Welcome to Kirigakure Commons, or downtown Kiri for those of you who are unfamiliar. The streets here are lined with shops, restaurants, vendors, children, shinobi, friends, thieves, and civilians alike. Because of Kiri's mountainous land, there are sections of the streets that are suspended on bridges to a second story. This was constructed like this to avoid natural swamps, as well as rocky valleys and ponds. It isn't a rare siting to see shinobi in this area, since it's usually where they spend most of their down time. All main roads in Kirigakure bottom out into this area, although the paths aren't as easy to follow as they may be in other villages. If you want to get familiar with Kirigakure and its locals, this is definitely the place to do it.

As the trio entered the village proper with their client, Luo seemed to slink out of view. Slipping into an adjacent alley, the man scaled a nearby vending shack in order to get to the rooftops of the area, deciding to take his post from above. It was not easy for Luo to walk in the village without being stopped or even harassed by citizens. Part of him couldn't blame the majority of them, however there were a few people who seemed to take his kindness for granted at times. Refusing to allow the mission to become delayed in any fashion, he decided it best to stay out of view until they were far West enough in the village to avoid main road traffic. He couldn't help but think more and more about the attack earlier, wracking his brain again and again for the summon he saw despite knowing rather well that if he couldn't remember it, it was because it was one he did not know about.
Kirigakure's gates had been devoid of any real outsider traffic for quite some time, and the guards haven't reported any foreigners since Gauge and Zdura entered the village. He could only deduce that either a native to the land, or even the village itself, owned the contract to this summon. In earnest, he was a bit excited to have something like that occur earlier that day. He had been itching to get out of his office for something more interesting than escorting cargo from one end of the village to the other, and it seemed something interesting had found him at last. As he followed the cargo, he continued to spin a senbon in his right hand, following along easily from above as he watched Masaki and Gauge. Seeds of doubt began to sprout in his head, of whether or not the pair could handle combat efficiently, especially against someone or even multiple persons who were far above them in terms of strength. They didn't seem to take the time to think, only to react. Yes, it was good to react quickly, however Luo found that one who took action without thinking often caused more problems than they solved. Time could only tell if the two boys below him would fall into that category of shinobi.
At last after some time however, they began to exit the village proper and come around to a narrow mountain path. Masaki would recognize it instantly as the path to the bridge that connected the marketplace to the village, but Luo was unsure if Gauge had ever been this far into the village. Slipping back down onto the street as shops and buildings began to become few and far between, Luo retook his post behind the wagon. It would take twenty minutes on the path to reach the bridge, but once they did it would be the last leg of the mission. Well, hopefully the last leg.
"Lord Mizukage!"... a voice rang out from behind the group as a young man dressed in the standard robe of Kirigakure shinobi approached in a run, carrying a scroll in his right hand. Nearing the group, he would slow his pace and come to a stop near the Mizukage and bowed politely as he bent to one knee in front of his superior and leader. "Lord Mizukage, my humble apologies... I was asked to deliver this message to you at the gates, but it seems the arrival of the party came before I arrived. I tried to catch you at the beginning of the commons, but when I saw the envoy only, I figured it must be the wrong one. Luckily, as the envoy continued on, I was able to see you rejoin it before you had gone too far."
Mifune stopped for a second or two and breathed a few heavy breaths as if catching his breath from running to meet up with the envoy before they got too far. "I figured perhaps you were avoiding the crowd, so I waited until you were further away before pursuing you. I have a message for you from ANBU guards in the Marketplace. Apparently there was a situation you needed to be aware of and I was dispatched to give you the message. Obviously, there was probably a better choice as a messenger, but I was in the right place at the right time and was a convenient choice as the ANBU had preparations to make regarding the information in this scroll."
Mifune held up the scroll to the Mizukage and offered it to him. His eyes and mouth were shielded from Luo by his bowed head, but he continued to breathe heavily as he held the scroll aloft for Luo to take.

