise Chries had agreed to quickly, but he wasn't about to be disappointed with the results. He got to hang out with Alioth, while at the same time getting a chance to be a little bit of a bother for Ganymede. Yes, that's all he wanted. To be a bother to Gany and that Chries guy. He'd show them just how excellent of a boyfriend he was! He certainly didn't miss the look Ganymede sent his way, as a reply he simply winked.
"Awesome! This is gonna be tons of fun!" He had stopped earlier to get some treats from a booth. He pulled out the little bundle of green candy canes and handed them each one. "Just a little present from me to you all this season! And now, let's be off!" As he said that though Chries had already wandered off somewhere, and returned with an adorable vespercat kitten, but that face sort of looked angry. He hid a little laugh when Chries said it reminded him of Gany. Why yes, that was the sort of expression often seen on Gany's face.
"Well, now we can be off!" Foras kept her arm around Alioth, keeping him nice and secure to his side as they made their way around the festival. He had to stop though when he saw his opportunity to win an adorable large kidden plushie for Alioth.
"Just you watch Starshine, I'll be right back." He passed the adorable fallen his fennekit plushie and made his way over to the 'Test your Strength' game. He knew most of these things were rigged. It was more about placing the hammer in the right spot then actually hitting it as hard as you could. He made a display of showing off his, arguably not that amazing, muscles and then swung the hammer down. It was close, but that bell did ring. Even if a bit softly. He picked out the light blue kidden plushie.
"Doesn't it have the cutest face! Here, just for you!" He exchanged plushies with Alioth and then gave him a little kiss on his forehead. Small displays of affection should be just fine, though he didn't want to push Chries into kissing Ganymede. Or maybe he did? He hid a little smirk.

The Giest frowned a little, chewing on the end of his thumb. Silas still seemed really scared. Or, could they just not talk? The violet-eyed Freshling was not sure, and forgetting his bird briefly, he crouched down before the blond. There was still an arm's length between them and he clutched his flower for Evan closer. "My name is Caper," he offered friendly, putting on a soft smile. "And - and I like your plushie." He nodded his head a little. He wished he had his bear with him, their toys would have made great friends!
He looked over his shoulder now, frowning at the sea of taller students. "And I lost my bird," Caper exhaled, seeming troubled.
"I-I'm not sure...but it can't be eating my plant. Want to gram some peppermint bark somewhere?" Eilwen put on a little smile, it would be fun to wander around the festival with someone. If she ended up wandering around alone, she probably wouldn't end up staying for very long. Gaius would be some good company though, of course she also had her little flitterat at as well.
She moved away form the booth then, since she did already have a little plant all her own and she was sure some other people would like one. She wondered what it might grow up to be, surely only time would tell. Or, she could ask Mr. Corban. He was the teacher that knew all the plant stuff after all.

