Eternal Corrupt Chrysocolla
Chrysocolla didn't particularly want to be here, but it wasn't really like she had anything better to be doing; and when Queen Laurelite encouraged doing something, she did it. As simple as that.

It wasn't exactly that she didn't want to be here, even, it was that she didn't like having to play nice with these people. It would've been really convenient to just... grab someone and run off to Negaspace with them! Or 'accidentally' hurt someone while she was in the middle of the fray! But Laurelite had said not to start fights unless there was no other option, and so Chrysocolla wasn't going to take the chance. She'd sulk about it, but she did that a lot, anyway.

Who was here already? Who did she recognize from the database, from her own memory? General-King Jet was here, but not at full power, and he was next to General Aquamarine. That wasn't a huge surprise. Purple, orchards, glowing markings... that meant that senshi was Ida. Hadn't the database said she was a Princess? Nectaris was here, in the same pink as always -- needed to stay away from her, just to be careful, to be safe -- and there was a lot of other Knights. And Senshi. And Negaverse Senshi she didn't recognize.

Almadel was really popular, apparently. Maybe Chrysocolla should've actually gone and visited him at any point during previous Star Festivals, but last year she'd gotten stuck in a rift the whole time, so she couldn't have done it even if she'd wanted to...? It'd never seemed important or interesting.

She folded her arms over her chest and stood at a slight distance, just far enough out of the crowd that she wasn't shoulder-to-shoulder with a bunch of people she didn't like and didn't care about, and only leaned up on her toes a little. People in Destiny City tended to be... pretty tall.

============
Corrupt Sailor Aschera
Aschera was here for two reasons, and two reasons exactly. Reason one -- she needed to put in occasional Negaverse appearances for the sake of looking committed and not fully ghosting them, and a largescale scenario like this meant she was unlikely to get mauled by someone in a white bodice, thank god. The other reason was that. Hm. Exactly how often was he likely to get to engage with xenobiology? Not too often! That was a carrot in and of itself, and it was a goddamn effective one, because here Aschera was.

Standing around, feeling a little awkward, surrounded by strangers, and pointedly aware of her nasty body horror costume: which she really did like a decent amount of the time, viscera was always excellent, but it did tend to evoke a -- it evoked a specific, certain reaction in people.

============
DSS Super Róka
"Kosopods," Róka remarked, and sounded surprisingly interested. Hardly something they'd expected to hear about on Earth, with how secluded from the galaxy at large it was -- but they'd been a Wyrm-Hunter, still were at heart (with the longest recorded lifespan of any Hunter, bar none, given they'd all averaged maybe fifty-something), and beasts? Beasts they knew. Monsters, beasts, any matter of creatures; very different from killing humanoids but deeply important all the same.

If they just happened to somehow pocket something from Almadel's museum, he could hardly blame them even if he did discover its loss, did he? There were so many bodies here. Any of them could have done it. If they were already planning ahead for it, who could blame them at all?

Regardless -- exterminating beasts and a free lunch, all in one. And none of that pesky mentally-affecting magic, nothing that hooked itself into their chest and heart and pulled; all in all, likely a much easier outing than the last few, if only because Chaos gave its devotees real and genuine weapons.

Of that, Róka was still a slight bit jealous. --Slight might've been an understatement. Hells, but they missed their weapons, and ripping knives or spears or any kind of blade from an officer's hands seemed as if it'd be inefficient and pointless in the end.

With a call to action such as this, though, there ought to be some of the other Nameless around. Hired work -- requested, volunteered work -- was such an easy familiarity. Were there others in the crowd...? They didn't see any other foreign Senshi quite yet, but that didn't mean all too much.

Heliodor, Corrupt Super Senshi of Ryutou
The task at hand was interesting. With orders clearly stating to not cause any unnecessary conflict between anyone, especially the aliens, Heliodor’s interest had been piqued.

Of course, Almadel being the one to put out the summons for assistance was also a curiosity. While Heliodor had only interacted with the vendor once, he had gotten the impression that the man was not the sort to put himself out there for assistance. Anyone who worked in any sort of business knew how a favor could be a ware in and of itself.