As a voice rang out behind him, Luo halted his pace and stopped as he heard his titled exclaimed. He recognized the boy's name the moment he saw his face, although admittedly Luo didn't spend much time with him. Nothing more than mission assignments and mission reports have been exchanged between the two. Luo gathered from his mission record however, the boy was as capable a chunnin as any in the village. The cart seemed to halt as well after hearing Mifune yelling for the young kage. He spoke immediately after taking a rather formal stance in front of Luo, explaining his dilemma in trying to get whatever message he had to the man standing before him. Luo gathered the story was true, as he strove for a moment to regain both his breath and composure it seemed.
He then continued, getting to the root of why he was really there and why he seemed so frantic. Luo didn't bother to remark on the ANBU's choice of messenger, simply because unless it were absolutely necessary those men and women were above delivering messages. It was rare for a Kirigakure ANBU to leave his assigned post without proper reason. Luo gathered just as the boy said, they weren't really concerned with who delivered the message so much as who was ready and capable. Mifune lucked out, and Luo couldn't really tell if he was excited or simply still frantic from trying to find their envoy. Deciding not to bother with the details of the boy's emotional state, Luo simply silently reached out for the scroll, gently plucking it from the chuunin's hands into his own left one. With his right index finger and thumb, he opened the scroll as he held it vertically in front of him, reading the message with the light from the lanterns on Mr. Hatano's wagon, curious as to what was so pertinent at this hour.
Feeling the Mizukage grasp the scroll, Mifune's lips curled into a small grin which was well hidden beneath his face. Gently, he gripped the scroll, not so much to keep it from the Mizukage as he pulled it towards him, but enough to buy him the time he needed. Hidden from the Mizukage by the angle of the scroll, a small millipede stood in wait on the underbelly of the scroll in the shaded area, practically invisible to the eye due to its diminutive size, flat body, and coloring. Feeling the vibrations of the Mizukage's hand slide over the scroll, it sped forth as were it's orders and as the Mizukage's hand gripped the scroll, it took hold of the man's index finger and bit him, injecting it's poison, which would for the time be undetectable.
At the same time, Mifune turned the scroll slightly, only enough to graze the Mizukage's palm with the edge of the scroll, giving Luo a slight paper cut. The action was slight, but the sudden slice to the Mizukage's hand would distract him from any puncture he might have felt on his finger, which would be slight in the first place, feeling like nothing more then a small bug bite. More importantly however, it gave the millipede time to return to it's master and hide itself away, crawling over Mifune's arm in the shadowed sections hidden from other eyes before it could be detected.
It would all happen in an instant, a carefully laid plan taking place in mere seconds in the exchange of a scroll, but it would be all that was needed. The paper cut would seem to be nothing more then an accident, a slight mishandling of the scroll as it was released from Mifune's hand in the transition, or even simply the Mizukage gripping it at the wrong angle. Either way, the stage was now set and Mifune had only to continue acting out his role. Releasing the document for the Mizukage to take, Mifune returned his hand to the ground in a fist and kept his head bent before the Mizukage in full submission, waiting for further orders.
Inside the scroll would be an official message from the ANBU with all the appropriate codes and qualifications to make it legitimate in the Mizukage's eyes with the following message:
"Lord Mizukage, an incident involving an unidentified man occurred where he was found secretly planting explosive tags on the bridge in what we now know to be a clearly terrorist plot against the village.
Since then, the bridge has been cleared of all tags placed and the structure reinforced from the inside using Kyouka seals. We have apprehended the man for questioning and he remains in the custody of the ANBU for the time being.
The bridge has been cleared and the marketplace swept for any other potential threats. No further threats were found, but we have increased the level of caution for the village for the time being. Please take all the proper precautions.
Mifune has been dispatched to you as an expert on sealing techniques and the disarming of explosive tags as is his specialty within the village."