A bit hesitantly she tossed her darts, the first two missed completely, but the third one hit home and she was given a rather large fennekit plushie.
"It's so biiiig...." Her hands were already starting to get quite full, oh my.
Her fennekit? Piper blinked she wasn't aware that she had a fennekit. But when she looked down there was indeed a little red fennekit following her, hopping up and trying to get at her boa. "Oh. Um, no! I haven't named them yet. Would you like to help me?" Her tail wagged behind her and suddenly the fennekit found something new to chase, something lower to the ground and easier to n** at!
"Ow! Hey..." Her Mom stepped in to scoop up the little fennekit and said she'd keep an eye on them while Piper enjoyed the festival with her new friend. "Thanks Mom!" Piper smiled and then took the little Chimera's hand, she wasn't the least bit shy at all and dragged him off to play some games. A game in which she scored herself a rather large plushie. It reminded her of her Imp family, because of the horns and brown spots! Best. Plushie. Ever.
Ack! Someone just had to share those enchanted cotton ball with Nott, didn't they? It was even more terrifying that she was sharing them with Cammy! No, why would you do that? She wouldn't just throw them at him, she'd pelt him with them! The cottonball literally hit him in the face, and oh my Nine, it was just as cold as the first one he'd been pelted with.
When Nott won herself a rather large plushie form the dart game, Conan couldn't help but give it a try himself. He hit his mark on the first try, and picked the purple vespercat plushie.
"Oh my! It looks just like Lil'Nott!" Lil'Nott was the name of the vespercat that Nott had given him way back when they had first met. Cottonballs forgotten, he snuggled the big plushie instead. He really needed to find Cherubi. He had one too many giant plushie vespercats now...
Ustule examined Perigor's sweater. There were indeed holes in it. Thankfully, his sweater was made of knitted fabric instead of knitted yarn. "If you need a petch, Perigor, I could do eet. I heve certain skills with the needle." She held out the hem of her skirt to show off the embroideries on it. Someone handed her yet another bundle of candycanes. Pink this time. Very considerate of them to give her a good color.
But Prometheus had made a difficult suggestion. She looked around the room. Obstacle courses. Throws and tosses. Guessing games. Were there any games a blind child could play...? She looked back over at Prometheus and made a face. Everyone was getting those stupid antler headbands. She hated them!
Okay, so, Ustule, officially not a bad sort. She'd given him a pet, after all! True, he had six back in the dorm, but Pumpkas were technically plants. This thing was, um...whatever this thing was. A chicken? A dinosaur? Whatever. He petted it on the head as it was distracted by the candy cane, then glanced at his shirt. It did have a few small holes in it. Okay, so he'd...have to get chew toys for this little critter? Something like that? "Yeah, I guess I do, Prometheus. I might take you up on that later, Ustule, but maybe not right now. He and joined the looking around. "I dunno what fits that description, Prometheus. Most games aren't really set up for blind kids to play at." Someone passing nearby handed Perigor a pot with a plant in it. He blinked. Plants and animals, plants and animals... The bird reached out to n** the plant. "No!" Perigor said firmly. The bird blinked and looked up at him. "You can't eat my plant, Terror."
Histeol sighed. For once, he'd like people to stop treating his disability as the end of the world. Sure, it closed a lot of avenues for him, but it didn't make it impossible for him to do anything--including enjoying the day with his friends. He'd also appreciate it if random passing adults didn't overhear his conversation and hand him stuffed animals. Well, he loved stuffed animals, don't get him wrong, but was it too much to ask that they didn't give it to him out of pity? He didn't like being pitied. "Well, there's matching games we could play, like the duck race and the matching cards. Last time I went to a festival, there was an adult who had a set of boxes--people put their hands in the boxes and tried to guess the object inside. My sister and Eidil tried to convince her to come again this time--maybe she did? It's worth a try, anyway."

"I think they thought they were being festive by throwing candy at your face." Chries gently took Gany's face in his and turned it back and forth examining it. "No cuts. Good. I won't have to deal with them." Anchriesel had noticed the look of disgust on Ganymede's face at the plushie. The question was...how to deal with it? Should he continue bothering Ganymede with plushies he obviously hated? Or should he take notice of the dislike, as a good boyfriend should? He had a role to play here, after all. He didn't want to tip his hand, or, Nine forbid, push Gany away from him. He wanted to draw him in, pull him in closer... Well, the solution was simple, then--ask him what he wanted next time, help him out in any way. That was the way to do it.
Chries accepted the green candy cane, tucking it into his pocket with a smile. "Thank you, Foras. That was very sweet of you." He shot Alioth a smile and a nod as well. "I'm enjoying the party pretty well. I did only just get here, but hey, I think this will be a good day." He looked over at Ganymede. How intimate did he dare to be? Well, at least a little intimate. He looped his arm through Gany's and walked him over to the test-of-strength game. Well...everyone else had had a go...he might as well. He picked up the hammer, lifted it up, hesitated, then brought it down. There was only a dismal ding. He shrugged and picked up a bundle of purple candy canes. "Would you like one, dearest one?" he asked Ganymede. If Foras and Alioth were going to be sickeningly sweet, then he was going to be romantically dignified. It suited Ganymede better, anyway, he thought.

"Yeah, that's what I thought it was. But the cover says differently. Unless it starts as a thriller then becomes a romance. Or the other way around." Bath shrugged. "I'll have to take your word for it. I don't read romances much. I figure they're all the same, and anyway, romances aren't really...me. I'm not the romantic sort."
Bath looked at the candy canes and nodded. "Sure!" he said. "But I might have to offer you something in return, fair warning." He took one of the candy canes, unwrapped it part of the way, and started sucking on it. When Mytrax popped the balloon, he applauded. "Very nice! Even the psycho chicken thing is impressed." He peered more closely at it. "Very feisty indeed." He accepted another dart and threw it. The result was a "choose your own." Bath looked over the prizes and hesitated. Did he get candy canes to pay back the Chimera? Or did he get another book? The books won out. He'd spent too much of his life without enough.

