Name: Waridi'eusi Name Meaning: Black Rose in Swahili Gender: Female Location: Mwezi'Johari
Colorist: lilwolfpard Gotten: From lil's FREE custom contest! TY lil! <333
Parents: ??? Brothers: - Sisters: Usiku'waridi Mate:
Personality: Waridi is a mysterious individual that refuses to disclose anything about her past or of herself. This often arises into a misconception that she is introverted, but this is not so. Ever since she has left her own family and pride, Waridi is still struggling to come to terms with who she really is, and as such, often acts as who she was brought up as, a quiet lioness. When provoked however, Waridi knows how to speak up for herself, stubbornly sticking to her own views instead of conforming to others. Waridi also chooses to trust little, as her trust has faded when her friends snubbed her after the news of her betrayal got around the pride.
Still, Waridi secretly longs to return to her pride, and harbours some affection for her family, especially her sister, wondering how Usiku’waridi is, and often dreams that her sister has a happy family with Baridi’epesi. Her encounter with Baridi and most males in her previous pride has made her wary of males, though she does not exactly hate them; she merely dislikes them.
Waridi has a soft spot for cubs as well, no matter which gender, as she believes that there should be no gender discrimination. Seeing cubs reminds Waridi of the possibility that she might have nieces and nephews and she is determined to treat them fairly.
History: Waridi was born in a pride where males are the dominant gender. She was taught to be meek and submissive from when she was a cub. Wanting to be the perfect daughter, she listened to her parents every whim and carried out any demand, acting like a proper lioness should. And so everything went well for Waridi.
The same didn’t go for her sister, however.
Usiku’waridi was a chatty lioness who got too many ideas in her head, and spouted them all out for everyone to hear. As such, everyone thought she was strange and shunned her, and even their parents often rebuked her, and put their attentions on Waridi’eusi, their perfect daughter.
Or so they thought.
While everyone refused to talk or listen to her sister, Waridi did, secretly of course, out of fear that her parents might find out. Late in the night, the two would awake and talk in hushed tones, where Usiku would ask questions that defied their pride’s beliefs, and which Waridi would listen...and slowly get ideas of her own. Still, Wasridi never failed to act as the ideal lioness in front of everyone and gently encouraged her sister to do the same. Though Usiku slowly began to do so, there was still a general suspicion hovering in the air; the others were still hesitant to trust her.
It was not surprising then, that their parents arranged a mate for Waridi, instead of Usiku, who was the eldest. In their own words, “Who would want to have a mate that talks too much and bring shame to his family?” Waridi thought Usiku would not mind and accepted this; however, she was surprised to see her sister devastated by this news. It was then she learned that Usiku was in love with her future mate, Baridi’epesi, and he was too. However, he refused to acknowledge this when the two went to confront him about this matter.
“Men have their pride.” Usiku said, and Waridi watched her sister’s tears fall with a heavy heart.
It was that night that Waridi made up her mind.
The next morning, Waridi went to see her parents, and offered that her older sister should be the mate of Baridi’epesi, stating that it was her right as the oldest. Her parents refused and told her not to worry for her sister, assuring her that she would make a good mate for Baridi. However, the unexpected happened. Waridi’eusi declined.
Stunned at her sudden change in behaviour, her parents advised her to leave and mull over their words, but Waridi was their shy daughter no more. Speaking up for her sister, Waridi argued with her parents for the first time in her life, lying that it was her that made her sister this way; that they were all her ideas, but she was just too afraid to voice them out. It was not long until this matter was brought to the pride leader.
Waridi’s defiance and “confession” was seen as a betrayal to her pride. Usiku agreed, after a long heated discussion and insistence, to play along with her story so that she could be with her loved one. With her sister’s happiness ensured, Waridi’eusi left the pride, a different lioness than the one she had been born as. Font color

