Without the combination of the shield's pushback and Almadel's golden ropes, who knows how long Hestia would have stayed outside, caught up in a moment that stretched back into a life and purpose no longer her own? But eventually she was stepping back into the building, space and all it's potential once again firmly behind her. Inhaling sharply, the maid centered herself back into the present and the situation before her.
Yes. Yes, this was an utter mess.
But her team looked to be fine, so priority one was in acceptable state. When Almadel had finished his talk of compensation, Hestia briskly walked up to take his card, and in turn, offered her own. "I'll of course stay to help clean, Mr. Almadel, but if there's a next time, please contact me first. This sort of thing is, what some may call, well within my wheelhouse."

Eternal Chariklo Action: Offering her help. She has small children. She knows Messes. Word Count: intro + close = 581 / battle = 1151
Feeling rather grateful that her faith in the weird merchant had been validated, Chariklo slumped tiredly and looked around. Yeah, this place was kind of a disaster. And poor Almadel seemed to know it. She thought that the fact that he remembered his promises spoke well of his overall character. And he looked so lost amidst his ruined museum...
And while she was pleasantly surprised that he was remembering his promises of payment, she hadn't been expecting the calling card, nor the implications of what such a favor could do.
Finding Ida, she leaned in and whispered, "I'm gonna help him clean up. Wanna join me? We can play catch up as we clean or just sing stupid songs and annoy everyone."
Grinning a little, she winked at the other woman before raising her hand.
"Yeah, I'll help. Where d'you want me to start?"
Eternal Bestla Action: Offering her help and trying to figure out why something in the collection hits her feels Word Count: intro + close = 502 / battle = 928
Bestla was grateful that the kosopod problem had been declared solved, but she couldn’t help but shudder as she wondered where those awful things would go to next. The ******** queen had sprouted wings! But she was still relived. Even if she winced at the merchant’s obvious worry about his collection. She hadn’t gotten to see much, but what she had seen had been amazing. And now, seeing so much of it destroyed… it made her heart ache. She rather thought that it would be like if her little planet suddenly came back to full life and then burned to the ground right after.
Heartbreaking.
But Almadel wasn’t letting that stop him. He was putting on the bravest face she’d seen in the face of cosmic ******** and even remembering to reward everyone. After saving their collective asses from a cold death in space. Oh, she still thought he was weird af, but she had to admire the guy too. So when he asked for help, it seemed a no brainer to offer to stay and give him a hand.
“Hey, I’m happy to help, dude. Just point and I'll lift and sort whatever you need,” she said cheerily. “Just please nothing that requires too much in the way of depth perception?”
Deciding to suit words to action, Bestla began to bring out the pile of things she’d managed to keep from being swept out into space and laid them out to sort. She even began to collect some of the larger items that had been scattered in the ruckus. One item in particular made her pause. Staring at it, she couldn’t figure out why it was evoking such a visceral feeling within. Making a mental note to use her new calling card later, Bestla decided that she’d question Almadel once things were calm. No sense in stirring the pot when everyone was so stressed out still.
But, oh, was she ever going to get some answers out of the strange merchant.
Nis Squire Action: Determined to stay and help if only to be able to go through everything Word Count: intro + close = 517 / battle = 886
Nis wasn’t sure exactly how she’d been rescued from space. But she’d decided that she didn’t care. She was safe, the bugs were defeated and the museum was… more or less intact. As she lay on the floor, resting her battered frame, she listened to Almadel’s fussing and fretting. As much as she might want to think he was over-reacting, she knew he wasn’t. Everything was a mess. She’d seen that much before all hell had broken loose. And then once the kosopods had had their little collective meltdown, she’d seen the new damage they’d inflicted.
It was a miracle that more hadn’t been destroyed. Frankly, given the mess made of everything, she wasn’t sure that she could have remained so generous in the face of seeing her work ruined. But Almadel wasn’t her and that was probably for the best. He’d look terribly silly in her dress. Eyes closed, she listened to him explain the calling cards and smiled. She still had the one he’d given her years ago. Really, it wasn’t the worst thing to have multiple means of contact.
