Kiri Marketplace
 The Kiri marketplace unknown to most is actually a peninsula connected to Kirigakure mainland by a large 1/2 mile bridge that starts at the outskirts of Kiri Commons, and ends at the start of the marketplace. The only way to the market place is by this bridge. Any attempt at running across the water surrounding the island will almost always end in failure due to the strong currents and whirlpools that form year round.
Because the peninsula is completely surrounded by dense forest and swamp land indigenous to Kirigakure, the bridge was created to connect the main part of the village to the peninsula where the marketplace was chosen to be. It is rumored there is a way to get to the marketplace the back way, however it is said to be impossible to attempt because the supposed entrance is within the dense brush of Kiri park. There is one day guard and one night guard on the bridge, with a one hour shift change overlay. Other than that, the marketplace itself is guarded by a team of ANBU members.
There are many assorted shops for the average shinobi to choose from while in the market place, Two of the best known shops to all kiri shinobi are located here. The first being a small blacksmith and weapons shop named Weapons hidden within the mist, for their weapons to be repaired at and also a place to purchase the average shinobi gear that is lost during battle. The second is a small open food market place in the center of the island is where farmers from around the mist village and beyond come to sell their goods to the people of Kiri.
The market place is open to all those allowed within Kiri, all shinobi are asked to leave any extremely large weapons at home before they come due to the large amounts of villagers here, also the use of jutsu within this area is extremely prohibited unless given express permission by the Mizukage. Small weapons such as kunai are allowed, also any Anbu members are unrestricted with all jutsu and weapon restrictions that would effect any standard shinobi.

Getting to this marketplace requires two posts. One to get on the bridge and cross, and the other to get off and actually enter the marketplace.

Kai made his way through the twists and turns of the marketplace, steadily making his way to Nikko's ramen shop. Luckily he had already been there earlier today so he knew exactly where to go. But with each step he took he could feel his legs getting heavier, the weights were really starting to take their toll now, at this rate... no, I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna prove that I can walk the Path of the Shinobi, he thought to himself his face set in a determined smile. He saw the ramen shop coming into view and he slowed his pace, allowing his muscles to get used to less vigorous movement, until he stood in front of the shop then made his way inside.

Kai made his way out of the ramen shop being careful not to tilt the bowl at all. It was much more difficult navigating the busy streets than he would have expected, he constantly had to look ahead making sure not to bump into anyone on his way back to the park. Of course the weights were starting to wear him out, his already tired legs starting to burn from the exertion. Even walking, as he was now, was becoming more difficult, he was sure he would need to rest before whatever lesson LT had in store for him next. Kai just looked forward, making sure to maintain his concentration on the chakra flow to his arms that were helping them keep steady; he finally found his way to the bridge leading to the park and walked across it, his task nearly complete.

Yamatano was thoroughly spent by this point. He had given up on trying to catch Kai, now just focusing on walking. "Now I see..........Why LT said he failed the first time he did this." he tought to himself. Everyone in town was looking at him strangely, wondering what possesed him to do this. He was starting to get those thoughts too, but shook his head in defiance, determination setting in, as he neared the ramen store.

"I've learned something today," thought Yamatano as he walked through the crowd. "Balancing a bowl of hot ramen in a busy marketplace while wearing a 75 pound vest........is hard." Yamatano was weaving and dodging, desperately trying to keep the ramen from spilling. at one point a drop actually fell out, but, through some amazing miracle, He maneuvered the bowl so it fell right back in. "...............the coolest things always happen when no ones around to see it." he thought as he trudged along.

Kanzuki let out a heavy sigh as he obsevered the hustle of the marketplace," Balanceing this ramen in this crowd is going to be hell..." he thought to himself. As he continued to jog he pulled out a map of the Mist which included the marketplace. He was looking for any back alleyways that could cut down his chances of bumping into people. He noticed the alleyways as he jogged and he devised to what was him, the fastest most effective way of getting out of the marketplace. He then arrived at the ramen shop and with a sigh of relife went in.

