The RP Scenarios of the Spy Event are Staff Lead RP Events making use of dice rolls, situational responses, and event triggers. Your RP participation is crucial in the progression and completion of the Missions. Characters can and will be harmed if they have been signed up to do so as well as captured by the enemy and made into a Prisoner.
This RP Scenario is open only to following Characters: Character - Player Chrysicai - Dizzy Felix of Nomah - Dizzy D'lin of Bronze Plexith - Jet Wykla of Blue Kameth - magna S'lin of Green Dranith - mew Jolene - misty Rochelle of Crimson Kibeth - Noz Kaeyne - Noz Siata of Bronze Siask - Noz N'mol of Bronze Tyeth - Rhia Jordan - Rhia Cetalese of Green Halith - Rhia Gauden - Rhia Wen of Black Rynsemth - Shadd Kleos of Crimson Moriath - Tawny C'tis of Blue Malcarreth - Tawny V'lay of Blue Vinath - tetra Corloss – Tuatha Half Rations – Introduction Trine was not one to simply roll over and be a victim. The people of the Weyr had been burned more then once by the forces of the Wherholds, they had lost family, lovers, partners and homes to those would take by force what they called equality. It was time for Trine for fight back but everyone knew how fortified the halls of Benden and Malvren were : no dragons could fit and only the smallest of the whers could traverse the majority of human tunnels. In order to take back the Weyrs, the Dragonriders needed to resort to less obvious means.
The population needed to be hamstrung on a large enough scale to weaken them to any invading forces from Trine. The answer came in the form of a poison. It was strong enough to weaken the consumer for nearly a month, and if taken too much would kill the human. This would serve a two fold purpose – if the humans were rendered too ill to fight, they could not defend the Wherhold and the dragons would be compromised. The bonus, of course, was that if tainted food filled a human it would make the Wher more feral or reduce the dragon numbers… While the Wherholds were strong, their humans were, physically, their weakest link. The method was questioned for its plausibility and the answer came simply: name a society that doesn’t need to eat.
And so the volunteers of Trine were gathered and given their poison pouches. Warnings were delivered as the poison could be absorbed through the skin, albeit not enough to incapacitate the bearer completely. The attempt would be made at night in Malvren first… and they needed a distraction.Half Rations – Phase 1 Instructions – Infiltrate the Wherhold
Most of Malvren’s storage is within the Cliffside tunnels and the group must get into the stronghold by some means. To do so they arrive under the cover of darkness and must sneak up to the stables and pens in which the Herdbeasts, Wherries, and Runners are kept on the surface. Every individual has come prepared to start fires and it is these places that are set aflame.
Each character rolls 2d4 (Stealth, Tools) up to 3 times (3 separate posts). The first die is the amount of preparation for the blaze (0=fumbled, 5=perfect set up) the second is the alert level caused by disturbing the animals (0=no fuss with animals, 5=animals are causing a rucus).
Once all characters have rolled 3 times, the total of the preparation and the alert dice are taken – if the alert is greater than the prep, than they were too loud and too obvious in their attempt and are spotted as the flames roar to life. If it is less, they started the fire without being noticed and the distraction is perfect.
Further Instructions will follow once the characters have rolled 3 Dice (or 2 IRL days has passed, whichever is sooner). Training Bonus Break Down **Add these values to whatever you roll to determine your final score.** Stat : Bonus 0-10 : -2 11-30 : -1 31-70 : 0 71-90 : +1 91-100 : +2 (Example: You roll a 2 and a 3, and have a skill of 11 in Stealth;Tools, then the value is: 2-1 = 1 and 3-1 = 2. Therefore the character is causing a moderate distrubance with the animals will doing a poor job of setting up the fire distraction.)

Dranith had been a bit nervous about this mission, but if S'lin was determined to go then she would allow nobody else to carry her. So the pair returned to their old weyr to carry out the mission. Once S'lin had been dropped off, Dranith flew off to hide somewhere where she would not be easily seen and would be near enough to come quickly when called.
Supplies in hand, S'lin slipped off toward the beast pens and crouched down near a flock of wherries. Despite doing a mediocre job during training, she swiftly set the fire and did a pretty good job of it. The wherries began to grow alarmed, milling around and making a fuss. Satisfied that that spot was done well, S'lin headed off to a new pen.

C'ross - +0 Tools Total: 4, 4
If there was one thing that you could say about C'ross, it was that he performed well under pressure.
Only just barely two weeks a weyrling, and already he was risking his dragon on a desperate stealth mission into Malvren territory. Not that Nimith would have permitted it any other way. The size and shape of a large canine, Nimith was a blue-black shadow on his heels, moving like a ghost as they slipped away towards the beast pens. Human and bonded in perfect sync, both equally silent and stealthy as they approached their destination.
The poison pouch was carefully stowed away in C'ross' pocket; he'd been careful not to let any of the dangerous stuff touch his skin. And for purposes of the distraction, he was also carrying a small firestarting kit. While C'ross wasn't altogether comfortable with the poisons and explosives (he'd handled the pouch as if it were a live tunnelsnake ready to bite him at any moment) he did know how to set a good fire.
Kneeling down, he set up the tinder, stoked the little flame until he was sure it wouldn't go out, and then moved on rapidly before the two of them were spotted.

[Rochelle]
Let no one say Rochelle didn't know how to creep. She did, silent on small feet and her hand over her fire starting kit. The poison had her on a bit of an edge but she saw it better to have something than nothing when it came to things like this. Being captured would not be pretty or painless.
Keep your darkness wrapped around you and you'll be fine.Stop being silly and predicting doom. Kibeth said softly, reaching out through their strained bond. She sounded too far off for comfort. Rochelle didn't like that.
She did like fires, however. The glasscrafter crouched, ready to start her blaze. Working for over a decade in the classcrafters quarters helped as she started the small lick of flame, quiet even still when she moved for another. The animals shifted, restless, and one of them started to make an unholy noise, blast it between. The fire must have scared them.
Shaff.

