This expansive beach is located just over the mountain-side of Kiri. It is where most kiri shinobi go to further hone their water jutsu in private, or simply relax.

Kai jogged through the beach, the smell of the salty sea breeze filling his mind with memories of days spent here with his parents. The thought brought a smile to his face, but he had to stay focused, the vest was too bad right now, but each footstep in the sand made him sink up to his ankle, the weight of the vest making each footstep heavier than it would usually be. He tried to quicken his pace, trying his best to keep each foot on the sand for as little a time as possible, raising his knees almost to his chest with each step. By the time he got through the beach he could already feel the toll that the weighted vest was starting to take, but he knew that he had to press on, he would pass this test, he would make his parents proud.

Yamatano struggled to keep up with Kai, who was already well ahead of him. "You big cheater, you knew I was on my back when you started this mad race! Why do we have to put forth more effort than necessary?!?" He yelled. But truthfully, Yamatano was enjoying this a lot. He came off as lazy, but sort of liked friendly competition. Of course, he was reminded that this was training as each step created a burning sensation in his shoulders and made him sink into the sand.

Kai laughed a bit as he made his way onto the beach. He had just seen Yamatano making his way into the park, at this rate he was easily going to win, and then Yamatano would have to buy him some delicious beef ramen. The thought invigorated Kai, giving him a second wind, and allowing him to push through the throbbing pain of his legs. Each step felt like someone was poking his leg with hundreds of needles, the pain nearly unbearable, but he didn't have enough money to buy Yamatano ramen so he had to win. Kai pushed forward picking up his pace slightly, but still concentrating on keeping the bowl steady and level, the end was nearly in sight and he could almost taste victory, and victory tasted a lot like beef ramen.

Yamatano was exhausted, to say the least. He had given up any form of speed and just barely walked now, step by step, inch by inch. Suddenly he could see the Mizukage's tower in the distance, and his heart leapt. He was granted temporary reprieve of his pain at the sudden elation, which he decided to take advantage of. Mustering all his strength, he ran to the tower as fast as he could without spilling any ramen.

Kanzuki took deep slow breaths as he jogged on the beach. The salty air smelled invigortateing to him. The sound of the crashing waves brought peace to his mind as he continued his jog, the load seemed to be becoming lighter to he as he felt like a breeze moving down the beach.

Kanzuki was taking in really deep breaths of saltly air his 2nd run through the beach. The weights were wearing him down quickly and he could on muster enough chakra to on dull the burning of his legs for a few meager secounds, but those secounds was all that was needed as he spotted the tower in the distance. As he continued to jog and as he got closer the pain was slowly leaving his body, his adrenaline was kicking in and he knew it. He had to take advantage of it while he could, and took off sprinting towards the tower as fast as he could while balanceing the ramen.

Kai walked slowly onto the beach, his head down as he made his way over to LT. When he finally made it over to him, Kai knelt down, and waited for LT to begin. He continued to hold his head down, simply staring at his hands.

LT saw Kai appoarch him and decided to take this chance to try an experiment. "Kai, you no how you cant use any elemental jutsu before? Well sometimes it takes a traumatic event inorder to activate that response so that one could use elemental jutsu." LT pulled some of the chakra papers out of his left pouch and handed Kai one. "Kai, these papers are sensative chakra papers, if you focus your chakra into the paper, the paper will show you what element is your primary. Give it a go."

(well this will be interesting blaugh )
Kai took one of the papers listlessly with his right hand, then stared at it for a moment. He glanced up at LT's expectant face and sighed as he looked back down at the paper and forced a bit of chakra into it. Nothing happened and tears began to form in Kai's eyes for a moment, as he said sadly, "how can I hope to fulfill my parent's dreams, I'm just a talentless..." Suddenly the paper began to glow, shifting and mixing colors, looking almost like an aurora borealis.
Then the paper burst into flames, but only for a moment before it became damp and moist as if it had been dipped in water. Then suddenly the paper crumpled into a ball, completely dry, before it began to disentegrate, as if turning into sand. Before the sand could slip through Kai's fingers though, it reformed as if it were brand new, but was then immediately cut into shreds. The wind began to blow them away, but again the paper reformed in his hands and began to go through all the reactions again, in a different order each time, the color of the paper constantly shifting while it was affected in the different ways.
Kai stared at the paper, totally absorbed by the spectacle before him. Each time a different elemental reaction occurred with the paper, the color of Kai's eyes shifted, turning scarlet red when the paper caught fire, becoming sapphire blue as it was dampened, turning a golden topaz color as the paper crumpled, a deep brown as the paper turned to dust, and a vibrant emerald green as it was shredded. The process continued for several seconds, the sequences moving faster and faster, Kai's eyes shifting faster in the process, until finally his eyes were that same shifting aurora borealis.
Finally the paper stopped shifting as it simply seemed to disappear. Kai looked up at LT, eyes wide, still the ever shifting color of an aurora, but the rate at which it was shifting seemed to be slowing down. Then the aurora began to recede from the edges of his eyes, as if it were being sucked into the middle of his eye where the pupil would be, revealing stark white underneath. Finally the color receded, but Kai's eyes were no longer the same grey color, they were now completely white, with no pupil or iris, simply white. "Sensei... what does that mean?"
(don't mention the gobi please, unless you think that your character would simply have to do it, I want kai to first realize that he's a jinchuuriki when he has to tap into the gobi's chakra for the first time)

(I think you should have just used multiple papers..... But i thought since you were a academy student you should start out with one element then learn the rest, but i guess we can start any way you want. I wont tell your guy until the mizukage tells me too.)
LT eyes widened as he saw what had just happened.... "I honestly dont know. But i will find out." A surge of thoughts rushed into LT's mind. How do i train a boy with a demon in him. I should read up on this in the libary, i read some stuff on this back when the Great Hokage Naruto was the Hokage in leaf. He would have to read about who taught him and how. In the mean time LT would train him like he would train the other two. "Kai, how do you feel?"

(well, I it did say that the demon allows me to use all elements, I just can't mix them, but I liked how I did it, I thought it would be more epic than just taking a whole bunch of papers mrgreen )
"A little confused but... fine, why is this bad?! Is something wrong with me!?", Kai said, fear apparent in his expression. His stark white eyes just stared up at LT, barely seeming to even move.