Masaki didnt even notice Luo's dissapearance, for he could not see the kage for the majority of the journey to kiri. Since the original attack, the journey seemed to be moving at a good pace. At least, as good a pace as one could get when leading a weak old man and his carriage. as they approached the marketplace the only real problem was keeping the crowd far enough from the carriage to prevent sneaky sabotage. Masaki only realized Luo was gone shortly after they escaped the larger crowd and almost immediately before the man returned. When the messenger came, Masaki motioned to the old man to stop, and turned to figure out what was going on. There was some kind of urgent message, which meant trouble. Either whatever attacked them before, this "millipede" had attacked, or possibly there was some greater danger which they all had to go deal with. Masaki's loyalty was not to the old man after all, and if Luo ordered them to go elsewhere he wasnt likely to complain. As he strained to see the note, Masaki thought he saw something dark on the scroll, but passed it off as a trick of his eyes. Luo would surely notice something before Masaki did after all, that was what he did.

As Luo attempted to pull the scroll out of Mifune's hand, he noticed the slightest tinge of resistance. Without bothering to think on the reasoning for this, Luo instead increased his grip as he pulled, slightly crumpling the scroll as he pulled it towards him. As he did, he felt the slightest pinprick on his index finger, something akin to an ant bite or the sting of a mosquito. As Mifune attempted to twist the scroll however, he'd find that Luo's somewhat hardened grip on the document simply didn't allow for that action, instead the document was forced out of his grasp and into the young kage's, although a small papercut was produced. There was nothing about the situation that prompted alarm in Luo, unless you counted slight annoyance as cause for alarm. His temper had already been tested on this mission, and his patience for incompetence was wearing very very thin. Opening the scroll gently, he read the contents quickly as usual, using the extra time it normally took for others to read to go over its contents once more mentally.
Unbeknownst to those around him, the man questioned the letter's validity. His lips pursed slightly, something in his annoyed state he couldn't help. The document definitely in all technical aspects, was as legitimate as any scroll he would ever receive from the ANBU. The story itself was very plausible, after all it was on this bridge they were to encounter any real danger if any. What he didn't believe however, was that of all the shinobi in the village that were experts in the art of sealing, Mifune was truly the only one they found capable in the area to accompany Luo. The ANBU for all intents and purposes, were the personal guard of the Mizukage. He found it odd that instead of simply sending one of the members who had efficiently rid the entire bridge of potential threats, they send a boy Luo hardly knew for protection. It wasn't often if at all, that the ANBU sent someone else to do their job, a chuunin no less. Hell, Luo would take the masked visitor Zdura over Mifune for the matter that was apparently at hand. It was the only part about the letter that stuck out like a sore thumb to Luo, and he had learned in the years past to trust his instincts.
Looking down at Mifune, Luo gathered his thoughts before speaking, wrapping the scroll up before beginning. "So despite already having sealing masters on hand, the ANBU sends you with this message. I gather if you were hastily given this message and told to find me immediately, the message would have already been written and ready to deliver when you received it, being in the right place at the right time and all, correct?" The question was rhetorical, one Luo didn't bother giving him time to answer. In some occasions, Luo found that verbalizing his thoughts helped to bring forth and single out one of dozens of rampaging mental utterings that wracked his brain. When he did this, he often found it even easier to stumble upon the answer to a question he was asking to himself. Without much if any delay, the young shinobi continued. "If the situation was truly as dire as this, I doubt the ANBU would waste the time to send a message with one other than their own. I mean no offense Mifune, but any member of the ANBU would trump you as far as speed is concerned. Furthermore, it definitely wouldn't include information about you in it, there would not have been any time if you were in such a rush."
What Luo said aloud wouldn't really make sense to anyone who hadn't read the scroll, definitely part of his intention. His spoken thoughts to any who hadn't seen the scroll would seem disconnected, without a shred of sense being made from them. For someone who had seen the scroll, something Luo was quite heavily contemplating to be a fake, the statements would make perfect sense, perhaps prompting a reaction from anyone who knew its contents. In Luo's eyes there were only two answers to what was happening at the current point in time. The first, was that for some reason Mifune had lied about the promptness between arriving on the scene, receiving the scroll, and delivering it. That would mean of course, that the ANBU sat there and wrote what was inside after Mifune had appeared, and then gave him the letter. It would invalidate the time constraints the chuunin himself put on what occurred between then and now, and for Luo raised even more suspicion as to why they didn't simply dispatch one of their men to save time and just as well give Luo a more competent guard across the bridge. The second outcome for Luo, was the more obvious one. The scroll was a fake, written by either someone cooperating with Mifune, or Mifune himself.