S'lin headed for the next pen to set up another fire. But this time she fumbled with the materials, dropping them in a muddle more than once before she finally got them in order. Coaxing them to light took a while, far longer than S'lin liked, and the resulting flame was small and fitful, and didn't seem to bother the herdbeasts one bit. She would have liked to try and stoke it a bit to make it larger, but had spent far too long in this spot already, and moved off as soon as it seemed the flame might burn on its own.

What was that? C'ross couldn't hear that over the sound of him setting fire to everything.
Well, all right, maybe not quite that fantastic. But he was feeling pretty good about his new temporary career as an arsonist. Around him the herdbeasts were beginning to stomp and low anxiously, shaking their shaggy heads as the smell of smoke reached them.
That was... good, right? That was the point? They were supposed to be causing a distraction, and stampeding herdbeasts would certainly be a distraction...

[K'yne and Psaumith]
Psaumith hissed as if the animals could hear him, light body close to the ground. He slunk, irritated, worried, trying not to hiss. Danger, disgusting horrible danger but why was he here? K'yne. The idiot signed up for this before Impression and now... now.
Yes it is. This is killing them which, in turn, keeps us from dying. K'yne winced when he stepped on something crackable, making a noise that even had Psaumith rumbling. The animals stirred to wakefulness, squeaking and chirping. K'yne paid them no mind even as Psaumith dug his heels in, eyes yellow in the dim night.
K'yne lit a fire instead. He fumbled it and growled, swearing mentally before it sprang to life as a smal and rather pathetic flame.
I think it's fun.

[Wen and Rynsemth] Set up 1+1 =2 Alert 1+1 =2
Rynsemth drawled, watching bemused from a distance away.
'I'm setting an animal pen on fire, so yes.' Wen grumbled and half heartily scrapped it into a pile.
'Ryns.'
The black rumbled.

V'lay - Tools +2 Prep - 6 Alert - 5
---
V'lay didn't like operating at a distance from Vinath. But what V'lay disliked even more than operating at a distance from Vinath was the possibility of the wherholders not getting their comeuppance. He could still feel the dragon in the back of his mind as he crept into the paddocks, low to the ground and moving as quietly as possible. One of the animals near him shifted uneasily, giving out a loud groan, but V'lay ducked away as quickly as he could and set to work putting up one of the small blazes. The animals, already alerted to the presence of others, he assumed, and never entirely stable to begin with, were on alert, and several large noses swung down to investigate what he was doing.
On a whim, he considered slipping a palmful of poison to one of the particularly nosy creatures, but he let it slide, focusing instead on finishing his pile of tinder. an oil-soaked rag functioning as a wick, and V'lay began to move, hoping he wasn't alerting too much attention to himself, If things went well, he'd wait for the clamor in the animals to die down before going back and lighting the bundle. Otherwise, he'd have to push himself right back into the thick of the herd while they were milling and lowing and generally making a fuss.
For a moment, his hand strayed to the knife at his side. He wasn't above slitting a few throats if it meant the wherholders suffered.

Cai and Miath (+0 to both rolls)
The ocean is so different here!
Hush Miath... Cai's nerves were on edge as she stuffed an oil soaked rag into a split fencepost.
And the cliffs! Where are their weyrs? The crimson was well away from the humans, but her excitement was hard to contain. It was her first time away from Trine and she was thrilled with all of the new experiences. Do you think their herdbeasts taste different?
Miath will you shut up? Cai took a deep shaky breath, trying to fight back a burst of hysterical laughter before she lit the rag and dashed off to her next target.

V'lay - Tools +2 Prep: 3 Alert: 6
---
It wasn't getting better. Or maybe it was. It kind of depended on the way you thought about things. But as the noise level escalated and the animals got more and more unhappy, V'lay found himself in the middle of a growing panic. It ultimately ended when one of them strayed too close to a gap in the fences. There was pushing, leaning, the creak of tortured wood.
And then something went crack and a gate swung open and V'lay had a full-on stampede on his hands.
Unsure of whether this was better or worse than his last attempt, V'lay scrambled, dodging in and lighting the wick quickly before taking off running. He leaped a fence, hitting the ground and rolling, ignoring what he may have landed in and pushing himself as far into dark and shadow as possible. Hopefully he'd be able to start another blaze in here before things got too ugly.

Felix (+1 to both rolls)
Felix frowned at the materials in his hands. When he'd signed up he'd expected to be able to talk with the wherholders, to convince them that this wasn't they way they needed to go about getting what they wanted. Whoever had sold him on the idea of going back to Malvren had painted a pretty picture for the apparently hopelessly naive dolphineer. Felix was mentally kicking himself.
It was a struggle to even put fire to the fence even if the animals had plenty of room to escape the blaze. This wasn't the way they should be doing things!

S'lin headed for another one, but this time she paused to take a deep, calming breath before she started. She had steadier hands than the previous set-up suggested, she could do this. She started setting up the last of her materials, moving a bit slowly to make sure she did it right this time. This last fire was stronger than her second, and while a little small, seemed strong. As she slipped off to return to the others, she noticed that the animals didn't seem bothered by the fire. Just as well, let the fire cause the alarm.

Rynesmth rumbled and reached out to Miath.
Wen snorted and looked over the herd's beast. 'Think you can fly with one?' He asked ask partly because he like animals and if he spotted one in reach when they made their way back, it could be a good gift for Jemi.
'For Jemi.'
