Slowly, but surely, the nightmares were fading, the lioness was gratified to note. It was good to wake up with a smile on her face, instead of sweating profusely and haunted by memories...memories she wanted to forget.
Sometimes, it didn't help that wandering about alone, she was bound to get lost in her own thoughts and think about the past. It made her weak and she hated it. She had to be stronger. She owed herself, and her sister that much.
Lately, the ones she had met occupied her thoughts, even if it was just a brief meeting. They all had different places to be, different stories, even though she didn't pry into their affairs. It wasn't as if she would tell her story to someone she had just met either.

Zara’s jaw parted as she padded forward, snarling to herself bitterly. Today—this whole week had been poor, bad even; horrid. Her quest to find an old pride-mate had been unsuccessful and things were starting to get under her skin; this was her job- to find him, to find Mal. Her title depended on it, she had given her word.
With a deep sigh she rolled her eyes and stopped, gazing around with a cocked brow. She was starting to let her anger get the best of her.
“I swear to god, Mal- when I find you.”
She spat out and sat, clawing at the earth below; her ingrown claws dug into the earth as she sat, tapping her tail from side to side in aggravation.

The lioness had been staring at the ground while she walked on aimlessly, lifting her head up only when she heard a snarl. For a moment, Waridi'eusi merely stared at the other. It wasn't exactly fear that had stopped her; it was curiosity.
The other female looked so...so fierce, so strong. It was a rather strange sight for someone who had came from a pride where females were meant to be docile.
She rather wanted to be like her.
"Are you alright?" She asked, gazing at the female. It was the first time she had spoke without being spoken to.