What sort of things were they about to learn about? Well….large alien bugs hadn’t been at the top of Helio’s speculated list.

Gold eyes gazed around at the occupants. There were many already gathered as Almadel began his explanation and questions and answers segment. The corrupt kept himself quiet, listening in to the questions being tossed out. Some were useful, others meant to jab and poke at those they didn’t agree with.

There were many familiar voices and Helio found himself floating towards those of his own faction but not quite integrating himself within. He hoovered close enough that it was apparent where his alliances sat, but not so much that he needed to converse. Not right now. But, he did glance over at his brother gold attempting to meet blue in acknowledgement. A silent hello.

General Rakovanite

He could hardly believe he’d allowed himself to be talked into this.

If he was a miser or a hoarder, maybe hearing of those plentiful payments would have won him over. But he wasn’t. Rakovanite could have stayed home and felt perfectly confident that he wasn’t missing out on anything. That would leave him with just the matter of convincing his partner of the same…

An absolutely insurmountable task.

Rakovanite wasn’t a hoarder; Narcissus was. Rakovanite could not be tempted with new and strange; Narcissus could. Rakovanite struggled to make this deviation from his expected norm; Narcissus excelled. He didn’t have the heart to refuse his love this one annual opportunity to amass… he didn’t know: space garbage and seasonal trinkets, most likely. He did always find himself in possession of more charms for every progressive summer he spent with Basyl... And they were both extremely aware that Narcissus wasn’t the one between the two of them who excelled in combat. There was no situation where the Senshi could be allowed to go without him.

That didn’t mean Rakovanite was happy about it, but he was present. That had to count for something.

“I am sure I could have come up with a bribe to make skipping this event worth it,” Rakovanite rumbled stiffly as he stared blatantly across the gathering to where Almadel gave his short briefing, being absolutely sure to litter it with shallow complements and reminders of how much he loved Earth. His partner must be absolutely swooning, as he had during most of their other meetings. “All he does is whisper sweet nothings and bring trouble in his wake,” he grumbled, and he didn’t understand why no one else seemed to realize this.

Admittedly Rakovanite had agreed with the sweeter sentiment at one point! Very charming. Very alien. Very handsome. Very interesting- But his interest had waned for every progressive incident Almadel brought with him, and Rakovanite had decided it was probably for the best to limit interactions to those of a purely transactional nature. Narcissus was significantly more forgiving than Rakovanite was. And considering where they were and who surrounded them, he did not want to be giving any wrong impressions.

Everyone else around them were not allies. Rakovanite could lie when it posed no inconvenience, but affecting a demeanor like he wanted to be approached by his enemies was hardly ‘no inconvenience.’

With that ‘teeny, tiny’ problem Almadel spoke of on top of that, Rakovanite didn’t think this would be an enjoyable experience. A ‘teeny, tiny problem’ to someone with enough lifespan and galactic reach to see thousands of problems could not possibly be a ‘teeny, tiny problem’ to those who’d lived comparatively short lives on Earth.

Rakovanite was not happy about this.

Corporal Fysarius

"You know that man?" Fysarius questioned uncertainly as he eyed a Negaverse agent and Dark Mirror Senshi pair that Ny seemed intent on going over to join. He didn't recognize them, so it would be odd that Ny did- ...Wouldn't it? He'd generally considered it strange if she knew people he didn't, and vice versa, but he had done an extremely limited amount of Earth exploring, having not been particularly amicable to its social climate. And Ny was, despite her silence, much more personable than he was, of late...

Perhaps it wasn't strange.

But those two? It had to be those two in particular? The rest of the Vanguard were gathering not a handful of yards away, and it would probably be safer to stick with those they were more familiar with, but... Well, it wasn't like he'd done anything to keep ties with them tight over the past couple of years. Maybe Ny avoided them for his benefit. That would be just like her.

He smoothed a hand down the cool, smooth head of the creature he had strapped like an infant to his chest. It wobbled nubbly arms, clicked the tips of its tarsi, and tipped its too-large head back to peer at him with what Fysarius called a 'fond' expression. Most would say there was nothing going on up there, but he knew better! He knew Schmoopie was happy to be included, even if the adventure might turn out to be dangerous... Which was hard to say given the limited information.

