Character Name: Nemmol Age: 17 (15 at creation - Last Update: April 2013) Gender: Male Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual Craft/Rank: Weyrbrat/Candidate History: What is there to say about Nemmol? He grew up in Benden Weyr, but for reasons unknown chose not to Stand for the three Hatchings that occurred after he came of-age. He preferred instead to run messages and do other athletic-related odd jobs around the weyr. He also spent a great deal of time listening to the conversations between the riders of Brown and Bronze dragons as he did. What he was doing was preparing for Standing, wanting to have as much information as possible so that he would be a worthy Candidate for a Brown or higher. Surprisingly, his father was a Brownrider who took a considerable interest in his upbringing and encouraged the curiosity his son had for ranking dragons. Nemmol therefore has grown with a sense of what he wants from life and most of his time has been dedicated to that pursuit. The errands he runs around the weyr were to keep him in shape and give him more access to riders would would be able to tell him things he needed to know about the responsibilities of Wingleaders and what skills he would be learning from training. In Nemmol's mind, it was never too early to start learning. Description: Nemmol has a pair of gray-blue eyes that have the ability to capture the attention of those who make the mistake of looking him in the eye. He keeps his brown hair short at all times, since he dislikes it getting in his eyes. He'll likely be tall-- pushing past 6'-- and muscular when he grows into his body, but there are signs of that future height even when he is a Candidate. He already sports a scar along the outside of his right bicep from where he fell from a ledge when he was younger and wounded his arm. Personality: Charismatic. Ambitious. Prejudiced. Simply put, Nemmol aspires to acquire a Bronze or Brown dragon and become a Wingleader or, if necessary, a Wingsecond. He's spent most of his life learning the responsibilities of the high ranking members of the weyr and keeping himself fit by taking on whatever athletic tasks are necessary around the Weyr, from running messages to lifting barrels. Nemmol's single-minded pursuit of knowledge for how to be a worthy candidate for a higher level dragon is one of the examples of his ambition, though most of his ambition as a whole is focused on achieving high level status in the Weyr. He's never found anything else he's considered interesting enough to which to devote that level of attention. Unfortunately, his pursuit for a higher-ranking dragon is also the product of disdain for the lower level riders of the weyr. He understands that Greens and Blues are needed to fill out the wings, but he doesn't consider them or their riders anywhere near the level of Brown- or Bronzeriders and thus they aren't really worth his time. He'll be just as friendly to their faces as anyone else, and he's happy to learn from Wingleaders or Wingseconds how best to utilize them for Threadfighting, but he'll never consider them worth their boot leather for anything other than fighting the intermittent Thread threat. He's the vessel for every old stereotype of what Blueriders and Greenriders are and will adhere to those beliefs fully, only allowing for a few exceptions if the riders go above and beyond what Nemmol expects while in his view. Otherwise they're simply numbers for the Weyr's wings, a group of fickle, foolish, over-emotional people who aren't really at a Wingleader's level of intelligence. Worse still are mutations and their riders, which-- as the Weyr's traditional stance dictates-- are next to useless, unnatural, and unwelcome. Nemmol is less likely to be as friendly to them as he is to Blue- and Greenriders. His prejudices aren't the product of anger or disgust, hence why they don't appear in any very visible capacity when he talks to others. With him, it's simply a fact of weyr life, one that he fully understands and supports and is always floating there in the back of his mind, dictating the level of charm he exudes on others. However, since he rarely spares lower riders much thought unless directly presented with them, Nemmol is usually simply focused on becoming a dragonrider and schmoozing the other residents of the weyr, almost always with complete success. He smiles, makes direct eye contact, politely tells you what you want to hear, anything to put someone more at ease with him and let them know they can trust him. He does actually want people to like him, and in some cases really does like the other person, but he doesn't usually get too attached to others beyond acquaintances. Nemmol is aiming for a dragon and once you have your lifepartner, you really only need him. He