She’d have to make sure to use hers wisely
After several moments, she felt capable of sitting up and did so. Wincing at the rubble and mess, she didn’t blame Almadel for asking for help. Given the treasures here, she thought that it was sort of owed to him. From her place on the floor, Nis grinned wolfishly.
“Almadel,” she began in a teasingly threatening voice, “it would take an armed legion to drag me out of here before I’ve had a chance to help and gush over antiquities. How can I help? I promise I don’t feel as bad as I look.”
No, she actually felt like death on toast, but she wasn’t losing this chance to see and touch ancient bits and pieces of history. She’d rather kiss a kosopod.
Corrupt Ilmare Action: Staying long enough to collect her reward and then booking it for home to sob in the bathtub Word Count: intro + close = 518 / battle = 827
Ilmare had dutifully placed the items she’d saved in a pile where they could be found, sorted and put back where they belonged. She’d been more than a little relieved to see the kosopods leave in what was clearly a huff. She only hoped that the next place they targeted would be better equipped to destroy the damned things! She’d crept around while Almadel rescued everyone who’d been flung out into space and even that made her pretty happy, even though a lot of those folks were on the wrong side of things.
At least according to her superiors. Ilmare reserved judgement on that one. She didn’t really have any new information to share with Laurelite. Almadel was just a weird guy who liked history. Sure he had some fun gadgets like the shield, but it didn’t really strike her as revolutionary. A cat could probably create something similar.
The calling cards though. Now those were interesting and she wondered how many people from the Dark Kingdom would be willing to give theirs up. She certainly wasn’t. But she knew that someone would tell Laurelite about it. Probably the General King she’d briefly seen during the fight. A part of her even wanted to stay behind to help straighten up, but if she did that, there would be too many questions asked of her. What had she learned? What could she give them? Oh and hey, we heard you have a neat little calling card…
No, Ilmare would collect her reward and go home. But not her little room within the Dark Kingdom. Her actual apartment home. She desperately wanted a bath, some neosporin and a handful of advil. Maybe even a bottle of wine.
Maybe two bottles of wine. Anything that would help her forget that she’d been spat on, bitten at and felt numerous little legs trying to crawl all over her. Maybe she’d toss some ice scream into that wish. She wanted time to decompress and consider what she could use her card for.
Maybe she’d be selfish and ask for something that only benefited her. Selfish sounded really good right now. With that thought, she tok her leave, accepting the exit home that Almadel had offered.
By the time his stomach had emptied itself for a second time that evening–or…whatever time of day this counted as here–things were already dying down. He’d glimpsed the Queen make a spectacular exit, and soon her minions followed after she made some kind of awful screech.
Haik had a feeling he’d need help forgetting the sound in the near future.
And the next thing he knew he was being pulled down to safety. Once his feet touched solid ground it took a second to really regain his bearings. For his first time off-planet in literal ages, this wasn’t exactly a fantastic experience. A story to tell one day, maybe–he’d spent a lot of time throwing up or otherwise being helpless, so it wasn’t anything to write home about–but for now he labeled it as bad luck and tucked it away for processing later. Once mentally grounded as well, the senshi turned to face the man who brought them all there.
He took the calling card that was eventually handed to him and peered at it curiously for a brief moment before tucking it safely away.
“I can stay and help,” he said at that point. It wasn’t like he had anywhere to go once he returned to the planet he whisked them all away from, anyway. And if it meant being more helpful than he was earlier, he was all for it.
Who knew? Maybe it would afford him some resources to take back with him without having to use the calling card.
Danube had, admittedly, thought she was probably done for. There was little to no way she could see to get back into the museum. She was willing to trust that there was a plan on Almadel's part, but the trust part was doing a lot of heavy lifting. Then she felt someone's fingers brush hers and turned her head to realise Cybele was out there with her.