But Fysarius had had to bring Schmoopie! He needed to be fed every two hours and kept constantly moist so he wouldn't dry out, and who could Fysarius trust to care for him while he went off and did something else? No one, that's who!

Ny wanted to take pictures of more strange places, and she couldn't go alone (well, she absolutely could- between the two of them, she was more likely to succeed at 'going alone' anywhere), so he had to go with her! And if Fysarius had to come, so did Shmoopie.

But he was already hesitant about the choices his partner was making. "Are we really going over there? Ny? Ny. Ny!" The question was practically being answered for him as she headed over, with Fysarius squawking as he followed.

Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter

Sessrumnir had his arms crossed over his chest, and he did his best not to make it obvious that he was trying not to react.

He could hear Alastor’s voice in his head. But he could also see the smug smirk from Aquamarine.

Alastor was right, of course. He needed to stay focused and not get riled up. As much as he would like to put an end to both Aquamarine and Jet. He knew they couldn’t be saved. The Cauldron could sort them out, but the time for second chances had come and gone.

He hadn’t missed how no one in the Negaverse seemed to be attacking. None of the Knights or Senshi were attacking, either.

“How’s yours?” he asked Aquamarine instead, making sure he had his attention and eye contact, before moving his gaze to Jet. He knew they were close. Probably closer than they were willing to admit. But he saw the way they were always together.

No doubt that Aquamarine would know that he was very much debating on how he could get close enough to Jet to make him suffer for what he did. And how that would affect Aquamarine in the process.

Botein, Super Senshi of Amulets

Botein had first heard of this particular call for help from a strange sidewalk sign. One that was really very ornate and definitely didn't make sense in the patch of ground in the middle of nowhere. But it wasn't really the sign that had her showing up here in this field with a wide range of people. A very wide range since there were not only senshi and knights but also officers from the Negaverse.

Now this was really very strange! She knew that the sign had said ‘Now Hiring: Emergency Part Time Assistance. Looking for fearless, battle-savvy exterminators. Please arrive promptly, Friday June 21st, 10 PM. Will reward HANDSOMELY’ but she didn't think that such an eclectic grouping of people would take up the challenge. Maybe they needed the money like she did? College wasn't cheap and summer really was the only time she could save up any significant amount. With this in mind she had come to the designated spot only to be faced with a mixed crowd and a man who didn't seem to be a human.

This might not be as easy as she had first thought. "Oh dear," She murmured quietly even as she absently wondered if Painite was there. She was really the only officer she knew with any sense of familiarity. There were others she had encountered but they didn't end so well. She just hoped that she didn't spot any of those people. They weren’t particularly nice, that is for sure.

Lt. Brassite
currently: staying in Chalcanthite's vicinity and spectating outloud

The orders from Miss Queen ******** was like, such a cool opportunity. Now don't get it twisted, Brassite was totally down to throw hands and whatever for the sake of...well, being on a Side, really. But getting to look at other factions without any other real concerns was super cool.

And it really didn't feel all that dangerous considering General King Hunky-Dorable and his little General Angelface were there. Both seemed pretty chill for the situation, kinda friendly-murdery. Like it was a PTA meeting or something.

Of course her general, Chalcanthite, was also there, being all smart and asking his important nerd questions. Brassite decided not to crowd too close to him, she's a big girl now! She's almost 15! But she did stay near enough to hear and react quickly to any orders he might have. She's a high quality lieutenant! She's super ********' professional!

It'd be nice, though, if she'd known about the bug part beforehand. She could've gotten a cage to bring one back for Mimsy. Maybe she could still try? If they were big enough, maybe they could be carried around or leashed like a pet? Brassite very nearly got distracted by the logistics of putting little hats and sweaters on a pet giant alien bug thing.

Okay no, this was a mission. She had to take this seriously. She had to evaluate the enemy while she had this really cool opportunity. So there were, senshi. Which were like their senshi but like, less emo about it? And the secret third type of senshi. Who were super goth about it. And knights who had a super stinky vibe, in her opinion. There were also senshi who were aliens? And then like, alien-aliens. Like, were those actual zappy guns like on TV? Cool as s**t.