Name: Shinda Name Meaning: Surpass, outdo, excel in Swahili Gender: Female Location: Mizimu'Tungika
Colorist: Meepfur Gotten: Mizimu'Tungika's LARGE Roleplay/Custom Contest! TY Slan & Cuter! <33
Parents: Sakata & ??? Step-brothers: Kitisho, Penzi'iko Uumizi; Njozi'Bovu, Njozi'Ema, Masego'Moswen; Tuka, Satatu, Sukata Step-sisters: Kali'ari, Ala'koikoi, Mfuondoka; Haramu, Sitirika; Takata, Sakitu, Suka, Katuatu, Jini, Sukutu Mate: -
Personality: Living in Sakata’s shadow all this while has made Shinda grown used to it, abandoning her past resentment. Shinda has inherited Sakata’s callous side and physical size and strength, but not his brash actions. Cunning and manipulative, the Warleader’s daughter is sharp to notice the weaknesses of others, including that of her own father’s.
As the war has passed and peace comes to the Mizimu, with the addition of Jini retreating into the shadows, Shinda focuses on being dutiful to the Claw as she always has, still hoping to one day rise to the ranks of a Veteran. While she does not really bother with the fight her royal half-siblings are engaging with for the throne, watching them interests her as the days without a war to fight are dull. When approached by Matokeo with his offer to sneak around the pride and listen in on rumors and gossip, Shinda initially refused, although the snake is adamant to stay by her side.
History: Shinda was born to the pride as Sakata, the Warleader's daughter. Her mother was said to be dead, and Sakata left her to the care of the Minders. As a cub, she was deprived of parental love, and constantly asked questions about her mother. The answers never came however, and eventually, she stopped asking.
Shinda grew up to be a fine lioness, keeping everything the Minders taught her in mind. Even so, being in Sakata's shadow made her become resentful of her father; she never forgot how he had neglected her.
When it was time to choose a rank...Quote: Defy him. A voice echoed in her head. Turn away from the Claw. Shinda narrowed her bright orange eyes, eyes that were not unlike her father’s in physical appearance. Eyes that knew what they saw was not the whole picture, eyes that could see what others truly were, eyes that grew thoughtful as the wheels in her head turned. Eyes that held a spark, a spark Sakata did not possess. Perhaps it was her mother that had passed this down to her. Nothing was known about her; she had stopped asking long ago. But still, Shinda was thankful that she did not possess the rash, impulsive glint her father had. She would not rush into this decision. She had to weigh her options, look ahead, think of what would best for her. She had to admit that rebelling against her father’s expectations, or rather most of the pride’s, seemed rather tempting. Mighty Sakata’s daughter, not lending her strength to the Claw! Oh how much she hated them comparing her with him. It was always Sakata’s daughter this, Sakata’s daughter that. Never just Shinda. She wasn’t just his daughter; she was herself. Sometimes she wondered why they were so idiotic, not noticing how different she was. Or maybe, this thought often crossed her mind; they were doing it to merely cause her annoyance. The lioness breathed heavily, focusing her mind back to the decision she had to make. Perhaps the Heart. She mused. Serving the Queen as a Haruspex was an intriguing idea. But serving the spirits? She made a face. Shinda doubted she had an affinity with them; reading entrails? Hah, all she could see was blood and intestines. What really was the good in that? She tossed the idea aside dismissively. The Blood then? Again with the spirits. But if not the Heart or the Claw, then what else? Was she really so eager to turn away from the Claw? Shinda asked herself. She was a strong, powerful lioness, and for this, she grudgingly thanked Sakata for her physique. In refusing to join the Claw, she was just being stubborn, being impulsive...just like Father. No. There was a better way for Shinda to show the Mizimu’Tungika who she truly was. She would join the Claw, where she had the greatest opportunity to rise through the ranks and be a greater pride member than her father was, or would ever be. And what better way was it to start out as a Warrior, under her father’s command, to work against his tough expectations, and to show everyone her potential. A smile grew on her maw. Yes. Shinda's dream was then, to become a Veteran, and show her father what she was capable of. It was all she worked hard for.
Until the birth of the royal cubs were announced, and things went haywire from there. She was sharp enough to notice that Sakata paid the cubs more attention than he ever did to her, and harbors some doubts towards her half-siblings.
Then, her 'mother' approached her.
Shinda is still hesitant on whether to take the things her 'mother' has said to be true; whether the Queen is truly plotting to kill her, seeing her as a threat to the throne due to the growing rumors of her acting as the spirits, and not for them.

Colorist: Dark Fire Angel Gotten: Major May Customs 09!
Parents: - Brothers: - Sisters: - Mate: -
Personality: Agressive. Brash. Crazy. These are just some of the words others use to describe Huo'jin. He is a large brute, and is indeed hot-tempered and flares up easily, not hesitating to resort to violence when he does not get what he wants. Crudely put, he is a obstinate a*****e, though this serves as one of his main distinctive strength, his perseverance; he never leaves something undone. Though cynical of strangers, Huo'jin is fiercely devoted to those he supports and will follow Nukta in his conquest to the very end.

Name: Kunge Name Meaning: Heavy Mist in Swahili Gender: Male Location: Aali'makabila
Colorist: Lithia Brandon Gotten: Aali'makabila Giveaway
Parents: - Brothers: - Sisters: Ukungu Mate: -
Personality: Despite the fierce competitiveness of the two, the siblings are in fact, rather close and have great trust in each other, albeit the sarcastic tone they usually communicate in. To them, it is a fair competition, and they will not stoop to any unscrupulous means to defeat each other.
Kunge is not only the larger one physically, but is also the older of the two. He is straightforward and often jumps to conclusions without a second thought. Kunge often acts on his instincts rather than think things through, preferring to face the problem head on.
History: Ever since the twins were born, there was a competitive streak in both of them, to do better than the other. They always vied with each other; at first, in things as silly as staring contests, which would eat the fastest, who could roar the loudest, and such. As they grew up, they began to tire of their childish contests, and decided to look for a pride life together, where they could then prove whose skills were the best. The both of them are stubborn, and refuse to admit defeat to each other, often ending up in a quarrel. Font color