"Oh! Are you sure you should be out here?" Sure, Cybele had wings, but Danube didn't imagine that there were flying lessons for whoever had them, and it wasn't like people just normally came with wings. It was then that the barrier began to shrink, to guide them back toward the opening in the side of the museum. It was gentle. She wasn't sure what she was expecting. Maybe to get rushed back toward the museum with a speed and force similar to that which had ejected her and so many other people.
Either way, she was glad for her feet to touch solid ground, and Danube turned to make sure Cybele had also made it back inside. She could just overhear Almadel, and she was relieved to hear that it sounded like the infestation was taken care of. Not without extensive damage, of course. Once she'd verified Cybele was inside, she crouched to set a bust back on a pedestal from where it'd fallen to the floor, a network of cracks webbing across its face.
She hadn't really planned on spending time helping to clean, but it would have been rude to just disappear, she thought. So cleaning, it was.
After everything, Phaethon was just glad to be back on solid ground--the floor of a space museum was close enough--and not floating out in space. Don't get them wrong--the view had been beautiful. They wouldn't forget it! But they could have done without the dizzying spin or the fear that they were doomed to die out out there should the shield crack and give way. The latter was going to give them nightmares, they just knew it, and they weren't sure yet how to explain this latest adventure to Nembus. That was, of course, if she'd even want to hear about it.
No matter. He'd at least help clean for a little bit before looking to go home--
Basiluzzo didn't know what he expected to see when they returned to the main room of the museum, but the artifacts seemed to be in both better and worse shape than he had thought they'd be. It looked like the kosopod invasion in the main room had been taken care of, however, even if a bunch of people looked ruffled up. Almadel's words drifted to him over the crowd.
"-So I think it will be manageable." Well, that was a good sign, right? Basiluzzo looked over his shoulder at the room they'd all left behind. ...It could be worse. Right? He was pretty sure nothing had been out and out destroyed. Damaged, yes, but destroyed? Hopefully not.
Before he went into the room any further, however, Basiluzzo scanned it for the Negaverse. He had a vested interest in making sure none of them could get anywhere near Nectaris. Yes, Almadel had forbidden them from fighting one another, but Basiluzzo still didn't trust the forces of chaos not to take advantage of an opening for attack on order targets. There had been a general-king if he remembered correctly.
While in the middle of trying to pin down where said general king had gone, Basiluzzo made his way closer to Almadel. If anything, so it would be easier to hear him over everyone else. He got close enough to hear Almadel talk about the cards and about people saving the kosopods. Basiluzzo reflected that there was no worry about the latter from himself. He had no idea where he would even put one, and he also empathized quite a bit with Almadel's protectiveness over his domain. The last thing Basiluzzo wanted to do was bring a creature with acid spit to the stone halls of his wonder.
Helping clean up though? Basiluzzo could do that. He didn't have anything to deal with the acid residue everywhere, but he could, at the very least, get to helping tidy up everything that had been knocked over or fallen to the ground. All the while keeping an eye out, of course, and not letting himself stray too far from Nectaris.
Ran didn't know what he was going to do with a calling card for a mysterious alien, but it also probably couldn't hurt, right? Speaking of aliens, he gave the Velencians nearby him a wide berth as he followed the others back into the main room from the side room. Nothing personal, but he did notice some of them holding onto the kosopods, and he had yet to regain any trust of them from the attack some time ago that had left Ran with nightmares for weeks afterward. There was no way to tell who of them were allied with the Negaverse, and the Negaverse had done unspeakable things that day.
So he gave them a wide berth.
He followed Basiluzzo loosely, idly picking up objects and the smaller displays here and there to give himself something to do while waiting for the ordeal to be over. Did he regret coming? That was hard to say. He was no worse for the wear, but he would have probably rather laid in bed and played video games on his Switch. Less acid involved, and definitely less risk to his arms and legs, or the fingers that had gotten too close to the kosopod in the vent.