The scroll itself would prove to be incredibly incriminating if the second answer to the current dilemma were the real one, and in fact began to solidify which of the two Luo believed. It mentioned specifically Mifune's affinity for sealing techniques, even further outlining the disarming of explosive tags as one of his specialties if not his main one. Luo didn't know a man who was capable of taking something apart without being able to put it back together, meaning Mifune of course knew how to arm explosive tags as well. And here Luo was escorting a cargo full of blank tag pages. Then there was one last piece of evidence that solidified his thoughts, prompting the man to jump back quickly fifteen feet, placing himself between Mifune and the cargo as he let all parties involved in on his last clue. "I never told anyone I was to be taking this mission, I took it on a whim. Even the guards at the gates were not informed as to why I was leaving the village with two genin. Without any official record or statement of my absence, the ANBU would be hard pressed to find me. In that instance, I doubt they'd send a chuunin to find the man they have sworn to protect with their lives. Excuse me if I find it peculiar that you of all people in this village, knew I was accompanying this cargo. The only person who would know I was with this cargo, would be whomever sent that millipede after the cargo in Kiri country as a scout. Which I'm guessing, was you."
The mission did say after all that this was the more likely area for the cargo to be attacked, and here right in front of Luo is the only other shinobi he's talked to since initially leaving. He pulled three senbon from his waist pouch, placing one between each finger and folding his left hand into a fist, the senbon protruding like artificial claws. "I was initially able to let that fact go, because the ANBU is very much capable of tracking my movements from the tower to Kiri country. However, as this clearly counterfeit document outlines, your appearance here involves the planting of explosive tags, as well as your proficiency with disarming them. I find it too convenient this entire situation revolves around explosive tags, a cargo which I'm escorting. A cargo, that no one knew I was escorting. Even if the ANBU knew where I was in Kiri country and what I was doing, they would not have told you. Mifune, what have you done?"
In all of this, Luo's calculations came quickly, as expected of an Ushio. His last statement was uttered with a tinge of both sadness and authority. To know that one of his men would be capable of betraying him in their own village, was something that truly saddened Luo. Not because he couldn't believe it to be true, but because of his love for Kirigakure and her people. To see someone betray her, was cause for sadness in Luo's eyes. The emotion didn't last long, clear annoyance running over his face as he exhaled deeply through his nostrils. Had he no patience, he would've killed Mifune right then and there without a second thought. However, Luo needed to know more about the situation at hand before deciding whether to detain him or take his life. He did know one thing however, and that was if Mifune knew that information he was more than likely the summoner of that millipede, a gift he had kept well hidden. Whatever this was about, Luo would not rest until he got to the bottom of it.

((Sorry for the wait, I've had a busy past few days.))
Mifune's sly grin changed as the Mizukage began asking him a string of rhetorical questions, not allowing for the proper time for him to explain himself. Rising to his feet, Mifune wore a look of confusing and hurt to see that his Lord did not trust him and was now standing between the cargo he was escorting and himself. Naturally, it made perfect sense and after all, he was right... but that wasn't what Mifune wanted him to know, not yet at least.
Once the Mizukage fingered the senbon, Mifune took a step back and raised his hands up, keeping them well away from each other, his palms opened wide to the Mizukage in a sign of peace. "Lord Mizukage, you misunderstand, please allow me to explain. The message was not given to me hastily as you say. This is part of my exam... surely you must have seen the paperwork that came through? I was a part of the response team which handled the situation mentioned to you in the scroll as it is my area of expertise. Once all was cleared, I was asked to deliver a message to you." Mifune knew that Luo would understand that his 'exam' would be a trial period by which he would be evaluated for inclusion into the ANBU as a demolitions expert, but was wary to mention his application to the ANBU in front of others as it could compromise the ANBU if others knew of it's membership or those who were being evaluated.