Kanzuki was jogging at a quick rate as he made his way through the marketplace backalleys. He knew the chakra he sent to his legs would give out soon and soon the burning pain would return. He planned to clear atleast through the park before that happenened. Moving through the backalley path he came up with made his task much easier. There were hardly any people and the ones that were there were normally doing drugs and didn't pay him any mind. As he emegered from the final backalley his way out of the marketplace and back into the park.

The tsunami headed straight for the marketplace as the onlookers were too stunned to move. As the deadly force grew closer and closer, people in the area would only have mere seconds to move, or else they will be doing their shopping underwater.

Meanwhile, Riku atop the dry roof of an otherwise submerged market building. There Riku flashed back to when he'd somehow summoned the wall of ice, and he stared at his hand. "How did I do that?"

Riku then noticed something pass his hand. A corner of a sheet of paper, fluttering in the wind just outside the bottom of his vest. Curious, he reached down at it, and realized that this paper had been sewed up inside his vest. He pulled out several sheets of paper from the opening that was made, and realized that with one glance it was a technique scroll for ice jutsu. Riku's eyes quivered a bit. "Mother...did you know that I had this gift, even when I myself did not?" He gripped the scroll tightly in his hand. This was proof of what his parents wished him to do. He immediately flipped it open to the first techniques to start learning them.
[1/3] The first jutsu was called the "Freezing Point." Its basis seemed simple enough, dealing with just converting water into ice, but Riku soon discovered that this was much more difficult to control that he thought. On his first try he could do little more than make the water ripple a bit.
[2/3] Riku tried again. As he concentrated on the water around him, the temperature suddenly dipped and he could see his own breath apper in front of his face again. The water started to crack as it was slowly being crystalized into ice.
[3/3] Riku's eyes suddenly started to glow an icy blue, and the water flood around him flattened into solid ice. Riku decided to test this ability and stepped off of the roof to stand on the ice. Sure enough, he had completely freezed the water of the marketplace.

[1/3] Riku moved onto the next jutsu on the scroll, called the "Glacier Image." He had heard about something like it before, called the Kawarimi, but this technique sounded a bit different. He had to provide the replacement with an ice sculpture of himself. He started by trying to generate the image.
[2/3] After he successfully got the ice image down, he practiced making the replacement. It had to be done without any handseals, something he knew would prove useful in a tight spot. He slowly built the range of the switching technique.
[3/3] With some practice Riku finally got the method down. In an instant he could build up his chakra and seemingly disappear from view, leaving only the ice image behind for the opponent to hit. He could see how he could use this turn what would've been his own death, into the opponent's own demise.

[1/3] Riku moved onto the next jutsu on the scroll, called the "Zero Grip." It would allow him to walk on the ice. Concentrating his chakra to his feet, Riku took one step on the ice and slipped.
[2/3] After shakingly picking himself back up, Riku tried again. This time he made the distribution of his chakra more balanced. He made a few jogging steps this time without much trouble, but after trying to run he slipped and fell.
[3/3] With practice Riku eventually got himself to a point where he could run and jump around on the ice, but wouldn't fall. His feet made him stick to ice as easily as if it were grass. With the most basic level of his ice jutsu learned, Riku headed back to the academy. The village would have to move on sometime soon. Mourning the losses of the villagers for too long would make them the victims in another attack. Riku promised himself that he would be strong enough to protect everybody in the village next time such an event occured, and with the Gobi still running amok in Kaizen's body, he knew that it was possible that he wouldn't have to wait long.

Fordon arrived at the market place to see it was still underwater and sighed. it was going to be a hard job getting rid of all of this water. but soon as it was done the market would reopen and the village would start getting back on its feet. Fordon then left in the direction of the training facility.

Walking atop the water, Luo sighed as he could see the tops of the higher buildings rising out of the water. He needed to get this over with before water damage set into the concrete. They were going to have to scrub the concrete to get rid of the stain the water will leave, but other than that, the place would be fine.

Fordon appeared a moment later hopping from roof top to roof top till he got close enough to talk with little effort. "what do you have in mind my Lord? he asked staring into the rippling water.