The redhead teen was literally bouncing on her toes as she looked around, ponytail bobbing with the excess energy derived from both youth and the happy bliss of ignorance. The questions getting asked and answered did filter through her excitement, at least. Some people seemed to really like this Almond guy. Other people? Not so much! But all of them seemed to seem like, be comfortable dealing with him to some degree. Enough to be here and not trying to magically stab him, at least.

The Senshi of Boy Scouts started talking s**t about the Negaverse, which successfully pulled her attention away from the Blue-Dragon Corrupt, who somehow managed to be wearing so much fabric and showing so much skin that it was a sort of magic on its own. Stowing away this costuming marvel, Brassite took a moment to go, "Ooooooo!" Like this was about to be some kinda schoolyard tiktok fight.

When Almond responded, she went, "Ooooooh," again, and added, "...he just called that guy narrow-minded! He doesn't think that guy understands nuance! He's just said, Get your frog-a** out that well and look around, Boy Scout! He just said, Don't speculate, specu-lum and broaden those horizons."

The girl was mostly commentating to herself, not particularly loudly, but enough to be overheard by those nearby who weren't used to tuning out teenage bullshit.

Cadet Rhysi
currently: joining up with the other vanguard members and scanning the area

Looking around the area as she approached the commanders and Lysanna. Rhysi looked very keen and alert. Which she very much was! She'd heard there were going to be more of those star charms scattered about the city during this year's summer festival, and Rhysi was intent on not missing any that came her way. They could be anywhere. There was also the personage of Almadel, who she'd heard was possibly the greatest collector of Stuff on Earth and perhaps the entire Sol system!

Nodding to the commanders and her fellow cadet, Rhysi stood at the ready, just in case...

...in case something fell out of Almadel's pockets. Those familiar with pets would recognize the look on her face as: waiting for people food to fall from the table. That look intensified at the mention of kosopods. While Rhysi had a certain disdain for the organic, which was unpredictable and troublesome to try and control, kosopods had certain benefits, especially for those who knew how to use them.

Nodding at Commander Aliez's criticism, she added in Velenian, "Their loss, our shells."

General Chalcanthite
Chalcanthite nodded as his question was answered and more information was provided, even if he didn't like hearing that it was a probability instead of a certainty. Now that he saw one of his lieutenants here as well, he had another person to keep an eye on. At least she was dependable and seemed to be listening well.

Looking over to where Melpomene was, not quite beside him but not terribly far away, he motioned for them to get a bit closer. "Brassite this here is Melpomene, he can help make sure you have backup while we are out there. He is of the mirror court and will be helping support us both." Lowering his voice a bit as he leaned in, "Remember any names you hear and if any of them speak their magic out loud. We need to gather as much information as we possibly can."

With there being a fight of sorts, he was sure Benitoite would be here as well though he knew they would blend into the crowd with their lack of height. He did see Kafka which meant the smaller General was sure to be nearby. With enough people he had connections to spread within the crowd, this was going to prove quite fruitful for creating reports. The bugs, that was another matter but handling information was something he'd been quite good at since the beginning.

Corrupt Eternal Beatrix

It had taken a bit of time for her to get here, debating things back and forth while out patrolling and nabbing a few starseeds. She had an idea Meissa might be here with the biggest of big boss ladies sending out the message.

Shifting through the crowd she spotted one person she was very excited to see and one that had her prickling with more than a little urge to fight. "Chrys, it's good to see you again. I have someone here as well, fresh in that I've been trying to lead." Waving as she made sure the skeletal mask covered enough of her face that that orchid princess might not recognize her immediately. Scanning the crowd she saw Meissa and pointed towards them while slightly making her way that way. "We should catch up yanno, got some new digs and stuff going on. But... I gotta keep an eye out of the flower b***h."

The hatred was there, something that had been brewing with each flowery knight that had gotten away or had been rescued right when she'd had em where she wanted em.

Stepping in beside the corrupt of bobcats, she smiled as she heard about fighting things. "Oooooo so we can wreck something, that I can handle. Might be a bit gross though." Keeping an eye out, looking for that damn mauvian she just knew was Ida's pet, Beatrix wanted to make sure neither of them got any ideas about trying to convince Meissa to hop-skip and jump back to the holier than thou side of douchebags.