isn't inherently cruel; he's just a product of his upbringing-- or his hoity-toity beliefs. The next Clutch at Benden is his chance to take the next step to becoming a properly ranked dragonrider and really putting those skills of his to good use. Other: Because he is unaware of his prejudice as being a prejudice, people in general wouldn't notice it either. They would just see the charming, ambitious Bronzerider willing to be politely friendly with anyone. Possessions: Linen shirt The fabric is high-quality linen dyed to a vibrant ruby red, putting some in mind of the standard color of Crimsons. The design is long sleeved with a small V-neck gap at the collar. Black leather thongs are attached to either side of the V to give the option of tying it shut. 5 small pearls (Worth 1/5 m. a piece) - Earned through Threadfall

Put them all out of mind, Nemmol. I am Tyeth, I am Yours, and we have more important things to do.Jr. Weyrling: [x] ; Sr. Weyrling: [x] ; Wingleader: [x] Name:Tyeth Colour:Bronze Inspired by:Tiger's Eye Personality:Let’s face it – it’s an ugly world out there, and Tyeth knows how to handle it. In this bronze’s opinion, there are two kinds of individuals: those who get duped, and those who know how to pull the strings. Some people may be individually clever, but crowds are almost always brainless entities just waiting to be told what to think. This may seem a pessimistic way to view life, but Tyeth is anything but gloomy because he’s one of the string-pullers – or as he would call it, a winner. However, he doesn’t disdain the credulous, because without them he would have no audience. Tyeth loves to be center stage, and since there’s nothing people love so much as a spectacle, he is all about being spectacular. Not only is Tyeth the most gorgeous bronze to ever hatch (at least in his opinion), he oozes style. Well muscled and of good proportion, he is also elegant of flight, manners, and speech. This silver-tongued bronze will be at the heart of many rumors in the weyr, but his tongue may put him at the heart of some trouble as well. There’s nothing Tyeth enjoys as much as overcoming adversity. He prefers mental pursuits to physical ones, but he isn’t one for shirking so long as the task is difficult enough to hold his attention. However, Tyeth’s ambition for success sometimes overrides his personable attitude. Ruthless when it comes to competition, he isn’t above shaming his opponent to claim victory. He prefers to use his manipulation to make friends and followers rather than enemies, but when it comes to any contest, be it either a debate or chasing a green or gold, his determination for success can override his usually genteel temperament. Tyeth may be charismatic, and like any bronze he feels drawn to leadership, but his manipulative ways may not always make friends. Even when he is well meaning he is generally condescending, and his competitive attitude may seem harsh to some. His will likely need to temper the bronze’s ambition, or perhaps provide a moral compass for the pair. They may also need to keep him for shirking more “boring” tasks the bronze would overlook. In return, his rider will be the only one Tyeth is as devoted to as himself – quite a gift from this haughty dragon! Why me?If Nemmol wants to climb the social ladder, he will never have a partner as up to the task as Tyeth. There aren’t many that match the standards of this egotistical bronze, but for His, Tyeth is ready to apply every magnificent ounce of himself. After all, Nemmol’s ambitions will provide this dragon with challenges befitting his abilities. One of Nemmol’s challenge will be keeping Tyeth focused on less interesting duties, as well as keeping his dragon’s condescending manner from repelling people; in return, this bronze will try and Teach his that green and blueriders aren’t to be dismissed. After all, these two will need followers – and admirers, because Tyeth will be putting them both into the limelight where they doubtless belong! Size: Very Large Build:Above Average InspirationTiger's Eye is the Planetary stone for Gemini (May 21-Jun. 20) and the accepted gem for the ninth wedding anniversary. Tiger's eye (tigers eye, tiger eye, tiger iron) is a member of the quartz group of chalcedonies. It is one of the chatoyant gemstones. Chatoyancy exhibits a changeable silky luster as light is reflected within the thin parallel fibrous bands. This effect is due to the fibrous structure of the material. Many legends about quartz say that wearing tiger's eye (which is a form of quartz) is beneficial for health and spiritual well being. Legend also says it is a psychic protector, great for business, and an aid to achieving clarity. Tiger's eye is mined in Western Australia, South Africa, USA, Canada, India, Namibia, and Burma.