The next booth was a guessing game. A clear jar full of candies of all shapes and sizes sat in the middle. A sign next to it said "Guess the number of candies; Everyone's a winner! Get within 25 over or under, win a special prize! Guess the number within 10 over or under, win a super special prize! One try per person." Well that seemed promising. The Geist behind the counter was waving them over.
"Write your guess on the card," they said, pointing to the cards and pencil stubs that littered the rest of the table. Xeno nodded and squinted at the jar. He hurriedly scribbled his response and shoved the card over to the vendor.
Jurvik squinted as well--though at the vendor, not at the jar. He knew Geists. He was a Geist, one who fully embraced his heritage. He knew how Geists worked. He knew that they could be awfully tricky sometimes. "Okay, fair enough," he said. "I'll take a go." There was probably a trick to this somehow...
He and Xeno handed their cards over to the vendor, who looked them over. The other Geist nodded approvingly and looked at Xeno. "You got within 25! You can pick a plushie."
Xen grinned and grabbed a blue Kidden plushie. "Thank you!!" he gushed. "Happy Winter Solstice!!"
Jurvik smiled ruefully. "I didn't get close, did I."
"Sadly, no. You still get to pick something, though--book, jewelry, whatever. And both of you? Enjoy yourselves today. Happy solstice!"
"Happy solstice to you, too!" Jurvik said. He picked up a book, smiled at the other Geist, and walked away with his son.

Zalir still had two more horseshoes to throw before zey were all out, and after that, well...another attempt would still be allowed, but zey would rather check out some of the other activities. Would daydreams form their own clicks?? Would nightmares exclude daydreams from joining clubs?? Anon sighed and held her violin close to her and went to explore the fair and see if any nightmares glared at her. 
Coco sat down shyly watching everyone else go about their fun at the fair. She was taking a break from playing games and running around. 
With food in hand, they made their way to some of the other booths to see what was there. During their search, Ziron found some cotton balls that were magically cold, finding interest in them. After receiving a bucket of them, Ziron made their way through the crowds of nightmares and daydreams, being given yet another plushie.
With food in hand for her and Phyre, Candy and Phyre made their way to a place to sit down. The wait in line had been a long while, so it was nice to just sit down with each other and eat. However, the two were constantly being handed stuff, Candy receiving a pair of earrings and a plushie. 
Once sitting down with her mother, Phyre debated whether to tell Candy that she was a bit worried about being a big sister. After all, Candy was her new mother and she knew Candy would want to know of such things. However, each time Phyre tried to start the conversation the two would be gifted something. For once the plushie Phyre had received wasn't helping. She still liked it though, holding it close while nibbling on her candy canes.
Waiting in line for his turn to play a game, Lazarus found himself getting a little impatient. Why was the line taking so long to get through? Maybe he should go to a different booth? While he was debating this, Lazarus soon found someone handing out bracelets to those in line, him receiving one as well. Perhaps he could stay in this line a bit longer?
With hus new familiar by hus side, Yihad continued hus way through the crowds, not even thinking about them. For once in hus life hu wasn't concerned about if hu would mess up everything and be embarrassed. For now hu just wanted to have fun, and hu was! After a quick trivia game hu found humself being the recipient of a plushie, followed by another book from the librarian. They sure wanted everyone to read, and Yihad was sure hu would read every last book hu received.
The next game wasn't really a game, just a simple booth where one would say what they were enjoying about the event and would receive a prize. After saying one thing after another to the nightmare at the booth, Vivek was given a plant to take care of. Cool! What wasn't cool was the Salamander that had been put into a punch bowl nearby. Quick to come to the poor familiars rescue, Vivek carefully took it out 
For now the hybrid was taking a break from trying to get all the plants she could, sitting with the drink she had gotten and watching everyone go by. Not one nightmare or daydream seemed to notice her, and she wanted to remain that way. That was until one nightmare came by and handed her some candy canes, telling her to have a good day and heading off to give out more. It was a good thing her wings were hidden, or else she would of felt completely horrible.
Bouncing all over the grounds, Jacintha made her way to another booth and another line. Sure she didn't like the waiting, but the gifts and prizes always made up for it. Sure enough, she was handed a hair of earrings, putting the clip ons on her ears the best she could. they felt weird but she was sure they looked great with her boa.
So this was what it was like to be outside the enclosed world the nixie called home? Coralie wasn't so sure she liked it quite yet, but maybe over time she would come to enjoy it. With news of the nixie opening to the world around them, and new opportunities arising, she had felt it best to made her way to this academy to try studying elsewhere. Maybe she could learn something new for a change?
Aqua had never expected to ever leave her home, or that she would be teaching at this academy, and yet here she was! Her swimming class would soon start up and she would be getting more attuned to life here outside her world she had grown up with. For now though she was just observing everyone, trying to figure this place out before doing anything. She hoped to keep to herself, just wanting to see how the other races reacted with the others and with the nixie. While she watched, a few items had been gifted to her, candy canes and a plushie thing. Huh... interesting. Maybe her next course of action would be to try a booth or two?