Speaking of that kosopod, he'd done what he could to try and get the squished remnants off of that display case, but there was going to be a smear there unless someone went back with a cleaner and rags to take care of it. Ran was not exactly jumping to be the person to go back with a cleaner and rags. He cast a dubious look at the damage in the side of the museum and the netting that was holding it all together. That... looked messy. He was glad they had all been in a different room when that had happened. Considering he saw the nest but not the corpse of the queen, he had some guesses as to what, exactly, had happened while they were in the side room.
Stay and help clean? He puffed his hair out of his eyes, taking a slow look at the museum around him. Many hands made light work, and all, but...
He wasn't jumping to stay and help tidy up, either. They'd done the best they could. When it was his turn, he did take a card, though. Who knew when it would come in handy later?
...Would it affect things if he didn't stay to help clean? Would Almadel somehow know?
...Better stay and help, then.
Ran's groan was purely internal as he set about helping right the place. He tried not to think about the presence of the Negaverse and of the aliens in the meantime.
Basiluzzo wasn't the only one looking out for Nectaris and looking around to make sure nobody in chaos' forces tried anything with her. Unlike Basiluzzo, however, Stromboli stayed close to Nectaris and prioritized identifying anyone that might be a potential problem. He didn't trust heckling not to become a problem, or worse, Almadel's orders or not. All it would take would be one of them. Just one.
He was relieved, though, that everyone so far seemed more interested in cleaning up the space than getting into fights. Cleaning, he could do! Stromboli joined the masses of people picking things up and wiping things down. He used his scarf with some reluctance. He knew it would reappear good as new when he next transformed, but that didn't stop it from being gross, and it didn't stop him from holding his scarf well away from himself when not actively using it to clean.
Stromboli envied those whose abilities might give them access to water. But he guessed he'd just have to make do with what he was doing - using his scarf to wipe things down and just trying not to touch it. Ostensibly it was because he knew there was acid. He could see spots of it eating through his scarf where he'd wiped them up. But also?
It was just gross.
"Are you doing okay?" he asked Nectaris in a low voice, still not taking his eyes off of the people around them. If someone actually came at her, he knew that she was stronger than he was. Most of the people in the room were stronger than he was. But that did nothing to lessen his resolve. She was his daughter, after all, and he would do the same thing if Basiluzzo were nervous about the enemy being there. Granted, his youngest son seemed content to wander off. Not too far, Stromboli noted, but still.
He wasn't sure what he would do with the calling card they were being given. He guessed he could hold onto it until a question occurred to him, but Stromboli had nothing he could think to ask in the moment. Maybe if he encountered something particularly annoying on his wonder? Basiluzzo, Encke, and Abzu had all been urging him for the longest time to actually go explore his wonder, to see what it was about, what he could do with it. Maybe he actually would. Maybe he'd need Almadel to get rid of an ancient booby trap or something of the sort.
He was going to go home and take a long, hot bath when he was done, but Stromboli supposed it was time to get back to cleaning.

No one was berating him. No one was assaulting him with questions or insults or accusations. Almadel relaxed. He rolled his shoulders and breathed, and it seemed like he was rapidly regaining his perky, charming demeanor. Even if he occasionally winced and sighed and lamented the destruction, he still seemed like he was more confident now that the Kosopods were gone.
He accepted Hestia’s business card and skimmed it over immediately, but he made a point to tilt it to make sure there wasn’t any hidden text, and he held it up to the light just to be sure.
“I like this, this is cute. What are your rates?” he asked. He flicked his wrist and her card disappeared, either an intentional magic trick or just out of habit.
To Chariklo, “Please, if you wouldn’t mind. I need to clear out a corner for any of those Kosopods I know some of you went after. Oh, I don’t even think I have a broom anywhere around here to offer.”