"At the time, we did not know your current whereabouts, so I was dispatched to the gates to see if the guards knew anything of your absence. Once I was there, they informed me of your arrival, so I rushed to the commons to find you and was lucky enough to catch sight of you. It is true, I am not as skilled as many of the ANBU, but as the incident was cleared and the risk mitigated, it was judged that it would be a good assignment for me to find you and deliver the message. Additionally, given my expertise, if you had any orders regarding any additional areas for screening, I would be a natural choice as I was one of the first responders to the incident and have the necessary skills to carry out any further orders."
"As for my haste, you must forgive me... I simply want to badly to serve this great village to the best of my ability. I have always worked hard to make a good impression, especially now. I was worried that I would miss you completely and would fail at my mission, so I hurried as quickly as I could to find you before you went too far through the village. Please my Lord, I intend no harm to either you or your cargo... I don't know what your cargo is... I didn't even know you were escorting cargo until the guards mentioned that you came with some... and I have heard nothing about this millipede you're referring to. I simply wish to serve my village and complete the assignment given to me."
With those words, Mifune knelt again, one knee to the ground, staring down at the earth, with one fist to the ground and the other on his knee... "Please my Lord, order me as you will." Staring down at the dirt, Mifune hoped this would be enough to convince the Mizukage. He was rather careful with his words and thought the explanation believable. He not much mentioned explicitly that he was being evaluated to the ANBU, yet knew the Mizukage would catch all the references. He could only wait and see if this would be enough to convince Luo of his innocence.

After Mifune's explanation, Luo threw the three senbon in his path, each landing perfectly aligned in a horizontal line in front of him. Even if the boy was lying, it was best to keep his enemies close rather than farther away. Soon enough, he'd get to the bottom of this whether by sheer will, or by events unfolding. Instead of poking holes, the young man played dumb, at least mildly as he muttered, "To the front of the cargo. The distance between me and the senbon, leave that between yourself and the cargo. Scout ahead for anymore traps or dangers, we'll handle this situation when time allows it."

As time progressed, the tension between the group seem to be at ease, for now anyways. Gage was actually learning something for once. Not only was he learning, but he was actually being told what wrong he had did instead of simply being rebuked for it. He was growing more now here in Kiri then he had in Old Iwa. The Mizukage was a great teacher.
Their trip soon took an unexpected turn. The group passed through what Gage thought was the whole marketplace, but apparently he was wrong. He shot a confused look towards Masaki, but the boy acted as if the area was familiar, so he assumed the market continued beyond this mountainous path.
Amazingly enough, the escort team didn't meet with any problems since the giant whatever it was. Gage had forgotten what the Mizukage had called it. However, Gage saw a shadow pass across the mountain in front of him and disappear behind him. "Someone's here..." He muttered to Masaki. The boy apparently saw or heard something as well so he stopped the procession. Almost immediately, Gage began to hear voices. The first he was unsure of, but the second was definitely the Mizukage. The two began to conversate I'm a normal manner, but the Mizukage's tone changed.
'On it..' He thought to himself as he turned to the driver. "Keep them at a halt, but give them a little slack in the reigns. Cut them loose if things get to heated..." He told the old man as he walked towards the cart. After a few steps, Gage squatted and pushed off his feet sending him well over the drivers head and landing him on his feet inside the rear of the cart, in clear view of the two men.
When he landed, he heard the Mizukage question the man a little. It would seem that Luo was weary of whatever the man had to say. Glancing in that direction, Gage got a good look at the messenger, or whatever he was. 'Never seen him before...' He thought to himself. It struck him a bit odd since he had met a good portion of the Kiri Shinobi already. There wasn't something right about this person, whoever he was. It made the hair on the back of Gage's neck stand. He was almost sure by just the Mizukage's voice that hell was about to be let loose if either Gage or Masaki made one wrong move. Gage was frozen in place. Never had he been in such a situation before.
Something shining in the moonlight caught Gage's eye. The Mizukage had pulled three giant needle-like objects and lined them within his knuckles to make a claw. On instinct, Gage grabbed for a kunai, but instead grabbed two. When his, hand came out of his pocket he simply tossed one kunai into his other hand. He tightened his grip on the kunai in his right hand and twirled the one in his left round and round, ready to attack. "Masaki..." Gage nurtured, hopefully the boy heard him, but he was unsure.