Super DMS Hela

Pulling out her phone, she considered texting Malory about the cute space merchant needing help but she figured with it being bugs they might not want to get all gross with acid and bug guts. She didn't quite like the idea of it either, especially after having to deal with the acid-spitting bugs last year but her eyes were sparkling over the mention of getting to wander a space museum to play pest control.

She had her camera in subspace and if she could find the time she really wanted to try and take some cool space photos. With the night this was happening, she wasn't sure if she'd be able to get a good set of long exposure photos of the meteor shower again so she needed to find something else neat to add to her portfolio.

Slipping her phone out, she zoomed in allllllll the way on Almadel and took a photo before texting it to Mal with a short little message. That done, she tucked her phone away with all its dangling keychains and tried to see if there were any other mirror court members here that she recognized.

Commander Andreiya

He didn’t say we couldn’t take them,” Andreiya mused, also in Velenian. He spoke from just behind Rhysi as he too approached the group. He had arrived on time but moving through the crowd was a bit of an issue. He’d known where he wanted to be, it was just a matter of navigating around everyone else to get there.

They probably don’t know that the shells have any use. We’ll be lucky if they have been shedding, if they are as large as he says? I don’t want to see them hurt, though. It’s too bad we couldn’t bring a few home to Earth. I bet they could help clean up the streets a bit.

He’d passed two dumpsters tonight that could have greatly benefitted from–

He looked at Vyn and Aliez.

...Would that be an impossible request, do you think? We have the resources to safely provide for them. Or is that too selfish?” Rhysi and Lysanna might have only been cadets but it was clear that he already valued their input, too. “Kosopods can digest nearly anything. We could create a mutual alliance with them if we were to bring some back to Earth. We could save them from imminent destruction, too. And if we took care of them, we could harvest their shells when they shed. It could be very beneficial for all of us.

User Image Stiens, Super Senshi of Patchwork

When presented with the invitation, Steins was eager to accept - and volunteer her beau to come along too - something she knew he agreed to with some measure of reluctance, but knew he wouldn't say no to, simply because it was she who had asked. Admittedly, she wasn't sure what she was agreeing to at the time, but it really didn't matter to her. She was just happy to spend time with her friend. Seeing now that they were also among enemies, it did make her a bit nervous. She hadn't really had many run-ins with the 'other side' of things, but she had been told enough things to pay heed to the verbal warnings. Still, they were all there with a common goal, to help a common friend, so maybe there was some measure of safety in that. Well...if anything her naivety-driven positivity could hopefully lift grimmer spirits.

"Well, I've heard a lot from people that have eaten some earth bugs that they are kind of...nutty? The flavor! not the people! Well...maybe some of those people were a bit nutty too, but..."

User Image Hierapolis, Page of Cybele

Hieropolis was beginning to believe that is was the 'that' which Meatloaf spoke of, as he once again found himself among a crowd of peers, and this time enemies. It was the prickling feeling of Chaos that kept him from falling too deep into his social anxiety and instead maintain a protective closeness to the diminutive Steins. Not that he could, by all logic, provide much protection - he was a page, after all, and even Steins was a level of power above him, so it was a relief to have Cybele there.

Cybele had been there when he'd awakened to this power, when he'd blindly lunged to the defense of Steins against a corrupted super senshi - chasing the frantic thing into the woods by the roadside. She'd also been there when he'd dragged the dead body of said senshi back.
So maybe there was more merit to his ability to defend Steins than he was giving himself.

He'd scarcely listened to what they were tasked to do, his mind busy elsewhere, but the conversation between the two senshi brought him back to the surface.

Something about bugs, hunting bugs, eating bugs? Well, that was a topic. While some may have been grossed out by the idea, or just by bugs in general, there really wasn't much of anything left that could gross him out. No, his job had seen to that. He had stories but not enough chuck buckets on hand for the audience.