He looked at a storage closet that seemed to have been at least somewhat emptied during the disruption and made his way towards that. “Oh, I could go dig around somewhere. But I’d hate to leave you all again. Oh–no, there’s still a bit in here. Chariklo, please. If you could help me sweep. Here, I have a few. I buy them in bulk because I break them so often, I can’t believe they’re still here.”
He pulled out six and held one out to her–and to Hestia, since she’d been so kind.
“Are you sure?” he asked Nis. She looked a bit rough but he wasn’t one to turn any offer of help away. “Thankfully, I doubt you’ll find any armed legions around here. Probably. I suppose there’s plenty hiding out there in the depths of space, but here is usually safe. Well, safe-er. But I’ve had years of trial and error to get this right.”
He looked around him. “Well, mostly right. Would you mind sweeping, too? There’s al sorts of little things on the ground. I’ll have to find where they belong. This might take ages to sort through. Ah, maybe I’ll have to ask for part time help over the summer. I don’t know. An internship, maybe. But travel is so hard for you all, isn’t it? Hm,” he sighed. He offered her a broom, too.
Haik was beckoned over for one as well. “You’re new, I don’t think I’ve seen you before, have I? Thank you for coming out to help.”
Bestla looked strong, and she offered to lift and sort. She already seemed to have an idea what to do and he breathed a sigh of relief that it was one less thing to figure out. “Thank you, you’re doing a wonderful job there.”
He was obviously appreciative to everyone offering to help; there were at least a few more brooms to go around, and between the debris and broken displays, there was plenty to move or sort to make it easier for him. "I hope everyone's all right after all that," he said to the crowd. Briefly, he eyed the hole in the wall, like he was trying to judge how long the patch would last. "That wasn't supposed to happen, but things have been so off track out here. It's hard to predict the next disaster, I might be better off moving again. Which is a shame, because I love this location. But don't you worry, I'll have this all fixed up before I invite you up again. It'll be safer next time. Oh, but I might have some first aid if anyone needs it. Please, if you need to sit down..."
He nudged a crushed Kosopod away from the door. "Well, there's plenty of room to sit down. Just watch out for the glass and grime. The stairs look clean. Just don't push yourself on my account, please. Do you want some snacks? Oh, they might be poisonous for you. I'd best not, sorry."
Helio didn’t think twice when Jet’s hand was just there. He grabbed on and held tight to the General King, incredibly grateful to not be sucked out of the hole behind him. Once everything was said and done, and two feet were finally put back on the ground after Almadel began to reel everything in, Helio turned to Jet. “Thank you for that, sir.” He threw an honorific on. Unsure in this interaction with Jet. Their last interaction hadn’t been the best, an dHelio was trying, albeit slowly, to turn himself around. If nothing else, even if he didn’t like the man, Helio could force himself to acknowledge that Jet was his superior in many, many ways. “I uh…I should check in with my team. Thank you again.”
Oh, it was awkward. Very awkward. Helio made a hasty get away back to the team who were all beginning to pull themselves together and take stock of what was going on.
His first stop was to check on his brother and Tama since last he had seen them poor Tama was holding onto to Fafnir trying not to get dragged out of the hole as well. ”You two ok?” He quickly took stock of the two visually, looking for any apparent injuries from the fights and gravity mishaps.
While others were leaving, and rightly so he supposed, Selinur had remained hanging back and watching everything. The place was, without a doubt, a mess and that was putting it lightly. The fact the hole had been handled was good, he didn't fancy the idea of drifting off into space, as he stood there waiting till the numbers had dwindled and than he stepped forward.
He knew he had a card from the other, from the first time he'd run into Almadel but now he had anotehr - how lucky for him. This new card was tucked off into subspace before he finally appraoched the other. "Almadel." He greeted with a nod of his head, watching the other carefully. "I'll; help in cleaning." Motioning towards a broom, with a nodding of his head. "I'll help clean and if you want help in the future...perhaps a way to get here, whether you move this place or not, might be an idea. I'm sure soem of us wouldn't mind assisting you with organizing and cleaning things." He'd like to see what this place housed, all of it, and a simple tour wouldn't allow for that.