Deciding to turn his attention back to what was going on, Gage saw the man, whose name he found out to be Mifune, was surprised by Luo's accusations. The more Luo spoke the guiltier the man looked, his act was done. Mifune apparently knew that and immediately bowed the knee, showing a sort of openness that Gage would of jumped at if he hadn't remembered his lecture in orders. He hadn't received any, so he wasn't going to react unless ordered or he had to.
What was said next brought back the earlier tension. The Mizukage mentioned something about the man being a summoner; more specifically the one who summoned the giant bug thing. It took Gage everything he had not to jump at the man, but he managed. The last thing Luo said was that the man was lying. It was rather blunt, but Gage saw it coming. All he had to do was keep going at the chuunin and do his best to keep his summons at bay. If he could do that while Masakk did some sort of weird jutsu like earlier, this would be a sinch, but then an odd thought hit him. 'He might be a clone.' As the thought passed, Gage instantly doubled his mental awareness as much as he could. His eyes were scanning his perifial vision area while he tried his best to sense chakra. 'Things are about to get heated...'

((Sorry not going to match any of you in length this time around. Work has left me pretty tired. Although I must say I am clearly outmatched in RP ability anyways, since I am seldom able to post anything of that length during RP.))
Masaki watched Luo closely, though his fingers crossed when Luo drew what looked like those weird sewing needles used by old ladies. The way he held them made it clear however that they were weapons, which meant this man was on thin ice. Masaki felt his skin crawl as he tried to hold himself still, not even listening to what was actually said between the two. He wanted, no he really really needed a fight right now, especially after the snakeipede thing had fled. He did not draw his tonfa, letting them hang idly by his side while his mind began preparing handseals. He nearly shouted when the man stooped to a knee and Luo directed him to join the team, with no small measure of hostility. Glaring at the man, Masaki's hands eroded from half-formed seals to white-knuckled fists. A part of him knew that the man couldnt be blamed, if he was truly on their side, for depriving him of a proper blood-letting. However that part of him had difficulty breaching his very thick skull. Every ounce of anger Masaki had built up during the mission was now targeted at the man, and to make matters worse Luo seemed to be letting him join them? He found himself unable to move, as if the slightest twitch would set him off completely. Everything had gone so wrong. He accepted the wrong mission, he had to defend the wrong man, he had been denied his battle and the mission was nearly complete, he angered Luo the one time he managed to do something clever.
Why does it matter if you disobey Luo? Do you fear death?Masaki shook his head slowly at the thought.No.There was a reason, why he stayed loyal to the village, why he did not want to disobey Luo, and even why a small part of him wanted to defend the old man and his cargo. He struggled to find it, scrambling through the recesses of his mind, but the madness seemed to blind him. You don't know why.The voice was cruel, yet seemed to speak the truth. The ugly truth. Had he grown weak? Was he depending on the village solely for some kind of safety? His eyes drifted toward Luo, as his hands began reforming seals. What are you doing? His hand stopped and he squeezed his eyes shut, shaking hes head as if to clear the spiderwebs in his brain. Why do you follow him?I can get stronger here, much stronger than I could alone. And when that isn't enough?
He drew himself back to reality after what seemed hours, although it was only a few minutes and his body was free to move properly. His glare lightened a little, but he still watched the newcomer closely as he resumed his position and the caravan started to move again. He hoped Luo hadnt seen any of it, or didnt understand what it meant, he did after all have an untrustworthy newcomer to worry about. Could he read Masaki like he seemed to read everyone else?
((edit: Okay WTF Masaki. Where the HELL did that come from? You got broken even more than I thought. I'm not sure I'll be able to understand this character, not change him to fit his original design. Which is interesting and fun, but I wonder if he'll survive very long on his own.))