"Ah, the power of unity extends far beyond just combining our abilities," Xamira explained, her eyes sparkling with ancient knowledge. "When guardian cats come together with a common purpose and understanding, our connection forms a bond that transcends individual strength. Super Sailor Perdita

Perdita put a gentle hand onto Oberon’s shoulder. It wasn’t like him to get worked up. Then again, it wasn’t as if he’d had to face his father’s killer since the killing in question. They had to be careful. As far as they knew, the Negaverse had no idea that Oberon had any relation to Empyrean. Him being the only Senshi within his immediate family instead of a Jupiter knight was a blessing in that regard.

“It’ll be fine,” she whispered to him.

She gave Oberon’s shoulder a supportive squeeze. Almadel didn’t seem awful, even if some might consider him a thief, and the Negaverse… Well, they were just… there—being menacing, their auras cold and ugly. At worst, they were biding their time.

At best… maybe this wouldn’t completely devolve into chaos. Maybe they’d be too distracted by Almadel’s museum, and occupied with the Kosopods, and they could all get through this with minimal bloodshed.

“Just stay away from Jet,” she continued to whisper. “Don’t turn your back on him, but… ignore him for now. We can go and see what this is all about, and if any of the Negaverse agents cause any trouble… I think our numbers are greater.”

Peverell, Corrupt Guardian Cat

The Queen had encouraged any Negaverse Agents to come to the summoning, and Peverell had answered the call. Of course it was to help the Negaverse, but he was also quite interested in learning about this "Almadel" character and what was going on with this "museum".

Peverell didn't know anything about this quirky character other than what had been entered within the database by other Agents and as a newly Awakened Corrupt Guardian, it was his duty to gather more information anyway. And he had been told that staying in the castle for too long was bad for his fur. However he always looked like he had just tumbled out of a clothes dryer.

He had watched Almadel perform his magic tricks and was only slightly disappointed when he started talking about the problem. Alien bugs? Interesting. But he wasn't sure how much he was going to spend fighting versus attempting to explore the "museum".

Still, he waited patiently for them all to be transported, taking in all of the Order, Negaverse, Dark Mirror, and Vanguardians who had decided to answer this alien's call.

General Aquamarine

Aquamarine gave half an ear to the alien, and the rest to Sessrumnir.

“They’re well, thanks for asking,” he said, tone snide, smile even more so. Of course he knew Sessrumnir had been referring to Jet, but Aquamarine had no intention of confirming anything. “That man with you, would that be Remus?”

He eyed the Senshi (Alastor) much as Sessrumnir had eyed Jet. He didn’t match the description Jet had given him—not completely anyway. Black hair. The eyes Aquamarine couldn’t make out clearly from the distance between them, but they could be blue. The colors of his outfit presented the greatest deviation, but magic could often be quite strange in that regard. That he was taller than Jet remembered could be the result of time. It had been years, after all.

“Seems he’s grown up,” Aquamarine observed.

He cast his gaze over the crowd. There were enough agents and Negaverse senshi around that Aquamarine wasn’t terribly concerned about being outnumbered. (Certainly not with a General King accompanying them.)

Of the White Moon, the strongest seemed to be—

“Oh, look. Is that Cybele?” Aquamarine said, feigning surprise. “You’re looking well. Have you lost any friends lately?”

His smile spread into a taunting grin. The Queen had said not to pick battles, but surely she couldn’t blame him for being polite and asking after their enemies. If said enemies happened to attack, Aquamarine would only be acting in self-defense!

Caliban, Eternal White Moon Senshi of Sealing

With the newly awakened life that had sprouted in the spring and summer months, so to did the amount of problems that seemed to be popping up. Several were Homeworlds, and now this with this mysterious "Almadel" character that he had heard through gossip but had never actually encountered himself.

And he hadn't wanted to. But he wasn't about to go and ignore a plea for help, even if he only just felt like he had gotten his lungs back to full function after the Daedalus problem. Hopefully. He did not want to be gassed again, though acidic spit wasn't something he wanted to get either.

As silly as his outfit was, he was glad to have the long sleeves compared to his Basic and Super ones. They had to offer some protection, right?

He stood still, leaning on one foot with his arms crossed around his chest, just waiting for this to be over with at this point. He had yet to return to his Homeworld and was feeling guilty about it.