If a way up here could be arranged it would benefit him, and perhaps Almadel and others as well, Selinur was thinking more of what he wanted though...of what he wanted to see and learn, this was similar to the lirbary on his own home but with far less books and scrolls. It was still a place of learning though.
They'd done it, somehow. Successfully removed the infestation, and Daedalus had managed to capture a few kosopods that might well do some of the work of cleaning up his world. Perhaps it wasn't a perfect idea--but there wasn't much more damage they could do, and he'd just have to keep a close eye on their progress.
Once he was sure he was settled, and he'd taken a moment to check his shoulder, he moved over to Almadel, and gave him a smile.
"Is there anything I can do to help with repairs, specifically?" He asked. "Machines like me, but I can move building materials with the best of them, too."
The kosopods were gone, through the shield that seemed to be carefully cradling them all. Kerberos was glad for it--and glad that he'd trusted Almadel, who was far more reliable than he seemed at first. Or perhaps than he liked to present himself, Kerberos wasn't sure.
But even once they were inside, he couldn't shake the cold, unsettled feeling he'd gotten from laying eyes on that storm in space. Whatever it meant, whatever was happening--it was coming for them, he was sure of it. And the disruption to Knight powers that Lyonesse and Nile had experienced was only the beginning, he was fairly certain.
Ugh, he hated the uncertainty of it all. And it made him want to speak to one of the few people he knew was knowledgeable about this sort of thing--not least because it felt like something that large might mean Lyndin's Vanguard was affected too.
Perhaps, when he got back to Earth, he would contact his friend. It had been far too long since they'd spoken, anyway.
There was a lot of Chaos with the Kosopods still fighting them, and some were floating beyond some shield that was keeping them from floating beyond it. He was glad though, there was something of a safety net to keep him from floating out into space just aimlessly. The knight had released any that he'd redirected away from him and the museum.
He watched the Queen also take off and take the rest of her brood with her that survived. "Oi, I hope they don't end up on someone else's home." That was bad enough he had a few acid burns on his arms and legs.
Then it seemed gravity brought him and others back down to the museum. Which was glad it had returned. He was listening to Almadel talk about them helping clean up, after they just helped him get rid of the kosopods. . . The knight sighed, they weren't pest control and construction experts but he couldn't help but feel a little bad for the guy.
Niflhel was looking at the calling card that he was given. It sounded like there was an IOU as a form of payment. Niflhel sighed before pondering questions to ask "If we can't help clean up now, would we be able to come back to help?"
He was thinking about how things looked on his own wonder and knew how annoying it was to face cleaning up a mess alone. If they were allowed to come back, he wouldn't mind helping clean up but he needed to clean up and treat these acid wounds first. "Also, the kosopods went into space, what's the chances they'll end up on someone else's homeworld or wonder?' He really didn't want to run into these things again but he was concerned they'd run through someone else's home.
He dropped the calling card into his subspace pocket, where he'd shoved a violet star charm he'd found earlier before joining this adventure.
The chaos was crazy and when the bugs sprayed acid and then took off through space, everything seemed to settle down. She wasn't floating long, nor did she reach the shield but she was brought back to the museum and back to the floor. Byakko looked around and then started searching for her sister.
"Tea!?" She called weaving through the damaged surrounding and people looking for her little sister. It wasn't long before she found Tea with a cat. "OH there you are, I'm glad you're safe!" She said looking over her sister. It was then she noticed that Almadel was handing out little calling cards and the senshi of the west blinked looking at the card. She had pulled a little purse from her subspace with an emerald star charm hanging from it and placed the card into it. So she wouldn't loose it.