Biting his lip as his face remained looking at the ground, Mifune controlled his emotions and acted the part he was called to play for the time being. It seemed that he had not been fully effective in his mission of gaining the Mizukage's trust in the situation, but at the very least he had succeeded in poisoning him. Rising from his kneeling position, Mifune wore a serious face and nodded to the Mizukage in confirmation fo his orders and did as he was told. As he walked forward, he made note of the young students which accompanied the Mizukage on his mission, but couldn't learn much about them. It seemed that they had taken up defensive positions, showing that they did not trust him in the slightest, which he supposed wasn't all that odd considering the Mizukage's own distrust.
Not to say that their base instincts weren't correct, as in fact he was deciving them all, but still the distrustful stares of the company harmed him. Despite being taken in to the village he was always an outsider. Even after fulfilling every mission, exceeding every expectation, and serving his village with distinction... a shinobi of the Kirigakure would turn on you in a second and treat you as an outcast and a traitor given the opportunity, even if you meant the best for them. The cycle was all too clear to Mifune and it was always at the core of his hatred for the village, despite it's supposed 'charity' towards him.
He had never met these young shinobi before and they were quick to question him, with eyes of distrust piercing him as he walked past, but perhaps the Mizukage's mistrust was the worst of all to bear. He had served with distinction and had even been recommended to the ANBU, and still, his trust was lost at even the briefest glimpse of inconsistency. Naturally, it was quite astute of the man to see what he did and be suspicious... in the end, it spoke to his amazing ability to pierce such situations, but still, in Mifune's mind, as the victim in all things, it was a betrayal of the highest order yet again.
All of these thoughts lingering in his mind as he walked, he continued onward towards the bridge. Once there, he would continue the charade, but hopefully with some cunning, he might be able to lull the others into a temporary trust, which could land him in the position needed to succeed in his task and finally receive his revenge on Kirigakure, although, in part he already had.
Arriving at the destination, it didn't take long for the pink-haired girl to find where the Mizukage was. A carriage/cargo was being escorted by an older gentleman in the front with horses. There was two more individuals that were on the sides of the carriage each taking his own side. And finally, the last member who was taking the rear. Catching up to the group, she slowed to a jog and then walking pace one she managed to get to Luo's side. Before her, was the cargo housing the precious explosive papers. Something valuable to the village while equally dangerous in the wrong hands putting her on alert. "Is there a position you wish for me to take in assisting the cargo's transfer Lord Mizukage?" She asked, not knowing the man properly to address him by name muchless feel she is in a position to do such. She was very appreciative to be brought along, and she would show her thanks by assisting in it's successful delivery. Her determination rather clear, as she was far from your average, typical female as far as attitude is concerned.

As Hinoka approached the group, she wasted no time in asking which position to take. Before leaving for the mission, Luo had written instructions for Hinoka to meet them in the commons to round out the squad. He figured there was no reason not to fill out the team towards the last leg of the mission, since this was to be the most important. Without wasting time he muttered, "You can bring up the rear with me. We got word of possible tags on the bridge, so Mifune will be taking the front to check." He didn't mention anything that had happened prior, preferring to have someone in the group with a different mindset. Too often did things go unnoticed when everyone looked in the same direction so-to-speak. He wanted her to come to her own conclusions in due time, at least to gauge whether or not his own suspicions were unfounded.
"Masaki, Gauge, this is Hinoka Kamina. She will be joining us for this last leg of the mission to ensure a safe an easy delivery. As always, keep your eyes and ears peeled." With that, Mr. Hatano struck the horses as Mifune began to walk forward. It wouldn't be long now until the mission was over, at least hopefully.
Recieving orders, Hinoka silently acknowledge the two Luo spoken to with the nod of her head. Spacing at least a foot or so between herself and the Water Shadow as the proceeded towards the Marketplace Bridge. Not knowing the other two genin, she didn't feel it was necessary to begin a conversation with them, as the mission came first and more then likely they had received more experience and training then she had. But regardless she will do her best to assist in the situation and continued onward with the others. Not knowing of what events took hold previously, she was more so on edge then the others; each mission was to be taken seriously and thus she took all of them with such attitude. Her hands remained by her side, prepared to move along with the rest of her body when needed.
