Character description: Lennard is a quiet and rather serious young man. He doesn't take kindly to bullshit and doesn't mind getting aggressive in the face of adversity. In truth, he's usually a pretty genuine and laid back guy, but he isn't above being intimidating and using his physical presence to handle a situation. He's a man of a few words, and prefers to get to the point rather than beat around the bushes. Yet he knows when he's in over his head.
He is extremely self-critical and is his own worse enemy. Lenny is a gamer at heart, and enjoys escaping reality from time to time. In addition he is rather meticulous, and thorough about what he applies himself too. This tendency borderlines on obsessive as he likes to completely and fully immerse himself, and it is all consuming. He likes things 100% completed before moving onto the next task. He prefers the relaxation of getting lost in a good tabletop games or video games of any kind really, and happens to be an avid collector. He owns a large variety of systems, games and controllers all stored in his apartment.
Working security while not his original idea of a career goal has helped shape him up into a confident adult. Something he had lacked growing up and all through-out his high-school career. He's hoping to attend college for programming some day in the future, but had been working to support himself. Rent is split between himself and his roommate respectively.

Physical: Lennard has thick, bright reddish auburn hair that is a rather on the fluffy, if not down shaggy medium length. His eyes are a blue-green mixture. He stands roughly at 5'9", he is relatively fit and has developed shoulder muscles and a fairly athletic build. When not in slacks and work uniform he loves nothing more than a casual comfy outfit to hang out and chill in front of a video game in. He owns a few pair of running shoes as he was regular avid jogger, before the events of late anyway.
DAY ZERO ENTRY PROMPT:Lenny was supposed to go into work tonight, but with all the panic about the virus going around even the airport didn't need him tonight which he thought was odd. They said the shift was covered, and to come back tomorrow night. Having been more than ready to start his shift he sighed. He'd even left a bit early to grab some dinner, and now found himself homeward bound. What was even the big deal with this outbreak nonsense? No one he knew had gotten sick; it all seemed like a bunch of bullshit really. Maybe it was some kind of lame human rabies or something. Whatever the case was, he'd just go play some video games at home. As he hopped off the bus, he stretched tiredly.
As he started to cross the street, he slipped his cell out to check the time. The clock read 9:59PM. He would never forget those exact seconds as the clock rolled over to 10. Eerily, all the lights in the neighborhood mysteriously powered off. It was pitch black outside, and a cool breeze rustled his hair. "The hell...?" He muttered under his breath.
It was like a switch had been thrown. There were still people outside, but some of them he noticed were walking strangely. They were erratic movements, like they were stumbling. A bunch of drunk kids maybe? Feeling the hairs on the back of his neck raise he frowned as he opened his phone, looking for the flashlight button. Clicking it on, he illuminated first the ground then raised it up to see what was around him. Instantly he wished he hadn't. A face turned to him and there was something REALLY wrong with them. Blood oozed in a foamy mess from their mouth.
The soulless void for dim eyes almost made him scream. Flashes of popular video games filled his imagination. It sent him running, seeing as a hand was outstretched towards him. This wasn't his ******** job, he wasn't sticking around! Flipping off his light he booked it. Someone was screaming, he could hear wet ripping noises as they were being assaulted by one of the drunk people. "What the <********>?! I'm out of here!" He bolted, running away as fast as he could towards his apartment complex. Flying up the stairs, he hoped to leaving behind the awful scene. He frantically dug for his keys, and darted inside, locking the door immediately.
Even his apartment was dark; the game he'd left running was powered off much to his irritation. The second he got in, he went looking for his roommate Oscar. "
Dude! There's some crazy s**t going down outside." He sat down on his buddies’ floor, staring blankly across the wall as he pulled his hood up and shivered. Whatever was going on, he made the other promise him they'd stick together. It was too dangerous, plus he didn't want to mess with one of those bloody weirdos alone!