She also noticed the cat as she came closer to the pair, she smiled as she watched the two of them talk. It was nice that her sister made a friend, a cat at that. Who better to have looked after her sister during this ordeal since she couldn't.
Tea nodded, when coco said she wanted a healing, she called her attack "Mice's Luck!" She watched as a small energy mouse appeared and started making the same movements as the mouse, "Pick a hand" She said as she held out her hands "If you pick the hand with the bone you get healed"
The chibi senshi shrugged, he magic was weird and sporadic. "I think I need to figure out how to age out of chibi-ness. . . since I'm old enough to be a full senshi."
She looked at Coco, "I think it's easier because I am always a human? It'd be like me trying to be a cat, there'd be things I'd wonder how you would do."
She paused when the gravity returned and everyone was coming back, she heard her sister call her name, "Byakko!" There was a pause but before she could introduce her sister to Coco; it was already done. Tea shrugged softly, as she took the calling card popping it into her subspace with the opal star charm; while waiting on Coco's hand choice, "Don't you think we should help clean up a little bit? This was kind of our mess to have made." She said looking up at her sister, still having her focus on hopefully healing coco.
Sailor Scout Attack: Mice's luck
When Tea calls her attack a small mouse made of magical energy appears in front of a target and shows a small bone in it's hand which it then hides in one hand. Chibi sailor tea then mimics the movements that the mouse makes of shuffling the bone, and holding out her hands palm down for the target to choose between. If they choose the hand with the magical bone, the target is then healed by a small amount.
This attack Heals minor abrasions, anything worse it'll heal about 10% - which is enough to stop bleeding if freshly wounded. This attack can be used Three times The whole attack only lasts 30 seconds then the 'magical mouse disappears
[quote="MiddyGlow" ]Sorry for the delay! Tea says pick a hand - while Byakko has joined and says hello.[ /quote]

Lt. Cryptomelane Dice Roll: N/A. Action: checking on himself and Sonora, and then wishing to go the ******** home, plz.
Cryptomelane nodded in understanding and checked over his arm. A bit sore, yes, and he suspected there would be bruising in the morning, but—“I’d rather be bruised and alive than have either of us dead,” he pointed out.
The cards that their host distributed certainly sounded as though they could have potential uses. It didn’t entirely look like much, but then again, neither did Sonora, and anyone who tried to underestimate her would have been the fool for doing so. Yes, Cryptomelane pocketed the card, but in a hushed voice, for Sonora’s ears only, he added, “If this is how our host treats his very close friends, then I shudder to think about how he treats his enemies.”
Maybe Almadel’s outward behavior didn’t resemble Brother Horace very much. Geniality with an edge to it, yes, but none of Brother Horace’s faux concern that went down like poisoned wine. None of Brother Horace’s posturing about how he alone could save someone, nor his liberal use of misappropriated scripture and spiritual writing. Still, something about how this Almadel seemed to define and use the term “friend”—something about the idea that he considered a friendship forged in the flames of him nearly allowing over a hundred people to die when they had, as far as he needed to know, only come out tonight to help him—inescapably reminded Cryptomelane of his so-called brother.
“Stay safe if you decide to stay and help him,” Cryptomelane said to Sonora, “but I need to get out of here.”
And with a thought, exactly as Almadel had said, Cryptomelane returned to Earth.
He would need to think very hard about when to use the calling card, if he ever did.
Action: Opps over wrote an old post bringing this where it belongs, can't fix the old one lol.
Coco was confused by this magic for heal, but she did as she was told. Coco considered the matter of being a chibi. "Well you were awakened very early I'm assuming whoever awakened you had a good reason to do so, I've never awakened a chibi myself.. I haven't done much awakening.. if any so far." She screwed up her face in thought. "I need to help more senshi upgrade their powers.. as for leaving being a chibi behind I think he has to do with you being old enough to handle the magic.." She said pondering the question. "I'd have to check with an older guardian cat to be sure." She paused "Yea being a human is weird." She said still standing in human form since everything had happened so fast that it hadn't been an hour since she had turned into a human. "I can give you my phone information and I can help you as much as I can and sure we can stay and help clean up." Coco said nodding firmly. She heard Tea cry out for someone. "Who are you trying to find?" She asked looking around once the dust had settled.
The Mauvian shook himself off. He managed to stay with his box throughout the events. He felt quite proud of himself, as he sat there with his tail slowly clicking back and forth as he addressed the destruction around all of them. This was going to be quite the clean-up task. A tall best suited for those with thumbs of he was being honest. Almadel seemed quite distressed over the work ahead, but thankfully for him, people stepped up to help, including the teams very own maid. Hestia looked downright thrilled to step up, if maybe a bit upset that others would also be assisting.
Magnus had his mind on something else. It took some time off him pushing the box until he reached Almadel. His little furry self tired from all of the exertion, but excitement still radiated from his blue eyes as he looked up at the alien.
“Almadel, there was a very curious looking Kosopod in the swarm. It stood out like a jewel among rocks. Have you ever heard or seen a gold Kosopod?” He placed a paw on the box the golden Kosopod was in. “It was so incredibly shiny. I kept it alive Incase it may be more useful that way, but it shouldn't be scheduling off anywhere if you want to take a look? I was wondering if you think there's anything special about it besides just it's coloring?”
Asking Almadel was the closest Magnus was going to get four an appraisal of his find. He was already thinking about what he could do with the creature, dead or alive.

Almadel smiled politely at Selinur. “Always so good to me. Here,” he said, passing along the broom. “Unfortunately, Earth just isn’t equipped for easy transportation en masse. I’ve been trying, don’t get me wrong. But I’m dabbling in other projects to set the stage. We’ll see. I don’t have a secure, stable way to get you here and back on the regular and I’d rather not actually put you in danger. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m very endeared to all of you.” He smiled at Niflhel apologetically. “I can’t guarantee a path back here any time soon. I don’t have unlimited space fare for such large groups. But I’d like to have you all back again. Maybe under better circumstances.”
He surveyed the damage once more and hid a heavy sigh when Urania asked about inventorying his artifacts. “Maybe, in the future. Not now. I want to make sure everything is safe and secure. No point in doing inventory if the wall caves in tonight, right?” He laughed like it wasn’t a reality he’d already considered and he eyed the hole again.
It would keep for a while, he was confident. He just needed to make sure there was a better fix now.
Daedalus was offering as well, so he asked, “I don’t suppose you’ve got a good eye for metal? I have some construction supplies in that room over there,” he pointed to a locked room. “The door’s jammed but if you can get it open and help me find some good panels, it would make it much easier to fix the wall. I won’t send anyone up there, but if machines like you, maybe my door will like you, too.”
He heardMagnus, it just took a moment to see what he was talking about. Niflhel’s question was on his mind so as he peered at the box Magnus was holding, he told Niflhel, “There’s a very small chance they’ll willingly end up out there. I mean, of course it’s possible, but there’s plenty to nibble on much closer to here. I don’t think you have to worry. Most magically guarded places have extra protections in place.”
He took the few remaining brooms from the pack with him as he approached Magnus. “Did you find one, really? I mean, they’re supposed to be lucky, first of all–but you have to be lucky to find one. They’re incredibly rare. It’s not just a gold coloring, it’s gold gold. The good stuff. Very popular on Earth, isn’t it? You’ll have a fresh gold shell every few months for the rest of its life. Which…could be a very long time. The shells are very pure quality, usually. You’ll have to test it. You’re a Mauvian, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that gold is one of the best conductors of electricity? Take what you know and expand it double, easily. It’s almost impossible to tarnish or corrode. It’ll last for a while. I don’t suppose you want to trade for it? I won’t badger you, of course. But if it ever gets to be too much of a hassle, you should definitely give me a call”
